which stands one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all the good news. Mr. Waller, understand you have something to discuss with us tonight. Absolutely. Thank you. >> Follow me. >> Two chair up here. >> Can I move this forward a little bit? >> Sure. Perfect. >> Awesome. Go ahead. Let me go and step up there. >> You members of the board and Mr. Hillwood. It is an honor for me to be able to sit up here in front of you tonight because with me I have an amazing young man from Stevenson Elementary. Um to give you a little bit of a background, uh I'm the gifted and talented teacher for the uh school district and part of the gifted and talented program at Stevenson is a leadership program and Vinnie is part

of that leadership. We talk about the foundations of leadership and pillars that go along with that. So we've been talking about it throughout the entire year. Um, and I asked the students to create something that shares with me what they have learned about the importance of leadership and the pillars in the foundation. And so when Benny turned in his paper, I read it and I couldn't help but immediately think, "This needs to be shared." So I asked him if he would be willing to read his paper in front of you this evening. And with a little bit of hesitancy, he said, "Okay." So Vinnie, are you ready? Take it away, boss. Explain the foundation and pillars of leadership by going I can explain the foundation and pillars of leadership in really detail. To start off

is integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing no matter the cost and situation. A leader with integrity is a good one because they're always doing the right thing even when no one is watching. A leader without any integrity is doing the wrong thing. Integrity holds your whole leadership house. And if you do not have integrity, your whole house of leadership crumbles and breaks. Integrity is important to everyday life because then other people would see you as a good leader and someone that they can trust. Next is respon responsibility. Responsibility means that you own up to your actions. A good leader shows that shows that when they do something wrong, they own up to it and come out and say that they did something wrong. A bad leader would not own up to that action and

they that they did wrong and would possibly blame that thing that they did wrong on someone else. They might even try to tell that person who's asking about it that they did not do the right the thing that had just happened. Responsibility is important to everyday life because then everyone will be owning up to their actions and not blaming people or trying to deny what they have done wrong. The third pillar of leadership is discipline. Discipline means getting the important thing that needs to be done first. A good leader with discipline would always get the thing that needs to be done first and the thing that can wait. A bad leader with no discipline would probably never get the thing that needs to be done first. They'll probably do the thing that they want to

do only. If you do not have discipline, you will never get the important things done. Second to last is respect. Respect means being kind to everyone around you. A good leader with respect will be kind to everyone they meet. A bad leader with no respect would not be nice to everyone that they meet. You show respect to people then they will show respect to you as well. Some people show no respect to the people around around them and the people around that person will show disrespect to the person that was being rude to them. Respect is important to everyday life because then everyone will be kind to everyone they see. The last pillar but definitely not but definitely not the least is service. Service means the actions of helping someone. A good leader with service

would always help a person that is in need of it. A bad leader would probably not help someone in someone and will possibly tell that person that needs help that they should do it themselves. Service is important to our everyday life because you are helping someone that helps us build up our communities. Why is leadership important to everyday lives? Leadership is important to our everyday lives because if leaders do not possess the foundation or any of the pillars of leadership, there would be no leadership in the world. That would be bad because then there would be no people with integrity, discipline, service, responsibility or respect. Without those characteristics, then there would be no leaders to influence the people around them in a good way. And if there was no one to influence the the people

people in a good way, then people would probably influence the people around them in a bad way. In explaining the foundation and the pillars of leadership, I've explained why every branch of leadership is important in our everyday lives. Also, another reason why leadership is important is because we only have an amount of good leaders out there. The rest of the leaders might be bad ones. If that is true, then there are only just a certain amount of people who of good leaders who to correctly influence those people who are around them that that are listening and watching to what they are doing. This is why leadership is important to our everyday lives. >> Wow. >> Now the hard part answer questions. >> Take a deep breath. I'm not going to be all right. >> How

old are you? >> Nine. >> What grade are you? >> Fourth. >> Who's your teacher? >> Miss Far. >> Outstanding. >> Thank you. >> Great job. >> Those are the questions. >> I just have to say that was very well done, very well thought out, and you read it very well. >> Thank you. >> So, on behalf of the poll, already also have a certificate to give you. Stand up. >> Certificate of recognition to Benny Bell for his excellence and leadership for 2526 presented from the board. >> Thank you. >> Congratulations. >> Thank you very much. >> All right. Home high school debate team third place in state tournament. M uh Mr. Boore and Miss Albert uh Albertson Miss in as >> Okay, call the relief. Let's go. >> Um chairman, members of the board,

