Um want to share these celebrations for so all of the uh community can can be aware. Um Arizona FAS FASA high school champions application for financial aid. The Yahoo Raiders are Arizona FA FAFSA high school champions. AU high school received

003great news on January 6 that our Arizona high school FAFSA completion rate is currently at 74%. AO High School surpassed the goal of 50%. As recognized by Miss Julius Simes, director of financial aid and college access initiatives of the Arizona Board of Regents, the success by the December 31st deadline reflects outstanding leadership, dedication, and teamwork by the high school. These high expectations by the Apple School's administration and the high school teacher were critical in setting up our red raers for future success. The next goal is to support the remaining eight students to complete their FAFSA. AO High School will receive funding for this accomplishment and the administration will be notified. AO High School will also receive a cert a certificate and a formal letter recognizing this incredible accomplishment. I also want to share with everyone

004puma J10 $50,000 grant for architectural drafting construction focus on December 19th 2025. the Mel Camp Willox FEMA J10 Foundation executive director notified AUSD that we were selected to receive a passive grant of $50,000 from the Puma J10 Foundation to support student success and CTE programs related to the industrial trades. Architectural drafting and construction will be will be a focus now. We are extremely excited to be able to receive this flexible funding from PIMA JTE. The AUSD team of Miss Aragon, Miss Cotay, and Mr. Romo submitted a strong proposal which was reviewed and selected for funding by a team of knowledgeable stakeholders from Pum J. This generous AUSD secure funding that will help us continue to provide innovation in the foreseeable future with our CT program. Congratulations once again to our officer raiders and these accomplishments

005that align to the a US division of college and career readiness. Now is a great time to be an ali raider and I just really wanted to recognize these two great accomplishments for the board and for those in attendance and for the rest of the um AUSD community. 009Mr. President, uh Mr. Guthrie, I believe we wanted to uh have both of them share the responsibilities. Um they both have done exceptional work. uh Miss Coar who won the division the region I believe right Miss won the region in her first year as as a as a head coach volleyball Mr. Ron Hernandez is is doing a very good job as the girls in basketball coach but in talking with and Mr. Yon um correct me if I'm wrong Mr. both is either both their first time being head coaches for softball here. Is that right? >> Yes. >> So that's why we wanted to have both of them share the responsibilities work together and just really uh have the best possible um coaching staff as you can see and miss will also be there. So that's

010why we wanted to do this. They both can share their responsibilities and just keep working together. I mean, they they've led our our our girls sports teams all year to exceptional success, but they're also going to be the first time head coaching the softball team. It says I will make a presentation to the board requesting permission to plan and pay for the 2026 senior class trip for board policy. Overnight out of state student travel must be board approved. Um I believe our our our representatives here, correct me if I'm wrong. Uh guys, you guys are also homecoming king and queen, right? So we have some senior class leaders here throughout the whole year. um recommend the approval of the present of the presented 2026 senior class trip sir. >> Okay. Now next item is the approval of the government agreement on the school board. >> Mr. President, members of the board, the 50 byfall project and the Arizona Board of Regents have submitted an IGA inter intergovernmental agreement with the administration of Aqua Flex School District to increase FAFSA completion rates and create a college growing community at the high school level. The project aids schools to reach a 50% FAFSA completion rate by December 31st, 2025 and to pro pursue a 75% FAFSA completion rate or higher by the end of the 2025 2026 academic year. Um, AO schools legal council Mr. Alford has reviewed and approved the attached IGA between 50 by fall Arizona border regard school district. Uh this is a this is an incredible achievement. Um want to recognize miss for her leadership.

013Uh project scope as you can see on page two. Um the support incentive structures support for participating schools. There's one-on-one virtual support, toolkits, virtual trainings for for staff, support for students. Funding should be within 30 days. Currently, AUSD has a 74% completion rate. And I know we have a number several more seniors we want to get to also complete this uh form. uh this amount the incentive amount of 1500 will support FAFSA engagement efforts virtual support and establish a college going community. So it's a it's a win-win. It's we're only 1% away by >> seven. So great news and uh we're doing a great job. So that's a little sir.
