uh Miss cot will be taking over the grants coordinator responsibilities effective January 2025 she has uh met with our finance consultant Tyler Moore to review planning the Grant's coordinator position and their responsibilities she also attended with Miss Jinger Wy our finance analy December 9th the ASCO grants professional development at the Pendergast Elementary School District um Mr Casey has a full plate long story short he's dean of students data analyst power school coordinator and also did sr3 grants coordinator in addition to what where he's at with with the tieline appeals officer so uh we've had a discussion with all the parties involved uh his focus on on dean of students and data analysis is critical enough and that's going to be it's a very important role that will help only not only him to be successful

but that will help Miss be successful and help our entire school be successful so miss miss cot is going to be meeting with him to see where uh each of the grants are what detail is needed next a completion report what have you but um she's already been well informed and well prepared and that's where we are is so I just wanted to share that thank you very much so PR comforable absolutely yes she she's uh she's researched the grants the process and the finance adist team of Missus and Miss Wy have been also very helpful but the ASO training was was very productive I believe there was 80 grants coordinators Finance staff members who attended this training and and the whole the whole district office is going to train miss valuel miss M so

these have been ongoing trainings that our whole district office has been attending and she wanted to be proactive and she went to the grants training on Monday so she has to handle her grant for her program for her prek program so she has experience and uh and we believe she's ready she's going to get a lot of support any question discussion all those in fav all those opposed passes for to next up we have approval of the 2025 board meeting calendar Mr President members of the board the board is expected to adopt the meeting calendar at the beginning of each fiscal year additional board meetings may be scheduled with a 24-hour notice scheduled meeting dates may be changed within a 24-hour notice below are the proposed study and regular session meetings for 2025 yearly calendar

is attached with affected holidays marked in red and meetings marked in Blue uh just a few details here uh April 7th and 9th uh in that month I believe Good Friday is is April 18th is that right so just a few details there um to start January 13th like we said we'd be coming back from a twoe break January 6 so it may not be the best time as far as the New Year the first on the Wednesday Thursday Friday preparation long story short if we would have a little bit more time to prepare coming back right after the new year so uh but it looks good we we we looked it over and um and um Administration is recommending the above dates as scheduled wardening dates for 2025 Mr a second but I would

like a change so in August we likely will start school August 4th right yes ma' so if we're moving January back down a week to the 13th because of a two- week break why would we not move August down one week also for that same reason that's is there reason well well no I well no I I my big thing was is I did not like how the school year started with the whole preas situation because they with you know we had first day school and a board meeting and I did not care for that personally yeah that I was more asking for something critical for the board in that for who has the school starts or it's not well that would be really um you know uh be up for you guys to discuss

some more or um that's open for discussion I mean U I know we normally always had the meeting the 4th and the 6th which is the first day study sessions on that first Monday um but I see your point um because if we're doing that for January why are we not doing it for August when school starts do the same yeah well we had we had discussed that we had just really talked about the January because of the new year but that would be something um you guys we have two options either I can amend the motion with that change in or we can approve it like it is and change it change very that's that's a good point that's what it says right there metion um I'll approve with the change made that the

August meetings be mov to the 11 13 second I'll second all those in favor I all those opposed passes as next up we we have second reading of the AL Unified School District governing board policy adoption Mr President members of the board um for the second reading now just to focus again on the explanation here which pretty much thms it up on October 21st 2024 Arizona State Board of Education SB approved a revision a board rule aacr 72401 g4a that is immediately effective this revision impacts individualized education program requirements particularly in the area of transition services including the inclusion of an estimated graduate tion date aacr 7241 g4a and written notification of parents of the anticipated graduation date aacr 7241 G4 AI these changes are noted in the appropriate sections of ihp special instructional programs

and you and we reviewed some of those changes primarily estimated graduation date um it was 47 pages long as we saw and the pages really started to take shape on page 32 mostly some some grammatical changes and and you we went through that on on Monday so uh the attach policy is recommended for approval um on second I thought I uploaded it Dr and I looked at it and I I could have SW I did but I didn't um our previous two title n coordinators um made this page for our website um and I I have to change it now that when we're going to uh approve the the new decision maker then this name is going to change here on our website but um on our website here's the whole um what's Title 9

how to fill out the form filing a complaint all that stuff um that if somebody calls we can direct them to the website where all of the forms and and the contact information is there forms are going to be correct right with the correct name on them because last oh I have to yeah I have to get with um the new coordinator and and change all of those um because before today it was still this other okay so but if if um if anybody needs it I I forgot that we had this when we were discuss it on Monday but this page is here on our website under the um about us all the way down on the so if anybody's curious this is usually where we motion all those in favor allos passes 4

to Z up we have the possible new agenda item for next meeting anybody on the board have I would like an update on middle of the Year Benchmark testing and if we can get it I guess the same form form it at the beginning of the year so that way we can compare laterally yeah I mean I think it was um it was divided into subgroups recording so then we can see how each subgroup progressed okay so from the beginning of the year to the middle of the Year okay we right the windows corre anything else okay then we are set [Music] to for
