brother. You're stepping to his level now. apparently. Thank you. There you go. Wait for standing here. I'd rather you guys >> I do. You might be ready. Yeah. >> Yeah. There's I don't remember. Three. >> [laughter] >> Thank you so much. >> I thought we were early. Is it >> your sister doesn't get it, right? Are you sure? That's why you started You know what? I wanted Yes. Yes. >> Oh, what's his name? >> Brother. Uhhuh. >> Just steal. But either >> either you or Eric explaining how people should definitely be good. >> Oh, but I did I did one of the short I was talking about people. >> We're Yeah, we have >> Yeah. Oh, >> it's also deeply upsetting. Like >> they're basically You're the most responsible person that entire stay. So you're

actually doing [laughter] Yeah. Watch you walk in. Good evening everyone. We are about five minutes away from showtime, but we do have numerous people standing along the sidewall. So, if in your aisle there is an open seat or two, maybe three, uh, please raise your hand or shoot some of them over here to you. Maybe slide in or have them pick their seats. Okay, we want to try to get every single person seated tonight. I know some of you are saving seats for someone who is on the way. Um, but again, for the people that are here, if you know you're going to have a few open seats in your row, please wave some of the people standing along the aisles over. One. Okay, it looks like two in the middle here. That's about eighth

row from the front. That's a $50 ticket right here. One right here. That's now 75. That's closer to the stage. Seven. Two seats right here. That's not sore neck. You're not looking up like the movie theater. We got two right here. Two in the front. Looks like one right here. There is a Fiser student on crutches. So, if we can get that student maybe an end seat so they're not hopping over you. Okay, looks like another one in the middle here. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Two in the middle here. Grab a seat. It's going to be a great show tonight. We are now four minutes away. Four minutes. You hear me? >> Also, like over other people that are sitting down. Okay. Where are you moving from? Okay, sure. Okay, that would be

really fun. >> Sure. Hold on. Okay. >> Thank you so much. Byebye. He'll see that you're watching. He'll type stuff in. [music] I just want to ladies and gentlemen, we have gotten be okay. This tank row here, front row is now open. So, we have 13 seats going across. Again, it is not the movie theater. You will not have a sore neck at the end of the evening. And no student is coming this way tonight with any instruments. So, this is the safe zone. 13 seats. Looking at the booklet, it is a 13 song evening. It's going to be about an hour and 30 minutes, Mr. Silopino said. >> So again, get comfortable and if you do have open seats, >> two here. Looks like some more. Two here in the middle. Again, get to

know each other. We are Fisher family >> enjoying a musical concert tonight. I'm not going to do this. I promise you. If anyone still needs a booklet, we will come up and down the aisles tonight or when the show begins, I'll hold a bunch up and hand them out to you once the students take the stage. Still two right in the center here. >> Okay, it looks like we are getting ready to begin. Just a few housekeeping rules. Restrooms right outside the auditorium here. They are unlocked. Restrooms are open. Please be mindful of your phone. If you are videotaping anything tonight, just be careful of your neighbor or the head in front of you so you're not filming someone's back of the head. Student pickup in the main lobby following the last song. If your

child finishes up early tonight, they are going back to the location that they are in right now. You are not able to pick them up and leave the concert early. Mr. Silipino has asked that they stay here for the entire night. So, student pickup is going to be in the main lobby after the 13th song. Parents, just a morning reminder that if you are dropping your child off here at school, our doors do not open until 8:00. So, I know with the temperatures the way they are these next few days, we don't want your child outside from 7:30 till 8:00. So, do your best if you can to try to drop them off anytime 8:00 to 8:30. All right? We're not going to be late. We just don't want them exposed to the cold weather

too too long. All right. This time last year, as tradition, we sang a Philadelphia Eagle song and chant to start the concert evening. That's not going to happen tonight. So, we're going to go right to this song and your uh program tonight. So, at this time, I'd like to welcome Mr. Filipino and our winter band concert. [applause] >> Thank you so much, MC Chef. I appreciate you being here and getting us started. And of course, you have to pour salt on the wound. And uh yeah, go go birds. Can I hear go birds, please? [cheering] >> Thank you. >> No, I don't want to say a thumbs down. I saw a thumbs down over there. I'm going to find out whose student you're attached to. have a little we're going to have a little fun.

