to pay what? What are we paying the the cafeteria trash? The what? The cafeteria. They put on the dumpsters. Oh, okay. So they all that? Yeah. Okay. I see your trailer going to the dump all the time. Yeah. at least once twice especially around the summer and the garbage control won't take any green um they won't take like the treeings and stuff like that so we still have to to keep waste management open and Tyler technologies that's is this Tyler Tyler tech is is this finance software that it says right there the the district um the district has used the visions program for payroll and finance since 2002. So, so pretty much that's what we're what we use right now. Tyler Tech is our finance software. Okay. So, I think your question was is that

referring to Tyler, it's not because this has been in place since 2002. Yeah. Tyler Tech is under uh Tyler Moore is true professionals. This is Tyler Tech our visions where we have all the documents for payroll everything. We run our our budget, all our fixed assets, inventory, payroll, all of our account bills, it all runs out of I wondered the exact same thing until I saw that when it says he's been we've been using that since 2002. I know we've only had Tyler Moore for a couple years. On to the next item, which is approval of disposal library books and updated. Mr. Mr. President, members of the board, um Sana Leon, library aid was approved at the June board meeting for extra contract days for the month of June to inventory library books and clean

out the media center storage area. Uh there you see in two attachments, book one and two are the number of books that are all damaged or have not been checked out for years. Uh the third attachment is a list of of other equipment that just really is is obsolete. And so um per statute ARS15-341G and 15-342 AAC R- R7-2-131 and 2 CFR 2000 313 school district must complete a request for authorization to dispose of district property form and submit to the governing board to approve it prior to disposal trade and sale or transfer. No board action necessary. This is a study session item only at this time. That's how it starts. You start burning books. Do we have any questions or discussion on that? We go to the next one. Approval of fundraisers for student

activities. Mr. President, members of the board. Uh this is per uh USFR that she started hearing. It's a best practice um uh in consultation with Miss Roya Fernandez, our high school student council adviser. The following fundraisers are being submitted for early approval for USFR. There you have all of the uh fundraisers listed. Um and this is a standard fundraisers of what is done from our high school student council. There is no board action necessary. This is a study session item. Any questions or discussion on that item? The next approval of student activities treasure. Mr. President, members of the board of Arizona rewrite statutes 15-1122 states. Any school district having student activities money shall establish a student activities fund and appoint a student activities treasurer. The administration is recommending Angelina Valenuela district and superintendent secretary be

appointed as a student activities treasur for the 2526 school year. No one board action necessary. This is a study session item only. Any question or comment on that item? and we'll go to the first reading of governing board policies 9006 through 90. Okay. Um Mr. President, members of the board, uh the following policy advisories are derived from enactments of the 57th legislature first regular session um 2025. Although the current legislative session while the ch state has adjourned, the recently signed bills have implications on planning for school operations. New legislative impacts include updates for mandatory reporting, wireless communication devices and internet access and expanded parental notice and authorization for school directory information. Um I can read each policy and and its title and then u you have the attachment I believe if there are some questions

we can go through since there is only three u three policies and if there's anything uh that you wanted to talk about. So the first is policy advisory number 9006 policy JNDB use of technology resources and instruction regulation JNDBR use of technology resources and instruction policy advisory number 907 policy JL F reporting child abuse child protection policy advisory number 908 um policy JR student records regulation JRR student records no board action necessary this is a first read I only um want to I have just uh there's just a lot of uh different underlined parts just new new uh on page four I believe on your on your attachment use of technology uh the bottom of page four that's that part section letter B is is is new um go to page five go to page

page six um there you see uh page six letter Teachers are allowed to give students access to social media platforms to the extent necessary for educational purposes. It talks about wireless communication devices. Just some more new information. Uh for educational purposes as directed by the students teacher. So there you see some more uh parts that are underlined that are new. Uh parent notification. The district shall provide to parents, teachers, and students a copy of the adopted policies. Notify the parents, teachers, and students of any changes to the policy. Just you see at the bottom of page seven definitions. Page eight. Go to page nine the regulation. Um page nine B. Um limit the use of wireless communication devices by students during school day. Just more of page 10. Page 11 there you see some of

the new parts that are underlined. Accept talking about acceptable use or towards the bottom of page 11. Students may use wireless communication devices and stay there for educational purposes as directed by the student's teacher. Um 11, page 12, go to page 13. Um middle of page 13 um is discussing about uh sharing the report with the uh with the with the uh as far as what it goes to the report to school resource officer or school safety officer. Also, you have to continue to do even more reporting to law enforcement agencies. So, that's on page 13. Um, page 14 talks about some more new information towards the bottom. It has page 16, I believe. Page page 14 and page um Okay, page 15. Um page 16 you have definitions of school safety officer, school resource

officer, peace officer. So there it states peace officers, means sheriffs of counties, contacts, marshals, policemen of cities and towns. So there it has some more information. 16 you go to advisory number 90 student records. Page um 18, page 19 talking about furpa fur rights parents of fur rights. Page 20 has quite a few new information, directory information, just more new information there. Um, so Miss Adam and I were just going over this about how how would it would apply and just she has a pretty good uh system in place. Um, 20 page 21, go to page 22, JRR, student records regulation. Not a lot in the first few pages of new information. Procedure to education records. 25 26. Page 27. Uh permission to release personally identifiable information. There's some new underlying information there. Page 27,

but most of it is is stays the same. So just got to go through that. This is only three policies. But that's that's pretty much it. Okay. Any question or discussion on that item? And next item is possible new agenda items for the future meeting. Haven't seen the agenda for Wednesday, but are we going to get a report from the students? I believe uh I'm going to my staff will be taking care of that. He's out right now. He's not here right now. So uh we'll go ahead and and we'll we can give pretty much the update as far as of for school safety and how that you know as far as that topic that was brought up for for pretty much the the vision of of what's going to take place. Um he is

not here right now at this time. he is out and so we can go ahead and take care of that and and when he does get back we can have him still come in person and just kind of still give an update but we can go ahead and just give what we have as far as uh the focus that that office is going to have restorative practices um kindness initiative continue to continue to expand on the kindness initiative but also I know Miss has some data she can also share so we can still give some information when he does come back. I'd like to hear from him as well. Sure. Sure. Yeah. But you know, he just at this time he's he's he's on right now. He's not here. Okay. Can we hear on Wednesday

he's going to get a report on how the budget cuts from last Tuesday affect the district? We can if you'd like. you know, um I can have uh if Miss Plate feels she can have it ready for for this Wednesday, I can have her uh do that or the next meeting in August. But um we can figure something out. Are we talking about specifically the one that Tyler mentioned, the title title one, title two, three, and four? The one that's pending for release from the federal government? I think it was Yeah, it was the one that on Tuesday they decided not to res. That's probably the title one to federal grants. It's the six billion. Yes. That after that came out, title title one, two, three, and four is what we found out also is

is is on hold right now. Is on hold right now. So, yes, she can um check with her and see if she has information. I can put something together. It might not be allowed, but something for Wednesday. Sure. Okay. Anything else for future meetings? Then I will make the motion to second. All those in favor say I. I. Any opposed?
