001Mr K just pres miss olon here Mr G here M Rodriguez here Dr here Mrs AR move all in favor say I any say no United States of America see I have three people to make public comments I'll just call you up that we have here but first to visitors are welcome to speak on agenda and non-agenda items comments are limited to 3 minutes please State your name and address prior to making your comments please note that members of the board may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda therefore action taken is limited direcly to the administration to look into the matter responding to criticism or scheduling the matter for future consideration and the first comment I have here is from L ENT do I get up and yes yes what

002do you want all right I'm I'm a resident of alaho Arizona none of you know me that's who I am my daughter is in the third grade class she's in Miss's class and that's the reason I'm here to talk to you about what's been going on and I can only attest to what my daughter has experienced what I have experienced with my interactions with Miss aella and I do not see anything there that causes me any type of concern all I can go is that my daughter goes to school she wishes to go to school she has no prer to go to school and we see consistent growth in the test that she does and we always learn something new from her and we always ask her how did you do what happened that we

003C concern anything that happens we always ask the teacher what can we do to rectify this be IT issues with another student issues with the agenda the assignment whatever at the same time while this event did happen there denying it happened I want to say that I do understand that there is a type of cultural difference had been someone from states that be a little bit more might be myet but as I understand that she is not from the states and there is a cultural difference getting used to the idnes of the American culture has to be taken into account and into effect we have to understand that at the same time I understand that this is an isolated incident I do not know I can only go what it's based on what my daughter

004tells me and my interactions with the teacher and I also ask that the school board as well as any type of disciplinary reaction that might be taking place that should take place because this event did happen but what is the frequency of the complaints is this an isolated event when we look at the attendance records is there an important amount of absences when our children come home they be getting complaints that they don't want to be there that's what I want to know and I also want to know what is it progress in this classroom is this classroom underperforming are your children getting all the marks that's something to take a look at something you think about before we start going wild making complaints that's where we want to go at I know that when

005my daughter comes home she's always happy she's always going around running telling what she learned and everything like that and I'm glad to see that if that's not the same for any other parent in this classroom that has third graders you know F and at the same time what is The credibility of these complaints is it someone that is trying to see retaliation is it something that is going on where there an event an incident took place and disciplinary action was a result that's something to think about at the same time so that's something that I want everybody to understand that is where I am coming from my interactions with Miss and I feel compelled to remind us of two Greek philosophies allegory of the cave these children were raising them we teaching them we

006send them to school and they the board is prisoners but they're not prisoners they're young to we send it to the classroom hopefully they come back out they come out as I did not know there's minutes let me finish because they are coming out I want them to be better people and if they AR coming back as better people back and next person Carolina good evening my name is Carol I live here in a our daughters in the third grade class I'm not here to excuse what happened it was wor negligence and there was rations from that there were children hurt there were parents upset I think it's natural for parents from the moment the child is born to want to protect them and take care of them to be heartbroken when something happens their

007child they weren't there to protect them I never had a bad experience up to this point in this she's always answer our emails immediately she's always told us when our daughter would be too much of a social bug so we could get with her about it and our daughters always showed Mark Improvement in class what I want to know from the school is how did this happen the lesson plan failed the teacher went online to find an activity that correlated with the lesson and made a mistake and found something terrible we all agree on that so what is the school's process and procedures is there a vetting process where these things need to be turned in beforehand so other eyes are on these on these papers and they can see that this is not appropriate

008or maybe this is IR relevant to lesson what's the procedure that we're taking with our teachers let them know that the lesson doesn't work out that day but that's okay we can move on let's do something else are they feeling pressure to go forward and make it work regardless of the children are telling him hey there's bad words on this we shouldn't be looking at it are they trying to just make it happen the situation didn't go well she didn't handle it well and I'm sorry for her but she's not a bad person and we each make mistakes and I I truly feel sorrow for her and for the children for the parents what whatever does happen there needs to be a vending process put into place where lesson plans are turned in and the

