006really feels like they've been in school for six months everything is is moving along um I do want to highlight just from my observations the job that the custodial crew has been doing and and the cafeteria workers uh we often don't get to sing their praises but but things are moving really smoothly the buildings look good the hallways are clean uh so so that that really makes it for a welcoming environment so I just wanted to give them a bit of a shout out uh this this crazy month when they're dealing with different schedules um and such and and of course also our our bus drivers and maybe the whole Transportation oh thank you they keep it going that's for sure I just I just coordinate and they run it on to secur safy drills
007so we did have um our scheduled fire drills and safety drills the notifications were sent out that these took place um Mr fluger log them in his log book so the fire drill for J took place on October 25th at 10:05 um um I was there no I was there for the evacuation drill on 10:17 and 9:30 um for Eisenhower they had a fire drill on October 17th at 1020 and then they had their lock down drill on the 20th at 1:30 um bus evacuation drills were done for now um we don't have to do those until the spring we'll do another one in the spring um all the monthly reports I believe were uploaded on the portal uh F is for the uh Hib incident report at JFK there was one report and one

013Golden yes 13 we're going to do 13 a through M can I have a motion and a second to approve items 13 a through m and then I'll go ahead and explain each one all right the first one is AD D this is our October Financial reports um no line has been overextended in violation of administrative code 6A 2310 um sufficient funds are available to meet the district's Financial Obligations for the remainder of the year the treasurer and secretary's reports are in agreement for the month of October there's no changes in anticipated Revenue amounts or sources that's A3 de is payment of the bills the finance committee was in earlier and they reviewed every single Bill signed off check the bills list um so we need to recommend the payment for payment of bills f
014is to approve the October 23 listing for source for teachers the rates are listed below we will have new rates next month for our power Professionals in order to meet the minimum wage requirement that's going to change in January so um you will see some changes there G is to approve the cap disperses for the month of October in the amount of $1,976 49 that's just the annual bills to neutal serve um who we contract with h is to approve the 23 24 care dispersements for the month of October 2023 in the amount of 8,928 51 that is for care salaries that reimburse to the general fund um health benefits that are reimburse biker reimbursements um snacks all that good stuff um I is to approve travel and professional development for the staff members as
015listed below these are all covered in Grant funds um so that's nice all through title too um and then Board of um following out of District contracts for the 2324 school year this is orer friend school it's a grade eight student tuition charge of $43,200 an administration technology administration fee of 400 and 1018 of 34,000 um this is not a bu budgeted placement so we'll be looking closely at the budget just to make sure that we have sufficient funds as we carry further through the year K is to approve the contract between the burlin Township Board of Education and nor Realties um Healthcare they're going to do neurological evaluations we have a couple doctors that do this already this is just another um resource that the child stud team can utilize in the event that
016we need to schedule one of those um $700 $750 per evaluation L is to approve the resolution authorizing the Berlin Township School District to enter into a Cooperative pricing agreement with the educational Cooperative pricing system through the Educational Services Commission of Morris County we have a lot of um electrical work on there and we have a few things that we have to have done so Chu did some research um and it's beneficial to um pass this author this resolution in order to join their Co-op um and then we're approving the academic service agreement for a student with learnwell um and in Township School District at the rate of $55 an hour this is a student that's in a in a placement that needs some this is for the academic piece of that um that we're

018some some feedback from them I'd like be able to put it on your agenda for December is what I wait to see what they what they say about the word just trying to get every we c a coup of typos everything was to in MOA putting in new salary guides things of that nature so hope again we get you that agreement to be approved next month and then the um principal supervisor Association that contract currently expires June go so we'll kind of look to engage in um with our finance um negotiations committee to engage in those negotiations January or February we'll start to reach out for some dates um so start that uh finance committee we review the budget report revenue report everything has been coming in on time as far as state a uh
019tax levies um I did tell them just like I said to you tonight we are watching our special ed cost um with a couple placements one tonight that we approved there's one possibly that were may also come up so we're kind of just keeping an eye on that and we'll keep everybody posted on that um the high intensity tutoring grant that we had applied for we were not awarded that but we kind of thought we wouldn't because we're receiving um additional funds through title one for the school in need of schools in need of improvement um so we kind of thought that was a shot in the dark but it didn't hard to tr so we did not receive we weren't awarded that Grant um did the Bills list review I let them know that
020the annual Transportation report the Dr TRS the midyear efficiency review documents and the preschool operational Plan update were all due on 11:15 and they were all submitted on time documents for our June 30th our 2223 audit were all uploaded to the Auditors to start their review they'll be in District in the coming weeks to start their testing and then Assa which um is for our state aid that we receive is due on 121 so sometime in December I'll be able to take a deep breath and get some sleeping season it is recording season and like I said to you they don't realize when you work in a small district and they have all these due dates on the same date it's usually one person does them all um but whatever it's fine it's busy keeps
021me out of trouble um um so we are going to have we do have um school boards I haven't seen anything for school boards come through Dr pet you haven't seen anything on the radar interest um Ed Services Commission anything Michelle no but I did have a question about something um I know that we had brought back a lot of students last year we have the autism program here I was wondering how that's going is it showing to be successful or justes look like we in next year might have to send students out to meet their needs we're not sure we're hoping to we they keep tweaking it that's a that's a population that it's hard to get a consistent read or a consistent path because everybody's a little bit different um so we're hoping
022that even if we have to send anybody out because it's it's not working for that specific student it doesn't mean the program's not working it just means it's not working for that specific student's needs um that maybe because it's been it will been two years um in operation at that point maybe we can bring in a tuition student or too to maybe offset any cost that we'd have to send someone out so it's going well but obviously it presents a lot of challenges to have that population restrictive environment but it's it's good and I mean all the kids um in this student population enjoy having them and they're all so incredibly inclusive of of everybody and um they have an Adaptive P that they do with a lot of our special needs kids and they

024I will look it up um it starts it starts today tomorrow and Saturday um the winter sports are also getting ready to start I think I know wrestling for instance my son wrestles so he's starting on Monday but then basketball be starting off soon basketball starts tu that oh they try Okay um I know some of the teams try out some of them go depending on how many people are going out for it so um we went over the superintendent goals for next year or yeah next year um and that was I'll find that yeah um and then school board for Cy County I haven't seen anything com through that for um motion a to for this mission the um contract for County Office approval we're going to hold off on that right now because
