003further have to acknowledge Donna Calabrese for all she's done for me the last three weeks Gia favano who's been a tremendous asset hasn't been easy transitioning from Mr Roman Gino today self-deprecate and tell you Mr romagino has a much better skill set than me when it comes to technology and I've been leaning on Gia and she's been tremendous and Frank savastano as well so again thank you to all of them and once again I thank this board of education for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this great town and great school system so thank you all thank you secondly on July the 20th I received notice somewhere around 11 30 a.m to be in the mayor's office at 12 a.m at 12 pm where mayor Calabrese and I were presented with 150
004backpacks filled with school supplies from two former residents of Cliffside Park Steve Gardner and his sister Therese that morning they I think they had fundraising throughout the months of May and June and that morning they visited Cliffside Park Fairview Fairview and Fort Lee and presented each superintendent and mayor with the 150 backpacks I thank them on behalf of the Board of Education told them that I can Envision a lot of smiling faces in the months to come and when the principals and I get back on vacation on August the 8th we'll have a means of distribution of the 150 and I'll let the board know how we're going to go about that in the audience is Mr ciros benella who I know you all publicly acknowledged for his great job when I was in the
005audience with him in June and I wanted you to know that he also was very kind and generous to me took me on a tour of all five schools Friday and Monday and you can see once again the pride in the buildings introduced me to the entire custodial staff everyone working very very hard making sure the buildings are ready for the students and teachers in September and the parents and so Sarah once again thank you and appreciate all you've done for me and uh lastly I wanted you to know that um all of your principles supervisors Mr Mr janucci in the High School Mrs Pinto special services we're working very very hard to complete our staffing for the school district for September we still have three or four vacancies but again it's a very fluid
006number that three or four and every day we're working at it there's two interviews tomorrow with someone and I'm hoping that by August the 15th I can report to you that everyone is fully but again I want you to know that we're working our hardest to fill those last three vacancies any questions to this point it's okay I'd like to run through the present the resolutions thank you so page two there's already a change my luck first resolution I'm presenting to you is a change on but what we what you have on paper we simply didn't want to go back and reprint Mr alfano is taking care of the Google drive to make sure it's that the resolution and the minutes reflect what I'm going to say to you uh on the first resolution only

008drivers good news the bottom of page we found three new teachers who were asking you to appoint and the teacher ready page page four continues with recommendations for appointments of teacher aides teachers resource roommates and custodians but I did want to highlight the fourth resolution to you where sorry I'm asking you the third resolution I'd like to highlight is Pinto found a school psychologist new member of the child study team bilingual we believe she's a real find Mrs pinto and Mr alfano put their heads together and worked at a funding mechanism to fund that salary and again considering it's a July 15th July 20th higher you think she's going to be a great addition to the club said part of public schools once again thank you Mr alfano for working on Mrs kentellana you're welcome

011are starting to work on year 2425 in regard to potential capital projects and the major line items Pages 17 to 22 those are really the key Finance resolutions we're paying a couple of our Capital project contractors from our masonry project at number six in our high school stair Tower project at the high school we are amending and carrying over about 93 hours for idea Ida is essentially that's the grant that helps us offset our child study team special needs tuition and we are also that Dr Hayes mentioned there are June reports Treasurer transfer and secretary you will be approving tonight they will be the executed resolution will be sent to the county tomorrow morning and you're also approving the new lease copyright lease agreement the Xerox that starts this month goes for 60 months at
012a cost of twelve thousand and ninety nine dollars just as an FYI in the previous 16 months that cost was thirteen thousand four hundred and one dollars so got a very good deal from Xerox and they also gave us 29 000 in regard to trading in our old copies so very good deal that we're moving forward with uh with the deer rocks any questions from the board question I'm sorry I have a question on the Zero sure contract um it's just that um it says it's a per page per image agreement and I didn't know if there's a maximum number of images for that monthly fee is there a map there is no Max there is a Max in regard to when you hit a certain threshold they will charge you an overage but the
013first three years of the new lease they are not going to charge us any overage fees okay okay great thank you okay but we will keep we will track that but yes there there is a Max but what we've negotiated was a kind of a a halt on the overage fees for a period of three years again there's there's some fine print so in regard to originally what's considered an overage fee so the color versus the black and white has kind of different stipulations but net net we should keep the overage fees down to a minimum so like I said there is some fine print stipulations that we may see some dollars in regard to the color side versus the black and white side but overall I think we've got to keep our overage fees
014down and we have historically we really haven't had overage fees much more than a thousand to two thousand dollars a quarter since I've been here so net net but that's a very good question so for the most part we think we've negated them for the next 24 36 months but there may be some filter in regard to the color side okay in the color side mostly comes from the Board of Ed color color copiers the black and white copies our average four and a half to five cents a half a cent four tenths of one cent versus a half a cent for color excuse me for black and white for color it's as high as five and a half of a six cents per copy it's ten times as high so we try to be
015Frugal and prudent with our color copying that's why the only color copy is we really have is in the Board of Education Office I really only do color when it's necessary so like I said it's a half a penny versus five to six cents for color so we try to be prudent with that that we couldn't negotiate down the overage uh simply for the reason I guess because the cost per copy is so high but we try to minimize the color it's almost for every copy for every 10 copies of black and white we do one copy of color for your world any other questions okay I think Dr Hayes you wanted to ask about any committee reports I believe is there a reported what president I don't have a report but on the behalf

017people that may need to utilize it individually but a lot of great things going on in the district I know there's a few floors that are going to be replaced and another bathroom at number five School uh it's going to be done also uh so a lot of great things if you do have an opportunity sometime towards the end of August you should walk through the schools you know just the trailers themselves uh have the you know the they don't have the newer LBT they have the 12 by 12 Millennium that needs to be stripped and waxed and what they do at number three school is just amazing they take everything out of those trailers pile them up in the hallway and they go in and they strip floors and bathrooms and then they wax
