They are not people. And then on just That'll do it except for my ears. Thank you. >> You're welcome. Mr. here. I don't have the question. >> I mean, that's what else It is now 5:00. I call this meeting to order and our invocation this evening will be done by Mr. James Highland. Let's pray. Father, we thank you once again for the gift of a new day. We thank you for bringing us safely through it and safely here. We ask that you continue to bless this school district and its parents and teachers and especially students whom we all served. And bless this board and its members as they deliberate and work and discuss the business of the district. We thank you for your presence with us and ask that by that presence you sanctify this

proceeding and make us aware that you are with us not just now but as we leave this place ask that you take us safely home in Jesus name. Amen. >> Amen. Amen. Thank you Mr. We are now ready for our pledge. Uh we have two students from Bees, Carson and Kase. of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Thank you, Carson and Kase. and the parents. Thank you parents for bringing them over. Bye bye bye. >> Thank you Dr. Lou. We get it together. We've been here since 12:00 today. Thank you. We are now ready for roll call and you can let the records uh indicate that we are all present and have been present. >> We

need a motion to adopt the uh October 21st, 2025 agenda as presented. >> Madam Chair, I move that the agenda be adopted as presented. >> Second. a motion and it's been motioned and second. So, let's vote. Thank you very much. Next, we have approval of minutes. We need a motion to approve the September 16, 2025 minutes. >> I make a motion to approve the September 16th, 2025 minutes as presented. >> I second that motion. Okay. It's been motioned. It's been second. Is there any discussion? If there's no discussion, we'll vote by show of hand. Okay. Hands have it. Uh we are now ready for our financial ritual. >> Good evening everyone. >> Good evening. >> Tonight I have the financial report for September 2025. And with this report, the first quarter of the fiscal year

is complete if you can believe it. >> If you would please turn to page one of your packet. Um, total revenues as of September 30th, 2025 were 5,541,78. We are 25% complete with the fiscal year and that is only 4.63% of your budgeted revenues and you can expect to see those revenues increase drastically after the beginning of the calendar year. The next page shows expenditures. Total expenditures as of September 30th, 2025 were $18,315,396. That does represent 22.25% of your general fund budget. And again, 25% of the fiscal year has been completed. So when comparing the two, spending is in line with completion of the fiscal year. So that is a good thing. The next page shows general fund balance sheet as of September 30th, 2025. Total assets were 283 million865,272 with total liabilities and fund

equity equaling the same amount. The next page shows the changes in general fund equity. End of period general fund equity as of September 30th, 2025 is $281,740,43. The next page shows investments in all funds as of September 30th, 2025. Total investments were $270,549,435.88. The next nine pages represent your purchase order incumbrance report. This report is cumulative through September 30th. And these are your open purchases. These are things that have been obligated for payment by the board of education, but we have not actually made payment yet. Any questions about the purchase order incumbrance report? >> I just saw something that was interesting. >> Okay. Okay. >> When it's an exorbitant amount, >> okay, >> of course it comes to our attention. >> Sure. >> And when I looked at it, I knew it had to be

for materials, uh, supplies or something like that. >> Mhm. >> And of course, that large amount was for the Yansy bus sales. >> Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. And those are the buses. That's right. >> Yes, ma'am. And that is a large number. You are correct. >> A large number. You're talking about 1 million to go on. >> Yes. Yes. >> That was a large amount. That caught my attention. And that is actually a little bit uh less than your budget figure. So that came in a little bit less for now at least. >> Thank you. >> And your next uh several pages at the end represent your vendor activity report and these are cumulative $5,000 by vendor and this is for the month of September only and these are actually checks and payments that went

out the door. Are there any questions about the financial report? >> Question. Madam chair, >> I move that the financial report be accepted and approved by this time. >> Thank you. Need a second. >> I second. >> Okay. Motion and second that we accept the financial report. Let's vote by show of hands. Okay. Thank you very much. >> Thank you. Alison, did you want to say anything about the B item B? >> I'd love to. I won't take too much of your time. Okay. Just want to bring to your attention that excuse me, three line items have been added to your current 2026 admin and support salary schedule. Yeah, >> these positions were already approved by you and the scales just needed to be updated. We wanted to give you the courtesy of receiving the

