001Okay, good. Okay, tell me when, right? Ready? All right, good evening everyone. We are pleased to begin our preschool lottery for the 2026-2027 school year. I'd like to thank the following people for their support and hard work. Dr. Thomas Farrell, Dr. Elise Anderson, Mr. Walter Husenko, Mrs. Jacqueline Jannick, Ms. Barry Osborne, the secretarial staff, the technology department, and anyone who helped prepare and plan the preschool lottery. Thank you. I'm excited to announce that we recently received our formal approval for a pre-K for pre-K expansion from the NJDOE. We've been hoping for this for the last 2 years and this allows us to open an additional 90 seats. Therefore, tonight we will be pulling an additional 90 spots for the next year's pre-K. Before we begin, I would like to review some information and procedures. There
002are 497 applications for the lottery. We will have 3-year-olds returning to the program, which will leave 360 slots for the 2026-2027 school year. Tonight, the first 360 numbers pulled will be placed into our program. Parents will not have a choice regarding location. Students will be assigned to specific locations and parents will be notified at a later date. Each child was assigned a personal lottery number and all numbers will be pulled tonight. After the first 360 numbers, we will begin our waiting list. Students on the waiting list are compiled in the order in which their number was pulled. When a spot becomes available, the student's parent or guardian will be called in order in which they were pulled. If you are given a spot from the wait list and choose not to take the spot, the
003student will be removed from the wait list. We will begin by picking 10 numbers at a time. If two numbers are accidentally pulled at the same time, both numbers will be placed back into the bin. Each number pulled will be announced twice, shown to the camera, and then recorded. Letters of acceptance with the next steps about registration will be emailed out the week of April 20th. Letters with waitlist numbers will be mailed out that week, also. The letter will have specific instructions and timelines that must be adhered to. If you do not follow the instructions and registration process, your child's spot will be forfeited and given to a student on the waiting list. We are now ready to begin the lottery. Thank you. >> Mr. Hursenko, you are up. >> Number 597. 597. Number 179.
