Sure. Um, Mr. Hopkins here, Mr. >> H. Um, Mrs. Olsen >> here. >> Dr. Sero >> here. >> Miss Arhan here. >> Miss Goay >> here. Miss Venezuela >> here. >> I will make a motion to adopt the agenda. >> I will second. All those in favor say I. I. Any opposed? Motion carries four to zero. To the flag of the United States of America to the stand, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. Comments. >> Yes, sir. Mr. President, members of the board, uh, and those in the audience, the administration and true professionals consultant agree and set revising the certified salary schedule for the 2526 school year. It is recommended that an additional $1,000 would be added to the classroom site fund amount allotted to each certified classroom teacher. There's no board action necessary. This
is a study session item only. I believe we have an attachment and uh this is from the classroom site fund where there is that reserve that Tyler has mentioned before the classroom site reserve 301 um that will have a consistent flow throughout 2042. So um uh we're we're in good financial condition with this with this budget source with this cabin. >> So could you repeat what you said the person and He said in a little it's a thou it's going to be a $1,000. Um if you if you I don't know if you see it on your is it on the salary schedule? Is that attached to Julia? >> Yes. Yeah. >> Yeah. It's the the the the base itself isn't going up. It's the classroom site fund component. So that that it's 8421. That's
where the the thousand dollar was added to. Since there's that reserve, there's about 1.3 million more or less in that classroom site fund reserve for 301 for teachers. And that's this is where that's where this funding is coming from. It's not coming from ML. And so the base salary isn't changing with the classroom site fund amount is to give as you see there on the board plus classroom site fun base the green number 9421. Um all teachers get that that increase. That's that's and they're embedded into their base salary. >> So instead of the base changing which happens with the salary schedule, the base would go up, we're changing just the classroom site fund and leaving the base alone. >> So the teacher will still get the money. It just come from a different source.
>> It'll come from Yes. So what's going to happen is is is is Miss Conte and her team going to make they made sure already that that classroom site fund base that amount of 9421 is has that budget source has that object code that shows specifically where it's supposed to come from. It's not coming from M. That way our M is more sustainable in the next three, four, five years. >> Last year was 8421 and then so now with extra,000 it's 9421. I can't put it on the board, but under your Did you get logged in? >> That's fine. Don't worry about >> under the login, it shows what each teacher is going to be receiving. >> And this this is a this is a this is a best practice that other districts do. I
know in Sunnyside, they try and what they do uh is $1,000 increase for their teachers. everyone gets that thousand increase on a consistent basis. So other districts are doing similar similar practices. So when they get this $1,000, I mean next year they could very well not get that $1,000, right? But this this no this that thousand that classroom site fund base that number is going to stay at 9421. Next year it's going to stay at 9421. What might change possibly based on what our finance consultant shared with us is if the base salary, the big number on the top should have an increase. But before doing that, we want to make sure with M& financially sound to do that for can continue that for five to seven years down the road with the classroom site
fun the green number we can do that for a number of years down the road that's going to still be there next year further questions discussion next item is certified contract adjustment for the 256 contract for Yes, sir. Mr. President, members of the board and those in the committee, those in the in the audience, I'm Elizabeth Blanchard is now certified and eligible for a contract adjustment for the 2026 school year. There's no board action necessary. This is a study session item only. And there you have the information. Uh as you see there under administrative content. So, um that's for your information. >> Any questions or comments? Okay, we'll go to the next item. Employment annual substitute teacher review. >> Mr. President, members of the board, the administration brings substitute teacher employment renewals to the board
annually. The following individuals have expressed an interest in substitute teaching for the office schools during the 2526 school year. We have Kathy Morales, Morris Bowser, Adeliki, Dominion, Gerard Fernandez, Tom Bosber, Tom Shank, and Oscar Cis. There's no board action necessary. This is a study session item only. [Music] >> They're all they're all good. You all do a good job. >> Further discussion. >> Um I actually have a question. Uh Mr. Fernandez, who's he who's he subbing for? He I will share that with Mr. I have the answer for that as far as he's 56 but she can talk more detail about Mr. Mr. Mr. >> Mr. [Music] Okay. >> Okay. So, if these teachers the these substitutes are studying longterm, are they getting compensated for the long termness of it? >> That is a very
good point, Miss Olsen. And and that's something that I would like to share at the next board. >> Okay. >> Long-term compensation. >> Okay. >> Anything further on that? >> Classifying approval of additional contract hours for >> Mr. President, members of the board, uh the administration and the grounds and custodial managers are recommending Carl Waganda, a par professional at Aaho schools be approved for an increase in hours each week from uh 30 as a parapro uh to 10 and grounds or custodial staff for a total of 40 hours. Um Mr. and Mr. Cotton and I interviewed Mr. Rally last week. He has some real good experience and to make a long story short, we could use that extra help or we could use the extra help of both departments. So they're going to have the
