God, thank you for the blessings you have bestowed on Levy County Schools. Continue to watch over us. Watch over our administrators, our teachers, our staff, and all of our students this morning. Lord, we ask for your wisdom. We know that the decisions we make affect the safety, learning, and success of all students. Help us, Lord, to serve these students well. We ask for this in your name. Amen. >> Amen. >> I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All right, we will I'll entertain a motion to adopt our agenda. So move second. Have >> a motion and second. All those in favor, please say I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. Good morning
everyone. >> Glad to have y'all here. We're going to get started right away with our superintendent highlights. Madam superintendent, are we ready? >> Um I think so. Almost. Mrs. Gil is zooming in with us. >> She will be doing the presentation. >> Okay. This is Mrs. Gil from Cedar Key School. And we have on our agenda for a proclamation for DECA, but we will we will hear from her first. And I think she has some students ready to go. >> Take it away. can't hear you. >> As my kids are yelling at me that we're on mute. Um, hi everybody. [laughter] Do you guys have a chance to also see the presentation or is it just us talking? >> It's you talking and I'm talking right now. >> So, can you share the presentation from
your side? >> Oh goodness. I don't even have it set up that way. Um, I do have the opportunity, but I do not want to delay your time because I know that the kids are in short demand because the bell is going to be ringing shortly. So, is it okay if we just talk through it then we can share the presentation to the board members? >> Absolutely. >> Sure. >> Perfect. Okay. So, we do have it over on the screen. So, if all of a sudden you see my eyes going to left, it's because I am figuring out where we're at. But, um, hi everybody. Thank you guys so much for having us today. Uh this was a project made of love because year three students have all gone to student le. So I kind
of get to chill in the background and they are putting everything together. So what I want to do is say thank you guys all for being here. Um and we appreciate this. Uh so what I'm going to do is I'm going to introduce our officers. This is the first year ever we've had a full officer team. Uh and it's really exciting. So, our executive president this year is Claire Ryan. Our executive vice president [clears throat] is Fischer Collins. Um, the student that is our only senior as an officer who I love to annoy the most, Mr. Brody Gil as our VP of finance. Uh, we have a Lambertson who's career development. Uh, Bella Bishop who is literally on our other computer right now getting us all um slides together and doing our social media and
marketing is Bella Bishop. Uh we have Audrey Downey who's our VP of hospitality and then we also have Tessa Sharp who's at her college class right now and she is our VP of leadership. So at this point I'm going to pass it all on to our students. Um thank you guys again. Hi, I'm Audrey and I'm the VP hospitality and I'm currently a threeyear hospitality student. I've been fortunate enough to have already attended ICDC htm two times. This year we are ready to focus on ICDC in Atlanta and we also focus on school engagement activities like fall festival PTO meetings and also teacher gives away to show our support to our school. We also want to engage in community activities to present our proclamation to the school board and city of Cedar Key and participate
in coastal cleanup in the UFS peanut butter challenge. We also want to support our community and do things like our annual food drive which this year we have collected 255 items thanks to our community. >> [laughter] >> Hi, my name is Fisher Collins. I am the executive vice president of this year's CKS DECA chapter as well as another third-year hospitality student. Every year, our chapter proudly sets up a booth at the Cedar Key Fall Festival, bringing color, laughter, and school spirit to the heart of our community. Our booth has become a local favorite where kids line up every year to pick out and wear their favorite temporary tattoos. For us, it's not about making money. We don't even charge anything. We do it because we love seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and being part
of something that brings everyone together. The festival gives us a chance to connect with families, show what DEC is all about, and give back to the community that always supports us. It's a small gesture, but one that means a lot to us and the people of Cedar Key. >> Hi, I'm Claire Ryan and this year's Cedar Key DECA executive president. While I'm not directly in the hospitality program, I'm in business classes and have earned my entrepreneurship and small business industry certification, which makes DECA a great fit for me. One of our favorite sectors of hospitality is the volunteer section. In 2024, our DECA adopter headed over to Gainesville, Florida in order to lend a few extra hands to the Helping Hands Project, a nonprofit organization that benefit that donates bags of foods to many pantries
