Miss Olson here Mr Guthrie here Mr Rodriguez here Dr solterrell yes sir Dr Chabot uh Miss Valenzuela here oh president Connor pork said for Miss Smith okay the next item we can skip because we don't need to appoint an acting clerk they have a motion to adopt the agenda oh second in Mr kirsner says aye Mr Hopkins aye Mr Guthrie aye Ms Rodriguez aye Ms Olson hi okay will you please stand and join me in the pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty justice for all right see you then first item of business and personal item is the certified employment for the 22 23-24 school year of teacher yes sir Mr President and our members of
the board first it's good to see everybody Mr Griffey Miss Rodriguez um has been interviewed for the position of classroom teacher for the 2023-2024 Academic Year reference checks are in progress and a certified contract will be issue once satisfaction required did a great job she was going to be a tremendous asset to uh to our staff I recommend the approval of the employment and this is a classroom teacher for the 2324 active uh I'll make commission I'll second Mr Hopkins hi Mr Cruz which is aye Ms Olson aye Mr Guthrie aye Ms Rodriguez aye approved by zero okay next item is certified employment for the 2324 school year of teacher Gloria Faye Gordillo has been interviewed for the position of classroom teacher for the 2023-2020 practice year reference checks are in progress and a certified
contract and we should once satisfactory references are required she um was a great candidate for the high school science chemistry position so she did a great job and I recommend the approval of the employment of Miss gordio as a classroom teacher for the 23-24 Academic Year okay may I have a motion on that um Mr Hopkins aye Mr Guthrie aye Mr Rodriguez aye Ms Olson aye approved better sir uh next item is the approval of contract revision for Dale Quinnell yes Mr President um Administration is requesting an amendment on 324 certified contract for CTE teacher Dale Cornell Mr Cornell will be a 0.5 ft or 50 or 50 teacher next year this increase of time during the day will change his salary amount based off of how many hours we will be teaching plus a
prep period And before I get my recommendation I was going to ask Dr Chabot oh what a great job Mr Cornell is going in as an Electronics CTE class yeah he's been a promise just a standing asset to our school and the students that stick it out and stay in the class for more than a couple weeks start to get the whole process that he's going through the beginning of his electronic boards and building up so we want to start an Electronics 2 class with kids that went through this year and then the following year had hopefully have two of those and maybe a like three and uh everybody's come through our school Vision we've taken them through that area and taking them through that class and we were so impressed um I mean just
if you haven't had a chance to go in there and show you show you what you know all the exciting things that are going on there but um it's just great that those kids are going to come out ready to go for careers right and Mr President member support America I believe uh Arizona pictures and I believe congratulations he also saw his class so yeah students did like some videos right teacher conferences they did videos where they shared with their parents how they were playing together a circuit board they were explained it in English or Spanish I recommend the approval of the revised 2015 or certified conference okay may I have a motion I'll make it I'll check in it now say it again what does he make now um I believe he's uh 0.25
it's not a very big increase in a thousand dollars if you scroll down to what is going to be it just gives what the revised it doesn't give what the current one is vibe I'd say you're probably making right around 16 right now at 30 percent uh because he did half a year if you only give them from you already choose okay when we got half contract so it would be half whatever okay Mr Cruiser just aye Mr President aye Ms Olson aye approved by zero okay next item is the classified resignation of Grants management Cindy Daniels Mr President member to the board of Mississippi Daniels grants manager for Apple schools has resigned from her position effective immediately we did speak on the phone a little while back she really uh what she said was
ausd needs to be more self-sufficient in your staff needs to oversee the ground so she was she was complimentary in her tone and stating that she really feels that grants management or the oversight should come from one of our staff some of our staff members here to really build their leadership capacity so I really I mean I I really like that tone as far as what she said we should have staff here full time when we're seeing the grass and with that comes the compensation so um that being said uh I recommend the approval the resignation of Cindy Daniels as grants manager for awful schools okay do you have a motion I make a motion to approve the resignation I'll second it Mr kurzner says I miss Olson aye Mr Guthrie Miss Rodriguez aye Mr
Hopkins aye it is approved oh yeah next item is the stipend approval for Grants management Babu Casey and mercy Erin Cohen Mr President members of the board that being said Mr Casey and Miss Mercy arancon have volunteered to overtake the grants management duties for our whole schools for the remainder of the 22-23 school year Mr Casey and Miss Adam Gunn will divide this stipend of 2600 to complete the work that being said I can't think of two better staff members to take over this incredibly important responsibility and they will continue to experience professional growth and this is for our staff here on our campus that are here full-time so um I recommend the approval of the additional duties of Grants management manager for Mr Casey and Miss arankon for the remainder of the 2223 school
year um we have to do a motion and a second first I'll make the motion approved I'll second it and now we can have comments thank you well I think probably two of the better on this responsibility as well as receive the compensation that comes along with it I worry about the number of hats that they both wear because you know Mr Casey's job as data analyst okay that's first and foremost uh Miss Aaron Khan is um an instructional coach and I feel like as an instructional coach we really need to support the number of new teachers that we have here right now and so I don't want that to Fall by the wayside when they're taking care of their own classes or having to do all these other duties that they have along with
