002were forward to the reporters of the record July 11 2022 this is an official meeting I'll take the roll now Mr romancino [Applause] okay and this is a brew Mr capano Mrs Freda yeah Mr Garcia here Mr nadru you're Dr pantaliano Mr Russo here Mr Shelley servakia yeah and Mr yanuzzi okay Mr Roman Gina okay I want to welcome everyone to our meeting I just have a couple of quick items under the superintendent's report uh just to inform everyone this is our last week of summer school we've been running a four-week program in all of our elementary schools for grades pre-k through eight uh everything is run very has been going very well this summer I'm happy to report we then have three weeks of enrichment coming up beginning August 1st uh so the weeks
003of August 1st 8th and 15th will be running some summer enrichment programs at school number six this year we're also busy uh as missed alfano will mention a little bit later on with the maintenance of our buildings over the summer uh hiring of new staff members and uh one of the things that we are following uh for September are if there will be any new covet guidelines from the Department of Education it's so as I get information in from the governor's office as we do usually at the beginning of August I'll share that information with the board at this time do we have any committee reports okay any questions from the board before I look at the consent agenda okay so in the consent agenda this is a pretty lengthy agenda this month but if
004we look on page two um the first four first five resolutions uh we're hiring some new staff uh the hiring of new staff is a result of some staff members who have resigned some staff members who are requesting maternity leaves and some retirements so uh Katie nascenti uh will be a new grade four grade three teacher at school number four uh David Goldman will be whose sub has been subbing with us will be a part-time title one teacher at school number five Rosa Miranda who student taught at school number five will be replacing a grade two teacher a grade one teacher at school number five and then when that teacher returns Rosa will be filling in as a part-time title one teacher at school number five uh also hiring a new psychology teacher in the
005high school Jonathan Weber who'll be with us beginning in September and Lauren Birdsall is also a new grade three teacher and number four school so all of these teachers who are new that I'm going over will be taking part on August 31st in an all-day um new staff orientation program that will be having uh actually in this room on August 31st uh page three uh second one down we are appointing a new music teacher uh for school six and school four Catherine damadong who will be with us this year replacing Mr delicio a new science teacher at the high school Joshua frainmark who'll be with us beginning in September a new ESL teacher who was replacing a staff member who recently resigned marabellas arrazzo will be with us at school number five uh as in
006the past Dennis Sayer and Simon Bronco will be back with us at the high school on a per diem basis as they have for the last couple of years uh if we flip over to page four uh about the next to the last resolution we are filling two co-curricular positions that were previously not filled Middle School Saturday detention Leslie Larose and Elementary music instrumental teacher um Catherine dommerdong who will be taking over those positions page five uh second uh resolution down uh we are accepting the following resignations Crystal mirkovic who has been with us at school number six uh Alexandra toribeka who has been with us at school number four Jessica Lee teacher from school number four Kylie purcelli who's been with us at school number four um all accepted those resignations for staff members
007who are either in most cases moving on to other positions in other districts uh we're also accepting the resignation just recently received Jonathan Campisi middle school science teacher Jonathan also headed our robotics team so we'll be reposting that position and enza hendras um grade two teacher at school number four I'm sorry School number five recently resigned so the those resignations are being filled by some of the people that I've mentioned earlier or we're still uh in the interview process uh filling those positions and hopefully we'll have everybody in place by September um we're rescinding the uh co-curricular positions on page six for Jonathan capizzi High School robotics Middle School Debate Club will be reposting those positions and then um starting at the bottom of page six and continuing through page . uh we are approving
008um salaries for our tenured staff members as per the contract agreement we have with the CPA and those people will be receiving contracts over the summer and we're also approving uh non-tenure staff beginning on page 11 and continuing to page 13. and those salaries are all based on the new salary guides that are part of the new agreement with the Cliffside Park Education Association uh page 14 uh we are approving an overnight trip for our cross country team so they've been doing that each year with uh coach Rego and they'll be making that trip to Pennsylvania uh again this year uh we're also appointing the um State mandated violence and vandalism report I believe you have a copy of that in your folders tonight that Gia gave you and we're approving a uh the HIV
009report that's done each year from January through June which is just a summary of the reports that you've been receiving each month page 15 buildings and grounds are fundraising activities that'll be taking place in the upcoming school year and some of the advisors have uh already requested for use of buildings as uh as per board policy the staff founder you have anything in finance five capital projects that we're paying Capital Surplus dollars out of smac is towards the end of the gym renovation project we have one more payment above and beyond this payment and that will close everything out for the gym renovation we have two payments for Mac for the high school roof and the number six School roof we have a payment for techcon high school office renovation and we have a payment
010for cyberco for the high school masonry project uh we are we have closed a year for 2122 one of the resolutions is to approve the report that would go to the County treasurer secretary and transfer report that resolution along with those reports would go to the county tomorrow we are we have opened up 22-23 and our auditor has sent us some requests for the 2122 audit he will most likely he and she will probably be on site the end of August into uh mid-september that's pretty much the financial overview of Mr Roman Jim okay any questions from the board on the consent agenda no one and I see we have no I know we are streaming the meeting tonight but I don't have any questions from the public so if not motion to accept the