information first and if you go online anytime midm morning you should see that update on the website. >> Okay. >> Any questions? >> Thank you. >> Okay. We have no public participation at this time and we are now ready for old business and which states the fiber ring process. The last report was received October 14, 2025. At that time the ring uh was reported at 89% completed and that was an estimated at 139.37 and of the 152.59 total. Okay. >> And that's all there is. I'd like to keep you all updated as I receive updates from the commission because remember we donated a significant amount of funds for that project. So okay, >> that's our update for October. for those areas like ours for example. I I think we're pretty complete out there because what

is the percentage for the county now? Do you recall? >> 89% completely >> because people are not coming online. >> So that means that I can get rid of individual things now. >> Right. Right. >> Thank you, Dr. M. >> I hope so. That means somebody's going to save some money now. >> Okay. Early head start with us. >> Hello everyone. >> I'm going to present to you our October uh budget report. So we'll just start uh with the funded enrollment which is at 94 and our actual enrollment we are full. We're at 94. Our center and homebased uh children's age ranges are there. So it shows you a breakdown of each classroom and their numbers. Um and we're at 94 there. Average daily attendance for the month has been 87. Our number on our

waiting list, we just have one student on there. Um number of transitions, we have 12 three-year-olds right now that will uh tr that are preparing to transfer to transition to Head Start. Um number of pregnant women, we have nine in our program. Our health check up our health checks are up to date at 100%. Our shots are up to date at 100%. Uh monthly reportable center health incidents are at zero. Number of children with disabilities, we are at 13. Staff training activities, we've had two for October. And then our parent involvement activities, we've had six for the month of October. Um, in kind, we are at $123,697. And then, uh, we have school nutrition report that's listed there. On the next page, we have two receipts or just one receipt, I'm sorry. Um, there's a

Walmart receipt for 211 $114. Then we have our budget uh January through December of 2025. Our balance is at $463,31266. Next we have for the month of September's expenditures and that total is $135,539 $5395 for September. Our expenditures for January through September, that total is $1,297,21521. And then our incumbrances we still have yet to pay is $ 38,62.13. And that completes our budget report for October. Thank you, Miss Lily. Thank you. And we have uh an EHS parent that's going to come forth to speak. Um she spoke at our staff meeting and I was so moved by her story and her history with our children. So I told her, you have got to share this with the board. Um our staff was really moved by her story, too. So I'm done now and um you

guys will hear from Miss Ga. Thank you. Hello. >> My name is Kenia Gillette. Um, I don't want to hold you guys up because I know this is a meeting. Um, I was actually introduced to Early Head Start through high school because I took the early the early childhood course in high school >> and we used to go over to Early Head Start. Um, and I got pregnant my senior year and they had programs, you know, for pregnant moms and teen moms and stuff like that. So, my first daughter actually, you know, started out with um, Early Head Start. She's 10 now in getting ready for sixth grade and she's been tested for gifted. She's always been ahead. She's been on a roll, principal's list, beta club, and now I have four other kids. And

my last one that I had issues kind of with um Early Head Start actually caught her delays, um her learning delays, and I was able to, you know, get her help with therapy, seeing the right therapist. She still gets therapy at you guys um primary and she has a IEP as well and that's something that probably wouldn't got caught until she got to prek because she was born during the pandemic. >> Um so she didn't go to any dayc carees anything like that. She went straight to Early Head Start and she was really there for 2 years and she was mar you know delayed in a lot of areas. She wasn't talking or anything like that. Before she left Early Head Start, my daughter was counting to 20. She knew her ABCs. She knew her

name, her mama name, her daddy name, like she know her color. She know her shakes. And now when she goes back, because I have my baby boy that goes to Early Head Start now. And now when we go back sometimes when she's home and she she's able to take him with me and they just love her and they like, "She's talking, she's this, she's doing that." And I'm like, "Yeah." And I really appreciate the school because if she would have went straight to prek, they would have been like, "Okay, this is wrong. We need her with this. We need help with this. She need help with that." And they was able to catch it. You know, she's still getting help, but they was able to catch it. So, she's not as behind as she was

