So move. >> Second. >> Shider. >> Yes. >> Hansel. Yes. >> Hansen.
004>> Yes. >> Flip. >> Yes. Belt. >> Yes. >> Florence. >> Yes. Motion carried. >> Um, next up because we're going to move some things around because we have some guests. Our staff reports. So, Miss Are you doing Miss Black? >> I wasn't going to do anything, but if you have any questions, please email me and I'll I'll make sure you get any uh an email or phone call or however you want to be communicated with. >> Hey, Dr. Fosnney. I wanted to start off just by shouting out a few of our students on the plate and the band entire concerts were fabulous a couple weeks ago. Um, all of the musicians and performance group participated did a really great job. So, I wanted to give them kudos. Um, also our IPA winners, which is
005our principal award winners, we would pick two eighth graders. The vote together uh or I'm sorry, the staff together votes on two winners. And so we celebrated them with a nice breakfast a couple weeks ago through the IPA. And the winners this year were Faith Nepowski and Ben Jerus. And we try to pick students who are leaders in the classroom and also in their um area of expertise and their extracurricular as well. So um those were our two winners for this year. And then lastly, just a couple of end of the year updates. Tomorrow we have our boat trip for our eighth graders. So we'll be at Navy Pier. Hopefully everything goes well. It always does. Um, but you know, so hopefully we keep that going and then we have our promotion on Tuesday at
0066:30 and then our end of the year trip for the sixth and seventh graders will be on that last full day. Does anyone have any questions? And is anybody going to be at the eighth grade promotion? I know I received the email that everybody is. Okay. Or a couple people. Okay. I know I heard a couple from a couple of you. >> We were told to email if we weren't coming. >> Right. That's what I Thank you. Got it. >> I was like just I was like I didn't send an email. So >> yeah, I know I did hear from the nose, but I just wanted to kind of double check so we don't have too many or too few chairs. Okay, perfect. Thank you, >> Mr. Meyer. >> Does anybody want to pass out
007any diplomas to pause there like pass out? I do that on a daily basis actually. >> Yeah. >> So if anybody wants to just let me know um if you would like to pass that to a cousin nephew or whatever whatever that's just a little art some art stuff. She wrote a little uh piece on um her art class and so I just wanted to show a little bit of the um couple people's work if I may. I don't want to I gave you the policy that we talked about, cell phone policy that we talked about at the policy meeting. I don't want to change the policy, but I think I'm going to change one of the or change the consequences. I'm going to tighten it up. Instead of having four steps, we'll have three.
008Does do I need I'm ask I guess the whole I want to keep it the same, but can I if you still pass the first reading, is it is that okay if I change or do I have to then wait till >> We have a motion to approve the policy as submitted today. So it's not a reading. We're approving the policy. >> So the first reading, well, what they can simply do is as amended by Mr. Meyer's recommendation. So whatever they have in front of them. >> Okay. >> You now, you would have to state what your amendment is. >> But then when they make the motion, accept the first read of the high school handbook as uh as presented and amended by Mr. Meyer. Okay. >> So So what was your >> Well, you
009got to put it on record, my man. Yeah, >> I didn't know if I needed to wait or if I could do it using my use my use my report time >> unless you want to wait until after executive session. >> What do you think? What do you think? Great idea. Do you plan >> I'm just saying if you you can do it now or you have to wait until executive now. >> Um so what I would like to do is we'll continue with the first step where the teacher is doing a warning. The second step is going to be I'm going to kind of get rid of that the second step. The second step now will be the teacher will confiscate the phone. They will take it to the office. They will pick the
010student will pick it up at the end of the day. Teacher will call family member, email dean. And so now the dean has there's been a warning. The dean has there's been a confiscation and a call home and end of school day. And now the dean will take care of everything after that. I think I think you had step three was parent has to come get right. >> No, I did not. I step two was like we were going to confiscate it. They were going to get back at the end of the period. And I I I don't want that. I will we'll just cut to the ch. I still want teachers to own their classroom by taking it by communicating with the families and communicating with the dean. And so they've warned them. They've
011taken it. They've communicated with families. Step two. They've talked to the dean. Step two. And now it's on the D. >> That's what I would like to change the consequence to. Again, again, still teacher runs our classroom. Teacher owns it the first time. >> Well, it's probably >> punishment time >> because not all staff probably wants to be responsible. >> And I I don't think to make it more difficult for them, more things for them to do in the classroom, but I I thought that's what I wanted to do. But I want to make sure that we're going to do what we say we're going to do. And if I have more steps, I'm not sure that that will happen. >> And since you won't be here for the rest of Could you explain what