luxury, Mr. Cot Mr. of of collaborating and figuring out u words the highest speed right now for those extra 10 hours. But he he's very dependable. He's doing great work with the exceptional student services department. And now he's going to be able to do 10 more hours a week helping out grounds and custom. >> Okay. Question or comments? >> Okay. Next item, extra pay positions. >> Yes, sir. Mr. President, members of the board, um the following individuals have expressed an interest in the corresponding extra paid positions. Uh Menendez, district testing coordinator, Harry Mio, yearbook adviser, Delaroma, National Honor Society, and Munes, Volunteer Volleyball. Uh there is no board action necessary. This is a study session item only. >> Questions or comments on this item? We have three different >> Yes. Yes. Mr. President, members of
the board, that's that's an oversight on our part. Um we should not have uh we should not have those names in there yet. So that's um >> we'll have that information possibly for you Wednesday. >> Okay. Mr. and his team are going to talk to the other candidates between now and Wednesday. >> Okay. Thank you. >> If there's nothing else on that, we'll go on to item F. Approval of disposal of outdated AV. >> Mr. President, members of the board, the Sun Library was approved at the June board meeting for extra contract days for the month of June to inventory library books and clean out the media center storage area. Attachment of the listing photos of additional AV equipment that needs board approval for disposal. Per statute ARS 15341G and 15342 AR72 1131 and 2
CFR 2313 school district must complete a request for authorization to dispose of district property from and submit to form and submit to the zoning board to approve it prior to disposal trading sale and transfer. There's no board action necessary. This is a study session item only and we just we're trying to be proactive with uh whatever we don't need to just try and get ahead of keeping it from building up to where we have a lot of stuff all over the place >> entertained by that any questions or discussion Patricia, I don't think they're ties now. They're magazines and clear. >> Ah, okay. >> Okay. Next item. Approval of you for Southwest Behavioral Health Service. >> Yes. Um All right, Mr. President, members of the board, um the administration is asking for board approval of
an MOU with Southwest Behavioral Service and Health Services for the 2526 academic year. Southwest board approval will provide mental health services, substance abuse counseling, parent training, and family counseling to students and families in our district paid for by the school safety grant. No board action necessary. This is a study session item only. Any questions or discussion? If not, I'll go on to item H. first meeting of governing board policies 909. >> Yes, Mr. President, members of the board, you have the attachment there. Um, what I will do is is I will just, as we've done before in the past with previous uh policy advisories, I'll just um kind of go through the initial cover page and then just highlight the pages where there's new information. Um, the following policy advisories are derived from enactments of
the 57th legislation first regular section 2025. These are indicated by references to the bills and/or statutes that have either been newly created or altered by the legislature. All applicable policies have been revised to align with these enactments. Policy advisory number 909 policy EB environmental and safety program. Policy advisory number 910 policy GCQF discipline suspension and dismissal professional staff members. Policy advisory number 911 policy IKF graduation requirements. Policy Advisory number 912, JLC, Student Health Services and Requirements. Policy Advisory number 913, JLCB, medicines, administering medicines to students. Uh policy advisory number 914, JLF, reporting child abuse, child protection. Uh no board action necessary. This is a study session item only. uh for your information on on policy uh advisory number 999. The first on page four, there's those three sections where all that underline is is what's
going to be new to uh called EB safety program, school safety programs, personnel and emergency response plan and safety assessment. So if you remember the board um you guys passed the emergency operations plan, I believe spring of 2024. So, so you know we're ahead we're ahead of the game there policy advisory number 910 page 15 you have um on page 15 the top state board of education those two paragraphs those are the new parts to the policy the underlying section uh policy advisory number 911 I believe page 20 and 21 you have the parts there this is as it pertains to um IKF grad graduation requirements on page 20 and 21 you have the the last section on the bottom on assessments and at the top one two and three and just the other parts
underlying written assessment. So those are all um the new parts for this policy policy advisory number 912 page 24 you have for JLC student health services and requirements GH and I the underlined parts are all the new uh the new sections for this policy and uh pages 26 and 28 to policy advisory number 913 um and talking about this with the miss today that term that is is is stated now epinephrine delivery systems the epien we're all well familiar with with that term so it's epinephrine deliver delivery systems on those pages um and then also policy advisory number 914 JLF pages 32 to 33 those underlying sections um departmental Child safety case worker visits ID must be uh must be displayed caseworker DCS identification the top of page 33 uh department of child services um
ID or DCS office number of the case worker. So those are the uh the new parts for each policy. So, I just thought I'd highlight highlight that for you and you can look over some more today or some more today between uh between today and Wednesday if anything um anything stands out or but that's pretty much uh pretty much it. Any question on that? Okay, we're on to possible new agenda items for next week. on the third. Okay, I will make a motion for the >> second. All those in favor say I. >> I motion carries four to zero. Repeat it once before.
