about >> discussion. No, I mean I don't know how many you guys have dug into it, but um I was at a meeting where Ben was there to present kind of and discuss this so to speak and sounds like the state asked them a few years ago to take less of a mill and they realized that taking less of a mill will be a permanent thing. So it's really just to go back to hey we 4.977 mills or whatever that number was. This allows them to go back to that. So it's kind of stakeholder rebound I could say so to speak. >> Do you know how it will be written on the ballot? >> No. >> It gives them what you used to call floating mill levies. The school districts used to be able to

do that. So if your assessed values went up or down, you could adjust your mill levy so your revenue was even. So you could plan >> versus chasing whatever the assessed valuations of your communities are. So it allowed the board of trustees to set to maintain constant revenues so they can do planning. That's sense >> and it makes sense because the you said the overall valuations, excuse me, for residential is going to go down, >> but that's our prediction. >> Right. Right. Right. That it's all >> and another cycle where it does the other way and they'll do what they did last time. They >> brought it down. >> Give a tax break to everybody. >> Dr. Hill. >> Hi, >> Mr. Jobs. >> Hi, >> Mrs. Lumber. >> Hi, >> Mrs. Basel. >> Hi,

>> Miss Shiffman. Hi. >> And Mr. Smith. >> Hi. >> Okay, that's everything for the night. So, moving into board communications committee reports. Mandy, any questions? >> Yes. >> Um, David like the federal stuff is that Now everything is flowing ID funding. Um that was the commissioner's report that 4 digit today is is flowing through at the moment. All that funding all that revenue from the federal government to support special education. So um right now concerns and that could change next week. We did we did already receive our biggest allocation as well. So broad not for the but for their whole big chunk >> right now our risk is pretty low >> um in comparison to those revenue streams that we rely on our risk is low right now doesn't mean there's no risk and

I don't know what it looks like months from now >> I'll be perfect in the universe um facilities and stuff I'll try to highlight the county and us are trying to sit down again and have a conversation. I do know we were on their agenda today. So I don't know what that discussion was but um they had we have no knowledge. >> We have no knowledge. It was an executive session. So um we expect to hear back from them soon. Just trying to coordinate calendars and different things and priorities. Um we are talking to the city of Salida as they developed their South Park neighborhood. I think they approved that technically and we told them we were interested in land um to be able to have those conversations and they were um interested in picking

up those conversations more in phase two versus phase one. So that was out there >> awareness in phase one of that big >> and they were honoring the intergovernmental agreement on that. So I have two of them. Kudos. Appreciate them stepping up and honoring agreements. >> So those conversations are very infinite stage. Um and there's anything else in other than there's some kind of conversations that could be advertised. We try to figure out some with the county. The most recent thing you're working on is what? still trying to figure out the better grounds annexation, >> right? But we kind of have given up on the 20 acres which would help with the one which has facilities, right? We can't get that. But there's 10 acres still alive. >> I don't even go Okay, don't even

talk. potentially. I mean, it's just it it doesn't mean it doesn't align with the IGA. Um, so that gets a little bit difficult of I don't believe the school should sign an MLU and they already are not honoring their IGA. >> Fair. Yeah. >> So, >> and that's right now what's on the table, but we've not been able to have a conversation since they kind of >> and they just met and so maybe there will be a movement and you'll have more. Maybe there's more. And I know the town budget is working through all the recreation things that they're doing and that turns into do we help secure a future school site for our town and they're having those conversations, >> right? >> District for the town. >> No, just >> Okay. Okay. That's a

big deal. Okay. >> All right. So, yeah, still a little, >> you know, things aren't moving quite yet. Yeah. real slow. >> That's an understatement. >> Okay, thank you for that. It's update is my >> Thank you. Uh communications. [Music] >> Um I have >> no just we had a nice uh meeting today which I appreciate. So the people that do our website and our app and to have all those governmental regulations so it's you know ADA compliant goes into that right it's redesigned um we were looking at another product that would be external communication so like us to families using the same app so it's one place one pane of glass they call it technology wise >> so internally we would use what's we call WebEx so I'm talking to a staff member um

but if we could give it particularly for coaches. We're trying to find a solution so that coaches are not communicating with kids outside of those things and have a universal one platform all the way down to if I'm a kindergarten teacher in class dojo like how can we get it so parents have a single place to do communication they sell that so we look promising so that would be the next thing we're looking into WebEx is kind of that internal system >> can we use this system and would it resolve and get everyone on the same page for communication with families. So then we have families who um may not be as equipped to navigate 10 different systems might have a better chance for helping to navigate one. And then the activities athletics >> asking

us what what do is there something that they use now like I know about my team we there's an app and the coaches communicates very >> which is concerning for adults. Yeah, currently with working on policies to write anything, it's not appropriate that you don't have to offer that >> might solve that. So, and it integrates all in one system. So, again, like you're checking on your kids field trip, it's all in one place. That would be a nice thing. They call it rooms. So it's set up in a way like seventh grade science teacher has a room and all that stuff is there and then the football coach has a room and all like so it's all in one like it's all in the same >> key reason is this would nightly go and

look at infant campus which database of record and you got to think about so like you have a family both parents can get information on the kid or pick the kid up November they go through a bad situation they had a divorce and only one people and you have all these systems and you can't manually keep up with that. >> So, Infinite Campus, when you update that, if you have to find a tool that goes and looks every single night and updates to update the rostering to make sure we're keeping kids safe spaces possible. This one does it. It's the first one we found that might work, >> I guess. >> No. And so, I think the only case that like the rooms where the like anyone can go and download the download down the

