You can either let the loss define you, or you can achieve glory. I believe all it takes is one step and we start a new story. And it's always been waiting for us. And if
all my plan is to change to claim glory, just take aim on victory and challenge to go closer to not only our goals, but to our future. 008classmates that also support me at tests or work. And to my classmates that may believe they might not make it, all it takes is a moment to make your dream shine. Even though there may come a time when a dream seems so dull, but all we need is a moment. If you had a chance to control your future, would you choose to live a dream or not? The answer it lies in your hands. Once again, I'd like to thank you all for giving this moment of recognition. This is my dream. And it will carry me to the next. To conclude this speech, I would want to leave a few words from the great president John F. Kennedy. He said that don't pray for easy lives, my friends. Pray to be stronger men. I would like to welcome you to this special occasion. Thank you for being here. I'm grateful to have this opportunity to speak in front of you today. I'd like to start off by congratulating all of you in my eighth grade class on our promotion. We worked hard this year and this milestone deserves to be celebrated. Throughout our middle school years, we have learned and grown in ways that will prepare us for the next step in our academic journey. We have learned about setting goals, working on a team, and personal accountability. With the
support given to us by our families, teachers, faculty, and coaches, we have made great strides in our academic and social learning. Whether it came to helping us with a question, giving advice, rooting for our big sale, or coaching us in the game, they all showed that they believed in us and were willing to help us achieve our goals. Without your dedication, you would not have been able to reach this point. This guidance and support is very much appreciated. I would also like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to my family. Thank you to my parents for encouraging my creativity and supporting me in everything I do. I would like to thank my mom not only for writing this speech, but for showering my love of learning and encouraging me to seek knowledge
both inside and outside of school. I would like to thank my dad for teaching me that any possible word is achievable. >> [screaming] >> For giving the greatest solutions to our problems, for being brave, and for picking me up on the way to school when I was upset. If not for him, there would have been many things where I would have done it in the school and they would have done it for me. So many things to talk about. Last but not least, I'd like to thank Jason for his math class and med worship. I know that I would have failed mathematics and may not have made it this far. And I would have been talking to these people together now. Although I had two very special stay ups, thank you. To my siblings and
extended family, thank you all for your support. You may not understand it, but you have all helped me grow into the person I am today. I appreciate all the ways you showed me that you cared for me. To my classmates, as we enter this next chapter of life, I would like to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. Explore. Speaking from personal experience, you may or may not be the best at everything you try, but you still develop skills and create great memories. There's value in trying and no success in failing. So, do not be afraid to put yourself out there, ask for help when you need it, and speak up for what you believe is right. Dare to grow into greater versions of yourself. And if you stumble along the way, get
back up and keep growing. I know with courage and commitment, as long as you put in the hard work, whatever that may be, as Dave Grohl once said, "I don't know what tomorrow brings, but I promise you it will be more." Thank you to everyone who became a part of your journey. To my fellow graduates, congratulations on today. >> [applause] >> At this time, it is my distinct honor to formally present the class of 2023.