across Levy, Gilchrist, and Elro County. With the help of our chapter, we were able to pack over 200 bags in just a few hours. We created assembly lines and had to take a step back and realize the amount of steps it goes to for the nonprofit. Once we're done, we were given some sandwiches and an hour at a park, which allowed us to feel like kids again. The helping hands project this year was to collect crayon boxes, and we successfully collected over 110 boxes. We also plan on spending the afternoon at with this year at the Sudaki food pantry cleaning and organizing their space to directly help our community. >> Hi, my name is Adio and I am a Seduki DECA VP of career development. I am also a third-year hospitality student and have attended
ICDC two times in HTM. My biggest struggle of being in DECA is that Miss Nicole has taken me to Disneyland but will not take me to Disney World. Hopefully will continue to work hard so I can achieve my goal. [clears throat] DECA CDC stands for Career Development Conference which is equivalent to our state competition. Each year students compete on the district level with schools in Marian, Gilchrist, Elatcha, and Dixie County. For the past three years, we've had students compete to earn their spots at ICDC or have been able to go on stage to earn a chapter award. At CDC, students are able to collaborate with our districts as well as vote for a new state representation teams. Last year was exciting because we had three students earn their way to ICDC through competition. These students
were beyond excited and allowed a record eight students to attend our international event. Hi, it's me again and it's time for me to explain our 2025 ICDC trip. This year's conference was not only nerve-wracking because we are losing our knowledgeable seniors, but also because we got a feel of what it would be like for our current juniors to step up. Our trip was memorable. We got to learn and trade pins like never before. My first ICDC conference was the scariest thing ever. But that was before I got out of my comfort zone and actually enjoyed talking to people I've never met before. From observation, I saw my chapter be themselves, work hard, and also have fun at the same time. Also, looking closely at the middle picture, you can see that I have the most
amount of tins, not like anyone's counting or anything. Hi, it's Elijah again. I would like to tell you about a major event that we get to take part in every year. With the International Coastal Cleanup Project being such a large event across the world, our small town may only seem like a small factor. However, when it comes to making an impact our town, every small piece of trash can make a world of a difference for everyday community members. Coastal Cleanup was Saturday, September 20th, and it is quite surprising how many teenagers we can get up before 9:00 a.m. to help the community. As a chapter, we go to the park, which is the head of operations. Everybody is assigned to a different part of Cedar Key and in previous years we have done an entire
street. This year we did a walk trail and found a surprising amount of trash. Every year is a unique experience and we are excited to see what we will find next year. >> Thank you Miss Linda for attending. >> Hi, it's me again. This year marks TK Stea's third annual canned food drive. A weeklong event where we come together as a school and community to collect canned goods for those in need. What started as a small idea to make a difference has grown into a true tradition for of generosity and community spirit. In our first year, we were thrilled to collect 200 cans. Last year was an unforgettable one after devastating hurricane that basically ruined our whole town and the fire that destroyed our advisor's restaurant. The outpouring of that year was very impressive. We
probably had close to a thousand cans. And then this year we collected almost 275 cans, beating our first year. [laughter] Thank you everyone for their kindness and resilience of our Hi, it's a lot. It's been a while. Since we do our annual food drive, UFI has asked if we would like to partner with them for the peanut butter challenge. Each year we document collected items and donate directly to our local food pantry with while spreading the word of how food insecurity can be common in rural locations. Last year we collected only 31 jars of peanut butter while this year we are already at 331 jars of peanut butter for a total of 5,369 ounces. >> 69. This presentation is to inform everyone on what our goals are and where our dedication is. We are hoping
that what our DECA chapter is doing is aligning with the school board's mission and that our chapter increases positive engagement in our community. We have a lot of exciting upcoming events that we put on, some of which are hosted annually by our chapter. And this year we have a returning event. Our first event is our annual surf and turf dinner on November 14th. Following that, we will be hosting and returning an event that our chapter has not put on in 5 years, a fishing tournament, which will be the following day, November 15th. Also, in March, we are hosting two separate events, which are the spring barbecue dinner and the cornhole tournament, along with our annual sponsorship drives. We have also been invited to attend the HTM competition in February for the third year straight. In
