Thank you for the blessings that you give us each day in our lives. We also ask that you protect the staff, the students. Hopefully everyone's having a wonderful spring break. Please keep them under your eye. We also ask that you wrap your arms around those that need comfort, those that need peace during a difficult moment, or those that need healing. We pray that you give us wisdom and clarity through our decisions that we make as a board and as a community together. All this we pray in your name. Amen. Amen. And to the flag. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Ms. Hogan, have there been any changes to the agenda?

Yes, Madam Chair. Number six, we are postponing the meeting to the April 28th meeting. Okay. Safety Patrol trip. Okay. Do I hear an adoption of the agenda motion? So moved. Second. It's been moved and seconded. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Motion passes. I would like to welcome everyone tonight and we are going to start the meeting with Mr. Lott. Good evening. This is uh basically the meeting where we review what we introduced last time. Uh you know, there were were no public comments that I've been aware of on any of these uh proposed changes. Uh so, unless there's any questions from the board, um we'll just table this until the next meeting and then ask for approval. Okay. I'm good. Thank you. Thank you. So hopefully you see this attachment. And next on

our agenda is Madam Superintendent. Thank you, Madam Chair. You will have attached the board meeting dates for the 26th 27th. I'll just wait until you pull those up on the attachments. You have option one Yes, you have option one and you have option two that was attached. Yes. Just let me know when you when you review these, um, I know we have a board meeting of course during spring break. So, that's the first thing I wanted to mention. If you look at 2027, it would have fallen on spring break, but at this time, if you came upon an issue this time with spring break, you you have the opportunity now to pick alternate dates that Miss Angela has marked. And number two, going over the calendar, if you look at the dates upcoming when Mrs.

Lake goes over the budget and the TRIM notice, for the past couple years, we've been missing just a couple and making sure that we have quorum. So, if you can make note of number one, the upcoming dates for TRIM and going over the budget and put those on your calendar now. That would be wonderful, so we make sure that no one is absent during that time. And then number two, you can decide now if you would like to keep the board meeting next year, 2027, during spring break, or if you'd like to change that and pick the alternate option. I'd be conflicted, I mean, I got kids in school, I mean, they're in spring break right now. But I mean, it really don't matter. I mean, I think Our regular board meeting times are the

second and fourth Tuesday of the month. And it always falls on spring break week. But then option two, next year, for just for that one month, it would be the first and third Tuesday. So that way we would not have it during spring break. So option one is during spring break, option two is the week before spring break. Council? And so I would just say that I never want to make my issue your issue. I I would have conflicts on that first and third, and so look at getting coverage if we went to the first and third. I might not be able to sit with you. It almost suits us. Um I'm fine. If I had to do something, I mean, I could probably do something for them. Something, you know, I'm fine. I understand.

Yeah. We'll just keep it. >> Which option? I'm fine with option one, I guess. We'll just keep it like it is. And option option one, you'll be here, David, is that what you said? For the second and fourth, yes. Okay. For 2027. For 2027. And then just please make sure you mark the dates when Mrs. Lake goes over the trim and the and the budgetary items in her workshops and such. Do I have a motion to approve option one? So moved. Second. It's been moved and seconded. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Motion passes. Now it's the time for public comments. Do we have any tonight? Seeing none, we will move to a motion to approve the minutes. So moved. Second. It's been moved and seconded. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Motion

passes. And now on to the consent agenda. We'll start with you, Ms. Campbell. Do you have any questions? No, I do not. Ms. Baxter? No, no questions. What about Mr. Whitehurst? No questions. And all my questions were answered as well. So, do I have a motion to approve the consent and finance agenda? So moved. Second. It's been moved and seconded. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Motion passes. And now it's time for the superintendent's comments. Thank you, Madam Chair. Um just a couple highlights that I'd like to hit on. Um last week I was able to attend the You did? Yeah, I did. Good. at Joyce Bullock Elementary the national AVID showcase and um Mrs. Ms. Tanya is in the audience and I know she did a lot of work for that, but I

also know going through the classrooms that the teachers and the admin you could tell how much work that they put into that and it was quite successful um that day. And then they had a student panel and a teacher panel and the student panel I don't think I'll ever forget the student panel. There are some uh students that just will say anything. Just but they're It was wonderful and a lot of work went into it, so it was very successful and I wanted all of you to know that. Um, I was able to make it to a few proms and I think some district staff made it to a couple proms, but they were beautiful and successful and I know the kids had a good time. Um, lots going on at the same time, so

it's hard to make every function. And then a big shout-out to Breezy. But Breezy, I will tell everyone on Easter he actually traveled down to Yankeetown school and looked at some damage from a quick storm that went through, but you know, that's just commitment and appreciate that. Made sure that it was safe for the kids to go back the next morning that Monday morning and then also had the team down there um, cleaning up the entire campus during the day. And I think it was done in a day, right Breezy? It was done in a day that following day. So, it means a lot you know on a holiday like that that you picked up and went down there, so I appreciate that. I was uh very excited to attend both book battles, the elementary

and the middle high school. And um even though our favorite eagle is not here, I will make sure that I let you know that Bronson Elementary School and Bronson Middle High School were the winners at each of these battles. But all of our students did a great job. They did. It's amazing. Um, and just to see them sitting there talking about books and reading, excited about it. It's wonderful. Um we had our art festival this weekend in Cedar Key. It was It was good, but it was not well attended. We didn't have the crowds that we usually do. Um there was a lot going on in Gainesville and surrounding areas. I think that had something to do with it. But we were there, all all the school booths were there, and and um teachers, students,

parents all involved in helping make some extra money for our clubs and and things going on at school. It's always great to see how the kids really come through and get involved with that. Um and that's it. Okay, that's it. Um well, at Chiefland Elementary they begin testing this coming week, and they're also going to have teacher appreciation week. So they're hopeful that they'll have some community support for that. Um at the middle high school, they have a new PBIS um program called busy, and the students are able to earn currency um through grades, behavior, and things such as that, attendance. And then Miss Story's ESE classroom, it they're the ones that get the the prizes together or the the things that the kids can buy. So um it sounds like it's going to be

a good program, and we're anxious to see how that's going to work. And they're winding down their year, but things are going well. Thank you, Miss Watson. I don't have a whole lot to say. I know I think the baseball team starts districts tonight. Wilson had a prom, Mamma Mia, Greece kind of thing whatever a couple weeks ago, about 3 weeks ago I guess now. And it all went well. Everybody made it back safe. That's the more post board thing. Um and um I guess everybody knows spring break. We're getting ready for the kind of last about seven weeks I guess left of school. So I think everybody's recharged and ready to come back and hit the ground running. That's all I have. Thank you. I don't have a lot either. I wanted to also

thank Breezy for going down to Yankeetown on Easter. Um what was that? A little mini tornado? That was crazy. Right. Thank you. Um and Yankeetown had their big basket auction with a huge turnout. Um very successful night. And they continue to focus on attendance, which is been a big push and super excited the kids just to get a little reward and want to come to school is always worth a big deal. So that's all I have. So until next meeting, meeting is adjourned.