before >> and she's up to a date with everything basically. Um, she just, you know, still a little occupational that's getting where she needs to be. But I think if it wasn't for Early Head Start, she would be even more delayed. And I don't think that my daughter that's, you know, been tested for gifted and in beta care of all these years, I don't think she would be where she's at if it wasn't for Early Head Start because it's a early head start, you know? Like it's not just a center where they're looking after the kids and taking care of kids. And they're doing that because all of my kids, they love them. They love all their teachers. even remember them to this day. My oldest daughter, she remember her teachers from when she was

there. Um, so I just think that it's a great program. You know, it it's very helpful for a lot of parents as well as the kids. It's very helpful for them. And ever since then, all my kids have been except my daughter that's um she has heart problems. She wasn't able to go to any facilities or anything like that. But all my other kids, they've been at Early Head Start. >> Yeah. >> Tell us your baby's name. >> Oh, her name's Kaylee Bert. >> Okay. >> And if you ask her, she's going to tell you. I'm Kaylee Bert. You going to let me know. But before it's like you couldn't get Kaylee to speak. You couldn't get her to talk. And it's like now it's like Kate, can you please stop? It's like she don't

know when to talk, when not to talk. It's like, okay, I think it's for that. But at the same time, I'm like, okay. And talking so much cuz now she's a motor. She doesn't stop at all. >> Yeah. And she actually helps a lot. She's very helpful. like she I think the program is more so helpful for parents as well because then you're able to pay attention and understand what's going on with your students with your with your babies and actually I was working at her early head. Um hopefully I'll be back. >> Yeah, they're hiring back. Um yes, I just had my fifth one. She's six months. So, I'm going to, you know, start back in this program, it actually motivated me because when I first had my um my first daughter, I was

uh supposed to go off to school in the military and stuff, >> but you know, when that thing happens, you know, it's a little sidetracked. And then >> I was like, okay, where do where do I want to be right now in life? You know, and I just so happened I was like, my mom was like, well, Jazzy, you know, that's my nickname. I'm sorry. She was like, "Well, you know, you um you did early childhood. Maybe that's where you want to be at again." And so, I did it. You know, I came back and I was like, "Oh my gosh, I really love this." And so, I was actually let go because I didn't have my full credentials yet. >> And so, it kind of broke me and I was like, you know what?

I'm going to get me a higher degree. So, now nobody would be able to tell me you can't be here because you don't have this and you don't have that. You know, motivates you? >> Um, I'm actually in school. Um, I almost completed my first year getting my bachelor's degree in early childhood. >> That's wonderful. >> Thank you so much, Miss Gillette, for that praise report. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Job well done. I'm thankful for the program actually and I'm, you know, I'm thankful for you guys too because y'all fight for a lot for those kids and it means a lot to parents. You know, most parents are shy and afraid to come up and speak and talk about their experiences, but I'm not. And I'm actually thankful and I'm grateful for it.

>> You know, I pray that this program is still around for, you know, the kids to come because it's very helpful. >> Thank you guys for having me. Thank you. Thank you. And uh Miss Willis, we need to make a motion to accept a report. I need a motion. >> I make a motion to accept the early head start report. >> Second. Second. It's been motioned and second to accept the early head start report. Let's No discussion. Let's go over. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. We are now down to um construction projects. Mr. Williams, >> good evening. >> Um I've got two two things. Um both of them in the Minnell fold put on in front of your chair. The first one is uh the construction manager bid for Burke County High