March, we will have our state competition with ICDC in April. We look forward to keeping the school board informed on our progress and please let us know if there's anyone who would like to attend as a guest. Thank you guys so much. If you have any questions, the team is here. Um, and I am so proud of these kids. Every single year they get braver and let me do less and they take over the heavy lifting. >> Thank you guys. >> Thank you. >> Also, if you or your husband has a boat, there are plenty of entries for our fishing tournament. >> Yes. Feel free to sign up, please. >> That was a great job. And before you sign off, unless the board members would like to say anything or ask any questions, I'd like
you to stay on while the proclamation is read. Do you have time for that? >> Absolutely. >> Okay. Would you tell the board what DECA stands for? I have it written down, but I think they'd like to hear it from you. >> You guys can do it. Go ahead. distributors. What does it stand for? It doesn't. >> So, [laughter] DECA doesn't stand for DECA anymore. There's no acronym. Um, in the past, it had the acronym, but they've dropped it. Currently, DECA stands for marketing, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and finance sectors, which is kind of just Cedar Key and a little purple bow. >> Okay. Proclamation has DECA in it. Are you okay with that? >> Absolutely. >> Okay. Do you have any questions for the students? Great. >> That's a lot of peanut butter. >> Yeah, a
lot of peanut butter. >> Okay. >> First virtual presentation since I've been here. >> THAT'S [laughter] GREAT. >> THAT'S RIGHT. >> ALL RIGHT. November 2025 has been designated DECA month. And whereas the mission of DECA is to prepare emerging leader and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. And DECA's guiding principles are designed to explain how DECA fulfills their mission. And DECA is a student organization that encourages the development of business, marketing, and leadership skills in high school, pardon me, through classroom instruction, student conferences, and competitive events. And DECA enhances the co-curricular education of members through a comprehensive program that integrates into classroom instruction, applies learning, connects to business, and promotes competition. and DECA's activities assist in the development of academically prepared community oriented professionally responsible experienced leaders and DECA's attributes and values describe the
organization's priorities and standards including competence, innovation, integrity and teamwork. Deca month now therefore I Tamara M. Boille, Levy County School Board Superintendent, urge all citizens to become familiar with the services and benefits offered by the DECA chapter of Cedar Key High School and to support and participate in programs to prepare students for college and professional careers. And it will be signed and sealed this 28th day of October, 2025. CONGRATULATIONS [applause] We need a motion to approve this proclamation. >> So move second. I >> have a motion to second. All those in favor say I. >> I. >> Any oppose? Motion carries. >> It's official. [laughter] >> Thank you guys so much. I'm not crying. >> Thank you. [laughter] >> Thank you guys. We appreciate you guys doing all this for us. Have a great day.
You too. You too. >> That was great. >> That was very good. All right. We'll move on to our uh what's next? Request approval to advertise to adopt. Mr. >> Mr. Lot. >> Good morning. >> Morning sir. >> We had a new batch of model policies that came to us from the effect. Uh there were actually three in total. We reviewed those three and one of them was not needed because it was a correction from a previous one and we didn't we had already corrected it. We didn't need to correct that uh on administration of medication. There was also a policy use of electric bikes, ebikes on campus and it was not a required policy and at this point we've double checked with our admin and that is not a problem believe it or not
in Ley County. Electric bikes are not a fad yet. So if need be later on we will add a new policy on electric bikes but right now we're we're good. Uh that leaves us with the final one which was uh we're going to we're going to call it uh board polic 44. Uh, this came out of House Bill 443 and revisions to Florida statutes 106.15. Uh, basically participation of home education, private school, virtual school students in extracurricular activities and intercolastic athletics. Um this has been going on in our district for many years and in the past we have addressed this within our extracurricular policy that is embedded within the student code of conduct. Um but we have been complying with all the requirements of this proposed uh new policy uh for many years. Um so
um but I did feel like it was time to move uh forward with a more formal presentation of those things uh that we're doing in regard to these areas. And uh I think because of the the recent emphasis by the state legislature on school choice, it benefits us to go ahead and put it out there front and center in a board policy. And again, we're already complying with that. uh you see the policy before you and at this time unless there are questions uh I would ask for a vote by the board for permission to advertise this new policy. Of course we will follow the normal routine where we would review it the next board meeting and then uh I believe the first meeting in December because we don't have one on the second week.
