We'd like to take a moment to share how our governance team, including the board of education and the superintendent, work together to support both families and students. The board focuses on policy and long-term direction of Social Circle City Schools, while the superintendent and staff manage day-to-day

003operations of our district through a well- definfined chain of command. When questions or concerns arise, we ask families and community members to follow the chain of command, beginning with the teacher or school administrator moving up as needed. This allows concerns to be addressed timely and appropriately and helps ensure the best outcome for our students. At this time, I'll turn the meeting over to Superintendent Reart. >> Thank you. I would like to direct you to the screen for the superintendent's report for this month to see the great things we have going on in our school system. All right, we get to the most important part. Our favorite part was student recognition. So we will start off with Dr. Hard Road to recognize our student of the month for the elementary school test. Good evening. How are

004y'all doing this afternoon? It is my pleasure and my honor to be able to recognize Alani Caesar, a fourth grader at Social Circle Elementary School, for being an empathetic collaborator. And the words that I'm going to share tonight are from her fourth grade teachers, Miss Lrod and Miss Sims. And this is what they have to say. Alani brings energy, heart, and leadership into our classroom every single day. She shines as an empathetic collaborator, always listening with kindness and truly valuing the ideas and perspectives of others. Alani naturally rises as a leader, guiding her peers with patience, respect, and confidence. Whether she's working with a group or setting an example, she does so with integrity, responsibility, and a positive attitude. We are so proud to have Alani represent our school. She truly makes our community a

005better place. At this time, please give Lani Caesar a round of applause as she comes forward. And now, Alani is going to share some of the exciting things that we have coming up at the elementary school. Good evening. My name is Alani Caesar. We have a lot of exciting things happening at our school today. The Rotary Readers came to read with our kindergarten, first grade, and second grade classes. Teachers are having parent teacher student conferences where teachers and students get to share all of the progress we have made this year. Our third through sixth grade talent show will take place tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30 p.m. in the SCES gym. You will not want to miss it. It is sure to be an amazing event. Quarter 3 tag celebrations will be happening in

006classrooms this Friday as we recognize student achievements for quarter 3. We are looking forward to a fantastic fourth quarter filled with continued learning and fun but thank you for recognizing me today. I love being a student at social circle other elementary school. Good evening everyone. At this time, it's my pleasure to introduce you to Central Circle Middle School's star student of the month, Mr. Worth Edwards. So, Worth is a great example of what we strive to see in every student athlete. Prioritizing academics, Worth consistently performs near or at the top of his classes. He is an example for others to follow. He takes that drive and determination and transfers that energy to athletic competition, leading him to also be a state qualifier for the middle school state wrestling tournament. Worth embodies our portrait graduate attributes

007as a global citizen, realizing everyone has a role to play. He allows for empathetic communication, letting everyone speak and be heard. He genuinely evaluates issues and provides meaningful feedback to contribute the support of his classmates and teammates. He is always a positive in conversation with peers and teachers and he is a leader willing to take the first step to help others. He doesn't wait for others to start helping first. He immediately steps in to make a difference. Social circle has many talented students, but Wor stands out for his dedication to academics and his unmatchable heart he gives his teammates. You can always find worth in our school as being an example of what a Redskins should always be. Please join me in congratulating Worth as our student of the month. Sorry. >> All right. Now,

008Worth would like to give some updates going on at the middle school. Good evening. My name is Worth Edwards and I'm honored to share the latest updates from Social Circle Middle School. As we move into a very active month of April, we are kicking off the month by celebrating World Autism Awareness Day next week on April 2nd. It is an important day for our school community to promote kindness, inclusion, and understanding for all of our students. Following a welldeserved spring break from April 6th through the 10th, our students will be diving straight back into some incredible hands-on learning opportunities. On April 20th, our seventh graders will head to Junior Achievement Finance Park. This is a fantastic program where they'll get a real world look at personal finance and career exploration. From April 23rd to the

00926th, our eighth graders will be heading out on their trip across Georgia. This is a highlight of the middle school experience, allowing them to see the history and geography of our state firsthand. We'll also have our monthly club day on April 24th, giving everyone a chance to step outside the traditional classroom setting to pursue their specific interests and hobbies with friends. Finally, we are preparing to show what we've learned this year as the Georgia Milestones testing begins on April 28th. We are confident and ready to finish the year strong. Thank you for your continued support of our students and our school. Good job, Mr. Armstrong from the high school student. Good evening. It's my pleasure to introduce NCHS student of the month, Mr. Tyman Branch. I'd like to share a couple of comments from his

010teachers. First one said, "Type is a class individual that loves to learn. Adding for economics, he's always asking questions about finance, investments, and his future. He will be an incredible asset for any organization or business that hires him in the future." Another one who's known him for quite a while said, "I've had the pleasure of watching him grow up from a young toddler, watching his oldest brother, Chad, play basketball to running alongside his younger brother, Andre, on the track. I've watched him become the incredible, inquisitive young man that he is today. He's worked diligently throughout high school to earn A's and B's, even while participating in sports, organizations, and helping with community events. I've enjoyed every minute of watching him grow and thrive. I cannot wait to see where the next chapter takes him. I

011had a chance to talk to his work best learning employer a little earlier today. Here's what he had to say. He said, "Titan has the work ethic, determination, and skill that will take him far." He began his time with Southern Metalcraft as a shop assistant through the workbased learning program. However, his goal was to become a welder. He did that because he put the time and hard work in and became a welder within just a few weeks of being hired. I couldn't be prouder of all that he has done and accomplished and look forward to seeing the amazing things he continues to accomplish in the years ahead. So, if you will help me join join me in recognizing our student of the month and our current Mar Scholar, Mr. Ti break. Good evening. My name

012is Todd Branch. I'm a senior at Social Circle High School. I've lived in Social Circle my whole life. I've only ever been to the social circle schools. First, I want to say a thank you to my family and friends. I'm grateful for those who have always supported me and pushed me to do my best. I also appreciate the teachers, coaches, and counselors who guided, challenged me, and believed in me along the way. This year I became an FFA state proficiency award finalist at agriculture mechanics fabrication and design. In addition to my work in the classroom, I've been working at Southern Middlecraft as a shop assistant and welder through the workbased learning program at Smi. When I first started, I was a shop assistant and didn't really know anything. But over time, I've I've learned to

013read blueprints, TIG map, TIG welding, so much more. At SCS, I learned to do MIG and stick welding, but at Smi, we do TIG welding, which is just more precise. Next year, I'm planning to attend a two-year technical college to study welding technology. One of my favorite memories is spending time with family and friends, whether it was playing sports or just hanging out, because those moments helped me build strong relationships and enjoy the journey. Having those strong moments made every challenge I faced feel more manageable and made the whole experience more meaningful. I've been inspired by my teachers and coaches who push me to constantly improve myself and stay disciplined. They helped me see what I'm capable of and motivated me to keep working toward my goals. For an example, the closer I get to

014graduating, the more I'm ready for school to be over and I start to slack in the classroom. But when that happens, the teachers always push me to keep going. And lastly, I want to thank my mom for always supporting me and believing me in everything. three great examples of the students we have here and we're very proud of each and every one of them. >> Thank you. At this time, we'll have a short break and we're continuing with the business portion of our meeting. >> All right. Next on our agenda is public participation. However, we did not have anyone sign up to participate in this evening's meeting. Next, we will receive a finance update from our CFO, Miss Nicole Cross. Good evening.
