005but but things things are going well teachers are taking care of business the kids are obviously getting very excited teachers are getting very excited at the uh looking forward on the calendar but I think you'd be pleased if you walk in the halls and see see the teachers teaching and the kids learning things are dou all right so um Safety and Security drills took place for both of our schools uh no need for a bus evacuation they're just done twice a year monthly reports they were uploaded for your review as Dr Petrelli said we do not have any um hi reports for this month but we do have to affirm um the the superintendent decisions associated with the harassment intimidation bully from last month that was case number 10528 can I have a motion in

015here to set up those meetings he doesn't want to do any of that uh finance committee we skipped tonight um we had one that was unavailable um you might have been unavailable so we just said it's December let's take a break um school boards associ I haven't seen anything come over through them and services um so they are giving some of the clemon administration some of their office space and in Clon um and they're in the early stages of partnering with Ruckers for CTE education and mental health education for high school students and they would work with school districts and that would begin in 2025 if they receive a grant so it is a grant and someone asked why they weren't partnering with candy County College and they said it's due to the grant Ruckers
016reached out to them okay um help okay um we had the German the new German teacher came and did um uh presentation on the German exchange program that he wants to cool yeah they he had six or seven students with him that were interested in it how it's going to work is they would um let me see if I got this right this really I was there so fix any of these issues um so the German exchange students would come in October and our students would go for two weeks in August a and um the fee is partially going to be done by fundraising some by families um of the students and then some is a grant from the organization that the teacher works with um anything else you want to add to that they
017they can stay in people's houses yeah that's the best opportunity because they'll go to Germany for two weeks and they'll stay with the host family so they'll yeah they'll eat their you know their meals and they'll go and see you know the sites in the areas and then they'll do kind of the same thing when they come here they'll say whose family's houses two weeks are for a longer period two weeks as it's two weeks for each except our houses will have a lot more because there's a lot more students from Germany that'll come okay so at least that's what they said so but he had done it in his former District which was mine one so um he's been doing it before and he had showed us pictures and he was hoping at the
018next um meeting J the next meeting he's at to give us some more information on it I wasch yes he's he's very passionate about he was very passionate when he presentation it was very informative and all and the board was very much on board with it a great experience um second thing was Mr Lee's resignation and he spoke to the board and um let all of us know that he's grateful to be working there for the last 16 years um next thing was we updated um some policies that needed to be updated and um approved second reading of a bunch first reading of one believe um we approved the over course guide for next year and um our reor meeting is January 2nd at 5:30 and we're doing a board retreat on Saturday morning through
01927th of January at 9:00 a.m. all right um and Camy County School boards I haven't heard anything them either so you backing off of Kim saying having their ree on the second um we also need to schedule ours it will not be obviously before Pine Hill so we're doing our board meeting this second too so they're going to do three work straight into the board okay so so um does Thursday January 4th work for everybody since we generally do Thursdays um go with January 4th we'll establish you know president vice president committees um the U meeting calendar all that stuff that re work so if January 4th works good I'll tell that to Jody we'll go ahead and get an advertisement in the paper and and draft our agenda prior to winter break okay good