selected school district app. The rooms component is a sign in like as a parent you have to sign. Not everybody can get in and see all the things, but then you're given access to your kid and volleyball and you get call updates or whatever that I think it sounds really promising in terms of solving a number of issues features >> and it would be nice if that could apply to any non district Correct. And that was and we asked specifically today if you have a coach who's not a staff member because we can manually some systems you have to have a district email address to make something work. You have someone who's not a staff member. We can manually add them and get them set up in the same way. So they're still communicating with

students in a monitor. Yeah. In a monitor space. That'll be another one. We're going to be happy with whatever decision bring forward recommendation. Tell one person they can't do what they love their communication tooling. That's >> want every to have a trusted adult. >> I'm just naming that. Not everyone will appreciate solving that problem. >> I will appreciate having Um, so my other communication question is like board packet. Oh, we talked about that we were going to start having like a public more of a public facing >> and I will my goal is so because there's a couple components and there's the packet and there's the the board policy. So those two little big pieces um forward policy on that by the end of the year before then that piece and then yeah next month

this month. >> So do you anticipate like an email to the whole school community that says here's the board agenda? >> I don't think so. I think my in my mind like it's from the board website page. It's just posted. I probably post the agenda now, but it just has a link to the package >> that's the same but different. >> Um and I think right now internally with staff we do send out a um after we get the agenda set, we've got an all staff email that goes out that includes the agenda, so the notes on it. um and a link to the board page. Um >> yeah. Well, and it's and we legally have to have a like a bulletin board essentially and you can do it digitally. So that is our like

official board bulletin board if you will, but that's all our legal posting things like our agenda has to be posted so many hours before the board meeting. And so that's where all of those things live um is that official board page. So it would just be added just there. So >> yeah, I think the biggest thing is just like I don't know if there's a law surrounding it or best practice for like how far back you keep your public back on your website versus like >> Yeah, that's all state law. Um I think two years on the website and then every other board document has we keep it forever. So forever and ever and ever, but digitally two years is what we maintain on this. >> Great to keep that one checked off. >> Cas

and anything other than >> I think October last year is when I suggested they do that panel on the cell phone bands. So they seem pretty open to suggestions. So, if there's anything you're wanting to hear from peers around the state, any topics, email me and I'll email them because they seem pretty receptive. >> And that was >> You changed. That's right. Thank you. But you all over the state. >> Uh quick just another CASBY fun thing. We do have two students who will be going to the conference this year. >> Um so they're all set up and [Music] that's it is not me. >> Yeah. It's one of those I don't know the history. >> I do. Um I'll don't know. So I don't want to say well I'll get you that information but

we do have two great young women who will be joining us. >> Yeah. >> Do they need to stay or not? >> They are not per Kazzy's rules they are not allowed to stay at war. So they will be at the I forget which hotel set up at but whichever student hotel is allowed for them. But they do get to be at the conference. >> So >> yeah. >> Okay. >> Ben, anything on deck? >> Not currently. >> Um Kim, anything necessary on the election update? >> Um uh so as the designated election official for the district, I get invites to um some of the processes with our local clerk and reporter. last week, I think it was, um, we do a we test the system basically. So, I got to go in and I

filled out 25 madeup ballots that just fill in all the bubbles, make sure everything's reading everything correctly. Um, and then we process them and test the system and see how it works. >> And the only mistakes were the human errors because you like tally up to make sure you know what you've got on your stuff. And um the machines send you the things and these when things don't match you have to go figure it out and all the mistakes were our own >> humans. But it so it really was a fascinating process to kind of get to see and understand. >> Yeah. >> Um and I got an email today from Lori and when they start getting ballots in, we're invited as designated election officials to go see how that process works. Um so far

as how they they call it sausaging. So as they get in ballots and they put it together and how they work those through the process. It's really fascinating. So, >> and they I can talk to someone from their office. There is some sort of student >> poleworker observer situation. So, I don't know. >> Maybe if we could give that to like Mr. Hines or someone that would be great. >> Well, I'm an election judge. I have been for a long time. And um last year we had the the students >> and they were so they were just a thing of beautiful democracy, you know. >> Yeah. all the the checks and balances and ways they made sure that like >> and they were they did work. >> Yeah. >> Fascinating to say. >> So we

should have them. >> Anyway, I thought that was interesting. >> Ballot should all be cool. >> Okay. Uh calendar events. You got the November meeting on Veterans Day. It looks like [Music] Let's see. >> The member is probably a pretty busy meeting. Could potentially include a work session. >> Not yet, but sure. >> Sounds like >> Yeah, we do have it set because we've got busy schedules going into November. So, if whoever wants to volunteer, it will be November 5th at 3 p.m. >> Wait, what is agenda? You're off of >> November 5th at some >> You're in it. Okay. >> Okay. >> We do have your auditor here. I do expect session >> for the audit. >> Yeah, we'll do a minute budget. We'll see. It's also he's probably running a title. So >>

after that, >> no pressure. >> Close to that time. you know, do your work. >> Yeah, the 15th. Yeah. >> So, put that on your calendar. >> Yeah. Put that >> Put that on your calendar. >> Okay. We got the council conference in there and looking >> and they will be waiting to >> we we part of that team too. >> Yeah. >> Looking for a motion to adjourn >> Andy at 8:40. This is awesome. >> Good job, team. Shut down, however you got it, >> right? The ambience. What was it called? >> Ambient go. This is our in.