Right. >> We only have one meeting in November and December >> and so we would actually approve this at our first meeting in December if there are no changes or alterations. [clears throat] >> I have a motion to advertise. >> I think it's great. But could I ask you a question? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Um, so where it says that um which school they want to participate in, it could be either the school that's appointed or the school of their choice. That's how it is. So really, it's when would it be appointed and when would it be school of their choice? all of those uh that language basically comes out of some of the requirements that are put forth by the Florida High School Athletic Association that dictate that. Um it also reverts back to
our control open enrollment. Um and so >> basically um >> so what happens now I mean what what usually happens with student just can apply at any high school in Levy County if they wish to play for that high. Is that correct? Yes, >> that's pretty much it. Yes. >> But they can't be at one school and play for another >> right if that school doesn't offer >> That's right. That's right. There was that note in there. That's right. >> Yeah. >> When we have had offered to school, >> particularly a student that goes to a private school that do not offer those opportunities, then they are allowed to basically go to another school that does. >> Yeah. So, that that was interesting. I didn't realize that. >> We have a motion. Do we have
a second? Second. >> A motion and a second. All those in favor, please say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. Thank you. We move on to our legislative platform. Madam superintendent. >> Yes. Thank you, Mr. Chair. Um, you have in your board docs or diligent docs. >> Get it right. >> Diligent. Um you have what we did last year for the topics for the legislative um budget workshop that we had. And as you all know and district knows that we did get the appropriations for the roofing project and due to your due diligence when Mr. Asbel during our workshop asked to increase that amount. Um I believe that helped. Uh going up to Tallahassee I believe helped >> and having some of those um appointments and meetings and putting that verbiage in front
of them on the one pager helped. But we were awarded the 475,000. So it was pretty much half of what the initial appropriations was asked for. Then of course it was school safety, mental health and required instruction. Um we can discuss a little today. We don't have to. I just wanted to bring this in front of you again so you're thinking about it and we can also look at hopefully getting up to Tallahassee prior to the session like we did. I think that was a lot more successful than trying to do it at the day of the legislature because everybody's in there, >> you know, and you can't get appointments as you know. >> So, when does the session start? >> Jan January 28th. >> Well, 28th is the legislative day, so a week before
that. >> A week before that. So, if there's anything that you'd like to talk about now that might be an objective on this list, by all means, we can probably cross off the roofing project, >> right? And if you know of something right now that you'd like to put on the list and we can >> I think it it would be helpful to have another workshop and I would like to include the team because I think that they may have we've discussed this. They may have some ideas >> okay >> that need to be included. I will look at that >> and I'll look at possibly getting somebody to zoom in again prior to that time and I I can be in touch with each of you individually as to calendars and so forth. >>
So listing some ideas from staff before workshop, you know, that way we just have some stuff. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you, Mr. Chair. >> Mrs. Wade, he's going to come talk to us about the exciting world of insurance. >> I just appreciate you putting a little bit of buffer between the students and me. It's always [laughter] >> hard to follow. >> Um, okay. I think what we've done in the past, I'd like to do it again, is we'll do like the um voluntary benefits and then we'll do the health insurance separately. So, kind of a couple motions. Um, so Morgan's helping me out. I do a little fancy presentation. >> Um, so most of it is good news. Um, there's no increase to the life insurance that's basic
and voluntary. That is except for when you hit the magical age of like 40, 45, 50, 55, 60. Those are just that's just the world of insurance. They're going to get increased. But um the basic is not anyway. There won't be increases. No increase to the Texas life, which is a permanent life insurance that an employee can sign up for and take it with them when they leave. Okay. Um, no increase to our hospital indemnity. Um, what that is is if somebody is hospitalized, they sign up for this um for more than 24 hours, they can get a $1,500 reimbursement from the company, which matches our deductible. >> So, we do that. No increase to AFL. Um, no increase to our disability insurance. America, that is a long-term disability. We don't have a short-term, so
