I know we're reorganizing everything

008else, but without the help of your leadership for the last two years, you came in and helped out the district, kids, and everybody else. I want to thank you for everything you have done. So on behalf of the board of education, we'll give you a little plaque for a little. Thank you. Thank you so much. Board of Education. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Ted. Okay. So, everyone have the agenda? Uh, yes. Okay. Just so you know, at 6:30, Mr. Big Lapir is going to be coming in har 25 30 minute presentation on ethics. Okay. And then we'll finish up our meeting uh about 6:55 7:00 with the final agenda item. Like I said, Vic should be here in about 10 or 15 minutes. So the agenda uh going on to page two. Again, what

009you have here is approximately about 100 vendors, contractors, professional services that we have to appoint each year. Some are for one-year terms. Some of the vendors and contractors are as many as three years. We have one uh contractor who does a lot of our mathematical curriculum. Correct me if I'm wrong, Mrs. Calgary Savas. I think we did a six-year window and we saved quite a bit of dollars over that six-year window. So we have Savas from 2425 all the way through, if I do my math right, 2030. Uh so we locked them in and the the the incremental benefit we got from locking in versus three years was nearly 50%. So Mrs. caliber was a great deal. So I thought it was a great deal. So um we locked in for for Saba. So like

010I said approximately 100 vendors, contractors, professional services, those means lawyers, attorneys, auditors, everything includes agreements, contracts, affidavits, Russia forms, quotes, second quotes, everything that needs to be in the final purchase order uh for the auditors uh for the state. Our regular orders and our fiscal orders are all set. We have just onesie twoosies that are left over that we still have to clean up, but the great majority of the nearly hundred contractors, vendors, and professional servicees are pretty much buttoned up. Um, we just appointed Miss Tabbakia and Mr. GarcA for president and vice president. Congratulations again. Uh, on page two, um, the right in the middle of the page with standard operating procedures. We got that approved by CUSAC who was in a few months ago. Um Frank Barado continues to be our treasurer. And

011second from the bottom you see myself QPA I authorized the bid threshold to be 44,000. That allows me to work on capital projects above 44,000 that go to open bid. As you know we have the multi-purpose room which was just awarded and we are have we have a bid opening on Thursday for the uh gymnasium HVAC project for number three and number four school. I will update the board in regard to the outcome of those two projects. Again, they're on Thursday at 11:30. Um, page three, just appointing some of our janitorial, our our, uh, third party provider for our 403b and 457b. Uh, TD Bank is going to be our bank depository, uh, which they continue to be over the last couple of decades. Uh same thing with page four, just about who can sign,

012when they can sign, and who needs to sign. Um bottom of page four is all our state contracts. And as you know, state contracts, county cooperatives, national cooperatives, we don't need to go out to bid. The contractor and the vendors already gone out to bid. So that that cuts a lot of the red tape when we have state contractors, county cooperatives, or national cooperatives. And that's really part of page five. Also, those are all the vendors and all the contractors that either have a state contract, county cooperative, or a national cooperative. And we use just about every one of them each and every year. On the bottom of page five, it should be noted that we are going to be appointing a new medical physician and medical consultant, Dr. Jonathan M. Dominguez. He's going to

013be replacing Dr. Me effective July 1st, 2025. Uh Mr. Porfidto will engage Dr. Me in the coming weeks in regard to the transition. Page six, we have some of our professional services. Will Cox Company is our auditor which we're already working on our end ofear audit with them. We have our Aera contractor which essentially does all our asbests and uh Aera inspections. They just did our three-year plan. I'm happy to note they really found no findings throughout the schools in regard to their inspections. So, we got a clean bill of health in our three-year plans. And then that's that's kudos to, you know, our custodial staff. Uh we try to keep our buildings up to speed. Uh keep them clean, keep them safe. Anytime we believe there's tiles that have asestous, we remove them. So

014again, kudos to the to the staff on the bottom. Land Associates will continue to be one of our architects of record. Uh on page seven, top of page seven, United Federated Systems, obviously continues to be our security and alarm services contractor. And then on page seven and to page eight, we have our HVAC preventive maintenance vendor, which is Express Air, who's been with us for the better part of 10 years. Middle of page eight, uh we continue to maintain our athletic field. We have four maintenance sessions each and every year. We continue to do that. The field continues to be in pretty good shape. Uh they believe we have about another two to three years of shelf life on the on the field in regard to they do concussion tests and they do several other

