That was the first time we've ever gone to um to uh all the staff at the professional development day at the B conference, the super conference, but also we're starting something new with our student of the month awards. We have for our seventh and eighth grade and 11th and 12th grade students. So, uh every time now every
007month when we have our student of the month awards, we're going to have a student read a testimonial on what it means to them to be selected student of the month. So our first speaker, you can say she's making history in Aaho Unified School District. Miss Jasmine Dor will read. My name is Jasmine Dor. I am part of the junior class and this is my testimony. Being chosen as superintendent through the month is something I'm truly proud of. As a junior, this recognition means more to me than just an award. It's a reminder of how far I've come and how much I've grown. There have been times in school when balancing everything felt hard. Trying to keep my grades up, staying active in school activities, and managing personal challenges outside the classroom. There were days
008when I felt overwhelmed or doubted myself. But I learned to take things one step at a time and focus on being just 1% better each day. Even small progress counts. turning in an assignment I struggled with, asking questions when I didn't understand, or simply choosing to stay positive when things got tough. I wouldn't be here without the people who've helped me along the way. My parents have always believed in me even when I doubted myself. They remind me to stay grounded and never give up. My teachers have been patient and understanding, always pushing me to do my best and remind me that hard work really does pay off. and my friends of course have always been there to make me laugh, support me, and remind me that I'm never alone in this journey. Receiving this
009award reminds me that perseverance, kindness, and a strong support system can turn challenges into opportunities for growth. It inspires me to keep showing up, to keep improving, and to keep representing AO High School with pride. I'm grateful for this recognition and for everyone who's helped me become who I am today. I'll continue to work hard, not be perfect, but to be a little better, a little stronger, and a little braver every single day. Thank you. >> Now, we have our middle school uh students of the month.
