006Kurt Dave on winning and being reelected and that is a testament of all the hard work that they do on this board and so congratulations to the two of you I look forward to working with each of you again and welcome and congratulations to since um we look forward to all of the contributions your background in education [Applause] and very quickly I just want to say I see um Kelly just walked in Kelly baldino and I just want to say that we we're so fortunate to live in a community that prioritize his educations and um in this past election on you just could not go wrong with whoever you voted for and how fortunate we are that we had candidates like Kelly baldino and Jennifer art Kristen Walsh and of course you know of the
007accountants but I just wanted to be that you know how fortunate we are that um our community really cares about what happens here and uh so I would like to thank my fellow board members for electing me as the president of the Brio Board of Education I have learned that this role carries a huge responsibility and I am humbled that my fellow board members are entrusting me in this position when when the new year begins we tend to have an idea or expectation of how it will pan out sometimes there have been a few years while serving on this board that the year consisted of managing and maintaining the successful systems already in place however last year was not one of those years we were faced with some unexpected but not unprecedented like the pandemic
008the pandemic the pandemic was certainly but we were faced with circumstances that required us to take a step back assess the situation plan and then carry them one of those for example being the retirement of Chris Carlson after 15 years ago and then the challenge of finding an intern which we decided to do which I believe we did it successfully in hiring Mr to this year our board has agreed to focus on two goals the first one is hiring a permanent superintendent principal and the second one is to restructure the central office as a board we want to make sure that our administrators and our central office staff are equipped to function in the most efficient manner that goal will be primarily led by our interim superintendent Mr the children of Creole are under our
009care and we are charged with the duty to ensure that they receive the best education possible I am fortunate that I sit amongst individuals who I know are committed holds it high regards and have a lot of respect for it to provide our students with a well-rounded education that is designed to impact all of our learners as our mission statement of service we the members of the Brielle School Community are dedicated to developing the unique abilities of each child inspiring the achievement of personal excellence I thank you and I'm ready to take off the challenges this year or any chorus doctors so we are going to move on to reorganization agenda items one protocol vote is sufficient for the set of organization agenda items unless the board member request and individual roll call vote on