015tests in regard to the give of the field. So probably in the next year or two we may start to uh have the potential to go out to uh to bid in regard to a new surface on the field. But right now it feels in very good shape. Concussion testing from uh the end of last year was excellent. We do another one before the I call them the contact sports soccer and football. We do it at in the end of August and I'll give the board an update on that score. But last year the score was very good. On the bottom of page eight, we still continue to use Zoro Zonar. They do all our GPS tracking for our 25 to 26 buses. And on the top of page nine, uh we are using school

016health to service and maintain all our AEDs. We have 22 AEDs defibrillators throughout our district. Mr. for P Forfeido heads that up and uh does a nice job with that. Uh in the middle of the page uh we are going to also have a new architect of record called we call them ENV which is actually doing some work for us now in regard to the cafeteria ENV architects. I believe Mr. Capano recommended them through Pamis and thus far they've done a real nice job very uh very responsive. Bottom of page nine we continue to use CJ Vanderbeck. They do our annual inspections and cleaning and all our repairs for our boilers and they do our uh combustion adjustment for the high school because the high schools above a certain BTU range which we have to

017do what they call ACA test each and every year based on the recommendation page 10 on the top from Mahonian we have moved on from Harima and we're going to be using a company called Dr. ice to maintain our food service equipment, coolers, freezers, ice machines, walk-in boxes, milk boxes to include two inspections per year, plus filter changes. Um, Ponttonian was passionate about moving on from Harma and using Dr. Ice. They know a lot more than I do about the business. So, we're moving on from ARMA and we're going to be using Dr. Ice in the middle of the page. Uh we each and every year in the summer we do fire extinguisher uh certifications and and inspections from Allied Fire and Safety. They've been with us for several years. They do all the schools

018and they do the buses. And on the bottom of the page, Cotine Associates who were actually recommended by the burrow several years ago. They do our bidding for all our energy contracts, gas and uh therms and gas and kilowatts electricity. So uh they really monitor when we were going off our contract for kilowatts and therms/ gas and then they go out and bid. So we get really better much better pricing per unit than we would from PSEG. Very good. Very good bunch of working out very well. They're very good. They've got one guy, his name is Jason Markhamm. He's a savant. He knows everything and anything about the energy futures and stuff like that. Really, it saves us, I would say, tens of thousands of dollars on the year in total energy, uh, for gas

019and electric. So, uh, kudos to the to the burrow for recommending them. Um, top end of, uh, page 11, we have Interstate and Tomms, who we continue to use to service our buses. Tom services our smaller buses and vans. interstate services are 54s. And on the bottom of page 11, we continue to use critical response group. And Teddy and Joe, I think you remember when they came in, that gentleman who was a Marine uh was in Afghanistan did great pitch, very pragmatic. Um uh they update our digital floor plans with the help of the CPPD and the CPFD. um really a really good company uh in regard to uh engaging them through in developing and maintaining our digital floor plans. Good stuff. Uh top end of page 12, second from the top, we have Fogerty

020and Hara. Uh they are changing their name a bit. Uh it's now going to be called Fogerty, Hara, Leira, and Cherry LLC. Steve Fogerty, I don't know if everyone's aware, is is going to be retiring. Uh not officially for a while, but he's he's going to be moving on. So they they tweet the uh they tweet the name of the organization and then in the middle of right in the page you see approved energy and clean sky energy. Those are from we just mentioned Cotine those are the two bids that were ordered for both gas and electric recently uh for gas and electric suppliers outside the scope of PSCG. It's called a one bill contract. PSENG still builds us, but the energy supplier is Approved Energy and Clean Sky. And on the bottom of page

02112, we continue to maintain our gym fours. Uh we used to have the number six school elementary used to be included in there, but because of the construction, we're only going to be doing the high school and middle school gym floor maintenance this year. from a company called J&J gym fors actually sir found them very good did a very good job for us so Donna you're in page 13 you're probably the key point person along with Mr. Savastiano and a bunch of other staff for Renaissance. Again, another push to kind of pay upfront and this was a million dollar contract and we ended up getting getting it for $700,000 over three years. Donna, I think you can attest that it's been well worth the dollars, right? I hear nothing but raves in regard to that.

