>> If maybe we could get a motion to approve the uh minutes of the June 2025 meeting. >> Motion. >> Second. Mrs. Baldina, >> yes. >> Mr. Becker, >> yes. >> Mrs. Huck, >> yes. >> Mrs. Reed, >> abain. >> Mr. Vitali, >> yes. >> Mr. Wal, >> yes. >> Motion pass. >> Thank you. There are no presentations today. >> No. >> Okay. Uh, visitors business. Visitors are permitted to comment on agenda items only at this time. We just ask that you state your name and address or none, not even from the press. Okay, we do have an awesome correspondence though. >> We received a thank you. The board received a thank you. Dear Belle Board of Education, thanks so much for choosing me for the reward of the highest achievement in history. I was
shocked yet excited to hear my name today. History is my fave subject. Have a great summer. Ryder Belman. >> Awesome. Ryder's a great guy to >> to graduate. He'll do very well in high school. >> No doubt. Right. >> Uh that being brings us to committee reports. Uh district operations. Mr. Vitali. >> Sure. Um we we now on the 15th I don't know kind of hour or so um we since the fiscal year's passed we had a pretty good sense as to what the budget report was going to tell us you know not withstanding the fact that it's not yet ordered in there could be some revisions to it and there also could be some revisions because so many purchase come in but um We are we are looking pretty healthy right right right right
right right right right right right right right right right right right now and have the have the potential to add a little bit of money to the capital reserve um in the you know keeping keeping keeping keeping our focus on the on the roof replacement that that's probably going to happen over the next three three and a half years and so so that was actually um positive positive positive results We had a little bit of a one of the classrooms as you know as as a result of to over the past couple of weeks. um turns turned up turns turns out some water seep through one of the event one of the vents into one of the classrooms back up against the courtyard and we'll try to remediate that see see what needs to happening.
Um um in preventing this kind of thing from from you know from happening uh happening in the future future I don't I don't I don't believe there's any damage though >> no >> and I'm sure it's too soon to have an update by my possible cures. I know we talked a little bit about drainage and I'm not sure what might be if we've had the opportunity to come to some kind of conclusion. >> I have a 10:30 phone call tomorrow with our architect. >> Okay. Okay. Um that's that's um that that's That's about it. It's pretty quick. That's about it. >> Any questions? >> All right. Thank you, Ted. Uh, next is representative the Manis Swan, Dr. Drosio. He is not here and I did not get any report from him. Uh, likewise, Mrs. Walsh.
uh >> she is not here. Do you have any >> We did not meet uh but we do plan to meet in August before our August meeting. >> Yeah. And likewise, human resources has one or two subjects on the on the calendar for August as well, but we did not meet. Uh Mr. Waltman policy. >> Sure. Uh yes, we met on uh July 10th and um there are 12 new policies I should say there are 12 policies being pushed forward for first reading. A number of these we had uh previously passed as a board, but some of them do have options that uh these are additional policies that Mrs. Folra uh found that we had passed or had reviewed previously that were not in board docs um under the uh past couple of years. Some
of these were passed and then never actually u put into our our binder or put into our our official documents. So um these are these are 12 uh historical policies that we're moving forward. We also have a number of uh policies up for second reading. And uh Miss Coulter, I think we have like maybe one more trunch of of policies. >> Yeah. So we did uh 1,000 to 3,000 in June. This meeting we're doing 4,000 to 6,000 and we got 7,000 to 9,000 coming in August and they're just ones whose dates were a little bit off. Um or as Sean said, you know, we're not in the place where they should be. Um, so we just did a very thorough review of the policies coming into the summer and this will ensure that everything is
compliant with the dates um that are required. So we should be in good shape. >> Thank you. Yeah, we um there is a stress estimate update pending. We don't know if that'll happen before the uh August meeting or if it will be to September. Um and and that's it. >> Thank you, Mr. Walton. I do want to point out that uh both Mr. Well, and and Miss Bigde Debit in conjunction with Stacy did some work to get those policies done and through. So, >> you know, >> thank you. Uh, community relations. >> Um, I will have a report at our next meeting. Community relations things are a little quiet right now. >> Thank you. Any questions or concerns? >> Okay. Administrative report. >> Sure. So um we are very busy in the month of July
um getting ready for September. Uh we are working on scheduling and actually putting students into classes and especially at the middle school level trying to arrange which classes meet when. There are pros and cons to being a small place. Um you know it's it becomes a little difficult sometimes with scheduling because there's only one place for a certain class. It doesn't give you a lot of flexibility. Um but we are working through it and I think things are coming together very nicely. Mrs. Kennedy has really been instrumental in assisting with that. Um you know we are receiving our new instructional resources. Most of our new math program is already here for K5. um the teachers have been coming by to pick up their teachers additions and so they could start to familiarize yourselves and I