School re- roof. We only had one bid. Uh it was post construction and they are at 8%. Um and and y'all know we've done construction management enough. The total bid, their bid is 8% of whatever the total bid comes in at. Um so we'll work with them. We'll work with Buckley if you approve them to make sure we get a good bid and they get the lowest bid we can get um to help reduce that cost. But we only had one. Um we advertised, we put it on the state, local, everywhere we were supposed to and still only had one bid. approval. >> Make a motion to approve the single and low bid of Pope construction for the high school roofing project. >> Second motion and second. Any discussion? Let's vote for sure. I'm sorry

about >> Thank you very much. >> Thank y'all. Um second is just an update. Uh, you know, we've been working on the life center for a while now. Um, what you have is the what we think is the final draft ready to go footprint. Um, so that is just for your information. Um, it does include a technology area for our technology support. It is the same building, but they are isolated. So coming in coming in and out, our technology folks do not have to come in and out of the life center. Life center doesn't have to go in and out of the technology. Um, so same same building, same housing, but they are separate. Um, and those areas can be divided if alter if the life center has a function at night or something. Technologies

area can be locked up so nobody has access. Um, just a few little quick things. Uh, they have a cafeteria. They do not have a full kitchen. um because we do prep there, we're going to have uh warmers and chillers, but we will not have a full-fledged kitchen. Um so that's why you don't see an actual kitchen with equipment in there. Um and everything else is just what they've asked for, what they've needed. We talked to administration, Dr. Williams, and think that this is a floor plan that gives them what they've asked for and what they need. >> That's just for your information. >> Thank you. Well, >> this is a new building completely. >> It is. Yes, ma'am. The old Well, and now the gym is not, if you recall, we are going to

renovate the gym. >> So, it will look it will fit and look like this building, but the gym will not be torn completely down. It will be renovated and added to what we need to add to. >> But everything else, yes, ma'am. Everything else is demoed and this is completely brand new. >> Okay. Well, thank you, sir. >> Thank y'all. Appreciate it. But in that same mirror. >> Same. Yes, ma'am. Same. Almost the same. Almost the same place. >> Almost the same. >> What is your projected time on this? >> Um, we hope I hope we can start then in January and get them leaving with abatement cleaning up and demo as soon as January. >> Okay. So, everybody will have to move over to the middle school. >> No, ma'am. Um, as it stands,

our plan is to move them into the third week that Miss Loretta Johnson was in. Um, we've done some I won't call it renovation because it hasn't been major construction. We cleaned it up, waxed it. They were in there before, if you remember. >> So, there's room uh air conditioners work. I mean, every that building's in good shape. >> So, the plan is to put them in there while they're doing the construction and demo on the old building. We we'll we will fence things off. They will not have access to the construction. it will be safe. Um, but they will still continue over there. And I don't I know Dr. Sherry not here. I don't want to speak for but I think that is her. >> Oh, I'm sorry. But I think that's her wish.

She wants to stay over there in that area. So the plan is right now to keep them in that third wing. Once we get the new building built, they will just move into the new building. We'll demo that third one. Okay. >> That's the plan. >> Okay. Uh, we need to make a motion to accept this plan. I make a motion to accept uh plans as presented for B County Life Center. >> Second. >> I second that motion. >> Any questions, discussion? If not, let's go vote by show of hand. Thank you. >> We are now ready for school nutrition. Hello. Hello. >> So, we have five items that we got bids on. They're all for Blake Elementary and we had five biders for each. So, we'll start with the Bees cold holding single. It's

a reachin. It stays up there by the line. >> And the lowest bid for that is Balter for 1541978. Do y'all have it on here? Anybody need a print copy? Okay, I brought some just in case. >> Sorry about the smudge on the top. So the first one is the cold holding single and it came in with vulture at 1541978. Everybody see the difference? I mean the highest one was 19118. So bing out to all five gave us a good discount. Anybody have any questions about that one? Do we need to approve that one? >> We got five. >> Do y'all want to approve each one or >> That's what she's asking us. Go ahead and approve this. >> Somebody made different one. >> Yes, we'll we'll we'll do each one. >> Okay. >> Well,