we just wanted to come in and celebrate these fine individuals. Did you guys want to stand up and join? These kiddos continue consistently to lead our school. Um they lead with integrity. They lead with um just grit. They work hard. They put forth so much effort and they lead with intelligence which is also incredibly important. They do a really good job. So we just wanted to honor them. from the team as well. >> Thank you. Do you guys want any the board? >> Do you guys want a picture? >> I know Mr. Board asked for a picture, so I will get yelled at if you guys don't like sound. Thank you guys for your cooperation. I appreciate this. >> Wait, you're gonna talk to somebody. >> Beautiful. Thanks, guys. Thank you. >> for this time.

We'll remind everybody workshop for May 12th. 5 p.m. >> Um, legislative update. I'm going let Mr. Gilbert cover that in his report other than they finally decided to go home. So, at this point, >> um, what's that? >> So, at this time, I'd like uh I have Colonel Hansen come on up for strategies to increase Stephvenson Elementary School enrollment. >> Thank you. Hey everybody, I'm uh Colonel Chris Hansen. I'm the mission support group commander. Uh, and I just came here to formally uh kind of introduce some an idea that uh Superintendent Gilbert and I kind of threw around. I'll take the blame for it. I just pitched it to him. Uh, so it's not not his if it fails miserably, but I don't think it will. Uh, what I mean is, uh, my understanding is

the enrollment for citizen dropped significantly over the past year. Uh, what I'm seeking to do is kind of one, how do we how do we address that thing? Uh, address factors that might contribute to that on base. One of the things I'm doing is uh we're relooking at rank structure for on-base housing. Do we have enough for the ones that have waiting list? Because typically if a a family has a uh is on the waiting list, uh they'll they'll possibly go move to Boise instead of staying in this district. Not always. Uh I don't think this is going to solve the problem, right? Uh it might move the needle a little bit, but at least it's something. Uh the bigger thing that I think we can do is try to help you all have maneuver

space in your decisions as to how you guys proportion out the student body uh between the facilities. And so what uh I've already talked to Colonel Gunter about and he's willing to explore it. Um is that we're going to open up non uh Steve we'd like to open up the base to non DoD affiliated families. Um there will be caveats. Uh if they have a felony I'm sorry we will not be able to allow them on base. So, what if you're not familiar with the gunfighter uh pass policy, anybody could apply for that anyways as long as they don't have a phone. Um, and so through that sponsorship, uh, Miss Dominique can actually act as the sponsor. Uh, we can, uh, process them through that. Um, and then those individuals, if it makes sense to

the district, whether it's proximity or if you guys decide to go choice, we'll leave that to you all. Uh, we can then help uh, onboard those folks through the gunfighter pass program. um and uh and allow them to attend Stephvenson. Uh so that way you guys can level off your facilities, do the magic that you all do, and hopefully alleviate some of the problems that maybe the other schools might have that that I'm not aware of, but um but at the very least address the enrollment at Stevenson. Um so uh that's the offer. Um we're going to continue to go down the planning aspects of that um if that is something the school board is interested in. Is there any questions? >> So, I mean, the only question I've got is I mean, we've always

had open enrollment. >> So, Stephvenson was an option. >> Yeah. >> As long as they're willing to bring their children to base whether they live in town or not. Yeah. I used to >> um is the base going to be doing more to entice families to actually live on base? >> There was a lot of things that used to go on. >> Yeah. that was family oriented that just prior to co and since co have stopped. Are they going to be looking at coming back? >> We still have family oriented functions. The housing does that too along with the FSS as you as you know. Um so I'm I'm curious if there's an example of something we're not doing now. >> Um well one of the things I don't see much come across anymore is

like esports. >> So that depends on enrollment. I mean, we advertise continuously. Um, we do appreciate the school and opening up some of the uh uh school sports that occur off base that we can do that. Um, but at the same time, we we offer because I oversee FSS, right? I've seen every advertisement goes on. If we don't have a high tape rate, >> then it's we don't have enough uh I said desire for folks to or enough demand to warrant opening up a whole league. So, uh I I would love to do that, too. Honestly, it's a disappointment to me just as much as anything else because I have a 14-year-old. Um so, uh not a complete answer to your question, I'm sure, but we are um we are trying to address I think