012the high school policy will be with with cell phon? >> So right now before and after school right now, nothing in the classroom. No cell phones in the classroom. I am I am all in on if you are still interested in buying that box. um for the staff for the kids to put their phone in this box. Um Mrs. Mson has one and she gave me a spec off the Amazon. I'm not saying you have to buy from Amazon, but she gave me what she has. Um so they will be placed in there. Then they will get them at the uh end of the period to go. So during passing periods and lunch, so no academic time, no study hall time. So before and after school, passing periods and lunch, they'll be able to use
013it. >> And then at the elementary and the junior high, it's still going to be >> in the lockers. >> No. Oh, sorry. >> Oh, go ahead. >> No, with that, I'm also if kids say it's in their locker, okay, if you didn't bring it to class, but you left it in your locker, okay, you can keep it there. But then if you know we catch you going to your locker and using your phone during blah blah blah that to me that's a violation that's a violation of the policy and so that will be a punishment. >> That's how I look at that. I'm fine you want to keep in your locker that's fine but we're not going to manipulate the system. >> That's not you can use it in the hallways. You can >>
014during passing period I don't want you. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> So that's how we're going to look at it. That's how I'm looking at it with Mr. Hogan as well. And then >> sorry junior >> Dr. Clausy, Junior High, and Elementary were the same page of nothing, >> right? >> Before and after school only, all school time, nothing. >> Oh, no. >> But like in production class, they need to use their phones to do BBTV. In fitness class, if we're running the mile and that helps them get through the mile, then I'm going to allow PE to use it during fitness or lifting weights or something like that. >> With teacher permission, >> correct? And teacher monitoring. >> Yep. All the above. Yeah. >> Okay. >> I'd also like to say thank you
015to Miss Joel Nelson for filling our prof professional position um for summer school. So I don't know. Is there any other questions? I'm sorry. I just jumped here. >> Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Um so I want to thank her for that. >> You might pass out. >> I might pass out. The air conditioner is not doing very well today. So uh problem was great. Uh no issues. I just had somebody pull their kid out with with with no permission and she was kind of angry but we handled it. Um and it might >> apparently they don't listen they don't listen when you talk at your meetings apparently. >> That's fine. >> She was there but apparently she didn't listen. >> No, it it it was I thought it was great that that the DJ did a
016fantastic job of keeping those kids whatever bouncing for two hours and it was it was it it was good. It was good and no real issues as far as I know. And then afterwards, no issues. So, I was biralto. It was great. Um, gave him a big or sorry, I gave them a happy meal on the way out, some nuggets and some fries. >> I don't think they were I don't think some of the kids like the food, but you know, I'm not >> It was better than nothing. >> I'm not picky. So, I It was fine. But, I thought that I like the touch Miss Cal had of the the four nuggets and the fries on the way out. So, I thought that was >> They did. >> But dinner's in the beginning. Hours
017later, you want to Yeah, it was good. They spent the energy for the shirt. >> I did like it when it was just outside of town. Personally, it's quite it was quite a drive. It was pretty, but it it like you I I mean I spent 5 hours in the car that night driving kids and dropping them off and then turning around to get them. And >> that's why Miss was not happy picking up her child early because the moment I pulled into the driveway, said child was like, "I want to come home." >> And then I get there and she's like, "Oden said I can't And I'm like, "Oh, >> yeah." That's when he text me and I was like, "Okay, fine." It was good. So, no one's good, but yes. >> Yes. >>
018He said it was great. >> Good. >> Anything else? >> No. >> Thank you. >> Dr. Gam. >> All right. Couple cliffnotee things to get to before I go through uh policies and stuff. Um, I know I probably said it a long time ago, but it's always good to have a nice little refresher. So, you guys always get these wonderful, really thick expenditure and revenue reports. And there are a lot of numbers. If you want to know exactly where we're at and how we're doing, all you got to do is find the very last column, the very last row of the uh the line item, and it gives you a number. Like your code 80, which is your torn immunity, is at 67.74%. That means of the money you budgeted, you've only spent 67% of