Bolter did win four, so I could go through the four that they wanted, except for them the one that somebody else did. So you want to show us vols on on all of them and we just vote for Bolter >> Bter 14 and Norville 15 so I can show you four that Bolter won and then we go to the Okay, let's do that. All right, so the cold holding double. So it's it's behind the cash registers over towards the kitchen. It's a it's a it's a double like it holds a lot. That's where we keep all our backups. So that one came in with balter for 212328. So we have two reachin pot holding units, one behind each line. That's where we store because we're going to refresh it right there on the line. And

we bid we bid all two of them at the same time cuz they both are almost gone. So that one is balter for 26018.34. Okay. The next is two warmers. So warmers we keep those we can move them around. They have wheels. We um we usually use those as spares during Thanksgiving and we keep them in the back of the house in the kitchen. So for two of those bolts are one for 12 26828 that that's all that bolts are won. So we can vote to accept vulture forwards. >> So we need a motion. >> I make a motion to approve bolter as the low bid for the dees single cold holding the double cold holding the two hot holding reachins and the two warmers. You need a second. Second. Okay, we have a motion

and a second. I don't think we have any discussion. Let's vote by joy. Thank you. Okay. Okay. Next, we have a double stack coffee. So, it's actually a steamer and an oven all in one. And it's got two different sections, so you can cook two different temperatures at the same time with two different zooms. And that one was sworn by Norville for 38828. Okay. You need a motion that we accept the bid for Noville for the double stack combo um hunting school nutrition program equipment for 38,000. >> $38,828. >> Okay, we have a motion. I will need a second. >> I second that. Motion second. Motion is second. Let's vote by show of hand. >> Okay. Thank you so much. >> Thank you. >> Where's the boat company located? >> It's from Georgia. The guy

that the person that represents them lives in Statesboro, but I believe they're up around Atlanta. >> So, he's he's kind of local, so he can ping out pretty easy. >> Do they have a capabilities to come and repair or will Paul have to take that on? So we'll have a warranty for so many years and Paul can call the warranty company and then after that we use um TRP services out of Aken. >> What was that? >> TRP services >> there. Um they work on everything that comes in a cafeteria whether it's us or a restaurant except for we use whether the name wasn't coming whe like our um steamers when it has to be burped the steam kettle and then they work on our combi ovens I got >> Thank you. All right. >>

Thank you. Thanks, Miss. >> Yes. Uh, we've already had a little work session before the meeting, so we've discussed these. What you have before you are the first two are um employee policies that are simply nothing more than a consolidation of your current policies under one uh policy designation for all employees. Nothing new in any of the either of those two. just simply consolidating the current policy designations all up under one policy designation for all employees. So that's those first two uh section G policies and the next two section I policies uh relate the last one there internet safety relates to u compliance with the new Senate Bill 351 uh that requires that we have this policy and this is based on as we've discussed the language of the Georgia schoolboard association suggested policy. So

that's what that is. In fact, we've gone ahead and supplied that to the Georgia Department of Education as we were required to do. So they have that, but you need to ratify that. And then the other one, the other section I policy that is on there that relates to um internet issues is also our current uh internet policy. But because we were reviewing the other one, I asked Mr. right to to take a look at that. And he had some changes uh relating to the current current technology in use. Some of the language in the previous policy had language in it that no longer applies like we got our internet under the old policy from I think Bell South or somebody. That's right. >> Um and he changed that to the to the current um

configuration. So, so these are very non-controversial just kind of proform sorts of policy updates and as we discussed we'll look at all these again um late. >> Okay. >> I make a motion to approve uh board policy gb second. Okay. Is there a motion and second? Any discussion? >> Discussion. The one G A R H that is the one that it was mentioned that we would definitely look at that again and review it. I think that that needs to be a part of the motion that that is the one for discussion. The others were fine, >> but we're going to bring that one up again. We did not want to make a change at this time as you indicated, Mr. Lane because half of the school year's gone and we didn't want to mess up

things and so we wanted to give Mr. the height of that um opportunity to bring it to us again for review because we talked about how vacation is being used, leave, all of that. And so that does need to be a part of the motion. If you can just put a clause, >> I'll amend it with the caveat to review policy GK at the board retreat for any future changes. >> Thank you. I remend it. Sure. Okay, >> you're sick it. Okay, because it was amazing. >> Thank you. Thank you, Dr. Mouse. Thank you very much. Okay, let's vote by show of hand. Thank you very much. We have one other item right now. The policy maintenance. Y'all want to take on that? >> Oh yeah. Um policy maintenance service. We had before you some

options for I brought that in here, but but the decision the suggestion was that you um moved to the next level of policy maintenance update from the Georgia School Board Association, which was $3,600 a year. Uh, >> it's in your other folder name. >> There it is. >> Policy maintenance service $3,600 per year. It doesn't really designate it any other way. >> We need a motion to accept that. >> Okay. I so move. Uh, but it needs to be stated what it is. What >> it that's what it says. Follow maintenance service $3,600 per year. >> All right. >> So, we move to the next level. Okay. >> Yes. And I so move. >> Okay. Thank you very much. >> I second. >> A second. Vote by show of hand. We've had this discussion. Okay.