more to what you're getting at um is occupancy rate on housing referenced by previous effort. So, those are probably more in line with what you're talking about because obviously if the families aren't there then how are you really going to have a robust family program, right? So that's kind of what we're trying to get at to um there's certain rank structures that move out to Boise a bit more um proportionality. So if we kind of can we and the Air Force does allow us to change those things up. Just because it's a big house doesn't mean it has to be for a high ranking person, right? >> Um so we're looking at those options too. >> Are they going to be are they going to look at limiting the number because I know they have

a lot of single airmen and single officers sharing houses too. Are they going to be looking at limiting that >> aspect of it? >> No. Uh I've not I've not seen a plan to that. I don't know how that would um negatively impact what we're Stevenson enrollment though. >> Well, create more houses for definitely. >> Oh, I mean I can't I can't do that, right? Like I can't favor families over a single person that wants to live on base. Do you understand? Like that's not that's not legal. So, um, any other questions? >> Okay, thanks. >> All right, Mr. Gilbert, >> Mr. Chairman, members of the board, a couple items. Uh, first highlight of the of the the times I guess will be the students and construction grant was submitted today. I want to thank

Colonel Hansen and Dominique for getting working diligently to get last item that we needed. Thank you. That that was a huge help there. Um so with that process, we'll we'll have the the submitt reviewed uh next week. We'll reach back out if there's anything missing that we need in there. And the next part of that is to bring the the team from oral BCC out to meet each site visit. We go through that process. So hopefully we're on still on track for uh kind of mid June going out to bid on that project. So very excited with that. Uh as Trusty Bion stated, the legislative session did wrap up. I I don't think there's any great uh updates. Nothing Well, let's put it this way. Nothing good occurred after the last update we gave you.

So, um on bright note, uh the school budget was approved with with a flat funding for schools this year. One highlight in there, they did put in a a line item for high need special education that will provide some relief. I think the intent is that that fund will grow in future years. Um they put a little bit of money in it this year, so it's not going to have an impact too much, but it'll down the road. I think that's how they're going to address some of this higher need that we have. Um that's there. And then the the last thing I wanted to share with you here is we are very close to uh going to put the bid package out for the high school redesign. And I just want to display kind

of what this looks like. accelerated. So, this this is just the concept of the front of the building here. And and if you recall, this the redesign on this is we're going to replace all the existing windows with larger windows to bring in more uh natural light into the building, but quite honestly to make the front of the building work a little better, too. So, this is just the the initial design that that we were given. We're still working through some of that. Um, really the goal of this was to make the the front of the building appear as the front of the building to uh folks when they pull up, but to also provide some additional functionality into that. And so, I've got a picture here of the floor plan. And I this is

going to be kind of hard to to see here, but basically right where my producer is is the current current floor plan. Okay. zone. This is the front of the building right now or wait right here is so the plan is to add um some additional office space in the front of the building for functionality. And so the addition is all of this area in here. And what that'll do is free up the existing office area to to provide some more space that's needed. And then the front of the building, you're going to have double access doors here, which is a security measure that's there. And so, uh, we have a meeting with city council the 28th. Uh, this was approved. Planning zone approved it. So, city council has their meeting on the 28th. Hopefully,

it's approved there. And then we're hoping to have the bid go out, I believe, May 12th. Is that right? >> Most of that date. And then uh that that'll be open for I believe about 3 weeks and then award the bid and start on the project. And so the the window phase of this is going to take a while. And so they're going to go in and just do like pods of windows. And so part of this is going to be juggling classrooms next year as they're progressing through that building. Um, but I think overall it's going to give the appearance the front of the the whole building is going to uh have a more modernized look to it, which I think is one of the things that will help, you know, just aesthetically with

with how that building looks. The interior will be part of improving functionality and then this is just part of um a process of trying to modernize the facility. So, so share that with you. One question. >> Yes. >> I didn't see the bell in the will be the bell will be there. >> So, I just don't know how big of an issue. So the yeah, the the plan with that is if you go down the sidewalk all the way to right before the concrete goes into the the gym entrance there, there's that grass chunk right there. We're going to put it there with some um accessibility into it with with some different plaques that we have in there. So the the folks that are helping design the outside of that the the work of that,

one of them is a Mountain Home High graduate. And so that is something that was very important to them, too. So we're going to try to keep all of that in that area right there. >> The bell will not go into hiding again. Well, it might structure. for the um for the facade >> in the additional space. Um I know the windows are going to take a while, but for that part, how long are we looking at? >> Well, that part I don't know that we have the timeline right on that, but was that early fall? the uh completion of the we're expecting the front office to be done in the fall. Sometime in the fall from the start of windows to the last window we're looking to be done the second summer of what

