is is always good to see that means the teachers are doing an amazing job so kudos to them um item C is monthly reports uploaded for your review uh item D is our harassment intimidation and bullying report we did have one report at DV8 and that um was a confirmed report of bullying I gave you um it's a it's sort of a new format to for you to be able to look at it um so you can read the description um but the highlighted areas also show you what action was taken with the students who were involved and that's we pulled that from our new uh hipster system that we're using this year uh item a is a personnel and so we have a number of personnel we have homean instructors um we're g to

strike through the one personal uh um individual correct yes we are Gina just a short period of time ago she um 30 minutes ago she email withdrew her acceptance of the yeah position so Gina Gina is is out of that list um but we we are making progress a couple things to note on there um Meredith Lawrence teacher she is our technology teacher so who will be starting soon so we're very uh fortunate to find someone to fill that position it's always difficult also want to draw your attention to the music the fall semester music instructor I had that in my newsletter for everyone to see we're working towards trying to make sure that we're you know providing a much much more solid music instruction um this in this portion of the year and also

in the spring when you say music do you mean singing or both band both yep instrumental and coral okay yep uh second item there is uh with regret we have two resignations we have Miss Tidman and then I knew I was gonna get a I was gonna get a sound and then also um part-time instructional lead Miss M Ali who was only with us for a short period of time um we have approval of two uh mentors for uh two of our newer teachers uh number four there is um to approve a leave of of absence excuse me uh under curriculum and instruction we have uh a guest speaker coming in that's Elizabeth Morse uh then we also have the therapy dog who is going to start coming in um to miss wanko's class which

is I saw that happen at over Brook and it really is is amazing um so we're going to we've already started that um uh number two is an update to our curriculum for health grade 8 uh New Jersey changed the standards and now we have to add in a section on Grief and dealing with grief and so that is added into the health curriculum uh item G is uh number one is for some outside organizations to use our facilities they've used our facilities before so nothing new there number two under the discussion items is what I I sent you about prior to the meeting uh our three what we're going to do is approve our three board goals that we already had in place say I think they were from like 2122 um and then

we'll discuss what we want to do moving forward uh in executive uh later on but we for for compliance with qack we need to have uh approved board goals at this time we also have two District goals that I created again up for discussion but we need to make sure that we approve them um so that we're in compliance as well number three is just a change to our regulation you had discussed this with uh Dr pretelli when he was here um the regulation for advanced approved volunteers only two changes I made there changed number of years um now if someone fills it out they're good for the entire time um they're a parent in our school district and there's no in-person training requirement um so we just lay everything out for them when they

sign up number four um is to acknowledge a school one of the school volunteers so her name is listed there below we already have a field trip we're going to see more of them coming in because they're due to be in me uh before the Christmas holiday and that WPS up my section can I have a motion a second before I ask if there's any questions motion any questions Mr Davis yes Mr Allen yes Mr Jones yes Mrs R yes Mrs Reed yes Mrs Helmont yes Mrs Juliano yes Mr Golden yes thank you can I have a motion and second then to approve business and finance items XA through K I'll go through them second all right um financial report a through E A through D is actually for the month of July um no

line item has been over expended um the treasur report and secretary's report are in agreement there are no changes in anticipated Revenue amounts or sources at this time and no uh accounts or funds have been overexpanded in violation of administrative code uh sixday sufficient funds are still available to meet the district's Financial Obligations for the remainder of the year um e is just to approve the bills we did have a small revision I think it was off by just a couple dollars I think it had to do with some shipping cost so we had to um change that from the July meeting um and then batch 52 is um the amount is there I think everybody had a chance to review them and put all the signatures on there f is just the September 2024

listing of substitutes for source for teachers along with the pay rate as well as the bill rate for each um position that we use G is to approve the 2425 cafeteria dispersements for the month of August 2024 in the amount of $2,428 um H is to approve the care dispersements for the month of August 2024 that was um 0 um can and then I is to approve the added District tuition contracts for the 2425 school year we have one for Burlington County Special Services that's a grade 12 special education student $ 59,4 33 and then a non-resident fee of$ 4791 Black Horse Pike Regional School District grade 11 special ed student um tuition charge for esy was 3792 plus $2,644 which was a shared cost of nursing Services they also sent us the um 2425

uh contract as well which is a tuition rate of 32,000 shared nursing charge of $1,480 and a speech related Services charge of $675 uh Gloucester County Special Services School District this is a preschool student um special Edge student tuition charge of 4770 for the esy program we also have a grade8 special Edge student there tuition charge of 4770 also for the esy program they also have that student also has a $3,900 fee for a one toone teacher assistant for the esy so I believe we did not get their school year contracts yet but they're the esy ones and then we have one student for um Burlington County Institute of Technology which is on a similar basis of say um Cy County Technical School and things of that nature so this is a grade 11 gen

ed student uh tuition charges $1,559 you have an out of County fee there um which we don't have for the cam County um but that has to be approved as well all of these were in the budget um Jay is to recommend uh travel and professional development for several of our staff members you'll see the costs that are listed on the agenda um quite a few are actually free to the district um which is nice no cost to the district we like that yeah we sure do like that um and then K is to approve the SOP the standard operation procedures manual for the business office it requires annual review this is also one of the qac indicators so um it's Beenie it's been uploaded to the portal for all of you to see and

now we're going to go ahead and approve it we approve it annually um so does anybody have any questions all right let me scroll back uh Mr Davis yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Jones I gota EX stand on um okay okay I think it's I I okay let me put you there so yeah but abstain on I you got it Mrs R yes Mrs Reed yes Mrs Helma yes M Juliano yes and Mr Golden yes all right perfect thank you um I don't believe we have any old business uh new business uh committee updates we don't currently have anything for negotiations right Mr Le or Mr Davis we're good to go there um Finance we did have a finance um committee meetings we didn't have too much on there I just want I let everybody

