002our discipline um data and also our uh hi data hi num so these are things typically that you see throughout the course of the school year but we're also required by the state to report it out to you um at the end of the year as well so first I'll do JFK and just real quick overview so you'll see some of the terms that are listed here on the screen and so basically this report only has to do with all incidents of violence vandalism weapons substance abuse and Hib incidents that occur in school um the other thing to keep in mind when we're looking at the numbers is each student involved in a single incident is listed separately so let's say there's a fight three students are involved that it shows up as three for
003that fight so it's not three separate instance but it's three students who were suspended for fighting so all right so for this school year at JF K we had eight students who were in the system as fighting okay um were classified as having a fight good thing for us none of these other categories were were checked off throughout the course of the year um however I will say one of the things that I'm working on with Mrs brigh um at Eisenhower and then I'll also work with the new principal on at JFK is just making sure we're coding everything properly like when I go into the system in in in student information system I should be able to see all the information very clearly I feel like particularly um in the elementary school it's it's
004not always listed that way um so I want to I want to make sure I work with the principles and making sure that that happens um there's also another subsection here for weapons so we have possession uh sale distribution a weapon use um and there are all the examples of weapons there and then also substance abuse possession sale um suspect suspected subance abuse um so again good thing for us at the elementary school none of these categories were were checked off right would like to keep that up as long as we can um so they're all zeroed out at JFK then we come down to hi and I think you're all pretty familiar with Hib and we have alleged hibs and then confirmed hibs so at JFK we had one that was just allege and
005not found to actually be confirmed and then two that were confirmed for a total of three the course of the school year there's one other category here other incidents leading to removal and that is a student who is suspended for any other reason in our in our code of conduct so it's not necessarily one of these more severe offenses but just a student who's suspended from school so there were four incidents of that at the middle school same this is all the same information so I'll Skip by that um there were seven students who were categorized as being in a fight over the course of the school year and again remember that could could if two students were fighting each other that accounts for two of those things right away so I'd have to say
006that that number is is um you know we want it to be zero but it's pretty good for Middle School um in my experience none of the other categories have anything in them so that's a positive for the next one same thing uh had another a good year at Eisenhower um in school no weapon possession no weapon sale distribution weapon use um and substance all of our substance use categories are zero out as well for the year and then for hibs we had five alleged hibs at the at the middle school but zero were actually confirmed to be a violation of the law and then there were five incidents of students being uh suspended for any other reason in the code of conduct and that's it any questions nope no okay thank you all right
007so many right yeah okay um so uh first first part of my section has District goals I just wanted to mention that our district goals are quite a bit old so I'm meeting with some of the members of the administrative team actually next week to start to revise our goals and come up with new District goals so that we can set goals for the schools and so that the um teachers can then set their goals off of the school goals um we have our our three board goals there again this is something that we need to get updated so we'll be having conversations about that we also have strategic planning that's coming up in September so that really should guide a lot of this goal setting for us all right we're going to open the

009we had no uh bullying incidents uh over the month of July which is positive um under a for personnel um I'm asking that we approve two new um staff members one is teacher for our Pre-K disabled program which I was very happy to find someone for that classroom uh and then also a part-time instructional assistant uh we also have a number of stien positions that need approval that you can see listed out there below under number two uh letter F item one we are recommending approval for revised District calendar everything in in the calendar staying the same except our back to school nights got flip-flopped because there was a conflict so they're they're the same evenings but just um they're they're the opposite of what they were previously uh we also had to update our
010remote virtual learning plan uh because we're still receiving federal funds through uh September hopefully this is the last time we'll have to update that remote virtual learning plan because nothing really changes all that much U but I revised that and then we send it off to the county office um for them to keep in there in their folders I guess um curriculum and instruction we have two things uh under item number one we have procedures for Teacher evaluation and also our evidence document uh we had our D committee coming in earlier in the month it was a group of teachers um Mrs brigh um and Miss Sorry Miss Botley um ran it and DEA did a fantastic job um really bringing the teachers together it was a process that we had not done for a
011really long time uh and so those are the two items for approval there was it was a a very good collaboration between the administrators and the teachers uh also uh we have some items for disposal um that were um put forward by Miss Botley as well any questions Mr Golden yes Mr Davis yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Jones yes Mrs R yes Mrs Reed yes Mrs hmer yes Mrs Juliano yes and Mrs or yes okay I have a motion a second to approve business and finance sections items XA through XI motion second all right number one is actually the financial report for May 2024 it's revised we had a um a payment that's going out in June so it had to be listed as such on the treasures report in May and that wasn't done
012so we her and I met and we updated that so it's just may revised we'll have June and hopefully July at our August meeting um everyone reviewed the bills right I guess so the E is just the payment of the bills we have two different B numbers because we're still in two different years um that happens sometimes we haven't rolled into cycle 13 F is to approve the June 2024 um listing for source for teachers G is to approve the cafeteria dispersements for the month of June 2024 in the amount of $ 29,7 38 H is to approve the care dispersements for the month of June in the amount of 8,938 43 and then I is professional development um for some of our staff members um that's taking place over the summer to um prepare

014that is going out so um a little bit of a wash there but we'll have some more details um come September it's just a I mean it's a busy month but it's to slow as far as um things to really meet from the finance um committee perspective um school boards I haven't seen anything for school boards um other than the workshop is in October so I'll touch base with everybody in August to see if anybody plans on attending that um to see how many people I need to register for that ed services do they have anything Michelle no there's not a meeting for July Pine Hill pin hill had a virtual meeting early in the month I was not able to attend but I believe they were only approving hires okay um did not have
