003it's certainly not for lack of trying um so you know we continue to post and repost and um so if you know anybody who wants to wants to work send them our way and if you see um the job boosting shared out on Facebook and and um on the website if you could all share them as well that would that always goes a long way you never know who's going to see it so all right let's get into it uh two Safety and Security drills at JFK early in the month of August they're listed there no Safety and Security drills at DDE uh item C is monthly reports uploaded to the portal for your review special services buildings and grounds technology curriculum instruction uh and both principal reports uh we had no hibs in the
004month of August which is a good thing uh for personnel we have we do have some recommendations we have uh bus driver custodian a bus Aid um a part-time instructional assistant uh for JFK and fresh today we have a teacher and that says ma step two that should say ba step two next to her um salary there um and she will have to give her 60 days which is why it says H her before October 25th uh item number two under Personnel uh we have resignations first we have Laura Burke which is effective September 1st um so congratulations to her for on her retirement uh and Michaela bener withdrew from her position we hired her in June uh and then she got another offer and had not signed her contract yet so she withdrew her
005name so that that position that he saw reposted today uh we have to approve item three is to approve our two um two new teachers uh there are mentors so both Miss Lang and Miss wanko will be mentors for our brand new teachers um we item four we would also like to approve Jeffrey Gaton a speech language pathology student at Stockton University he's going to do his um externship from January through May with Miss kazinski uh F curriculum instruction we we had three items there uh the first two are just annual reviews of things that we have to put together each year first one being the mentoring plan which just kind of lays out what how we are going to Mentor our new teachers uh and then the second item there is our professional development
006plan both of those items have been uploaded for your review uh and then third something pretty cool uh we are going to approve the visitation of xandy a trained therapy dog and xand is going to come into the um and a classroom twice a month roughly twice a month for the um entirety of the 24 25 school year we did that at at Overbrook a lot kids loved it kids in that room love it kids in the whole school love it I know I'll need that schedule yeah right need to go visit so miss wo came to me at the end of last year and asked if we could do it and I was like yeah absolutely um so the dog became like a a certified service dog over the summer they she sent me

008violation of njac 6A 23A 1610 um sufficient funds were available to meet the um obligations for the remainder of the year the treasures report and secretary's report did match for June and there were no changes in our anticipated Revenue amounts or sources a is to approve H payment of the bills Stacy and Rebecca signed off on all of those um during our finance committee meeting f is to approve the August 24 listing for source for teachers with the rates there listed for the pay rate and the bill rate G is to approve the ceter dispersements for the month of July we didn't have any because they're not an operation H is to approve the care dispersements for the month of July 2024 in the amount of $235.66 I is to approve um out of District
009tuition contracts for the 2425 school year we have a grade 12 plus um speci student attending Burlington County Special Services that was um budgeted for we have Kingsway quot grade 12 student um uh attending for the year we have pine that was also budgeted Pine Land Learning Center this is a grade 10 student this was not budgeted this came in after um after our budget was already set and the cats and back school for the death also uh grade 12 um can't believe grade 12 um that was also budgeted for um J is to approve some professional development and travel just for one of our staff members Miss Poley K is to approve um a contract for speech language services with let's talk speech and then L is to approve um revised student lunch of
010breakfast prices we kept them the same but then there's a tool we have to do through um Department of Agriculture which caused us to have to raise our prices it tells us based on how much you have and how much there's a whole bunch of different factors so we did have to raise it so this is the new amount it's still free redu if they're qualified for reduce it's still free for them this year um not just for free free breakfast and free lunches if you reduce to get free as well so any questions there because of the calculation for the school bunches is that why it's more expensive here than it is in Rook probably okay I think it had to do does it have to do with like the income levels that kind

012uh finance committee talked about these out of District placements I'm kind of watching that closely with the addition of the one from Overbrook um as well as some others that are kind of on our radar so keep everybody posted on that um grants final reports are going to be due in October we'll close out that ARP the American Rescue plan Grant um and some of our other ones Stacy and Rebecca did our bills list um bus passes went out today um we have special Roots just for Kennedy for preschool and kindergarten um two of those roots for next year which is nice um you saw the new bus driver being hired she's actually a resident which will be really great for um Our Town um and then our CARE program has an increased enrollment for

014meeting they're calling it a transitional year um they're excited about the future we approved their capital investment plan which includes purchasing real estate they're looking into purchasing real estate uh property in Camden now instead they're previously looking in Collingswood um they're also making building improvements to their facility in clemon too as well as educational programs technology grants and scholarships cool Hi H um we had our meeting the day after our special meeting um we just approved new hires um new coaches um today or the freshman orientation is next Tuesday my son won't be able to make it so I actually went in today for a tour with him and met the new assistant principal Mr Jones um and yeah Mr Jes not Keith um school starts September 4th um the schedules I don't know if
015I'm supposed to announce this but they are on genis as of today I think I fig found them too I had fill out all those forms fill out all the forms before you get on um and when I was in there for the tour today I noticed some upgrades were being done they weren't completed yet but there were some that were like in process they were redoing some of the floors and some of the classrooms which is nice to still see that there's still up great going on over there even though they've done a lot the last few years that's pretty much it and a really awesome mural oh the one on the when you walk in yeah oh yeah they did when you walk in they actually put new doors there too like I

017little bit more flexible with the Berlin kids this year because I know it's I get this question all the time from the parents um I don't I noticed you hired a bus driver which I is good yes the problem is that their activities bus comes when we're dropping off our K Kennedy kids I understand I mean we can try to roll out an extra bus um maybe at like 4:30 my biggest problem with it I don't know if the other parents feel this way is I don't know when the buses are coming well there was a lot of times I'd pull up to pick up my kid right and the Berlin bus is sitting there and I'm like well if I would to known that I'd like take the bus sometimes it's five sometimes it's