009materials are looked over before they're given to the children that was my concern thank apologize in advance if I up your last name p p Ronald my name is Ronald Pisha I live at 220 West 9th Street uh as an employee with Arizona Youth partnership I'm able to work here on campus with different age groups we teach too good for drugs this year I've been able to teach in the third grade class when walking into the classroom children will acknowledge and greet visitors every time and they will sit in their seats after I have never observed any undesirable behavior from the teacher nor have any of the students advised of such I can say with certainty that the third grade class participates more and is the most respectful class we teach in and right now

010we're teaching in the third seventh eth and ninth grade class and that says a lot whenever you have young children that are more respectful and more uh quiet more participating than all the other age groups that we're we're teaching at the moment I did watch the Youtube video of the previous meeting and although I think the letter that was present it to the children was a mistake I do not believe it was with malicious intent thank you for letting me speak next up we have governing board [Music] report yes Mr President M of the board um you have you should have a an attachment right here can you you pull that I'll just go Ahad and this right here while she pretty sure'll aull it up I will it here and I can send it

011to uh we had a parent coffee October 30th with the exception of student services we had the team uh present we had uh the director teachers bed office manager and consultant and they presented to um parents and staff a special education process child find initial evaluation reevaluation multidisiplinary evaluation team review of existing data eligibility determination meaning and individualized education plan parts of the IP so um what I just want to highlight for you is uh the multidisciplinary evaluation team there's basically two parts there's part one review of existing data red meeting um some of the critical points here are prer special education evaluations are looked at current academic information current functional achievement information also a very important permission to evaluate inform current consent calendar days to complete valuations and as always what is needed is

012um the prior written notice um multi-disciplinary evaluation Team part two eligibility determination meeting met two as we uh the team released all evaluations conducted discussed the results of the evaluations um this is a this is very critical that I wanted to share with the board in this article have talked about this but this is a team decision based on the needs of the student there sufficient data not anecdotal information and once again there must always be a priority notice that is involved to share with parents individualized education plan parts of the IEP focus on present levels of academic and functional performance strengths and needs it's very important to have goals um accommodations and modifications least restrictive environment all decisions in the IEP are team decisions based on the specific needs of the student and once

013again throughout throughout this whole process the prior written notice is very critical and so um Mr darar is our special ed director Mr P and Mr speu are our special ed resource teachers M osz as our office manager and also Mr straw serves as our consultant and in this document um that I will send to you there is a key information from mariza Department of Education evaluation reevaluation regulations reference document parent request for evaluation flowchart so it has a lot of critical information that that was shared with our guest at our at our parent coffee we're going to have another one that we have time we want to have another special education parent coffee that we have said for December 4th what we want to do is get some feedback from the parents sent out

019all right so next up we have cons I makeove before we vote I want to point out because somebody not part of the cons is $10,000 to support app so now hold on I have a question' um it's probably more for ginger why are we just now voting on the booster club stuff like why are we just now voting on accepting that or is that for you that's it's a question yeah so when um I took an ASO Workshop in um August 30th and we've been trying to take more finance and and things like that uh just because we're all new to school Finance one of the things in in um in school finance that I didn't realize I mean we we always approve monetary donations like we get check or something like that but

020um the person that was there said oh um make sure you always do any physical item also give donated to you whatever on the donations so that it officially belongs to the school so then as Jinger K test uh like right after like the first week of September I was emailing um Julian and I said hey give me a list of all the stuff that you know so far so put it on the board together and then she would get busy I would get busy and then I would it would pop back in my head and I was like hey I really really need a whole list of stuff from last year and this year that you give to the school and she'll say oh yeah yeah I'll get it and I'm like okay we

021miss the board meeting make sure that you know you send it to me we'll get on the next board meeting and then our path have been Crossing and then finally when they were doing the thing in the cafeteria at the last meeting I like grabbed her and was like I need a list and she was like no she goes I will send it to you today and so then like that night she sent to sleep so it was just back and forth between us one I didn't know that learning that part of it that's one of the things that we need to have so the school does show record of it and coming in where they can't come back and say hey we gave this you we want it back it's like no it belongs

