Is that like the vibe that we're going for? Was it inspired after any
film? Oh, it was inspired my uh my director Heaven. She said she was inspired by the movie I Believe in Unicorns. It's this really kind of indie almost like nostalgic feeling film and it has kind of a lot of these moments where it's like these random blurts of like film where she's doing something and that's kind of where a lot of our inspiration came from. That's nice. And what about Philip stays after night after the school? How was that? That was awesome. Y do you want to say thank you very much for kind comments. who stayed for like seven hours and we just did whatever. The principal was super kind, let us use his room and we had overall just a great time. I really loved it. It was very fun. I'm actually one of
the producers for Philip Stays in school at night. Me and Andy over here had a blast helping Philip run around the school and I hope you guys enjoy seeing that. It was quite an adventure. Philip, what do you think about your own film? I like it a lot. It's very funny. Is there anything you more you'd like to say? I hope this film festival goes awesome. That's all. Uh, morning news anchor, CHS TV, um, social media manager, all that good stuff. Period. She's mother, she's queen, and she serves. She's everything. And what is your film about? My film is about someone who goes through a breakup and these like weird things start happening and you'll have to come to this film festival to see more. Are you guys excited? How was behind the scenes filming it? How was it for you? It was very fun. We got to go to like my park near my house to film. That was really fun to do. Was it cold? It was like It was like It got colder as the like time went
on. Yeah, it was warm overall. Is this your first time attending the film festival? Yes, this is. Would you be attending it next year? I hope so. I really hope so. And what about you? Well, I'm a producer with my buddy Tommy. Just went inside. Camila is in our film and we made um what's the name of the film? I forget. Justice Forever. And what is it about? It's about uh basically vigilantes. Yeah, vigilantes. Yes. How was the experience filming behind the scenes? It actually took really long for a 3se secondond clip. Are you serious? How much was the editing? There was a lot of editing. More more Too much editing, I would say. Too much. I didn't I didn't edit. I'm just Are you guys excited to watch the film tonight? Yes. I haven't seen anyone else's film other
than my own, so I am excited. I'm excited. They all look so good from the news. We'll be looking forward to it. Do you guys have anything to say to anyone watching right now? Um, justice forever. I hope you like the films. Bye. Thank you guys. I'm scared. Like I don't I'm not guys. I don't really know what to say. My voice scared me. So we're have to see how we're going to run this guy behind. Oh my gosh. Are we live streaming? Mr. McConey, guys. This is the host, the man. him. It's him, guys. It's Mr. Makami. How you doing, everybody? So, um I I'm We're so First of all, I don't know how lucky you guys really realize how you are, how lucky you are. What am I trying to say here? You
are so lucky to to have and it would have been Philip and Carolyn uh hosting tonight's live stream. Unfortunately, Philip was working so hard on his film that he lost his voice. And so, uh so Carolyn is here. She's kind of flying solo. So, I know I know Philip's going to line up guests for you and so you can interview them. Um, so that's going to be fun. And um and and gosh, I'm just so excited to be here at the 26th annual film festival. And I was just going to ask what year it was 26. Well, Mr. Milky, how was it? How's the difference from the first time you had the fil first film festival until now? Wow. Um, well, I'm hoping to have three times as many people as we had as at
the first one. Although the first one was a lot of fun. uh we were taking a lot of projects that we worked on in in class um and turning them into a film festival and there were some some even very creative uh ideas back then. Um the production value wasn't what it is today. Um editing and special effects and a lot of things that we get to do now um just really wasn't there before. Um but we like I said we we had a lot of creative ideas and a lot of fun putting the film festival together even 26 years ago. Um, so I'm I'm just uh I'm just super excited that we've we kept we keep it going. We raise thousands and thousands of dollars for the Clifton Education Foundation. Um, none of that
money goes back to CAST, you know, directly. Um, we've never actually asked for um any of that money, like even through a grant, but we love that the grants are going to other places, other needy places in the district. Really important that that money is going back into our schools. and um and we're just happy to be able to show off our films, right? Yes, we are. You're a you're a you're a top uh you're a top producer in uh this year's film festival. Um I would say I I was able to produce one of the most special people here in the school, Philip. And fortunately, I was able to produce his film by staying at night. And it was very fun to experience many things like I saw the windows being removed. That was
kind of scary. Um, walking over the breezeway right between between north and central with no railings, no just wide open air, right? It was pretty wild. Yes. And Mr. McConey, was it hard to choose what films to put into the film festival? It is always difficult to choose the films that go in the film festival because there are so many really good ones and we only have two hours to fill. Well, truth be told, we're going over two hours this year because there were so many good films that I just had to put in. I just couldn't say no. And u I think people know that about me. It's hard for me to say no. We heard you included two more films, right? Yes. Actually, three. Now we're up to 18 films tonight. And uh