their main focus their primary job so just kind of I would want Administration to kind of really keep an eye on that and they're not getting burnt out and our teachers are still getting the support they need sure so that's just kind of my two cents on that okay so this is just the remainder of this year is there any Grant processes they're in the middle of right now they would have to pick up or are there any grants coming up they're going to need to put in or between now and June 30th data there are some that they have to uh take care of this year which is why we have to act specifically um our Title One title two and title three graph so that's why we had a uh make sure we
had someone as soon as possible and my concerns are the same as hers on that sure it's a lot that they're doing it's a lot and I feel like our primary jobs need to have the first priority over anything else so what is the job description for this just to to uh oversee our grants and Grant process uh that's an example for Title One title two graphs uh making sure that that the compliance requirements are being met and just working with the administration also to make sure that that plans are turned in and that we're meeting the requirements for the different plans the different school plans and District class so how many hours she's 14 a week that they would be involved in in these activities well that's that's a good good question it just
kind of depends how how it's going as far as how they're managing their time how much time they feel they can allocate to do this to do it to where they're still focusing on other primary responsibilities but also making sure this has to get done this is over the next month one to two months that they have different requirements to be made so they have time to balance that out to space that out to where they're not trying to get everything done in the next week this is for the next one to two months to get these are Grant requirements right you either want to have any background on this well actually I believe they both have some good experience I know that yeah I know for uh yeah right we all we all actually
do something with grants yeah I have two or three that I do almost every time that I have questions Mr Casey cancer is important because you need the data so he he really knows how to do it he just wasn't doing the finishing it off but he was giving me information he could send the information and like Dr Joseph she has her own two or three that she works on and if hours per week is really difficult because the grants that I even do maybe every other month there's something you do to monitor adjust make sure that the deadline is going to be met in about a couple months where there's not a lot that you do and there's a deadline coming up make sure you know tease across and all that how many classes
are each one of them teaching this year how many classes each are they each one each and then miss aircon is also taking her personal classes as well correct so I mean she has a very full plate so I mean okay so I mean just kind of like like I said first priority I think is instructional coach and making sure teachers receive the support they need because eventually I mean that's that's what our kids need support and if she doesn't have the time to do that we're making you know I don't know a decision that we're gonna have to kind of take a look at later and I don't want that to um and Cindy Daniels how much was she making so grants first commentary paying her she was I believe 97.50 9750 for for
Brands and then there's also there was an amount for Esther 3 I believe that so this is coming from the balance of what was left in the 9700 so are they going to have any duties next year too well we'll see I'll be honest I just want us to focus on finishing out this fiscal year and we'll see how we can allocate this funding for next year it is 9750 so um I I am in agreement with the point of we don't want them to be overwhelmed at the same time I really stand firm in my belief that as much of this of these additional ancillary funding to go to the staff that is here in awful full-time because they've showed me my first year that they're here their heart is here and they're going
above and beyond so I really believe that if there's any kind of additional ancillary funding available for staff if they're able to do it um that they should be the Priority First I love both of these people I you know I think the world of both of them and I've always been very impressed by both of them so I'm sure they're they're able to do the job right I just I just want to make sure that we know what we're asking them to do how many hours we're asking them put in is it worth their time to for what they're getting paid you know ten thousand dollars this is also going to make it much more efficient because I'm imagining up until now Mr KC was having to speak with Ms Daniels and give her
all the information and she's all the way up in Chino Valley it was probably a lot of back and forth but to keep it in-house just makes that happen a lot quicker and since they're here they're able to speak more of the immediate needs of the campus and the staff in those grants because they're experiencing it all whereas I'm not sure if Miss Daniels has ever been on our campus yes uh he also has a lot he's being very humble he has a lot of experience too with grass it's very knowledgeable as well so I know he's also been a good resource to help him out and he'll continue to do that the next the next few months we'll we'll get it we'll be good okay all right yes any more discussion okay Mr Hopkins
aye Ms Rodriguez okay next item is the approval of the 2023-24 academic calendar which is before you on your desk Mr President members of the board um the 2324 office post educational calendar has been proposed and reviewed this calendar meets the minimum instructional days 180 including all state and federal holidays and I recommend the approval the attached 2324 office schools educational health okay and then I have a motion I'll make a motion to approve I'll second it yes Mr kirsner's I miss Olson aye Mr Hopkins aye Ms Rodriguez aye Mr Guthrie it is proved 5-0 okay next item is the possible new agenda items for the next meeting does anybody have anything they would like to add to the agenda for the next thing we talked about this before and it really because it's such
a touchy subject where you've never actually met on it but I'd like to talk about disciplinary actions against athletes you know this last week of first baseman softball team was quite I don't want to get into it but but she's no longer on the baseball common softball team right and uh I just I just we talked about this for three years about having this conversation and I just would like to have a conversation on the discipline of athletes okay yeah I think we could add that to the MonDay study session agenda [Music] didn't mention that one because I think it was already on the agenda from last meeting sounds good hey can you ask for the April okay then next item is asking for a motion to adjourn with the most children I will second
the motion to return all right it's Olson hi Mr Rodriguez 5 48. manager people that was pretty much