022to the school part of the balance sheet and it's here so and I never knew that it was a monetary thing because we've never taken the CES before we've already we've always done the uh you know we've gotten check from this person who we gotten you know donations for that tax credits I don't have to do because that's a normal thing but then they said that's what they said at the at the Student Activities was that if you get anything from PTO PTA p c whatever that it has to be on the board and I was like hey I can just put it on the work took a while to get a list this particular one is listed as a side Grant from Freeport because there's three other grants smaller grants that we're going to

023be getting which this side Grant came Rita um who is the representative for free report she has the ability to go through and I I believe like once go through and approve for whatever cause it is and everything else so it's a site Grant but it's it's more of a contribution and how it is where there's not a lot of stipulations on it but there was the need for the pr um I have a question on um the Boost reading license is that just going to be another computer based reading Intervention Program that we're buying bleeding Li that it's um the amplify education boost reading site license uh intervention site license stuff it comes out to like $112,000 what are you um let me see the voucher approval think the first link yeah the very

024221 okay the [Music] this what amplify right yes and the Boost reading site so I mean the site license that looks like another computer based reading program I think this is part of the whole plus I you say the sweet so it includes the N plus intervention the M plus assess and then the Boost reading side I think that that's the we did we have and we have this for three years already this is our third year with them it's all part of the same uh the boo reading is not one of the differentiated student um computer reading programs I don't I just know that it's Alli it's just raising flags for me because I'm thinking oh my gosh here we go with another computer-based reading program rather than having our director ction which I

025don't like I believe it's more like just this is part of the additional resource because we're still doing the iners instruction but we also this is a supplement that help us all in favor say I I all oppos say no approve next up we have certified for Mr President excuse me the Administration has se approval to pay an a for jail during period or special classes recommend the approval of Anna as a jail 242 second discussion all in favor say I all oppos say no next up we have classified reservation of par teachers a de Mr President M of Bo de schools submitted resignation she is moving out of state her last work October 20 2024 recommend the approval of the resignation of De BR as the teers off say I say no up we

026have volunteer position basketball coach nun Mr President members of board ar ar Nunes who has been interviewed and has her iidp fingerprint card is requested to be a volunteer coach for the girls basketball team recommend the emplo the employment of R nun as volunteer girls basketball coach for a motion make motion discuss okay um all in favor say I I say no approved by this next up we have the approval of B for a instructions Mr President MERS of the board all whoi issu request proposal RFP 20251 for the annual audit Services which must be Reid every five years a current RS RFP has expired multiple emails of the solicitation were sent out in addition a newspaper posting was also completed advertising for audit Services one response was was received by the due date recommend

027that RFP 20251 the annual audit Services be awarded to CWD motion so what did you think about theice was the only one we got back you're happy with what they did um it's a requirement every year um so we with the new team happy I just asking you how do you feel about it um it's a requirement that we have to do and we have to have and and there's no other we went out to bid it would have been nice if other ones but I guess it's such a specified you know and we're so small here and everything else that a lot of them don't pick it up so it would have been nice to get a different perspective from another um a lot of the ASO classes are taught by hfield and me

028which is another accounting firm and but they don't deal with smaller schools or they learn interested in our B so thank you all in favor say I approve say no okay up we have booster club report Mr President members of the board PR request of a board member Jinger Ry and Dr will report on Al scho relationship with the AL booster club no board actually necessary at this time going to turn this over to miss Wy and Miss they have some information to share with the board on working with the booster club including this past I believe Friday November 1st we had our first ever tailgate for homecoming the club thank you where they did complete the necessary documentation for the trust to make sure that viability insurance was was was present but also uh

029uh specifically this this tailgate uh this is a good connection with the Hoster club and it's also land policy KF which this talks about having this kind of partnership but Ginger and um if I can start on this Dro and I met with the booster club board on July 1st um to get prepared for you know what the year was going to bring and everything else and they came to us with a couple of things Lisa coil and Melissa Marino one was tailgating which I always look at the side of like what's the liability um and then um then with selling and I this is one of the things that have come up too so we went and we reached out to our insurance compan the trust and there's a facility use handbook that everybody

