Dr. Sister First is absent. Mrs. Wilson? Here. Dr. Soltero? Here. Uh Mrs. Ervin? Here. Mrs. Pote? Here. And Miss Venezuela. Here. I will make the motion to approve the agenda. I'll second. All in favor say I. I. I. Motion carries four to zero. Any discussion or questions from the floor? >> [clears throat] >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. To the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Amen. Do we have any public comments at this time? Sorry. I will First item of business is the 2025 to 2026 budget review. Yes, uh Uh Mr. President, um in accordance with Arizona statute ARS 15-905 and 15-910, by May 15th, the board may revise the school [clears throat] district annual expenditure budget

after notice has been given and a public meeting has been held. Attached is the district annual budget expenditure budget revision. Your approval of the 2026 district annual expenditure budget revision is recommended. Okay. Any questions from the floor? Yes, Mrs. I uh Mr. Morgan sent me the budget sheets so like 10 minutes ago, so I haven't printed them out. So, I will have them to sign at the Wednesday meeting. So, we'll So, we'll we'll sign them, but usually he just gives us the PowerPoint and then we end up signing the the cover sheet anyways. Okay. But, if you really want to go through the big long sheets, I can have them available on on Wednesday. Okay. Thank you. Our next item up is discussion on We have to I'll make a motion. To approve the budget

to approve the budget revision. I'm sorry. Was that a motion or was that No, it it it's here in the action items. He wanted me to have them on Monday and then well, I don't have it on the agenda. Can I put it on the agenda? But I mean, that's why I didn't know we had to put it on the agenda because it's nothing in my agenda. It has the regular things on it. It's a regular meeting. It's up to you guys. Okay, but I'll make a motion to approve the uh 2026 district annual expenditure budget. I'll second. If there's no discussion or questions, I'll call for the vote. Okay, all those in favor, say aye. Aye. Okay, motion carries 4 to 0. Thank you. Mhm. Uh next up is uh discussion item, discussion of

agenda items. Mr. President, members of the board, a prayer board members request discussion of procedures for placing an item on the agenda is needed. Okay. And I know um I believe that Eric is the one who had requested this item and he's not here, but I will tell you how items get on the agenda. Somebody at the meeting mentions it or if they even call me between meetings, I've got a whole file in my little notepad on budget on school board meetings. So, I make a note at the end of it what needs to be added to the agenda, what items were requested. When Dr. Soltero and I meet to plan the meetings, the first thing I do is pull this out and go back to that page and list off any of the that

are there. Um I know in this particular instance, it was uh the request was to hear from the booster club on football field ideas. And Dr. Soltero and I discussed it and came to the conclusion that there really wasn't a way to discuss grants that would require the matching funds for opening up part of the campus to the public without also including discussions on the school budget and skip receipt. So, a request was made by Mr. that if a change, even one as minor as that, is made into a request, that I got Dr. Salter and called the board member who made that request and let them know what had happened, which I know >> [laughter] >> what you're saying. What have you been doing? >> Yeah, that happened in the past. I didn't do

it with that that one because to me those two issues they couldn't be separated out. Yeah, I do like with you and with a couple others I called and said, "Hey, we changed what you wanted, is this okay?" Or "Hey, is it okay with you if we put it on the next week?" So, that's the procedure. Um and if anybody wants me to change any further, shoot me an email. So, the only thing that I would add to what you're saying is the the president of the board is not the gatekeeper of the agenda. Okay. And you don't ever want to get to the point where you become the gatekeeper of the Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And I'm not saying you're doing that. I In fact, I think you don't do it at all. But I've

been on boards that have done others. And and so just just really important that that we all have confidence that what we and and always have for me at least, anything I've wanted on the agenda I've got I've got on the agenda, right? Yeah. Except for the dinners for the school board I had to run by them. >> [laughter] >> Everything else I've got on there. And so but yeah, that would be my only my only caution to all that >> Yeah. Is that that issue? I know. I appreciate that call from you because that's a concern of mine because I also have been on boards where there there was there was a gatekeeper there that who blocked just because they wanted to. I strive not to be that. So, if I ever you want

me and you disagree with the call, then >> [snorts] >> Anything further on that? We're on to informational items, first of which is reclassified hourly increase of accounts payable for 2019-2020. Mr. President, members of the board, in the April board meeting, the administration asked for an increase in hours for Susan Leone for the classified salary schedule. The administration is also requesting an hourly increase. You have the amount right there for the time spent in the finance office, and you have attached the classified hourly schedule. So, we're you're we're drawing that information. That that is all from here. And we always uh share uh share the uh what we want to do with the title as well. We get another different set of eyes to look at it. So, uh it all looks pretty good. Okay.

Any questions on this? The next item is classified issuance of notices of employment contracts for 2026-2027 [clears throat] school year. Uh you have the attachment, the list of support staff that has uh each staff members and their hourly rate. And so, um here's the information for for all of you guys to see. Yeah, we got to have it by Wednesday. Uh if we don't have it by Wednesday, then we'll just we just won't have it on the agenda for tomorrow. Yeah, I got it. Okay. Yeah. Okay.