02527. >> Yeah. So sometime in that frame. >> So that will require classrooms to be shut down. >> Yeah. >> Hair time at a time. >> Yeah. And that was part of the juggling that when we asked Mark like what is your flexibility to move a class or whatever that time frame is and I think we'll have a better idea once they start like how long a class when they're doing those takes. So the plan is to get at least part of those going in the summer and that I think will help as we juggle the classrooms and the windows are getting taller. >> Yes. So if you want lighter or I'm trying to go for memory but that looks >> yeah if I I think >> well hopefully more efficient more efficient definitely. So,

if you look at the obviously this is the new stuff, but if you go over here, so the height of these windows are going to go up to they're going to be higher than the false ceiling in the building currently is. So, the top section of this >> will be a a a panel, a solid panel. And then the windows, these other two windows, they do extend the current height of the windows quite a bit. And then in each classroom, we're going to have one of those windows that has the ability to open up as a way to get people out of the building if there's egress. >> Yeah, it won't be a true egress, but it it's more of like an emergency scenario. This is really similar to what they did at Ontario High

School. And and I would say I wouldn't be surprised if whoever designed and built Mountain Home Mountain High School also designed and built Ontario High School. That's all. Any other questions? >> Board of Trustees public engagement board. Anybody got anything to report? >> No, I do. >> I received a call last Friday from a former student um whose father happens to be Buzz Roberts, the former woodworking shop and wrestling coach. and he and some other people would like us to entertain or the district to entertain the idea of renaming or naming the wrestling room after Buzz Roberts who was instrumental for many many years in leading our wrestling program. Um and they are certainly willing to put together whatever proposal is necessary for us to entertain that idea. Um Mr. Gilbert did look up there

are there's a procedure for that um which I will send to them and they can go through that and and try to pursue that. I think first you know Mr. Robert was my high school shop teacher and gave me a lifelong love of woodworking and I understand he was a great wrestling coach been instrumental in keeping that program going or getting that program going. So, >> okay. Um, and then I was out at Stevenson on the 3rd of April and the 16th for the purple day and I took part in the flag race, the flag pole Friday that they had up there with some other members of to do that. So when we presented Sher with her recognition for the state we made from our public agenda at this point second all in >> favor

consent agenda. Does anybody want anything taken out? >> No. The consent agendation. New business. So, we need to we have a scheduling a special board meeting for April 30th at 5:00 pm. It'll be executive session only for student matters. We need we need a motion on that. So, all in favor I >> presentation from Idaho Community Foundation. We're good. Come on up. All right. Use my back talking people. >> All right. >> Yeah. So, >> if you tell us who you are and >> Sure. >> what you uh company. >> You bet. Uh this is I'm Clark Hivven. Used to be the last a phone book. Nobody knows what phone book is anymore. So, Hy V O N. Scandinavian. I'm a uh an adviser philanthropic adviser for the Idaho Community Foundation. I'm based in Boyisey,

but my territory if you want to call it the South Central all the way up Sun Valley all the way down past and so on so forth. So that's my reason to be here. >> So we have discussed um at a meeting in the past couple months ago. Um there are we tried to um we personally tried to make some donations to Mountain Home High School or Mountain Home School programs um through either a donor advised fund which allows you to make donations to 501c3 um or personal donations like scholarships and things like that. And we found not just a little bit of difficulty, but quite a bit of difficulty trying to do that. And I guess in our own interest, make sure that it was tax deductible and making sure it went to the

right place within the program that we wanted to donate to. And so that kind of started a thought in my head and and also um we do a lot of work at St. Tim, >> which has a great the hospital foundation, a great organization that from our standpoint as a contractor, they do amazing things with the money they want. And I have discussed that with James and a few other people and we thought that it might be of interest to create a I don't know the name but a Melon homeschool foundation that you or you or anybody that want wants to make a $50 or $5,000 or $500,000 donation to our schools. have it directed or even not directed with confidence that it will go to the proper place that it's intended for or get

