003you keep your grades up and work hard you can earn credits there are many different careers in healthcare so even if you're not sure if you want to go in healthcare or not this course helps prepare you for college this class is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be as long as you study do your work and stay organized you'll be your succeed I really like the pre-engineering program because it gives a really good view into how many different career options there are in engineering and a great introduction to CAD modeling and 3D drawing and what it means to be an engineer uh this class gives certifications into the Rochester Institute of Technology and it gives college credits toward that and most of those credits transfer into other universities you might want
004to pursue it's not an easy course you have to be really willing to work and focus and but it's a really great opportunity to take if you choose to pursue the carpentry and Property Management program is a great way to learn your trade with a Hands-On learning experience the program offers a variety of skills you get to go from you could get a job in construction or you could major in interior design and learn with that when you finish the program you will receive a nocty certification an OSHA 10 certification and even a forklift certification the advice I would give is even if you're not willing to pursue a career in construction it is always a great trade to know I chose Tech because when you graduate regardless of what CTE you take you have
005options to do whatever you want you can get a job right out of high school you can go to college and further your career but you have prereqs and everything um what I like most about the communication arts program is all the opportunities and resources and equipment that we're given access to the communication arts program offers many opportunities like um they give you access to a full editing suite and a large studio where we Record News and all different kinds of cameras and equipment that you're going to use when you enter the filmmaking field when you finish the communication arts program you're going to receive a certification in Premiere Pro which is the editing software that most companies use and it'll basically get you in an editing job easy people should know that the communication
006Arts offers a whole bunch of different opportunities to make your own films and to be creative and express yourself and we get to do skillsusa and we make a Halloween movie that's sometimes shown in the theater um if you're interested in the communications class I would tell you that if you enter the filmmaking field you're gonna have to be creative but uh be yourself and express yourself through film and don't take off others ideas use your own students can choose pre-engineering computer technology entertainment production and graphic arts law and Public Safety is a popular choice and seniors there have the opportunity to graduate with college credits and a Class 1 officer's license Allied medical offers a carefully sequenced composite of college-level coursework maximizing the availability of college credits for students on a tuition-free basis specialized
007areas of study include health care and Society anatomy and physiology medical terminology emergency and clinical care and nutrition [Music] choosing a high school career path all begins freshman year with the unique exploratory career studies class during the course of their first year every student moves through and learns about each one of the career classes offered at Tech then at the end of freshman year students make their choice this and all CTE programs are given in double length periods this occurs in addition to the required academic classes that meet with New Jersey curriculum standards at Cape Tech not only must students complete the same course requirements and testing as any other public high school in New Jersey but they also meet the requirements of a career and tactical education three-year program all in the same length