030who uses the scho property has to go through use um it has they have to have a general liability policy on their own um and it has like I believe the minimum is a million dollar coverage so they the Boost Club a booster club already had that in place and everything else so it was very easy for them I know in the future with other people I've had people ask and it's like I hand them this and they kind of look at it but it does walk it through um the trust Alliance they've been very helpful to Lily that we work with there submitting everything to them getting the approval back so we went back and forth um to go so it was nice that we started this in July because we got the approval

031mid October then last Friday night was the tailgate which I believe it was a real success with the school the booster club um there were a couple things that came up about money exchanging hands there's with the Auditors and everything else there's things that we have to follow the booster club has been very good about that um ticket sales and the punch cards and stuff like that so um I attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting last week too that the booster club presented and they all the information that they had done with the school and stuff too so it's been a very positive in my eyes experience um there are some things that I feel could be changed or you know policies or whatever or you know to make it a little bit better but

032for now I was one of the well I don't know if Trish is part of dist Club are no okay School Board the conflict of interest right right so um but it would have been nice ni to have one of them here so I don't know if you have the policy that you have in front of you we use for everything I I have to use it it's a it's um Community use of school facilities um and that's our little like handook policy whatever um but we wanted to make sure that we gotted all the eyes across all the's so um Ginger when she reached out to the trust the trust handbook supersedes what we do as uh as um government of our policy um if you've ever seen the the the triangle that um

033I know it's been presented before where it's like the federal the state the county level the uh and then the district level as where as policies go down because the the trust is our liability insurance anything that they say supersedes for policy because there eventually is going to cover something happens or there's an accident or what so um we use their basically it's all the same stuff it's just coming straight from the trust so that's the stuff we use but has the same thing it's a million dollar policy they have to fill out a form they have to agree that you know likes all of this stuff that anything that happens um within the facility you know that the district can't be liable for um they have to have the staff member um you know

034with them at all times they can't use the kitchen or the burners because or they have to have a food handler cart all of that different kind of stuff we've done it um we do it a lot actually for the um the auditorium all counts for the Fine Arts um rents it out whenever they want to do plays we recently had an environmental um impact survey they want to do something on the border so the Air Force or the Army um had company and they came down and they looked around and they uh they put posters and they um so they had a open like open house and open meeting house um to show them what they were going to plan that the IR environmental impact and all that stuff and they rent for um

035the facility from us uh George was there he attended um they had armed guards and they asked if it it was okay so this this type of stuff we do all the time with different or organizations um if uh if you remember the uh the bike club that that road from Phoenix to they go all the way TOA for like two or three days during the summer it always happens during softball season I don't know wife um they would rent out the gym and then they're one day and then they sleep in the gym for the night and then they pick it up and then they go out to to raise money they did that for like 10 years so we have a strong um policy of using uh school facilities and it we just

036have to follow the policy they have to have the liability insurance and then they have to we have to know ahead of time if they're going to charge to attend and what the charges are and then on the back and part of that policy Dr sotero signs all of them or um and they they say yes we are going to charge them and in that policy there's P scale if it's a um a nonprofit there's different charges for then if it's a it's a regular organization there's different charges for the football field and the cafeteria the gym um whether you're going to use a softball field then what you're going to use it for um a border tool uses our gym all the time for their uh their weight with them and stuff like that

037that they don't have a an actual gym or the Army to they use the Track Transport their P test so this isn't anything new we just wanted to dot all of our eyes and I think it works really good until the people started coming from the cafeteria to the football game and I was like oh my gosh how are we going to charge these people to get into the game and then so I ran to Julian and I was like and then she goes I didn't think of that either and I was like none of us did and we all just and she goes I'll just do quick head count they kept track of all the the plates and then the booster club just rot us a check for all of those people that paid

038to get it so it works out and we've been doing that at every games we've been doing the punch card and then I text Julian or Kelly and I say hey there was three people with the punch card and then they show up the next day with the check or you know three people or there was four people or whatever our ticket sells half the match with our audit and submitted at the same time and that was one of the things that we stopped because it's like okay how are we going to do this where it happens all where all the people work can be together so we work that out too which has been a good thing I do have a question so I know that club when they did their T part they