it's a long-term disability. There is a caveat on there. Um, sometimes we can get a maternity coverage for a shorter period of time. Um, but most of the time it's long term. Um, sorry, I'm fighting a cold, too. Um, >> what's the athletic cover then? >> It's cancer and accident insurance. We don't have a disability with them. >> Okay. So um but we have the cancer and the accident with them. Um there is no increase to the vision insurance with Humanana. We have two Dell plans. We have an HMO. Um and that is just a basic plan and there's no increase to that. The PO there is [clears throat] a 6.44% increase. That's kind of a weird number but that's what they figured out. Um we did get some quotes from other companies. Initially they're
they were a little bit lower but when you looked at the benefits and offerings it really was not gonna and honestly it might have been a slight um slightly cheaper for the employee but the insurance committee decided with the if we move and all the aggravation that employee has to go with it's really not worth it. So we decided we will just keep with what we have and this is based on claims. So, um, any questions about that part? >> Okay, motion. >> We need a motion to >> approve these, uh, rates. So, move. >> Second. >> Motion, a second. Any questions? Question. All those in favor, please say I. >> Any oppose? >> All right. So, on to the health insurance. As you know, last couple years, we have been able to um slide
by with no increases. A lot of that was due to good money and those kind of things. Um, as you know, everything prices are increasing. Um, and so we've seen a a huge increase overall, we had a a large heart and kidney transplant that hit our plan. So looking at what the costs are and what we anticipate, um, at this point we're about $800,000 over in claims compared to last year. That's huge, but it happens. Um, so we're suggesting a 14% increase. We in our negotiations, we did agree that the employee would for employee only insurance, sorry, would take on up to $10 per month, the employee side. We um looked at what this would do. We saw like and we did not negotiate this. We only negotiated on the employee only, but also we
didn't want to pass along too many increases to the employee or spouse. family children coverage. Um because as we know everybody's expenses are going up. So that's what we decided. Um that's the board coverage. This will add about $400,000 to the board side for this school year increase in unbudgeted um expenditures that we weren't expecting. Um but this is where we are. Not what I not the information I'd like to share with you, but um this is what we have. So any questions on that? >> So the 14% represents $12512 a month increase >> For the board for the board >> for employee I'm speaking. >> Yeah. >> And then so really it' be $13512 but the employees picking up $10. >> That's correct. >> What is the rate for employee only if you know
top >> like the what they're paying? >> Yeah. Yeah. They're paying right now at 61.88 a paycheck. We take that out of 20 checks. So it'll go up to 66.88 a paycheck. So they pay um one time in August at the end of the month twice a month. September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May, and then once in June. So it it equals out to 10 months a year, but they are covered for the entire year. Do >> you know what the board portion is total? >> Um lost. >> No, right now per for the employee only it is um $420.70 a paycheck. So then you add the 125 or you have that. So maybe right under $500 a paycheck from the board side >> thousand bucks a month >> about $1,000
a month. >> And I know that we had talked about when is the last time that there has been an increase. >> Yeah, it's been several years. Any increase that has been done in the past couple years, the board has picked it up. So there's been it's been four years maybe more that the employee has seen any increase. >> Even when there has been an increase in the board picked it up they picked up the entire increase for the employee only the spouse the child the family they picked up everything. So >> yeah, just not on the employee side. It's been several years since the employee >> the the board has picked up the increases. Yeah. >> And unfortunately I think um a lot of other districts and everybody else are seeing increases >> this
year. Okay. And we need a motion to approve this. >> Yes. >> Do we have a motion to approve >> the health insurance proposal? >> So second. >> Have a motion and a second. Any more questions, comments? >> All those in favor, please say I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. >> Thank you. One, we will do open enrollment the week of November 10th. Um, so we will have people in the schools helping Um, one little thing I did want to sh um share with the board, a Citrus County Rural Health Center opened um earlier this year and so they are a federally qualified health center. I got that out. Um, which means they can offer lower cost prescriptions. And so this would be an opportunity for our members. We would pay a little cost for
them to go get established, but they could do mail order prescriptions, which would be about half the cost is what our is being right now. Um, so I'm looking, you know, we're have to we'll probably have to do anou and things like that, but that could be a cost savings, especially on higher price prescriptions. >> So, I'll present something more to the board >> as we get closer. This was just I know that's really tiny information. [laughter] >> We can blow it up here, >> but that is just our calculations on what we came up with the 14%. Okay. Um, that's it. >> thank you. >> All right. We'll now welcome any public comments. Any have any [music] thing to say to the board? Did we get any emails or anything? >> No, Mr. Chairman.
