006like announcements for the board meeting you know made a slight change to how many kind of reminders we sent out for that because it was a little overwhelming before it was like my phone was dinging my email was dinging um because you don't want to over communicate um you know because then people start tuning you out um so I've been really focusing other than you know outside of day-to-day stuff that I have to do in my position um when it comes to the communication piece we're trying to really hone on what we uh you know what's important and what's not um yeah so other than that going very well all right we have our um Safety and Security drills at both schools for the month of February um those were been have been recorded with
007no need for BS evacuation drills just yet we'll another one leave in the spring um to get our second requirement out of the way monthly reports uh should have been uploaded to the portal for your review you have any questions you can always reach out to Mr Lee or um the individuals who submitted the the report any questions uh 10f is a uh incident report for harassment intimidation and bullying um there was one report for each School neither one of them were um confirmed to be Hib um so then G is just to um we need a motion a second to approve the hi report from last month um having no appeals to date we need to affirm the superintendent's decisions can I please have a motion a second second any questions would I also

013season so that wasn't that wasn't getting done tonight I just have to finish General we're good to go so defin will be for April um so the first item is to approve the bills that everybody had the opportunity to sign those and review them so we're good to go um any questions on those all right B is to approve the February 2024 listing for source for teachers um as you'll see down at the bottom there's a substitute teacher effective 227 we have a substitute teacher above um once minimum wage requirements went into play the power professionals and the teachers were making the same rate so we boost it up the teachers a little bit to have that little bit of um difference there between them our sourcer teachers rep still thinks that that is competitive
014based on what other surrounding districts are making so we'll reevaluate again for next year C is to approve the cafeteria dispersements for the month of February 2024 in the amount of $ 32,1 n36 um these are always the payments to neutr serve D is to approve the care dispersements for the month of February 2024 in amount of $365 185 E is to approve the following travel and professional development for staff members we have Dina Botley zero cost of the district um for a conference at um New Jersey PSA and then Mrs brigh 380 this is a fall conference also for the principal and supervisors Association October 16th to the 18th um f is to approve the general education tuition contract between Berlin Township School District and Pine Hill School District this is for next year
015for the period of September 1 2024 through June 30th 2025 the amount is 3,578 888 that's 184 students um plus $100,000 prior year tuition adjustment G is to approve the 2425 special education tuition contract between burlin Township and pill also for the period of September 1 2024 through June 30th 2025 in the amount of $312 Services instructional coach shared services agreement between PE Berlin and pin hill in the past this was between Berlin pin hill and Clementon Clementon is hiring their own so we'll have that Master teacher here two days a week Pine will'll have them three days a week um the teacher is elated that she'll be here a little more and and maybe not split between three districts so um this is a good move when we have to continue to grow that
016program um I is to approve the approve to adopt the tenative budget for 2425 um all the items are listed our general fund expenditures match the revenues and our taxes to be raised are 2% cap there um so this will just go to the county office for her review and then we'll be hopefully ready to go for our um public Hearing in April Jay is to approve the preschool budget for the 2425 school year this was also uploaded to the board portal there might be some changes to this we have some carryover funds that are in the budget and I just reached out to um my state contact for preschool expansion and she came up with some really great ideas for how to use that so the money will not change just the the appropriation
017of some of those funds um there'll be onetime use funds with those carryover funds so I think we have some pretty exciting things that that could be coming our way um with those onetime funds and then we just need to approve the monthly transfer report um we have a request for approval of transfers to transfer $20,000 from um 111 19100 320 to 110 23331 to cover additional legal service costs um as required this is email to the county office for review and approval as well does anyone have any questions on my exciting yes so F you're saying that that's 3,578 plus $100,000 or is that in that that's in that the $100,000 adjustment is already in there that's correct y y no sorry that's already that's inclusive of that any other questions one more is

019we're having a meeting on Monday um she can't couldn't due tonight so she'll be at our April meeting so we'll have all the interview questions and everything else like that um that'll be done in public session and I just have one so I don't know if more will come in um at least we have what was the the cut off for it to for people to submit for it because I'm just thinking if that has already passed maybe we consider since we couldn't do it this month just bumping it out you know two three weeks whatever it is maybe we get some more candidates I remember I'll double check that advertisement tomorrow um I don't even know if there was a closing date I feel like it was like today because of the meeting yeah