022Uh, let the momentum continue. Yeah, let the momentum continue, right? So, yeah, that that seems like it's been a great investment. And then really on page 13 and 14, the bottom two and the entire page are all essentially these are all new ads. Thanks to the board, we're getting two again two new buses and we turn over our buses. We're retiring about four of them and we're we're turning over two new ones. You know, after 15 years, as you know, uh 15 into the 16th year, we have to retire the buses. So, I want to thank the board for that. We're turning over two new um buses uh from uh at New York City LLC. They are state contracted. Uh they used to be called the old truck king. They are now go by the

023new name of at New York City LLC. Um page 14, Mr. Porfido engaged a new contractor vendor called Perry Weather provides software and wireless outdoor warning system with a weather station blah blah blah. Essentially, it's a lightning detector. Uh, we're doing it for about 50% less than the other vendor we're doing. And according to the software folks, Mr. Savastano and folks like that, it's just a better product. So, we can never be too safe, especially when kids are out on a field with aluminum bats when it's 95° out and we start to see the light lighten up the sky. So, this is really a good a really good investment. Well worth the money. Uh, Donnie, you can probably speak to smart pass. You know, we engage that process of Dr. pays. We are renewing it.

024Essentially, it's a digital hall pass solution with uh real time actionable data. Really, the end goal is to maximize instructional time and keep the kids out of the hallway for Is that fair enough, Mrs. Calibri? Is that about it? Hallways monitoring system seems to be a hit. Uh seems to be a hit. And then uh as I uh gave the board a heads up a couple of weeks ago, uh Mel the group really my first project when we transitioned from I believe Mr. Monturro with these local and longdistance phones. Um they are going out of business. They're going chapter 11. We can no longer service their phones. So our telecom consultant uh Tony Parisella from Adel Engage Intermediate and we are we have just completed the transition for a local and long distance and this

025Frank Savannah actually raves about. There's so many more features to this. We're actually paying less per month. They gave us 180 free phones. And the other phones we had to pay for were 15 executive phones. The phones like the secretaries use Claudia and the board of educational. So it was really a win-win all around. Incremental functionality, less monthly cost, 180 new phones. Only thing is we have it pretty much work the entire spring break, but they're they're young. They'll get over it, right, David? So So thank you for you and your team. Uh really did a pretty seamless. We haven't heard much noise, right? Really about They don't ring. That's why you didn't mute phone. So, uh, so, uh, it's worked out, you know, not good, uh, not very well. And, and that's that's pretty

026much the overview. The last page is again ethics which you guys signed which Vic Lapiro will be coming in that I have to send the resolution to the uh to the county confirming that we had the the uh ethics res uh ethics presentation and then you signed the ethics code which you did that one page. So, that's pretty much it in a in a nutsh um any any questions on on that? Like I said, we got about 100 vendors. We turned over about 10. We got six new ones. We eliminated uh three or four. So, we're constantly turnurning, trying to find better deals, better vendors for a better dollar, for incremental value. um working with our internal team and our external consultants such as Cotine and Adel. So uh I think we're in uh we're

027in pretty good shape. The only negative is every almost every line item has gone up. 100 we have 100 vendors 95 of them went up at least 3 to 5%. That some went up even more. I spoke to some of them that hit us with double digit increases said look you know this that. So we did some bering and brought it down a bit but you know everyone's in the same boat. And speaking of Mr. Liria here he ising and har. Hey perfect perfect timing again. Sure on the phones. So I know the phones have been out here. So this will be replacing all phones. The phones the new system. All phones are replaced. Okay. All 180. I call them regular phones like I have. And then there's the executive phones that have a much

028bigger switchboard and they can transfer both internally and externally. Every phone has been exchanged because we could not we could not repair or upgrade the myel phones because they're going out of business. Thus all their vendors and contractors we couldn't do a lot with them. So we really had no choice by the end of the year. So, like I said, we were fortunate to have our consultant and te telecom contractor Adellex engage intermediate and it was a pretty uh seamless transition and not only we get new phones, we're going to be paying less monthly charges. So, it's really when and we're getting added features. So, so I just we were just talking about that Vic will be uh Vic from Fogerty and Hara will be doing about approximately 30-minut presentation on ethics. He does it

029each year. So, uh, without further ado, uh, Dick, right, you're you're ready. Okay. Where do you want me to stand? Um, yeah, we're in a different room, so it's not logistically it's not so um Yeah, I'd be happy. Thank you very much. Do you want us close to it here or it's good? No. Are we still recording the ethics or we're done? No, we're done. We're done. Okay. Yeah. Are you going to take a motion to approve the uh agenda? The reorg? Yeah. All right. So, I'm going to make a motion to approve uh the reorg agenda. I'll second it. Okay. Mrs. Abru, yes. Mr. Capano, yes. Mr. Fredo, yes. Mr. Cara, yes. Drew, yes. Ror, yes. Mr. Russo, yes. And Mr. Ter, thank you for all your hard work. Okay. Thank you. I appreciate

030Thank you. I appreciate the board support. Um, like I said, we I talked to a lot of VAS and uh they have some uh