>> All right. Next, we'll move on to the approval of the minutes. If everyone's had a chance to read over those minutes, I'll entertain a motion to approve the minutes from the last meeting. >> So, move. >> Motion. >> Second. >> We got a second. Any questions, comments? All those in favor, please say I. I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. We'll now move to our consent agenda. Uh, Mrs. Campbell, >> any questions or concerns? >> No questions. >> Mrs. Bter, >> my question is for answer. >> Mr. White, >> my question. >> Mr. Clemensy. Well, I wish I had a question just to break up the monotony of that, but I don't. So I will entertain a motion to approve the consent agenda. So move >> a motion second. All those in favor please say
I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. We now move to our believe our superintendent's comments. >> Madam superintendent. >> Thank you, Mr. Chair. Um I just I know some of the board members will add to this. I won't um talk about it for long, but I some of the fall festivals are taking place at the schools and they are a lot of fun. That's [laughter] I'll let you extend that. Uh we have been having some learning walkthroughs. I'm sure the board has heard at the schools with district and they are going very well. Not only the learning walks, but after the learning walks, we are able to sit down with administration and have a little comprehensive needs assessment portfolio meeting. Um, meaning that we are looking at their individual school improvement plan, their SIT
plan, and their goals, where they are now, and listening to admin lay out their plan of what they are going to do for growth and proficiency. And we are looking at that after each testing period. So, we're going to keep that moving. and it's it's been very successful. So, I wanted all of you to know that together as a whole and we'll continue to do that. >> She kicked me. >> Okay. [laughter] >> Wait, she just kicked me. She's just mean. >> And >> did I mess you up? >> Yes, you did. But that's okay. That's all I need. If I remember something at the end, I'll raise my hand. Hey, for that Miss Clemensy, we're gonna start with you. >> Okay, [laughter] on your board comments. >> One more meeting sitting next to you,
by the way. >> This has been the best year of your life. And you [laughter] know, >> Yankee Town fall festival was last Friday and Red Ribbon Week is this week. And good luck to all the teachers with Halloween following on a Friday. I know it's probably a rough week. Um that I love the DECA presentation. I love that kids that have gone through so much in Cedar Key have such servant hearts and giving back and they're raising money for other people. I just think that is super special. Um and I will let you >> Thank you, ma'am. Mr. White. >> All right. Um certainly have a big volleyball game tonight um for a chance for Wilson that go to the final four. So I don't know if everybody comes out and see that and
hopefully I said made it probably about three years ago three years two or three years ago. So that's big u football team they pulled a squeaker off against Newberry last week. So >> yeah 14 nothing at halftime 154. >> So >> anyway so we got the final home game this week and see what the playoffs they tank is. Uh the Wilston Joyce Bulock and Wilson Elementary had their carnival last week. Heard some people some went to the scary part. You know there's like a at the a haunted house and you can either go the scary part and go lights on. So I heard the scary was pretty scary. My daughter went and then FFA there national convention this week. Um Annabelle's there was representing the state and then the rest of we have Tate Bailey
and Collins McGawan going for school. those flying out today and then be back Friday. So, got a little contingent from Willist up there in Indianapolis. So, but so far so good. That's all. And thank you for the deco. Like I said, Miss Clemensi said the service heart, you know, servant heart of, you know, been through a lot and, you know, just shows that, you know, you start young and, you know, kind of continues on, you know. So, that's all I have. Thank you. >> Thank you, sir. Mrs. Backter. >> Um, I too enjoyed that presentation. I think Miss Gil is doing a fine job with those kids. Um, last week, Chief Elementary had their fall festival and the superintendent and I were um asked to come and judge the costume contest and that was fun.
Sometimes we weren't sure what the costume was even after they told us who they were supposed to be. Tik Tok. >> It was great, >> right? I guess so. But it was great. It was a huge success. They had an incredible turnout. Also, um they had a contest of our mayor that um Mayor Lissa John's um had started and they had over a hundred entries and um so it was it was really good. It was a fifth grader, a fifth grade student that won. And they're trying to put a strong emphasis on um on reading and for the younger ones, site word recognition and all at at the elementary school. And they have a little program with the reading coach called cookies with the coach. So if they can read their site words, then they
can have cookies with the reading coach. So that's going well. over at the high school, they um had their first PBIS event which um you know encourages good behavior and and that went well. 045benefits they have from the community as a reciprocal uh partnership which is which is great and Nicole is doing an excellent job. Um our uh parent conference night is November 4th. Always love to go visit on those nights because I get to see parents and believe it or not we, you know, usually it's just elementary parents that you'll see out there, but more and more we have uh a show from middle and high school. Got a couple competing up there on some things and uh >> they're driving and checking out things on the way. >> Oh, yeah. Road tripping. >> Road trip. They saw the Coca-Cola world. >> Oh, nice. Atlanta. >> In Atlanta. And try different. >> One told me, he said, "I got you a uh got you a magnet so you don't have to make the trip." I said I appreciate [laughter] appreciate that. Uh other than that, one more meeting and then you get relief from me and it'll be a good day for us all. [laughter] Get there. Nothing else. We're going to adjourn to Chland