020I feel like it was but I'll look it up perfect um so I guess that would kind of be old business committee updates uh negotiations btaa I gave um Scott in your pile there is a contract that has been fully executed by the tea so just scottt myself have to sign and then they'll get their original copy and we'll keep one yeah great it's all done um so great work to the negotiations committee who sat in on that it is a labor of love for sure um and then yeah btps that's our principal and supervisors Association we did have one meeting and we will be meeting again on Tuesday um the 26th to um further those negotiation talks finan committee I did not have a finance committee meeting um Rebecca wasn't here this evening and
021I was actually hoping to push it off anyway because with budget time um so it all worked out well school boards Association I don't think there is anything I've seen for school boards and services anything Michelle um they approved the budget they swore the new board of director members and clemon board ofed decided not to use their facilities for the administration in clemon they want the offices to be a prop property of the school [Music] district um K can help yes um pretty much normal board meeting um we did have a few things in the beginning they went over the ssds results um not sure what that stands for but safety data system I knew M would knew that all the safety um things the fights the hibs the weapons the all that stuff we
022went over it for all four schools it looks like it has improved from last year um which is good uh we approved the revised calendar graduation date for Overbrook will be Friday June 14th 2024 but that is not their last day of school like it normally do so I believe Monday is our last day ofo yeah they yeah um we also had the musical perform for us which was pretty cool they came in and sang um the musical is this week Thursday Friday Saturday 7 PM if you want to go support um it's Dan Yankees is the musical they're doing and they found it great so even in the little in the library that we were in so um they were doing their their sound I think last week when we were there um we
023also recognized the boys bowling team the boys basketball team the girls basketball team for an outstanding season um they did have a lot of um good things happen in the Sports World I'll just give you a few things here um boys basketball made it to the second round of the njsa tournament girls basketball won first place in their bracket the TCC tournament the girls also qualified for the first round of the njsiaa tournament um boys bowling finished third at the TCC tournament bo boys bowling was the South Jersey group two sectional Champs um boys bowling finished second at the njsi AA State group two tournament um three of the boys bowling um three of the boys bowling team members all qualified for individual boys bowling state tournament um and this was the first time that
024had happened uh girls bowling finished second at the TCC tournament boys wrestling had two wrestlers advaned to the region tournament um girls wrestling had four girls participate in the region tournament and two winter track athletes qualified for the state meet um that pretty much that was winner spring sports are underway I know I know for fact baseball tryouts started this past week um so I assume the rest of the programs are also start um we also approved the budget to be set to the county um and I believe that's it um Can Count school boards Association I know they just had eth grade dialogue last night I believe Lisa Brian I me what last I know it's Monday I feel like it's later in the week I feel like it's later in the week sorry
025last Thursday the 14th um was the eighth grade dialogue um that I believe Brian Lisa Mr Lee Mrs brigh and our um candidate Zachary mislinski um with his family was there as well and he did a great job oh he did he did such a good job did all 25 students yeah so um but other than that I don't think there's anything much from count School boards other than another eth grade dialogue has been wrapped up at this point we'll do another motion so there's one thing I want to bring up here think be le the new business we should probably plan to set a time either in June or July to set up new district and uh board goals because we haven't done that in a while uh particularly with the new superintendent I
026think it would be a really good idea to get that done um so I know I don't want to put anyone on the spot to pick a specific date right now uh but I guess for our next meeting figure out what your availability is going to be and decide whether we think we want to bring in like Terry or someone else from school boards to help guide it or if you think we can do it on our own uh either way just something to put in the back of your mind for next time we have to have a meeting for that we just do it at next meeting I'm glad you brought this up because I actually spoke with Mr Lee about this we just did this for Pine Hill in January and that's why
027we did our Retreat it was about three hours long but what we did was after all of us had filled out the board um evaluation we went through it and decided by those responses what was the most important thing to us to to make better and we narrowed it down to three different things and I actually have to get the slides and I mean I had suggested that we do something similar maybe not on a Saturday morning because I know everybody's Saturdays get a little busy and but um even in the evening or something I think that would be really good for our board to get together and be able to accomplish evaluation have you [Music] done I haven't I usually done anytime or is that just the CSA huh can the board evaluation be