think that really just you know reflects again the professionalism of that staff that they're coming in on their own time over the summer to pick up materials and to start to dig in which is really great. Um along with a whole lot of other materials and you see the building is out and being cleaned. Um technology is getting ready. Mr. Greenfield has a lot of projects going to make sure we're ready for September. Uh we also have our students here for ESY. Um that seems to also be going very well. Um you know got great attendance for the students who are committed to coming and again I thank the teachers for their work uh with our students. It's been great to have wreck in the building as well. Um you know it's nice to still
see our kids around in the summer. Um and that program even though it's not our program you know we appreciate um you know REC running such a great program for our students in the summer. We also have art and STEM and music enrichment happening. Good number of students enrolled in those. Um so some things are still even though it's a lot quieter here in the summer, there's still some great opportunities for our kids and I really thank our staff uh for making those available. >> Those enrichments are going really well. They're awesome. Yeah, they're really nice. >> It's uh yeah, it's I you know uh Mrs. Petraelli and Mrs. Creed and Miss Rosen came to me and we've been doing music, you know, for a while. Um, and as you guys know, Miss Petraelli is
is newer and she and Miss Creek kind of teamed up together and presented a proposal. Um, and so yeah, it's I think it's been wellreceived. I think it's the type of program that word gets out, it will probably continue to grow. So, >> it's good to see that enrollment. Uh, >> could you remind us of the math program's name again? >> Sure. The math program for K5 is called into math. It's put together by HMH. >> Awesome. Awesome. I know that my family benefits particularly from ESY. So, >> yeah. >> And also, we do have, you know, we do have the um we will have a full day training on August 28th for all the K5 teachers on that math program that is already set up and in place. >> Yeah. And it pars well
with our previous program, too. >> Yeah, I think so. So, I mean, you know, we really, like I said, we probably looked at five or six different programs. Um, and you know, we're very close between two. Um, and there were there's elements of Go Math that our teachers think is still very valuable. So, they were looking for still those elements, but again, with pieces that go math did not have. So, um I think the teachers really felt that this is um something that they would be comfortable using because it's not so far out of the box, but it also brings in certain pieces especially around differentiation, small groupoup instruction um and really tailoring individual learning that um should help them work more efficiently and more effectively with especially with small groups and to fill in
skill gaps as soon as they notice them. So, I think that's what they're most excited about. Any other questions? Okay. There are no HID reports. Uh, every once in a while throughout the school year during these meetings, we kind of get opportunities to uh pass uh the next portion of the agenda, the action items in one swoop. So, I'm wondering if I could ask Mr. Vitali to pass A1 through D9 unless there's any objections or questions. >> The only thing I apologize I should have notified all of you. One thing the um you can see Mrs. Healey is on here to be approved for that registration is pricey, right? We usually don't have registrations that are that high. But what that qualifies her to do is to be a trainer for our staff so that
we don't have to send more individual staff members. And I believe this certifies her for multiple years. So that's why this cost is high because now this is like a train the trainer uh professional development which over the long run will be cost effective for us. So I just I meant to point that out to you. Um so that I think is something uh that again benefits us but I just wanted to explain that cost because we usually don't go that high on PD. >> Thank you for that. >> It's worth it. >> Yeah, there's a great person too to be a trainer. >> Yes. >> All right. So Mr. Vitali, is that possible? We'll give it the old college try to pass um like to pass action items from a curriculum programs through human
resources. I'll second. >> Okay. Mrs. Baldina, >> yes. >> Mr. Becker, >> yes. >> Mrs. Hut, >> yes. >> Mrs. B, >> yes. >> Mr. Vitali, >> yes. >> Mr. W. >> Yes. >> Motion pass. >> Awesome. Thank you everyone. I appreciate that accommodation. Um, next is visitors business. Visitors are permitted to comment on agenda and non-aggenda items at this time. We just ask that you state your name and address. >> You having a good summer? [Laughter] >> We appreciate you being here. Uh, I am going to beg one more out of you, Mr. Vitality, which is the OSO important payment of the bills. Please >> sir like to make a motion board authorizes payment for the following June 2025 bills listed and July 2025 bills listed and that the secretary is authorized amount of
$18,77130 June 30 2025 and uh $242,865 5 94 says July of 2025 >> second >> Mrs. Baldina >> yes >> Mr. Becker >> yes >> Mrs. Huck >> yes >> Mrs. B >> yes >> Mr. Bav >> Mr. Yes. >> Okay. >> I think not a lot's going on in the summer, but we do manage to get some videos. >> Yeah. And I know like we didn't do this meeting last year, you know, but in some ways it allows us to space out, you know, so I appreciate I know it's, you know, everybody's, you know, in a different mode in the summer, but it's nice to not have everything waiting for July so close to when school starts. So, thank you for >> It's nice to have meetings like this. >> Yeah. I agree. >>
And we're here. >> Yeah, >> I agree. >> All right. Uh there is the normal board secretary certification from our OSO awesome school VA. Uh and there is no executive session this evening which uh brings us to a motion for adjournment. Anyone >> second? >> Mr. >> All right. Yeah, I'll take that. >> All in favor, >> K and K. >> I thank you very much. Good evening. >> Thank you for that. Welcome to