know that we're still in the accounting system for July 2024 there's a lot of Grant close out and system close out for this time of year so we're still working through that um we did have to pay some of our ARP grants just to close them out by September 30th some of them were waiting on like a packing slip but those checks were generated um and are ready to go so we can close that out be ready for the final report um for all of our grants actually in October um I do anticipate that as this October meeting I'm always in so many different months I don't know where I am um at the October meeting we should have the August and September reports and be back to approving every single month you know just

that month behind as opposed to multiples or being two months behind uh revenue report we shared that with them we don't really have any revenues yet because our tax levy hasn't come in the state hasn't come in so all the revenues that were expected to receive are on the report but we didn't get anything yet so um they did start rolling in in August we don't have any additional special ed placements for out a district at this time no additional mckin vento placements either um grants I just told them that at the point where I'm closing out a lot of the grants from uh last year the period actually goes through September 30th so all of those are being um charged off and paid so we can do those final reports um our 2025 Ida

Grant was approved but the esa Grant is still being reviewed uh that one usually takes a little bit longer but once they're both approved I'll start submitting for reimbursements for any costs that are expended along the way um and then for miscellaneous I just said that um most of our buses passed our annual safety inspections by the state of New Jersey we did have a couple buses down for minor issues uh breaks um waiting for one part they were all back two of them were back up and running that day in the afternoon the next one was up and running uh by the morning um and we just have one still out for service uh luckily we have a few spare buses so um we're not down and out there and when we say breaks

the breakes were fine yes they were actually don't clarify that not there by their it shouldn't have been it actually shouldn't have been F the gentleman had said um the brakes are good but they won't be for the next round but they were good for now so I was like Chuck was like okay you know you're afraid to ruffle on your feathers so he did speak with the supervisor and the supervisor like yeah we'll we'll take care of it we'll fail it they're fixing it today right now but we might be gone we'll pass it and we'll get you back on the road um correct yes we have quarterly inspections on all of our buses so our buses are all safe to be on the road um given time thank you uh state report season

is here so Assa and drts are two big ones um so they'll keep me busy for the next couple months um so that was it for finance committee any questions all right um New Jersey school boards just at the workshops coming up I did send an email it didn't appear that there was any interest I know it's hard to get to those I wanted to say that I'm thinking about going maybe Wednesday or Thursday of that week if anybody wants to tag along I would just need to know have to generate a purchase order like yesterday maybe you want let me know by tomorrow Monday I tomorrow one way or the other if anybody wants to tag along or is thinking about it let me know I'd love to have company there are some good

there are some but now with the online mandated training it's like that was the big push for people going yeah they usually do have a really good um so yeah if anybody still decides I'll be there those days you'll be there those days okay tag with me if anybody still uh wants to go or decides to go let me know as soon as possible um and services Michelle's not here um she has back to school night tonight P Hill Board of Education anything so we had our September meeting earlier in the month um we met all the new um staff uh in the district we met the new student Representatives they have two seniors that represent the over basically um on the board with us of course they're not allowed to be in like executive

sessions stuff like that but they give us like a um some details of what's going on in the school um so we met them the achiev program received a new lead which achie the achiev program used to is formerly known as Twilight um and it's Alec Nikolai he was a teacher at Overbrook so he's very familiar with the overbrook's um school we they also received they also got a new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction and that's Michelle MSA she was formerly the humanity Humanities supervisor and the vice principal of Overbrook before she was uh just got this new position uh Sheree Brady the ba retired the well will be retiring I think it's tomorrow technically but um and then so we'll have a new ba as of next month um they also told us

about the electronic ticket sales are now going to be sold online for football wrestling and basketball um so if you want to go to one of those games you need to buy your ticket online and the next meeting is October 8th oh and one more thing Overbrook is coming back with their site council meeting and I don't have the date but I want to say it's the end of October and the first one there will be four two will be virtual two will be in person and the first one is in person in the media center I'll get that date for anyone that's interested in this room because we have no people out there but um and that I will tell you from experience I worked with Mr Lee on the site Council when he

was at Overbrook and it's very informative you learn a lot about the school and what's going on and the problems they have or the things they want to do to change things or you learn about it kind of before everybody else too because they get your Insight on it which was nice and that's as a parent as necess number the last thing I just put on there was for Camy County School boards Association they are having a hybrid meeting to discuss goal setting it's on um actually next Tuesday so if anybody was interested in either attending virtually or in person uh just let me know and I can go ahead and register you um I think that it's from oh it starts at 6:45 in person starts at 6 I guess because they feed you

um virtual starts at 6:45 that must be when all the Talking starts um so if anybody wants to go to that just shoot me an email and I can go ahead and register you anything else for new business all right can I have a motion and a second then to uh open the meeting to the public for the discussion of non-agenda items motion second all those in favor opposed orain none and I have a motion and a second then to close the to the public please motion all those in favor and opposed orain right we do have a small um executive session so at this point I'm GNA have um ja um Jacob shut us down for a brief period of time there will not there may be action may be action taken Okay so

I'll take it down I'll take you I'll do it the morning thank you yeah thank you yeah keeps trying to get him to do that he saying no I can't do that no that would work too well as soon as Jacob shuts us down we'll go ahead and open up again ex session we may have action we shouldn't be too long but we'll need you just to stick around to go live once we're done okay and then um just in case we have action e e e you don't get to sleep over down there but Pine Hill does over miles at the 50 mile all right you guys are all set thank you all right so no action needed to be taken after our executive session so at this point we can go ahead and