used in a manner that is consistent with growth and development of the school and school programs and also overseen by a public foundation that will be transparent and make sure that you know the the intention of the donation is well taken care of. And doing research on that, I happened on the Idaho Community Foundation and Old Clark and he and I visited a couple of times and um it's got way more information than I do about how those things are handled and how they're funded and how they are managed. And I think the community foundation helps with a lot of that. And so I invited him come to the meeting and visit with us about it. And I'm not sure I I don't believe that it is actually something that would be governed by the

school board. It's an outside foundation. I think that the board and the constituents should be aware of what's going on and what we're interested in doing. >> Now turns over to you. >> All right. Well, the the basics as far as who we are. IDE foundation was founded in 1988. Um, shortly after some of you were born probably, but it's it's been around for about 38 years now. Um, it started humbly, but it's now grown into where we have uh charitable funds in every grants for charitable funds in every county in the state. We are the only community foundation in the statewide. Um we manage over 752 active charitable funds right now including endowments which are relatively sized. Our endowment is exceeds 300 million right now uh and is growing rapidly since things are really

accelerating for us. Um we have uh an investment subcommittee that manages the endowment funds the funds that people entrust to us. probably I think it's about 23 of probably the most intelligent investment people I've run into that used to be my field. It's what I studied and actually had my own practice for 16 years several decades ago now. Um I happened to sit with one of the chairman kind of your position uh by myself once and asked him a question that would have required a fairly technical response my understanding of it. before I could finish the question, he started responding using standard deviations and all these, you know, technical things and it settled for me that these people really know what they're doing and the averages that really support what that they really know what

they're doing. The last in 10 years, the last 10 years, they managed to generate a 9.2% average return, which is exceptional for a conservatively managed uh endowment. Um but what we do is we help connect and her and help uh individuals, businesses, nonprofits like you folks uh school organization put together endowments that can support in this case the school the school system itself governed by whoever the the fund agreement says will give us instruction. We do all the dirty work. We do the compliance. We do the 1099 filings. We do all the the accounting. We we supply reporting for you at any time. You give me a call, John. I can I can get you a statement within 10 minutes. Um so it's it's a very where we do all the dirty work and our

I want to call them clients because we're partners in help and helping people. Um but we've we do all the dirty work and you guys get to do the fun part. Just tell us where to send the funds. And if and in this case you're looking at we have multiple types of funds but in this case you're looking at an organizational fund foundation which is governed by a draft agreement which is reviewed. If it's approved we finalize it people sign it. We manage that based on what that fund agreement says. We don't run it ourselves. Regional council people spec specific to this region will be tell us what's going on so we are informed too. We don't make those decisions. people that signed the agreement and those involved like you folks instruct us on how

to do the to manage the thing. Um, and it's we I'm not here I don't get I don't sell anything. I don't get a commission. I don't get a bonus for bringing business own. If we can help you solve this this uh particular project, we can help you and our there's a fee at 1% that's it. investment management fees 2 to.3 uh 1.2 2 to 1.3 is is the fee annually. It's broken up into four quarters. So, it works out to very very simple. You're not build for it. It's simply goes comes out of the front that's there. Very simple. Um I would be your point of contact for anything that's going on. Our people in Boyisey are more than willing to help if um if I'm out, if I'm out of town or whatever.

Really smart people. We have about 27 people now after having merged with the Idaho nonprofit center. um they keep their ear to the ground on legislative issues that impact school districts and whatnot, taxes, and we know from them what's going on and they serve as our lobby for the nonprofit sector. They're very effective. By the way, um I went to Purdue, the guy that runs that uh part of it, the former president, now vice president of us went to Notre Dame. So we're always going after each other about, you know, our rivalry. Smart guy, really knows what he's doing. He's very well connected. So we always know what's going on as far as legislative issues are concerned. How it works. Um, if you feel this is something you want to take a closer look at,

more than happy to visit as many times as it takes to make it feel comfortable. But like I was telling John, we can create a draft of a prototype of what an agreement might look like. It's not like mortgage stuff. It's about three pages. It is incomplicated and you can see how that would work. If that was something that would be feasible signed, we put that inflow system. It's funded depending on how you want to fund it. How much and in what fashion and then it's available put on our website and it's available to others who would want to add to it going forward. Anybody can can do that. be set up in a way that they can they look out they see it on the website if they don't already know from the people

