meeting order. >> Trusty friend here. >> Trusty Ross here. Trusty Castillo >> here. >> And Peter Scheler and Dan Hu are absently seated. >> Okay. 1.2 approval of agenda. >> Make a motion through all. >> Any further discussion? >> Trusty friend and trusty Ross. >> I trusty Christie. >> Hi. >> Motion passes 30. 1.3 public comment. There's no one here. So, no public comments. And with that, we'll go close session >> of a minute. That's great. >> Eddie's here. Open the pledge of allegiance. >> Begin to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. [laughter] >> Correct. That is impossible. I can't >> I get the heat before we even [laughter] >> Okay. Uh 3.2 uh

you close session. Um the board voted 40 in favor of accepting the first model 4.1 correspondence. >> So we received a letter from the office of public school construction. As you guys know, we made a contract with King and Associates to look at our eligibility for Prop 2 funding. They have filed our eligibility. So, that's the first step. It doesn't doesn't promise us anything. It doesn't promise that we're going to do a project. Doesn't mean that the state is allocated with money, but the first step is to say we are interested and eligible in the fall. I'm going to go over the two options. Mary and I spent about an hour and a half on the phone looking at the two uh buckets of eligibility that we have and the pros and cons which is

utilization of those and the timeline ability uh with utilizing state money. This is all pertaining to for anyone listening uh the possibility of replacing our over 30 close to 40 year old affordable down below. >> More to come in the fall and we'll look at those next steps. Okay, thank you. Uh 4 foot2 public comment. I don't believe there's any here for public comment. Uh 5.1 board member report nothing lastation. I went to graduation. He went to graduation. It was really a lot of fun. weeks ago. >> I have one thing. My mom passed away and so I've been cleaning out the house and so I found I sent you a book >> a certificate from when I was in first grade here that I got for reading 30 books at the end of the

movie that your mom kept it. Yeah, >> that's >> Yeah, I'm fine for [laughter] >> 30. >> So, yeah, >> 30 books is no joke, though. No, not for first gra this year. But, um, >> yeah. Uh, first grade is uh like your George. Yeah. Like your dog. Yeah. like confident works. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> That's awesome. >> The superintendent reported. >> So about the same. I mean, we had a wonderful graduation. People were incredibly happy. Uh parents have uh emailed and and uh celebrated on social media their pride in um graduating from our school and their um their happiness around the ceremony, which has been great. as a playground update. Um we are moving forward with the TKK playground. Uh I we I contact either via email or Zoom calls are planning um an

installer on a weekly basis. We got good news. Was that yesterday? It was yesterday. Um that it does look like they'll be able to complete it prior to school. It's really tight line because we didn't we couldn't buy just the kit because of the shade structure aspect of it. So the production of the materials is taking a little bit longer but the contractor is going to uh in mid July do all of the prep work. So then when it's you know it's all ready to rock. >> There is a chance that first week there might be an alternative uh or alternate entrance to or to pay but they're really working hard to get it completed. Um, it's great. And then, um, we are, uh, moving classrooms, clean deep cleaning, doing all of that with our

maintenance and operations department. Martin, Manny, and Ben are doing a stellar job. Um, in summers, they work 410, so they work the same amount of hours, but spread over four days. It's that's something they've requested. It's great. Um and we started summer stars which is our extended learning opportunity for summer or summer school but really at camp great energy. We have amazing teachers uh 53 students registered. We're a little under that this week because there's um which guards not junior guards the junior guards junior guards are still we have a bunch in but we'll continue to grow as the summer goes. It's a free program 9 or 8:30 to 2 every day. We'll provide a snack and a meal. um hiking, creative riding the plus Peterson. Um yesterday they were whale watching on pier as

part of their hiking uh and uh outdoor exploration, drama, theater and on music and uh visual uh visual arts. So cooking >> Oh, sorry. Thank you. Yes. And culinary arts. Yes. And cooking. That's great. >> Um they they're actually using the hot plates because they're younger kids. So they're doing um like uh mixes and baking a little bit of baking. She'll do the baking part of it, but um with hot cake plates. Yeah. So fun. So fun. Yeah, we actually got to uh see the end. And then it culminates with all the kids doing one activity for the last 25 minutes of the day. Today was a um make make your own fashion show out of trash bags. And so they team it was like a teamwork activity, but they had the same supplies and