039didn't really use the cafeteria it just like staged in there so is there a fee for that we I didn't know if there because I didn't see anything on here I didn't know if there was like like something for that yeah there was no fee and that that was one of the things with Dro it was no let's see how this goes and we wanted to kind of keep it it was nice that we planned ahead to keep it you know some people are like tell party yay let's you know celebrating you know alcohol and everything else and it's like no so it was it was contained and you know I think it was a good positive outcome questions and that's just for the use of facilities here right when they're posting anything here yes

040yes and what about like um I know they've had issues with selling is their programs they can't do that on campus they don't sell programs on campus yeah they do it out they do but there are obstacles right they can't not allowed to do fundraising on campus and see this has been a back and forth thing I know like when I was with them at the cafeteria one of the attendees of the Tate party wanted a sweatshirt with a a hoodie and every or a long sleeve shirt or whatever and the booster club didn't sell it I came in and got that so we're trying to work on that I know that um they're also Mary Pat has offered space in her store to sell booster club um swag and everything too merch yeah um

041but I know because the school has a store and the booster club and there has been and that's probably something that the board or whoever makes the decisions needs to probably look up those policies what we wanted to do just we talked about this is um at the home foot we only have three or four home foot BS that's a big source of of to help our our district so Angelina is in charge of signning shirts hats football games money goes to the auxiliary account this helps pay for game day officials event workers but this suppl this supplement supplementary fund is helpful because the money does not come out of the M fund so it helps us and and and not only that um for example the concession stand we have an exception of junior

042class this year we have about 6 eight juniors co-sponsors missz about five solid parents if not more and they're helping with all the home football game concession stands and also the volleyball games in the gym uh it's great teamwork but also that helps pck for the problem so that's we want to try and keep uh um the concession stand sales and the the aqu schools shirts and sweaters to we do that and this is something that when jender and I met with the with the bo board with Miss Cruiser Miss Moore Miss Lewis Miss Coyle and Miss mono we said hey we're going to support you let's work together on this you got the tailgate but but we only have a certain number of games to get this auxiliary account or just this money that

043comes here um whereas you may have more options of going online um advertising to L line whereas maybe we cannot do that so that's why it's so critical for the home games that that sell and that stays here we'll still work in partnership with the tailgate but you guys have other methods to sell that maybe we do not that's why the decision is and they were well aware of it before the season started any merchandise concession stand that's something we take care of as a district they have other ways to to yeah and I don't think they're doing anything that's going to be in conflict with what or in competition with what we do and honestly this is the first district I've ever been at the district office sells merchandise which is so weird I

044don't know why we sell merchandise from the district it's usually a Bo club that does it it's usually um ASB or student council who does it or um a PTA I have no idea why we spend the time selling in there I don't think the booster club is going to be in competition with what the district does and I honestly think any money that they raise comes right back to our school do and then some and they're they're paying for Big Ticket items here it's not like small score they they helped with that so they they have help it's a very it's it's a good partnership I mean we're both working together we're both starting together how to get this started to where someday we can continue to grow and evolve but it is from

045what I can see it's working out it's working out well because we G from not having a booster club now we have a booster club still having the junior class students they they love selling their concessions they love so we have a good program going right now they provided and theyve provided things that they use to show right so I mean yeah it just I mean I don't know I don't know if it's possible for you to um contact maybe your network of superintendent and find out how they fostered that relationship with their booster club or with their PTA because I don't know why we have so many obstacles for this club that's supporting our district and our children the way they do I like to think I don't know if I want to call

046them obstacles um we are growing I we the fact that we started meeting in July and August and we're working on the same page of we are seeing it's new for both of us so at the same time we want to make sure that we're doing this right but it's from what I can see is it perfect no but it's a very positive ship crer has a question or idea should text go back and forth but um um it's always evolving can always continue to grow but the homecoming tailgate was a big success very positive and something that we haven't done before so uh we're getting there see the booster club even took into consideration they provided water but if if they wanted something else they went over to the concession stamp a drink over