living in the community um and they can add to it at any time. So they they let us know we give them the wire transfer instructions. They take care of it. It's credited to to the account. So it's it's we've seen some pretty massive results out of that. people that have left legacies um in their will all of a sudden we get this $50,000 contribution to what say a school district or something it's just they're they're related obviously so that's how that's one of the things that it benefits you don't have to go out and do the hard part there all our compliance stuff 99 is drives people crazy we have some very smart people that can take care of that and that's all that's really in a nutshell all it is it's very simple

we know what we're We got good people that work with us and for us and our hearts are for this state and anything that can help people in this state. After listening to that uh that young man Chris and then seeing Sarah and Amy and the other fellow that that's why we do what we do and that's why we're talking right now. I want to help that kind of that kind of thing promote it. To do that there have to be funds. So let's open the door to make that work if it works for them. If it doesn't we're still friends. to buy a coffee somewhere. >> So, Carter, like when you when that when you set that up, what's typical of like would you have on the foundation board? >> What we want. >>

It's whoever you want. >> Okay. >> You You have like I just did. I'm doing one for uh can't disclose. I'm doing two others, two funds each, one endowed, one nonendowed for two different organizations, nonprofits that are doing exactly what we're talking about here. Um, they named one, one of them named six different people, two signed, six governor. The other one just did two. So, it's entirely up to the organization how they want to do that. And if they can they want to change that out, that can happen, too. So, it's not complicated. That one question is how difficult is it to say we put over on the foundation board years from now we decide we want to put Christina on there is it generic just say board members or is it specific to those

individuals and we change names out >> well I think in this case you can specify the board position rather than the individual that would save you having to rename it every time that's how I did that with the the 106 um otherwise you're constantly changing things like this aren't static But they continue their fully. >> So when you typically have like somebody in there like one of those members, you know, you want community involvement in this, right? So if it's functioning outside of school the school districts have community members that are, for lack of a better term, the director of it. >> Sure. >> Yeah. Oh yeah. That's that's all I'm entirely up to. We don't dictate anything on how you want to govern. Okay. Um but in this case for example it would be

chairman chairperson you know trustee number one two three whatever however you I'd wanted to identify that's right in the paperwork so if somebody changes out trustes on four now somebody else that's still in agreement trustes on four >> so I don't have to keep doing different names like see >> yeah it's not easy to put together more questions so you've done this with school districts Are they typically >> community members or schoolboard members? Is it even It seems to me that being a school board member being governed by the school board, at least the majority of school board members would present a conflict. Is that not right? We there was that discussion with one male charter school. I just put not just put together late last year and it was decided to have uh two

non board members participating to give an outside voice to avoid any any perception that it's controlled internally and there's nothing else you can do about it. That's worked pretty well. I've heard there a lot of very happy >> and it's a smaller community too by the way. non district or foreign number seats >> maybe majority of seats that are non not tied to the history what kind of things do these particularly schools what do those donations go to are they mostly directed at a certain program or the majority 32 and you know there aren't thousands of them but ones that I've seen and ones I put together two things operations internally info whatever you find it's necessary and occasionally a scholarship will be identifiable special students and you can direct it to the university that

they decided to apply to and been accepted by don't give it to the kid you give it to the university so you your your foundation board would determine right based on what they're going to distribute it to. >> Yes. Yes. You can you can accept applications or you can specify we're going to identify one or two and some selection committee will make that selection >> and then you instruct us that keeps if we have to do more labor and take the applications and all that the BP of finance is going to say we got to kick the fee out. So I say that because school boards in general I think have better hand on things and as far as scholarships for example than we scholarship that is very >> we have had the benefits of

working with the foundation on some private uh individual setups that they put into place at some time and that's worked very well for our district >> because that it keeps growing and covers more students as we go. >> That's right. >> So, that's been a real positive. >> Well, that's that's the thing about funds. For example, the ones say 9.2 if we were able to manage to continue that distribution rate is four and a quarter%. On $100,4250 a year available without touching the corpus. That means the corpus is still growing >> at 4 and a4%. Now, it's bigger next year. And somewhere down the line all things you know God alone um becomes an exemplary fund which means the amount going up is greater than the amount that was going to contribute. >> That's the

ideal. >> That's how it grows and >> exactly. >> I personally like it. I like the footprint of it. I like the control of it as far as community members involved, >> especially on something like this that we can put out as a district. >> Yes. and have people add to outside of our midways. >> Exactly. We all take take this to heart. Sidebar real quick. We did we partnered with University of Minnesota Extension to do a transfer of wealth study. In this county alone in the next 10 years, you're looking about $190 million transfer. Now that about you could well we're not getting into the weeds on the numbers that could generate roughly $10 million available for improving the community. If we could just harness 5% of that, >> I don't know. I wouldn't