did a cat block with was wonderful >> photos. It was so free. Yes. Yeah. It was so adorable. >> I laughed so hard I fell over. >> Yes. [laughter] >> It was great. >> And what grade is that? >> It's um first So current first. So really next year second through sixth grade. >> Yep. That's it. >> Okay. Uh 5.3 library reports. >> Part of the educational code in California Department of Ed requirement is that we have an a library report every year. Um you will notice attached is our library report. It shows the usage of uh our library books. There was a significant decline from last year and it was mostly isolated in middle school. Um so that is a great task for us to look at and see what we can encourage and

um we have wonderful middle school books. In fact, we spent quite a bit of money and u getting some more uh interesting books for middle school. But uh yeah, that was definitely the defined that occurred. Um, so we're just kind of digging into that and seeing where it's at because literacy and reading is so important for vocabulary and writing and advancement and both a student and a human. So that's your uh library report. So I'm excited about looking at our next steps with our library to return to August. >> Thank you. Okay. Section six, consent agenda. >> Staff recommends approval of the consent agenda. Make >> a motion to approve the consent agenda. I'll second it. Any further discussion? Trusty Schuler. >> Hi. >> Trusty Frank. Trusty Ross. All right. Trusty CIA. >> Hi. >>

Motion passes 4 Z. >> Okay. 7 7.1 review approved donation. >> This is a wonderful donation. So last meeting we had two very generous donations towards the TK playground. And then now we have another uh generous and wonderful donation. This is the third year in a row community foundation at the stero has looked at our afterchool program and families that may need need a little extra support in paying for after school. Um, and they work it's a confidential process with Melanie uh who is does a great job and then she gives them the amounts that for the eligible families and then whatever they can give um you know we're accepting of but this year they did $6,586 for uh 21 students uh from 13 families to help cover after school program. And it's also a

benefit to the school because at times those are the things that the district at the end of your year can't pay and end up writing you off. So it helps not only the school district but our community. So very generous. We'll make sure to write a very uh kind card. But yeah, so over the last three years we're just under $20,000 uh of their donations >> for that program. >> That's awesome. Yeah, we'll make a motion that we approve the donation. >> I'll second. Any further comments, questions? Trusty B. Trusty Ross. >> I trusty Christier. >> Hi, >> Trusty Schulz. >> Hi. >> Motion passes for Zebo. >> Okay. 7.2 uh local performance indicator self- presented. So in addition to the LCAP um which we presented at length last meeting uh the California Department of

Education also requires look what's called the self-reflection and this is tied directly to the eight priorities for local educational agencies. It looks at highly qualified teachers access to books facility repairs um all of those aspects that aren't necessarily focused in as much on the LPAT. We submit the self-reflection. We have a report attached. It's a separate report that you write. Um and then you also have to um fill out some forms to the health department website. Um we have and then you'll see on that there's rankings in all those areas. So like for the area of curriculum, here's just a little snapshot. It'll have you know history, science, and it'll look at um world languages, all those different aspects. And where are you in implementation? uh five being I think it's four actually being perfect,

three, two, and one. Um so you'll see a lot of fours. I'm kind of strict on it. There's some threes. Those are areas where I do a lot of observations and I think maybe that there's some more alignment. Doesn't mean we don't have access. We are using state adopted curriculum, but there might be um some you know fine tuning that can take place in those. Um but overall we are um rated in all of the acceptable >> make a motion that we accept the local performance indicator self. Go ahead. >> Any further discussion? I will say last year when it was in the podcast format, it was much easier to digest than to go through all of this. >> I'll put that. So yeah, that's no problem, Bill. >> It's okay. >> No, no problem.