We are now ready for our superintendent report. >> Yes. You have a field trip agenda. That's okay. He's trying to get us out of here. >> I tried this. I promise. I've had them since 12:00. Um, so what you have there in front of you is we talked last month about the senior trips and that there would be more coming. So I think they have all of those now. That is the list you have before you and so I'm asking for approval um of that list which is actually an addendum to what was submitted in September. >> I have a question. Uh you explain when it says February, is that February or May or February through May? >> They could take the trip anytime. >> Anytime between that. Okay. All right. And then where it

says the skating trip >> and once again between >> I cut it off. >> So first semester and then second. >> Okay. Okay. That's what it was. >> Okay. That's all I needed. So, we need a motion to accept the revised. I have a question. >> Okay. >> Because these are lots of trips and I know that we have questions always coming back after we've approved something. And my concern it says they can take these trips anytime through February through May. But which ones? Because I noticed his comment said these trips are tentative and not all will be taken. So, it's difficult to vote on a whole list if you don't know which ones they're doing. >> And that is my concern because he indicated these trips are tentative and not all will be taken.

We respectfully request that they be placed on the agenda for consideration and of course they are. But I have a problem with approving them all and we don't know which ones they're going to take. And I think that we need to find out specifically which ones they're going to take. I don't have a problem with any of them, but I'm just saying we can't vote on something if we don't vote. >> So, should we approve it on tentative consideration as long as they bring it back to us for approval once they >> That's a good idea. Thank you. >> I guess this gives them an idea of yes, they can go. right? This tells us what they want to do, >> but he said it in in the note because he's aware that you can't

prove something if you don't know what it is. So, that was a good way she said it. And also keeping in mind, too, um that most of these trips are taken on the weekend just like the American trip, they take them on a weekend. So, hence the note at the bottom that they will not infringe on instructional time, >> right? And and that I don't have a problem with that. >> Okay. But I have a problem with voting for all of them if we don't know which ones they don't. Okay. So, will you make that motion? >> I make a motion that we approve the uh senior trip addendum with cons um with consideration >> tentative consideration for the uh trips as long as they come back with a request for approval for the correct

trips. >> Okay, that's a second. You going to second it? >> Oh, I Okay. >> Yes. And before we approve, I just want So, for example, if they're doing this skating trip and they're asking for the window between September and December, so we won't meet again until >> November 21st. >> So, if they want that one, >> so if that is one that they're able to schedule before >> before that time, they're going to have to come back to the board for approval. I think that was the point so that they can go ahead and start scheduling it. Could we do an approval via email as we've done before? >> Yeah, let us know. >> You're perfectly okay with that. >> So, we asking for a notification or we asking for approval because that's different

things. If y'all are approving the list, can you be notified of the trips that they're taking or you asking them to come back for? >> I think I believe Dr. Cook has something. >> Yes, Dr. Sebrook. >> Yes. Um, point B and um Dr. Action. What we've done with this is, as Dr. Williams have indicated, a lot of these trips will be done on the weekend, but the trips are predicated on when they are available. Um, we may not be able to get a trip um scheduled at a certain time. So, one of the things that why we did it this way, what we could do is come back and say, "Okay, look, we got a trip scheduled. We got the span between September and December. If we can get done in November, then we

can say to you, November 28th is the actual date that we're taking the trip." And then therefore that will cover the provenance approval date and time. That's why we have to do this because we don't know when the approval >> and I I I think that's what the motion is. We are tentatively accepting these and expect to hear back >> on the actual on the actual >> Yes. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> So they need to be we motion seconded. We approve for them to start the process of >> planning >> scheduling these dates and bringing back firm dates and times. >> Yes. >> For for approval. >> How do you want that? >> I'm just thinking that the field trips that you all approve in August do not have exact dates. If you