019it so far, you have 2 months left. So, it kind of gives you an idea of where you stand in terms of your expenditures and your budgeting. The other way you can look at it is the one that Morgan Freeman's cousin Mike Peters reads. I get like a Morgan voice. Um, if you look at that bold black number, it says 8.9 million. That is all the money you have as B200U at this current time. It's very low right now because you have not been getting your real estate money that suddenly goes up and in July you all will be very happy because it'll be up in 15 million and everybody will feel good about themselves. What I like to do every month I do this I simply look at that number and I look at
020where we were at last month or last year at this exact same time. That also gives you an idea if you guys you guys sorry if I've been doing my job and leading you in the direction we should be going. And I'm happy to say last year that number was about 8.1 million and some change. So, uh, we still have expenses coming up. So, I'm not saying that we're $800,000 in the in the black, but it's a very good sign that you have put more money in the bank this year than you have taken out. So, that's a very positive thing as well. So, it's kind of real two easy ways to figure out where we are. Um, three things. First, the clear list. Um, I know everybody in the community of Beecher has waited
021with bait breath to find out when is that clear list coming out. I'm happy to report it has been completed. Joe is working on it today and tomorrow he's going to make sure everybody is input into P school and March 22nd I'm look at Paul. He's going to smile. >> May see that's why I looked at Paul. >> Thanks Paul. May 22nd you will get an email saying whether or not you were cleared or not cleared. So, just to remind people, this is now the is this the second or third year we've done this year. So, this will be the third roll out. We've done it two years now, but this is the third year we've actually done this where if you How do I get on the clear list there, Dr. Yahhem? How do
022you figure out who gets on there? There is a program. It's called the clear program. It's uh by Thomas Ruters. You guys pay for it every year. We take everybody and everybody's addresses and we put them into this program and we hit run. What it does, it pulls as much public information on those people as they possibly can and it spits back a score to to to me. Those scores range from 0 to 100. And then there's a threshold. The threshold that I've created is 85. So I need an 85% match within that household to ensure that that's what clear recommends by the way that those people indeed match that household. And so if you are 85% or above, you or your spouse or you or your your your kin, if you are the guardian
023there, you are now cleared unless if you run clear on my name, I will come back at 100%. I obviously don't live in Beecher. I would not I would violate the registration rules. So I then run it again with everybody who does not live in Beecher. So, I make sure that the people whose addresses are submitted to us are indeed beacher addresses. And if you aren't a beacher address person, you will have to prove residency. Again, there's multiple reasons why someone might uh homelessness, things like that. But that's also why you might not be on the clear list or if you just happen to register within the last year, you're not on the clear list because there's not enough data for you to be a future resident. So, if I get my email and it
024says, "Hey, why am I not clear?" Those are one of the three reasons. Either you don't match where you live according to the public records that are available, uh you've registered within the last year, or you probably don't live here and you got caught, so we need you to come back in. So those are the kind of the three big ones. Um that's so that's coming out May 22nd. Number two, the teacher appreciation week was last week. >> Last week, uh the district purchased Cecil food trucks. So, I want to make give a shout out to Cecil Food Truck. The elementary we served on Tuesday, junior hung on Wednesday, and Thursday was the high school. They did a tremendous night, a tremendous job. A young couple who ran the food truck. Uh we used to
025use Dope Sandwich. He sold his truck. Doesn't isn't around anymore. So, that's how we recognized um our staff as a district office. I know PTO did some nice things at the elementary and they served lunch on Wednesday for the teachers. Mr. Mr. Meyer did a high school thing for his teachers onuesday. Tuesday and then Dr. Quasnney, you did >> lunch on Friday. We did a little something. >> So, and that's so that's what we did to honor it wasn't just teachers, we honored our full staff, but that's what we did on teacher appreciation week cuz we appreciate our teachers. Uh, Miss Goki or yeah, Miss Geck, understand that next year. Uh, and then lastly, kind of give you a rundown of what our summer looks like. Um, so you have some things in front of
026you. I apologize if I'm assuming you approve them. If you don't, then reject the the things I'm about to say. So at the elementary, we obviously have the massive project of the windows getting done. We also have the scrubbing and waxing getting done as well. Our people will do the scrubbing and waxing at the elementary. Those are the only two major project. It's again, it's a major project in terms of the scrubbing, but those are the two items being done at the elementary school. at the junior high. We are going to take the 20 years of wax and we're going to I'm asking you guys to have citywide strip those down back down to BCT back to their origin instead of trying to replace these things. We can get it back down to the to
