003written notice was also provided to The Sentinel the Newark Star Ledger the home news and Tribune and the municipal clerk of East Brunswick all Board of Education meetings with the exception of executive session discussions are videotaped for later broadcast individuals who speak at the board's public meeting should be aware of these videotaping rules good evening we're going to start off tonight with the superintendent report Dr veski thank you president Becker I don't have a formal report but I just wanted to mention to the community uh in light of the the consistent messaging we're putting out about um positive cids within our school environment uh if if you have not been contacted personally through contact tracing there is nothing else that you need to do you do not need to worry about whether your child has
004been exposed potentially to somebody else School our contact tracing is pretty comprehensive uh and we have the ability through technology and software to also identify within our school environment how many how many students that individual has been in contact with whether they're a virtual student or a hybrid student what days they rotate in and out so um I've gotten a couple phone calls concerns after messaging um you know asking if their child was in contact with this child that I'm identifying in my message uh uh but I just want to assure the community we do very thorough contact tracing and I try very hard to keep that messaging uh around the two o'clock time frame so people understand when that message com comes through that's exactly what that message is about there will be opportunities
005that we will get information later in the day uh and I try to message it the same day so we're not holding information overnight uh and communicate communicating it the next day so just wanted to give that out for information Dr veski any reminders about deadlines for parents or are we no we have we closed the uh window of opportunity to change learning models so we have those in process right now um February 17th start of the new new marking period okay thank you this brings us to the good of the cause of the public members of the public May provide comment at this meeting through Zoom by entering the URL meeting ID and password provided on the screen in front of you in order to be recognized use the chat chat feature select the

008apologize because I'm on my phone because I couldn't get here in time um I just wanted to quickly say that I went to the Indian culture Society emerging leaders uh play read through it was amazing um I'll give you more information next time because I know we're here for close session but it's something I actually want to bring up because it would be something nice for the school Community to get to see they did a readr of the play for the young playright um Sophia pizaro who is a 11th grader at the high school and she wrote a play and between a couple of nth graders and a couple of 11th graders they acted it out and did a readr on zoom and it was something you should all see so amazing talent in the
