006in the Radisson Valley Science and Technology showcase how to bring to our Commons it's two days Saturday 11 to 5 and Sunday 12-4 and it's a priest if you want to join bring your family to have food and drink it would be a great time uh also next week we have the week of respect for all of our schools will participate in activities that focus on catholication and child bullying and inclusivity and then on October 7th we'll have our football game please come out to support them we may have a special presentation by our band I think that is it well one last thing when we're in our second full week of school I want to give a shout out to all our administrators essential office our teachers I've done an outstanding job in the

015for Smalling I can't wait I'm gonna start saving them now okay uh we are up to other matters to come before the board or a new business well I am stop looking at me like that with great concern Ed with the coming of the new school year I'm back in the classroom I've been out of the classroom for eight years as a theater teacher now I'm back in a fifth grade classroom with a new principal new curriculum every single new program from Soup To Nuts and I I just I want to make sure I do my job job the right way and after 13 years I had already decided that once I put a new superintendent in which I was a part of and we got the right guy and I wanted to get through
016the teacher contract and we are almost done that it's pretty much so we did the two things I wanted to get done so like this will be my last meeting yeah well so on behalf of the members of the board the community Michelle thank you so much for all of your service you know it's been uh really helpful for me personally to have you on award um to learn from to really grow in serving the community and everything else um and I don't think it could be underscore the contributions that we've made over a decade plus so it's been a long it's been a long road thank you foreign so um over the summer we had a lot of teachers that had resigned or or for whatever reason um moved on um so we had
017asked a couple times um to get an understanding of why the resignations were taking place just to get an understanding for the reasons and we were always told um it's coming it's coming and here we are now in the second week of the school year and wanted to know is do we um is this going to be the Game of Thrones so the reasons are coming excellent thank you thank you so much my two cents I just went with the second week of school having two children in the district to thank the administrative team who also had a special services for the incredible job everyone's been doing um my kids are loving the year so I want to thank you guys I know I mean without you welcome enough in place so we really appreciate
018everything you've done and continue to do for all the children so thank you [Applause] yeah I want to I want to second that as well okay um I believe we are now open to the public for any items you have one comment online just so you know very good person do I get to do Vanna White do I get to read it please yes absolutely it's from Colleen Rick um do I need to read the address Mike yes uh 633 Crescent Drive um comment uh what is being done to hire more aids for this special education students that have one-to-one Aids on their IEP but no dedicated Aid in the room since school has begun question mark I contacted Miss trilise and Mr DeMarco and they responded that they are in quotes doing their best
019to meet the needs of the students who require an aid end quote I understand they are able to pull people into the room to help in the meantime but that is not consistent for our children who need a routine and familiarity as well as their the aid to know about our children's specific needs thank you for your time okay as you see on agenda we just Contracting the Delta team we're having difficulty getting paid we're working with the Education Service Commission they just didn't have the cool events to give us a dislocated so we contracted with delta T who is in the process of getting aids for us I think at this point we've gotten two additional AIDS and we're looking uh to get more in the very near future great thank you and the
020only thing that I would suggest in a follow-up to to the question um this is really geared more not for the people in the room but for our board members in general for the folks tuning in at home um we do have a new administrative team and some new leadership and I think the question that you should probably ask before you come to a board meeting for a specific grievance or question is really have I brought this to the attention of our school's Chief administrator and if that really hasn't been the case or you haven't brought it to the principal school if it's a school related issue I really encourage you to Avail yourselves of that opportunity um I you know we sit up here and we're loading our administrators for the outstanding job that
021they're doing I would just ask the community and the public really give them an opportunity to solve your issue because in all likelihood what we're going to do is perceive and understand your comments but likely refer to the administration for action so you're best bet at a quick solution is really to Target those people first and really overuse coming to a board meeting for one of those issues as a last resort and with that I believe we are ready to adjourn for executive session I think ocean sure may I have a motion motion thank you Mrs DeFazio a second thank you Mr Dawson all in favor aye aye you're unmuted all right uh we are reconvening an open session we actually do not have anything to move in section 16 so at this point we