027the base level and we can start it start it fresh. They will be in charge of the stripping of it. Our people will still wax and then they will be responsible for putting things back in there. That also means there's a high likelihood the month of June I will be closing off the junior high because I don't because it's a it's a different company than our people. I don't need our people fighting with with a company. I'm going to give the company cart launch to get it done. They said it should be about 3 weeks to get that whole every tile surface done. Um along with that the seal coating which you guys already approved is getting done at the junior high and then we have a conversation about the digital sign what we want
028to do with that up front. that the high school uh stalker floor actually finally got back to us. They do not believe it needs to be sanded down, which is phenomenal news. Um they came out, they looked at it, they assessed it. Their professional opinion as as uh gym floor people, and they do a lot of them, you can't do waterbased. It's the waterbased that caused the issue. They said they strongly recommend a oilbased finish. So what they have proposed is to come in. There are 17 boards in the old gym that they want to take up, replace, and then they're going to put uh they're going to scrub it and they're going to put an oil base and that should fix any of the heaving that we were receiving that we talked about I
029think last year at the um so that will take care of that. And they're going to do the same thing at the in the gym uh the den. All of that's going to cost us 9,200 bucks, which I am ecstatic about because I generally thought it was going to be a six figure fix. So fingers crossed that does everything we need it to do. And again, Stalker is very reputable. So happy about that option as well. >> So um and then obviously we're going to wax and uh uh scrub here. And then lastly, we are putting a door here. Um this is an old journalism lab. We don't have journalism. We haven't used it in 2 years. So we kind of a vacant spot. We are going to add a door, make it an office,
030and Mr. De boys will now have an office here at the high school and not have to go through Mr. Jacob's room every single time he needs to go to his office. So that's kind of the other semi- big thing that we're doing here. Last but not least, we had six foyas this month. Six folks. >> Six. >> And they were all about the same thing and you satisfied them all. So that's my lengthy report. Anything else? >> Okay. If anyone doesn't have any objections, I'm going to move 12A up before executive session since we have um members in the audience for that. If anyone is okay with that, just so they don't have to stay around even longer. Um I normally ask how to say names before we start. So I am so sorry
031if I butcher your name, but I am known for it if you've ever watched a meeting. So um I need a motion to approve the employment of Allison Gekki. >> Yeah. >> Okay. as BES kindergarten teacher, Margaret Stein as BES first grade teacher, and Joshua Grosser as half special education teacher. >> So, okay, second. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Flickman, >> yes. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Sher, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> Yes. Motion carries. >> It's official now. Okay. So, next up is I need a motion to proceed to executive session for the purpose of five ILCS120-B1. So, move second. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Denko, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Flipling, >> yes. >> Belt, >> yes. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Shrader, >> yes. >> Motion carried. >> I was
032going to say no. Okay, it is >> 6:48 p.m. the regular Marme board meeting back in session. Um, our next that we're up cuz we switched some things around is community updates or committee updates. Sorry, update on community groups. Oh, I lost my neighbor in the car. It be just tomorrow night. Well, I'm not going tomorrow night, but I had all the papers from the last meeting that talked about everything. I know I talked about it, but I forgot some stuff. Um, our meeting is tomorrow. I will not be going because Bailey's graduation is coming up and I have to finish getting my house already. So, I'll meet again after the summer. Uh, the scholarship committee um had a meeting. Um they are giving away and I apologize if this is not 100% correct because
033I too forgot my notes at home. Um 17 scholarships. So 15 um I believe it was 15 four years and two two years. >> So they will be announced at um graduation. >> Very nice. >> Yes. So thank you to everyone who supports the scholarship. committee and I'm going to follow suit and I'm not prepared. >> Uh the meeting is Monday. Um but I did not ask for an update of the agenda. So nothing to report for the chamber. >> They give the scholarship away too. >> Oh, they got a golf party coming in. >> I was going to say golf. They have golf, right? >> Losers. >> So there's that. Oh, booster club. We did give out a scholarship um at the senior night. Are we supposed to say the names again or no?