047there because they wanted to support that too and not take away from and they did have people come up and can I buy a plate no they did couldn't because it was a whole different event so and they were very aware of that real quick answer your question I know for a fact that Mirana School District they do sell School merchandise in Administrative Office yeah I saw Mo and I last week so the districts I've been at have never done that yeah can I explain why why that happened so when we were it was 1920 2021 right after Co because we use that auxiliary money the ticket sale money um Ving machine money all of that stuff we use it to pay for evet workers the announcers scoreboard operators the Chain Gang um for volleyball

048for basketball for uh football all of that goes to pay for that the referees get paid out of their of the CAA fees that we have that go back and forth everything gets paid out the out of that auxiliary account the other thing that gets paid out of that auxiliary account and the only thing that we're allowed to pay is we have 10 bank accounts at the the local school districts and they have to Cho they have to they um they charges fees for different Shing accounts and different things they do now N Out of nine out of the 10 accounts we can't have those fees come out they're either Student Activities or their a payroll or their taxes or their state taxes or their their anything that and those even $8 a month cannot

049come out of nine of the 10 of those accounts the only one account that it can come out of is the auxiliary account so all the fees and all the credits and everything that comes out of that bank account can only come out of the auxiliary account so after Co because that year that we were um we were uh online there was no football games there was basketball games there was no anything so all of that money dried up and we were zero in our auxiliary bank account so then we had to start pulling M funds to fund that so that we could do um the bank the the bank uh checking fees which is about $250 to $300 per uh per month that's the credit card machine comes out of there all that stuff

050comes out of there so we decided and we brought it to the board at the time um we were going for the next school year we were going to raise the the ticket price a dollar so it's $64 to get it $6 for adults and $4 for um for students and the board shut it down board said no um parents weren't happy um and the the board said no we can't raise C prices so we in our the different finance office um different leadership we all kind of put our heads together and said how are we going to raise to get the deficit to raise so we don't have to pull from M how are we going to do this and um I had ordered shirts for uh the softball team that they dided for

051and I was like hey we don't have a spirit store everybody's always coming in and asking me like hey do you have shirts do you have buer stickers do you have lers do you have like whatever and I'm like well no we're not really big enough for that there's not a a student government you know we've got what three kids in student council that like do everything um and then it changes every year because they they elect the new student government or they elect a new president or whatever so um so I was like well let's give it a shot if it crashes and burns it crashes and burns but it's a new income so then we started off with one shirt and then another shirt and then it kept growing and we made way

052more money on that spirit store then I would have if I raised the ticket prices a dollar for each and so it pulled us out of that hole we were at because the year before there was no football games there was no we didn't have that Revenue to supply that auxiliary account and we were having to pull from M and from the budget to kind of fluff that account for a lack of a better word so uh that's how that started and then it kind of just fell in because I do take all of the money that comes in and I am the student activ treasure which means I handle all the cash it just kind of fell on and then it started growing and somebody was like when are you going to get a

053new shirt or when are you going to get hats and bumper stickers and and then it just kind of had like a life of its own so we don't have a you know a parent volunteer that's going to sit in a bookstore or even a classroom that is going to be a bookstore full time that we can you know we can put them in the old dark room or a space that we can we're full to capacity we don't even have extra problems so um cuz we talked about it too having like volunteer moms or somebody like just sit in the bookstore but I get what people come in maybe one or two maybe five a week if I'm not at the game we'll get maybe one person a day or if it's a football

054game then we'll get like a dozen and then I won't see anybody for like weeks until there a football game again and then you get a flood of people or I have football game but or somebody comes in from out of town and they say oh my kids saw whatever on Facebook or whatever and you know and I message people on Facebook yes we'll mail it to you so those that's where and we're not you know making bank on that the the sweaters that I have we paid $20 for them and I sell it for 25 so we're not you know making thousands and thousands of dollars I think um the the pull in from uh from the last football game is um was 400 or 300 um which is not very good for a

055football game but I don't have but they sold out all of my my sweatshirts my sweatshirts went crazy C it was cold yeah if anywhere else they were like oh we don't want long sleeve but it was cold and nobody expected it so my sweatshirts went off the door I have no say tomorrow be a good one yeah well I tried to get them reordered and they would have here by then so so that's why we P up that and and they're we're just not big enough we have enough to volunteer to have an entire spirit and we don't have space uh to have an entire spirit store and there somebody just to man that store and student council has their own things to deal with that they do they have fundraisers and car washers

