004charges against that for whatever i guess for attorney fees or things like that but that was good news for us according to kobe's still alive and well that's why we're in big open tables instead of more small space uh board tables for the last year and a half two years uh listening to npr um this week i think day before yesterday the first on the crown case was the case from south africa um coronavirus arrived in the united states every time you see that i read about a new virus coming in sounds more uh damaging or more dangerous than the previous one um the previous one was still alive and well so i think one of the things this is not a medical doctor obviously i think we're going to see a length of time
005where we're dealing with a virus or we're dealing with new variants of the virus so we just need to be careful we hear a lot of political discussion about the virus and about masks and about not wearing masks about vaccinations and they had an excerpt there about the history of vaccinations the history of frustration or refusal vaccinations is far new um in 1927 the first vaccinations were required for school attendance people were less than happy about that i believe that was in new york city throughout the 1800s um the smallpox mortality rate got 88 in europe when they started vaccinations it took about 25 years in this country to eradicate smallpox in the early 50s in 1976. in the late 1800s there was a group called an anti-vaccination leak to fight any form of vaccination

010because you might be at shell or an olsons or get a call from a frustrated staff member or a frustrated parent that has concern about something that's happening here at school the board has no power to deal with that you have power to deal with it's an agenda at a board meeting um the right answer is to have you call the teacher it's a concern about a teacher have you called the principal have you called superintendent let go of the food chain um the second i did my lectures was policy bhd board communications to the the recommendation is a board member who's exhausted the opportunity to discuss in the matter with the administration many communicates the board of light no anonymous communication a member of the community which is progressive in person obviously obviously can
011do that in public as you as we say every time you employ you there is no action of working take the report refers as you well know back to the principle of superintendent to try to investigate or take some action on or meet with it with a community member and any official communication to that community member is supposed to be given by the superintendent uh board communications with staff members um and small town is probably perhaps i should say happens more than it does in large districts policy again is very similar to what it is with community members no anonymous communication will be received or be considered if an employee comes to a board member uh the directions from the board you're supposed to talk to the teacher if you talk to the principal you

031a split understanding of this policy that's having the asb as well well you'll say that since it's not in safe place we've had this policy in place without a problem for a long time i will point out that the reason it's been proposed is that they have been brought into your recently at least observed by this state yes and so that's why and it's not been problematic for i don't have a number but there's probably 220 districts 201 districts in the state that have this policy it's been it's not been probably problematic but i've been told for a long time because i know how many districts are in the state i talked to asba and the person i talked to indicated this is the coaching idea of superintendents and boards so there's no way those
032numbers are accurate because i know for a fact that that over 200 forms have adopted our current policy because when i did a policy review of many many school districts that adopted very similar screenshot that you said to dr dooley so i couldn't find just a name on it so so if this was the one that was there any reason why we shouldn't just call the green one the one that we are acknowledging as a first reading we said there's only two differences the green one doesn't say notify the superintendent became president and it's five billion days before instead of prior i have a little bit of a concern with the fact that ford president is in there um not because we shouldn't do it we often do send requests to the president and that's