034>> I mean, we gave Clouse. So, she received the booster club scholarship and then they're um the soccer field, the dugout. It's done, right? That's done. And then we're still working on the they're still working on the batting cages. >> Yep. They poured the pad today and they're coming out Friday morning to do the polls for the fences. >> That should be almost done. And then we are now talking about some new fundraisers possibly for this next year. So be on the lookout. Thanks for your support everybody for this year. >> Um the foundation is meeting tomorrow night, but I did ask for an update and she said at their last meeting they approved the third and final year for the three-year freckle mass description um and funds for Mrs. real um 3D printed elementary.
035So, they funded it. They're also going to be awarding a $1,500 scholarship towards the 2026 graduating class with a share at graduation who won it. Um and they're always looking for additional volunteers, >> so they can contact the foundation or come tomorrow night, I guess, at 6:30. But that's it. I'm going to give a few new ideas for next year for the foundation dinner and what else whatever else they want to do for 2026 and stuff. Um, the PTO is meeting Monday the 18th >> because everyone's cleaning their house refriger kickoff to summer 6 uh June 6 whiffle ball kickball bean bags face paint chalk they're talking about a bubble machine I don't know if that's going to happen 66 participants at the U fishing derby And that was on May 6th and the next
036meeting is next week on the 19th. >> Moving on to old business. So the junior high sign. Last time we had talked um we talked about we had two options to fix or not fix it, replace it. We talked about um just taking it out and not doing anything with it. Um I know Dr. Quasnney, we kind of asked her what she wanted and she was like, "Eh, I'm fine either way." >> So that was at the meeting cuz it was kind of sprung on her. So I actually sat down with her. We had a thorough conversation. >> At the end of the day, her preference would be to to remove it all together. And for the reasons you guys stated before, it's the the thing that we want to focus on is that beautiful
037vinyl that's there right now. And you know what amount of communication can you provide on that sign that you know some of the things a lot of it. >> Yeah. So at the end of the day that was her recommendation. I support it. Abs Nathan will be able to take care of that and then Miss Les put her two cents in right now. But >> Oh yeah. I I concur. the sign person. >> Um, so you have on here an a motion to approve the removal if that's what we're agreeing. So we can just remove it. >> I mean, it's under $10,000. >> No, there's there's nothing you have to do. I mean, >> you say the digital sign. >> I'm just saying it's on here. We can do it if you want me to.