056and all of that stuff and they have to go to school and I don't see them during the day um Manning a spirit store um or me hanging over the inventory of an entire spirit store in a cash boox and saying you know you guys are responsible for it 247 I mean I love Aubrey and silus but that's not that makes me nervous I think it's good to the way we have set up right now is ginger andina are all going to as training and so we're really reising our cash controls so any one of them can take pars as they come in but there's always two of them checking each other with what is made from the the sales so but we're we're involving always work for improvement but there is a there is

057more structure than what there was before and my next as I will ask that question because we interact with all kinds of people throughout the state and just ask how they do it with St and stuff like that because it would be something nice too for the students to run you know just but at this time it's like there's other things that need to be done so yeah and I've seen also with this like Spirit Weare at other districts they just have um Spirit Weare campaigns a couple times a year so there's Flyers that go home and that's the time when you order and so that's just what's order there's no inventory that you have to keep on hand that's the nightmare right I can imagine so it's just ordered then if you miss out

058then you have to wait for the next Campaign which is going to be you know two or three months from you know whenever this one was happening then again the um the Flyers would go home with a new design you order from those choices then those arrive and those get DV out so there's never that inventory that's going to stay on hand and that's why I've seen it done other I Tred that with volleyball because I don't have any volleyball shirts um and we we did a campaign through BSN and I put it on Facebook and I emailed it out um a flyer I all staff and I sent it to um you know different people in the community um and we had two campaigns and I think one person ordered from both campaigns and

059people kept coming to me and they said where's this I said I don't have them here and they were like well I'm not going to buy anything unless I can see it and touch it they smell it not here over the last at least 30 years I know there's been aborted attempts at a at a booster club right usually they they don't last more than a week or two and then they they fold up so I a little skeptic when the booster club started but then when they had the huge fundraiser on online and they collected all that money and then their organization you know they didn't just put together they put together an organization like you said they have liability insurance they're a nonprofit they are a nonprofit so they really really I'm really

060really impressed on how they're organized I'm impressed on everything that they do I think I'm really really proud of them huh and I think they're a great asset to the school and the community and so I would like I wish they were here so we could we could congratulate that because I think the the booster club is just doing a fantastic job and I hope they continue you know but I I'm not real sure what we can do about them being able to sell on campus that may be never happening because they are competing against us and I understand I've known for a long time about where the funding comes for paying the refs and umpires and the and everyone else that comes from ticket sales and um so I understand that part of it

061but still I really I'm really really impressed club and they can do things that we can't do we can't do Raffles we can't do online advertising we can't do online sales um we can't do gofund we can't do any of that that's all loed down by school Finance in usfr um but them as a nonprofit and not a school they can do those things they can do Raffles they can do um online you know this that or the other they can take donations we can't we can't go we can go out and say hey we we need funding for the the the prek but we can't just really nearly go out and say oh well the district needs because we're a public entity that's run by tax credits there are certain things that we can

062ask for donations for there's certain things that we can't ask for supp so the booster club doesn't have that um that limit put on them they can do ra after their first year then they can do Raffles they can't do Raffles during their first year as a nonprofit are they allowed to do the on school property that was my next question no okay that that's literally what I my next question was u a a general office strictly for V we cannot even consider that's that's what I thought okay yeah there has to be equal exchange but um there so there's a lot of stuff that they can do that we can't do and that we can't have on cap so and they know one thing that booster club too they've concentrated mostly on Sports one

063thing that they're looking to do is to help with academics too and stuff like that and like well what about a chest Club something like that so there's other things that it's just not for sports so and they're working on expanding that it by the way I'm impressed about you opening the store you know you stepped up found some initiative and did something that really bu us out of the situation I just set it for a second okay next item up we have possible agenda item anybody on the board not I will make the motion to um it we'll go ahead second all in favor say hi say Noor I was like wait what happened