we're going to be we're going to be having a fun. Which films were added? Um I don't remember which ones were added at the, you know, at the last minute. I think I just kept saying, "Yes, I like this one. Let's put this one in. That's this one." And when I had my original total, it was 15 films. And then all of a sudden, I looked at my whole list and I'm like, "Oh, wow. It's 17 and then I'm like, "Oh, but wait, it's 18." So, yeah, 18 films in the film festival and I'm really excited. I'm excited to watch every single one of them. Mr. McConey, is there anything you want to say for the people watching at home? Maybe, I don't know, some other play. Oh, definitely. If you're if you're watching this
at home and you were thinking, I'm going to stay home, hang out, maybe watch Netflix or something, I got to tell you, 18 original films coming from uh the students here at CHS, you definitely want to be here. Um not at home. This is the place to be tonight. And um yeah, I always tell my students, you know, whatever it is, skip the party. Um skip whatever's going on because this is the place you want to be. It's going to be very exciting tonight. Guys, please stay in tune and watch till the end. else. Uh, can I do a second? Yeah, sure. Okay, cool. Who are we here with? Oh, uh, I'm Joey Petriella. And you were very familiar. You were in the Big Time Rush last year, right? Yes, I was. Yes, I was
the producer of Big Time Rush. Oh, really? Was it you and anyone else? Ian and Omar Rosario, we were the producers. They went viral on Tik Tok, guys. And who? Gustavo was the one who noticed you guys, right? Yeah. Uh Gustav, the actual Gustavo, I forgot his name. Steven something. How was it being noticed? It was cool like seeing him like acknowledge us and whatever. It was really It was really cool. Like we were actually big time for once. What was were you guys going to make a sequel ever? Like uh we're in the works of making a sequel right now to see if it blows up again. Very excited for that. I'm sure the girls, the fans will go crazy. Is there anything you're producing? Anything you're going to be in this year? Me
and Omar, we produce the substitute teacher film. I heard a lot about that. Yeah. So, we got the first film in the film festival, which should be really uh exciting. Very exciting. Is there anything you want to share about your film? No, I think everyone will see it and uh you know, hopefully they have a little laughs and we'll be good. You know, I'm sure they will. Is there anything you want to say to the people watching at home or maybe across the world who never know? Uh, I love cats. Real. There we go, guys. I'm kind of starting to run out of questions. So, we're going to introduce. This is the paper. This is the paper that they're being given at the front desk. Right now, we have people walking in. I'm waiting to
get more people. Maybe a parent excited to see their kid on the show. So, let's get over let's go over act one. So, first we have bikers and surfers rumble. That's giving very teen beach movie which I'm very excited for. Then we have welcoming cast three seniors. The substitute teacher which was Joey who we just interviewed and Omar. Omar come here. Come here. Just talking about Mr. Omar. He's here. How are you? Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. You seem tired. Yeah. Woke up from a nap, you know. Uh really careful of senior assassin. I see you with the floaty. You better keep it more out so people to see. Guys, his mom called. Um I don't think a lot of people want to be interviewed. I'm kind of scared. Um I lost my moral support.

Oh, I'm really excited for songs in real life. Kayla, I don't know who there's Phillip. Phillip, please don't go away. I'm scared. I need Do you want to do me a favor? Do you want to search up questions on like Chant to ask? Yeah, you're fine. I think we're going to have to be like, "Hey, those are the boys I sold. Do you guys want to be interviewed?" I sold the tickets to you guys, right? You remember it was me. Good. So, I'm here with Brian, Jaden. No, I'm joking. It's Jaden. And are you guys happen
to be in the film? Are you a producer, an actor, or anything? Um, no. We're just uh here as a viewer, but um we do want to make our own film in the future and we are also supporting our friends in the films. We're also trying to like maybe like after the films we can ask for some advice, hopefully gain some advice and see if we can use it for our projects. That sounds great. And who are you guys here to support? Any films that you're excited to see? Um the Batman vs. Spider-Man and the Phillips film. I didn't even know there was a Batman vs. Spider-Man. All I'm just saying is that I came here to support some of my friends and well, see what interesting films that they're making. Why not? That's great.
We're excited to have you guys here and I hope you guys enjoy. Is there anything you want to tell the people watching at home? Um, enjoy the films. Here's some advice. Stay creative. And you guys will be expecting films from them soon in the future. I will not be the interviewer anymore. But I wish you guys the best of luck and you guys will succeed. Fist bump. Yeah, especially this one film being of Fight Club. I didn't really watch I'll be honest, I haven't seen the movie, so I think this will be a fine introduction to the both of us. Besides, we've heard great things about Fight Club, so
it should be good. I've actually never heard of it, but I'm sure you guys are very excited to watch it. Do you guys happen to be any actors or producers in any of the films? Wait, wait, wait. Repeat that. Do you happen to be any producer or actor in the film? Well, no, not really. We only just came here just to support everybody. Exactly. Is there anything you guys want to say to the live news out there watching? I don't know if there's a lot to say, but um hope this goes well and um brush your teeth, stay off drugs,

Like, I love every outfit that I wore throughout the whole film. I'm sorry I couldn't get you more options. It's You see, I'm not a boy, so like
I only had minimal options. Oh, yeah. I feel I understand. And how was it filming behind the scenes? Behind the scenes, I actually like loved like the crew like hanging out with everybody and actually filming was like really fun. How was it working with What's your face? Heaven. No, not heaven. Oh, Sabrine. Yes, her the baddie. The girl in crime for um it was actually a lot of fun. Um after she started to open up and was very open to being in the film, it was a lot of fun. The chemistry was very nice. I don't know if you knew, but me and Philip were all like they're definitely something.