038>> Yeah, but is it an action item? >> Yes. >> Need a motion to approve the removal of the digital sign at Beacher Junior High. >> Well, so moved. Second. Just reading it. I'm reading it as you wrote it. >> Love it. I don't know. >> I could read. >> Denko, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Blane, >> yes. >> Self, >> yes. >> Flores, yes. >> Sher, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Okay. Then we're up here on new business. Um, for employment, we have I need a motion to approve the retirement contract for Mike Meyer as high school principal as submitted. So moved. >> Second. >> Flickman, >> yes. >> Belt, >> yes. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Shrader, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Senko, >>
039yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> I need a motion to acknowledge the resignation of Thomas Hines as full-time bus driver effective May 1st, 2026. >> Second is >> yes. >> Forest. >> Yes. Trader. Yes, >> Hansel. >> Yes, >> Denko. >> Yes, >> Hansen. >> Yes, >> Flickley. Yes. >> Motion carried. >> Next up is the press plus 121 first reading. So, I need a motion to approve the press plus 121 first reading as submitted. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Trader, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Senko, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Flickling, >> yes. >> Sell, >> yes. Motion carried. Um, next up is the Beecher 200U cell phone of policy. Um, that would happen at the policy meeting. Mr. Meyer did a
040recap during his report. Um, so we'll make the amendments he proposes only the handbook >> for both. >> Oh, >> cuz right he amends the he amended the policy and in the handbook. >> He he can amend the cell phone policy as your guys. He amended his handbook. vote. Letter D is what he amended. >> Okay, it's a brown vote. >> I wouldn't give him that kind of authority. >> Okay. So, does anyone I think almost everyone was at that meeting, but just in case, does anyone have any questions about the policy or anything? No. Okay. So, I need a motion to approve the Beer 200U cell phone policy as submitted. So, moved. >> Second. >> Sher. Yes. >> Hansel. >> Yes. >> Denko, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Flickling. >> Yes. >>
041Elk. >> Yes. >> Flores. >> Yes. >> Motion carried. >> Next up is the handbook updates. Those were also discussed at the policy meeting. Um, does anyone have any questions or concerns or anything about that? No. No. Okay. So, I need a motion to approve the student handbook updates with the amendment by Mr. Meyer as submitted. >> So, moved. Second >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Bel, >> yes. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Sher, >> yes. >> Motion carried. >> Um, next up is our SOIC amendment that was in our board packet. Any questions? >> It's it's it's state state funding and state reporting. Uh, we're a member district of SOIC. It allows us to uh correctly allocate funds and um monies within. So it gives her the authority to do so.
042It's not an additional charge to any school district. It just allows them to correctly allocate funds. >> All right. So I need a motion to approve the SOIC amendment as submitted. >> So moved. Second. >> Penko. >> Yes. >> Hansen. Yes. >> Whipling. Yes. Felt, >> yes. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Shadder, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Motion carried, >> um, next up was the emergency operations plan that was included in our package packet. Sorry. Does anyone have any questions about that? Just if there's an emergency, the school will be used. >> What if that happens and there's like damage done to the building? Like who absorbs that cost? Would like insurance our insurance? You talking about by by it being used like internal damage? >> Yeah. >> I mean >> like say
043the whole community had to go there for whatever reason at the junior high or something and >> it's a great question. >> Got broken because people aren't nice. >> Um I would assume yes. You would probably file something with the insurance and put in that claim. Um I would I would also guess that EMA and the village would be responsible for some of that as well, but My only concern I could think of >> we've always been one of the as a designation. Um there's only so many places. >> It's a really good question. >> Okay. I need a motion to approve the village of beach emergency operations plan as submitted. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Hansen. >> Yes. >> Flipline. >> Yes. Yes. >> Forest. >> Yes. Trader. >> Yes. >> Hansel. >>
044Yes. Motion carried. >> Um, next up is the junior high floor restoration which was covered by Dr. Gham in his report. So, I need a motion to approve the Beecher Junior High VCT floor restoration services by citywide facilities for $14,276 as submitted. Second >> Flipling, >> yes. Belt, >> yes. >> Forest, >> yes. >> Trader, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Denko, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Motion carried. >> Just for reference, I should also have um by next board meeting, I should have a updated contract for next school year on the junior high and elementary from Cityway. U both buildings have been very happy with with this past year. So, fingers crossed we can keep that amendment, >> right? Um, next up was the computer purchase. I know in your uh