go back and look at you all, you all approved like Springfield trip or whatever. I think the difference here is you have the list, but not all will be taken. >> That is the difference. So it would be the same as if this was submitted in August. >> If you go back and look at what you approved in August, I honestly don't see a problem with it since we know they're not going to take all 10 of these trips. >> That's right. and they are given the opportunity to pick from this list for a trip, but we know that they're not going to take all of them. >> I approve the tentatively senior trip >> and you just notify us it'll be the same distance. Um, and what we can do is say for instance

we take a trip in November 10th, we can say there'll be a trip November 10th and it will allow the same day we're doing. So you tend to be uh proving the dates the date span for us >> so we can operate within that timeline. >> Okay. I'll be clear. >> We got a motion. >> We got a we sent and that's what he said in his comment. Yes. >> Yeah. >> Yes, he did. >> So we picking up his language. >> Sentative. >> Okay. Is it superintendent report? >> Yes, ma'am. And I will be very brief. Um, let's see. And this is really followup from last month. Um, get it open. >> Um, just to follow up on enrollment. So last month the the reported enrollment was 3,715. Today is 3,76. So that's remaining

pretty steady remembering again that the increases were in second, 6th, 9th, and 12th grade, but then we saw decreases in all others. Um staffing, what you see there in black were the vacancies last month. Um and so and what you see there in blue are the only existing vacancies that we have. Dr. Collins has been doing an outstanding job and I have to um acknowledge that leading the department working with the principles and the directors to get these positions posted um screening, interviewing um and ensuring that all the prerequisites are in place so that we can get them filled in a in a timely manner. Um the program providers fair was a huge success and again I wanted to thank her and her department for that. We had great participation. I know a couple of

you were there but great participation from both the providers and the attendees. And I think there's been a steady stream of calls and emails about people who are um trying to get in school as early as January. So it was it was really something that um they bought into and I think that's really going to help us with our um grow your own um teacher candidates. particularly Miss Masha White has jumped in and and u been a great addition. Um so I want to thank the board again for approving that added position. Uh she's been a great fit. Right now she's in the middle of uh CPI along with um NFTT along with Doc Collins with Miss Marchman that is going extremely well. It's like she can almost do it with her eyes closed. So

bringing her to the table who is that person >> Miss Marsha White. So bringing her to the table with that background has been has been awesome. um that department is rocking and rolling. So again, those are our three um positions there uh in addition to whatever you all are going to approve today. Um see that we're stuck. I want to provide a few construction updates as requested. Um and Mr. Williams, please help me with that if I misspeak on something. The auditorium is uh going quite well. I don't know the last time you all have been over and peaked in, but the seats um are in. There's a little bit of work um quite a bit of work left to do, but they seem to be on schedule with all of that. Um the learning

commons or the media center, which is traditionally known. Uh there's some ceiling work that they're still doing, placing some tiles, they had told us that they would turn that over to us this week. Um that didn't quite happen because they're still waiting on some some towels, but the it's it's looking good in there. So, um Mr. Williams has already spoken on the the high school re-roof project. So, um I won't repeat that, but u thank you all for approving that this evening for them to proceed with that. The um and he's also talked to you about the new life center um and and where we are with that. And then the athletic fields again um that is something that I just want to keep that up front out front that that is something that was

originally approved for the with to go along with the life center project but that we have since um found space to move that back to the uh middle school campus so that the kids are not having to be transported across town. So um we'll keep you updated as that moves moves along. And then the only other thing I had to report on tonight was the broadband project which Miss Payton has already hit on. Um we have not gotten our last update was October 14th. So um looks like that project is about to to close out and um hopefully it will be everything that it's been promised to be. >> So far so good in your so far so good. >> Thank you very much Dr. Williams. Anybody else have anything before we go into close

session? Okay. At this time, I would like to make a motion. >> I'll make a motion close. >> Motion second. Good. Yeah.