Yeah, >> it's kind of it's kind of a lot to go through. >> It is. Yeah. Yeah, it is. Um I will say the nice part about this is there is some align alignment of BLAP. Um so but yeah it's a law pass I >> trusty scher >> and trusty motion passes 47.3 to local control accountability >> great so last meeting we discussed at length of our four areas of goals of academic achievement specifically looking at a gap of achievement between our um unduplicated students who might be English language learners um special education free and reduced lunch students with our other groups of students um access to visual and performing arts which we've maintained um positive school culture and climate uh which really we assessed through our LCAP surveys of parents, students, staff and then

college and career and um and citizen community which is making sure that we are launching our kids and being really strategic about knowing and valuing a small school district but then filling in the gaps. So because they're not used to navigating large schools, how do we make it more um accessible to students so they can launch into any of the surrounding high schools with success? Um our ELAP is staying roughly the same. If anything, it might go down just a little bit because it's based on percentages of students who qualify for free reduced lunch and that has slightly gone down, but it should be it's almost commensurate with the increase in cola. So the cost of living increase is at 4% but we have a reduction. So, it's going to stay within probably $1,000 of

what we have now, which is at right around $134,000$133,000. Um, which currently all funds um para educators in elementary classrooms, a portion of them. So, staff does recommend approval. I'd be happy to discuss any aspect of it. Um, I know you guys had great questions last meeting, but um, I recommend approval of the local control accountability plan for the 2627 school year. >> I'll make a motion to approve the local accountability next year. Second, >> any further discussion? >> Trusty. Hi, >> Trusty Shy. Hi, >> Trusty Frank. Trusty Boss. Motion passes >> except four 6.7 final dungeon >> and just to be aware um I'm not purposely bringing these twice. It's just part of the Yeah, I know you guys know that, but just as a refresher. So, yes, we brought this last time. It's

the same attachment uh which is our uh 2627 uh uh budget projections. We will have u the process between now and September where Jenny and Melanie worked in a wonderful partnership to close out our books and then uh Jenny does go on our unodudited actuals. So any type of budgetary differences will be made then. There may be also some budgetary changes depending on the governor's budget and the aid that's approved. So there were a couple things that we took the liberty of implementing now because all of the fiscal advising we saying this money's assured you should put it in your budget now and there's a c there's one in particular we held back on. So it that that might be a budget adjustment that comes in September as well. that we will see the governor's

budget uh hopefully gets passed um prior to July one or July one. Um our multi-year projection sits for the 26 27 year which would be next school year at 22.4 uh for our reserve percentage the following year out at 16.6 and then the year out right at 15. Again, those are, you know, pretty flexible in looking at um, you know, certain monies that we can account for in that third year out. Uh, but really healthy. Uh, again, I Jenny does a beautiful job partnering with our district and we're really thankful to have her um through the San Francisco County Office. Good. >> Make a motion to approve the 2026 2027 financial budget. >> Second. >> Any further discussion? Trusty Schuler. Hi, >> Trusty. Um, Trusty Ross. Hi, >> and Trusty Pig. Hi. >> Motion passes

for >> action items. >> Uh, our school is going to participate in the Fourth of July parade. Um, so we will be in towards the beginning. Uh, we will have our ambigu student that does the design for the t-shirt and then also, um, some lovely scooters and a marching group of students um, which will be great. and our lead championship boys basketball will also be marching for their uh yeah they're trying to get together. They're so proud of their achievement here. >> I mean perhaps what >> they put it out to the families to see what's going to be so they're so pumped. So I love it. I love it so much. But um so that'll be great. Uh and then our next meeting is August 12th. Um, I'll send a copy of my calendar.

Um, I am here either here most days except for about uh eight days in July. Um, Mary and Melanie and I and Martin and his team. So, um, you can also get a hold of me on myself too. Anything else? In August, I believe we will talk again about possible CSDA possible who's at that point. We will know who's running for board at that point because board elections will the window will have closed by our next board meeting. >> July 13th is when that window opens. August 7th is when it closes unless an incumbent decides not to run and then it will be another week. So it is time now to uh definitely make a choice. going [laughter] and then uh yes, we will discuss possible conferences at that time if we're resuming or new

or what's going on at that point. >> Yeah. And we'll also know at that meeting if we do need to look at appointments for the process of recruitment or appointments if we don't have someone's bills investigated. >> Yeah. And then remember as soon as July 13th happens the weekly Fridays you can actually go on to the slope county elections website and it will show you an updated at 5:00 on every Friday just thereafter all our trustee areas and if anybody has um submitted favors yeah >> kind of interesting >> not as interesting as world cup soccer. So, [laughter] anything else? I think we're great. >> Yeah, >> it's been so much fun. >> It's been the best. >> Great job. Gary wants me to [laughter]