045report you had mentioned were not fully filled. He's having problems finding a couple more. Um, is that something like we can push out the cycle instead of like how it's shorter and you know how we cycle them all out. Could we not cycle if we can't find them? Like just they keep them for one more year. >> So if you remember last year you allowed seniors the the the ability to buy back. We're not going to have that line. then maybe something we consider in July or August to to reach back out. But right now, we're not that buyback isn't that motion. So that's >> I wasn't sure how we were going to cover it. So, okay. So, I need a motion to approve the purchase of new Chromebooks from Technology Plus for a cost
046of $93,200 as submitted. >> So, second floor. Yes. >> Trader. >> Yes. >> Hansel. >> Yes. >> Hansen. >> Yes. That. >> Yes. Motion carried. >> Thank you. >> Forgot that was on there. Next up is the Peace Lutheran Church Agreement. So, that was in our packet. What had changed for it for the threeyear deal? Right. >> Yes. Okay. Um, is there when we if we make a change to that, would it negotiate or do away with it and be a new agreement or would we end up being able to do like if we would end up like needing to add an extra classroom or anything like that? >> Yeah. If we came back cuz right now we use uh theoretically four rooms. If we came back and said, you know, in a year, hey,
047we'd really like to take these two classrooms. We could add an MO. >> Okay. Absolutely. >> They do all the building maintenance. >> So, we do the cleaning of our the rooms that we're responsible for. Um, and then we do like the small things. Um, like the sink, the sink in the classrooms, leaking, Nathan does it, but no. Um, like uh when we had Gallagher come on and do an assessment of our our safety and our our concerns, there was an emergency light over there that was out and I simply sent it to them and said, "This needs to be taken care of, please." And they they're really good about those kind of things. >> I mean, like the minor things. >> Yeah. We're responsible for the playground, the inside of the playground, making sure
048that keeps um uh updated and taken care of. So, we did the mulch last year. Um their one ask this year is if we could somehow figure out a way to help them with the seal coating. And so part of the package is just a general maintenance. Everything that is encompassed um is what uh however they spend that money is completely up to them. Um the fence is theirs. The building itself is theirs. Snow removals on them with the exception of the sidewalk. We take care of the sidewalk still. We send Angel over there and he salts it. And so this covers everything for the duration of the contract. So there's no like, okay, we give them the money that does the seal coding and then in a year and a half, we'll know we
049now we want to do this. Can you pay more? Like that will not happen. Okay? >> That will not happen. >> Okay? >> Cuz once they again, we'll submit a a payment to them. Um again, to be fair, >> building a building sure as heck a lot more than $20,000. Um, so >> we're making use of it. >> So I need a motion to approve the peace Lutheran church agreement as submitted. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Flores, >> yes. >> Trader, >> yes. >> Hansel, >> yes. >> Such, >> yes. >> Hansen, >> yes. >> Tling, >> yes. >> Self, >> yes. >> Motion carried. Does anyone have any discussion items that we need to add for the next meeting? >> I forgot one thing in my superintendent report. Today is Donna's 15th birthday.
050So, I'm going to say happy birthday to Donna. She's not watching. >> But you never know. She might pull up this video and be like, "Dad, you didn't say it." So, happy birthday to my daughter. Happy birthday. >> Happy birthday. >> I mean, she's 12, not 15. >> Okay. So for our June meeting, we'll have our second reading of our press plus. We will have our meeting dates for the next year. Is there anything else we have done? Do we have to have any other meeting? We'll have a negotiations update because that will have started. >> Any other >> uh the consolidated district plan will probably be on the June board meeting. Again, that's the one that allows us to apply for all of our grants. um um e services, things like ESL services. So
051um look for that every year. A lot of it's a copy and paste, but there's some some special things that we have to amend. Um so I'll be taking care of that over the next month. >> What time should we be here for graduation? >> Um if graduation starts at 7:00, I I would strongly recommend no. No later. If you're showing up at 6:15 is probably you're not going to get a parking spot. I would say 54. >> You get dropped off 6:45. >> Yeah. >> And then promotion probably the same thing. Probably 45 minutes at an office driving. >> Okay. So upcoming dates the high school graduation is this Friday at 7. Junior high is Tuesday at 6:30 and our next meeting is June 10th at 6 pm. So I don't have anything. Like
052I said, no other committees have to meet other than negotiations. So we should be good for a little while. >> So you'll have uh you said press plus one. Just want to make sure you also need a second reading of the cell phone policy and the second reading of the handbooks in June. >> Okay. So second reading and hands will have a second reading for final approval. >> Hey maybe maybe we'll get lucky and we'll be approving a contract y'all. >> Yes. Yes we will. >> We can stay positive. >> Stay positive. >> Okay. I need a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:06 p.m. >> So move fighting for that. Second. >> What time will we have on Tuesday for the negotiations? >> Oh, yeah. I got >> All in favor say I. In
053favor. I. Um, not in favor. >> Meeting a journ. That