>> We're going to start things off as we usually do here at Fisher Middle School with a playing of our national anthem. So, if you are able, please rise for the playing of our national anthem. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. [music] Hey, Heat. >> [music] [applause] >> Thank you so much. Our first song we're going to play with you with our seventh grade band is called Zigzag. I think this one's a pretty frantic, crazy, fast piece. So, we hope you guys enjoy zigzag. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] [music] >> That's all. Heat. Heat. [music] Yeah. [music] Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] >> [applause] [clears throat] >> All right, the next song we're going to play for you is also a pretty quick one. This is, I believe, the

clarinet player's favorite song ever. Am I correct when I'm saying that? >> They're they're very scared, so just just to warn you. So, they're doing a great job with this one. This one is called Princess. We hope you guys enjoy this one. >> [music] [music] >> Merry Christmas. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. Are you [music] [music] heat? All right. [music] >> [music] >> Come on. [music] Heat. [music] [bell] Heat. [applause] >> [applause] >> And the last song that we're going to play for you guys um with the seventh grade band before we bring up our sixth graders is called Night Fury. Although they renamed it, what was the real name for this? Night Furry. I I don't They like to rename the songs, but it's Night Fury. That's what the actual

title is. So, enjoy. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] Let's [music] [applause] [cheering] hear something. [cheering] >> [applause] >> Okay, bear with us. We're going to get these guys off the stage. We're going to get our sixth graders on. So, be right back in a moment. Thank you. >> [applause and cheering] >> Okay, as we are transitioning between the grades again, we do have many who are standing along the walls. I do have our custodian bringing a rack of folding chairs. So, what we can do is again because we're still another hour plus of music tonight and I don't want to see you guys standing if uh you know if you can't handle it. [music] So, folding

chairs, I'm going to bring them to the main lobby here. I'll start carrying them in. If you want a folding chair, we can put the folding chairs up against the wall facing front like you are. And again, that should still allow for a passing aisle. Uh, I did check with the fire marshall and we are under code even with the chairs off to the side. So again, I just don't want to see this many people standing. If we can provide a folding chair for you, we do have some open seats still. If you have a family member who could not make the concert tonight, send a quick text. This is the uh live feed tonight. Uh I believe it is on the YouTube channel. All right. So, this is coming to our households live on

YouTube. >> One seat here. Second row. Anybody who wants a cushion seat, second row, mid, going price 50 bucks. Not bad. Not bad. And a free homework pass for your child. So, we'll make sure I was like this influenc You hate me. All right, we are back. So, here is our sixth grade band today. So, the first song they're going to be playing for you is called Tadpoles. So, just like uh I don't want to call these guys frogs or anything, but just like you know, tadpoles are kind of just starting out and they're going to develop into you know awesome frogs. These guys are going to start out in sixth graders and then by the time they're in eighth grade, they're going to really be beasts up here uh with the band. So, here

is our first selection of temples. Here is their debut at Fiser Middle School. [applause] [cheering] [applause] Come on. [music] Honey, [music] drunk. >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. [music] Heat. [applause] >> [applause] >> Okay, this next one needs a little bit of an explanation, so you got to bear with me for a moment. Okay, so the next song we're playing for you is called Pixels. What this song is about is the composer wrote this because he spent a lot of time playing video games in his youth. Okay, I know nothing about that at all. Like Mario Brothers on Nintendo. No, I have no idea what he's talking about. So, if you're of a certain age, this is supposed to

be a song that is inspired by the soundtracks of those kind of games. Now, if you want to check out your programs in the program notes when you get to Pixels, there's a QR code. If you would like to follow along with our adventure here, you can scan it with your cell phone and you can check out our slideshow because the kids came up with all the 8bit art that goes along with this song. So you can follow along and see our adventure in our video game. We couldn't program a full out video game. Maybe that's coming for the spring concert. We'll see. But we at least got some art for you. So enjoy it. And we'll let you know uh when they uh when to switch the slides. They'll go and they'll hold up

what level we're on so you can follow along. Okay. So I hope you enjoy. Heat. Heat. [music] [music] Heat. Heat. >> [music] [music] >> Heat. [music] Heat. [music] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] [applause] [cheering] Let's hear her one more time for the debut of the sixth grade. [applause and cheering] All right, we're going to change seats one more time and pretty soon we're going to have our stage band up here. So, be patient. We'll be right back. Thank you. [applause] >> [music] >> Is that okay? Yeah, it [music] very [music] wow. What's right up here? >> [music] >> Okay, here is our official stage band. So, these guys are

a traditional group. They have to audition. They become a part of our jazz band here, which is called the stage. They rehearse every Monday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at night. So, it's a late night rehearsal. Uh, but these guys are really awesome and they're going to play some really good jazz for you.