turn away a couple million dollars to to help the community out a little bit. And that's that's one thing that's just in this county. The whole state it's what was it 39 million or billion? Billion million. >> And over 40 years, it's going to be about 150 billion. And that's in Idaho. The state alone. People don't think there's a lot of wealth here. You know, there's enough here to make a difference if they all serve it. So that's why we use this to help people make that happen. >> Another question I have. >> Sure. >> Because I know how people claim it. Is this going to be a C3 or C19? >> This is a C3. >> Yes. Exactly. There are others we've dealt with which are C6s and all the others, you know, but

just straightforward C3. social. How much time do you need? >> Let's see. >> You didn't bring one already. >> I should have by not selling anything. But >> no, it's they do. The only reason it takes any time at all is because we have a very lean staff. I personally just put through six of those things and they're extended to weeks to get them to a point where I can provide them out there before you know that. So, it's not overnight. It'll take I want to say at least a few weeks to to get the work together and so but if sooner great if not all >> I think so. But you know again as soon as I say that tomorrow >> be happy to do that for you. No charge no obligation over >>

05116. >> Yeah that bumps a little bit more. Okay. Do you help with soliciting donation and with developing those funds new letters? >> We have world shows that we do all the time. Not me, but I mean I go and I speak quite a bit. So it's always tapping us, you know, that's part of my job. But we have the INC people, the nonprofit center have people that go out >> and they do road shows and they go to different parts of the state and promote direct people to look at our website which would show this particular film under education or whatever. So it's categorized. >> And by the way, we have a great website. You could go there and learn really informative a lot for that. So >> if you do go out though,

check that lower left button and it'll give you information on that transfer of B stuff. So need to actually order your own workbook. >> Great information. >> I hope it's helpful. >> Something to think about at least I can help further. Excellent. >> I'd be your main contact with John. Thank you. >> CF.org. >> All right. Moving on. >> Revision to the appointments for 2026. Mr. Chairman, members of the board, we have one change that is the technology records facility with Marvin as that appointment. So I'd ask for your approval for a change for the appointment for 2026. >> Do we have any questions on that? >> We'll take a motion. All in favor policy adopts and first reading student health princip policy updated is board policy in 500 student health physical screenings and examinations.

This is a required policy now and so we are asking for approval of it in first reading. It's not urgent. So we'll let it go through the entire policy format with the board. So I'd ask for your approval at the first reading. questions >> we'll take the motion to approve the student health training and examination policy. All in favor I >> policy revision for treating attendance absence policy chairman members of the board we have one policy for revision and this is just changing to the ISBA format board policy 3050 attendance absence control One question for you. >> Sure. >> Are we getting any support or movement from the prosecutor's office about actually supporting us with the trans? >> Any questions on the pro? We'll take a motion to approve. >> Second. All >> in favor?

All right. Football equipment for use of football equipment for summer practices and camps. Who wants to talk? >> I I got it. Mr. Chairman, members of the board, we have a request from uh coach Sutherland and and uh Mr. Bor for approval of the football gear over camp dates. This is simply uh IHSA has already approved this. We're asking for the board to approve it. This helps with our liability insurance on it. So there's an attached letter there with the dates that it would be used. So I would ask for your approval of the Use of the football tournament for summer practice in camp. I appoint the temporary clerk to the board. Christina, we have a second. All >> in favor? All right. All right. Executive session. Labor contract matters and personnel matters. We take

a motion to move to executive session at this time. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> Roll call, please. >> Trusty N. Hi, >> Trusty Perez. >> Hi, >> Trusty. >> Hi, Trusty Gett. >> Hi. >> And Mr. Ch. >> Hi. >> Be it so resolved that the board of trustees school district number 193 recess from open meeting executive sessions for home code title 74 chapter 2 section 74-202 subsection 3 subsection 4 subsection C subsection 6 subsection 10. Open meeting regular meeting executive session section 74-204 subsection 3. Open meeting executive session 74-206 subsection 1 subsection B to consider labor contract matters and consider the evaluation of public school employees. Board of trustee will convene to meet in public session for further business or adjournment of the meeting. We are in executive session folks. Yeah. So
