001for all the initialists and that's an entire School District s right now Mr Cody is the only one president I'm waiting for the other one or the other Representatives all right um goals as well Mr Quick if you don't mind that's coming to the podium and give us a summary called you three one you know I will ask us to read if you could help us um which page would you like it's time yes Mr Cody is one of our sixth grade teachers and Mr Cody will want to giving us the plastic which is [Music] the goals and give us a summary of course uh so thank you for letting me be here um numbers so thank you for giving us the opportunity to adjust of our students so um the 301 goals right now
002is in 26 files which will be the cohort groups and we are kind of from here students who are proficient minimally proficient for the cities 26 and 47 percent um it will be reduced by 25 each year and looking at a three-year Trend and from there it does go down to a minimal partition which is 26.9 which will sense each year for ELA for example so um we have we came to a different proton list which is um I believe which will be more friendly for teachers and staff for academic group so I do have an entire point I I was it's kind of hard for me to explain it just looking at that but if I have my own how we came with these numbers but um briefly that that is our um questions
003regarding through one goals or um however okay but yeah is it possible gift s and I don't see my older Representatives but I'll be rather having to speak on on all the other Dearborn goals um and once again I have made with that little one community and I'm familiar with everyone knows that'll be happy to answer any questions regarding the three or four years hello I guess the question that I would have a single um [Music] where those students [Music] um did you begin to see the economy came up with those and how and I I guess I'm thinking overall the school is fun for the upcoming years [Music] in the past we mentioned the percentage on top where it's supposed the expectation of growth for our students um [Music] but the waves down here
004is kind of different you think [Music] just to explain that to me I want to see how much the world is going to be accomplished um and what you call here she can explain um and I'll be happy to jump out of piggyback if you're trying to move somewhere in classroom is over talk about you know it won't show up there I'm going to email it to them I have a little presentation because I have the representative at the immediate and I really think this was hard to explain so that's visual belief that I create a PowerPoint that I'm going to share with you guys that will break this down so um [Music] um documents we've got okay yeah this is a public hearing so there's no action being taken from this Farm and then
005if you posted on board Knox that I could download it download it I don't somebody send it to me please is there any way you can post it on the agenda just send it to me please yeah if you send it to tech support actually I'm working on it I'm almost there refresh you can't yeah so this is uh the second slides that growth party that's where I have the hot area so this is my presentation that I can step into my um intermediate groups so this was a new goal that we were I shared with them that in math and reading each grade level students in a mental 29 file will be reduced by 25 years so what does that mean so on slide two here we have our broken part so we are
006going to Target students who are in minimal proficient which is in the bread so we want to focus on them to push them up into partial coefficient which just you know so we can see a change we could have Target students in non-proficient but if we move them up they're still in threat so we want to see that change so our Target my whole family right here is that we want to Target a minimum so students who scored between 26 and 49 percentile we want to reduce that group by 25 each year over three years so what is that so right here on the next page here here's an example so those students right there in the red those are the students that scored in between 26 and 49 there's one two three four five
007six there's eight students there's eight students in that cohort so that's our Target students our goal is we want to reduce those that group by 25 so we want two students to get out of that we want two students to get out of that so this the students are fifth grade so right now we want to get two students out of it in sixth grade we want two more to get out so every year we're reducing that cruise to get smaller by seventh grade that would be like cut lessons by less than half so that's how this goal is so hopefully that kind of improves a little bit of explanation and if we go down to like four so that was the before and after so just the one in yellow is our new our
008new tools on how to try to push students out of the internet intervention um really really looking into I really believe or we have to constantly monitor your students and and try to push um motivate them is to get them out of it because I I do stresses with my kids in my class I didn't show them hey I didn't show them a group that are in real cool part and tried to catch him out of it so it is a motivated especially with the colors you want blue and green and so that this is a thank you for Express sharing this is a lot easier to explain so and I did present this with Michael and this is this is um our old um I think what this message was referring machine but it's
009crazy we're looking at [Music] um like the last plants reported at least okay and overall increase whatever it is but it was generally a demonstration what was demonstrated so and that's where our Target is you don't know [Music] and he said that's what that's the word is if we're saying 100 of students are not going to be interested in okay we're going to achievable I guess keeping towards it doesn't give it to show us that that's what happened so that doesn't understand that because they're here okay sorry um also there's more that it will be coming during the retreat you're looking at a slide too um we should have started by that first payment what is the goal that we want to achieve over over the next three years and the focus over the next
010few years if you look at it it says 80 Master percent because that was good as the world the other one for all of our students um but nevertheless okay what we're looking at is right now where the knee is facing the school um based on a particular School this year basically tested end up with a pre-assessment there's a number of students in the beginning of the profession so they are spending their energy by another moving forward but nevertheless the overall uh or arching all the real world promote and ensure that we continue to put all of our emphasis is that 80 Master for 70 of the school is that across the board that is how we worked starting with the more Victory if we get the support this will become part of the Azure
011digital so the target you just mentioned this time the go-to is covered by the arrow it says go to an electrician attendance the minimal of 10 is 10. oh that um lives or without all these particular one you know we have now some um actually made us a retreat and discuss what the needs are and what we want to establish the goals of the district and then the 80 Mastery and the 90 will become at this Regional identification [Music] starting to make changes and the leadership level through level and advanced level to try to promote results so it is trying to wait to roll this out so we want to begin working on anywhere and explanations yes [Music] foreign [Music] I guess that's what I'm trying I'm trying to say the 301 goals are specifically
012because you have to be made [Music] defines because if it is then I don't I don't want to see this way you kind of get left those energy show and grow because we're focusing on love opportunities is that the um the statue allowance of governing board to see that criteria and we will see the criteria of once again doing number three but nevertheless is um right now based on the scores that they have and I need his school to begin moving to the students forward and as they move forward um I can commit and guarantee that we'll move money to Liberty to ensure the work of all our students we can achieve over our team a little set so [Music] I feel like yeah I get it you know I was former student myself when
013we were ahead all you had to do was directly overall I think you're so far I feel like that's something else [Music] kind of achieving it's not just saying so that's where my that's something okay [Music] um I was just going to ask if um this um chart you have here at other schools uh going by that too yes um right now um back in December the principles uh assistant we met and we have we started the direction that we went ahead in the next few years and this is what we will be rolling out and we'll be rolling out if you hear more about this as well but this is this is what we could say president and that's all in the direction of anything yeah I like this because you thought the kids
014were here we want to go here you know and daily you know [Music] thank you goals and that's it and um [Music] sorry um everything several times I'll be more than happy to be here and if you don't mind uh on the plan posted I will direct you to page number five for the primary um first of all uh I want us to remember that in the primary election McDonald's and depending on the reason I was the way the points will be allocated it's going to be based on the professional as for the ELA goal um 90 to 100 of this show growth um they're going to be the teacher then are going to be taking the in depending on the growth is going to be the lesson um it is not only effectively if
015we hit um similarly when you go down for a preschool once again what I'm going to see is how they're located that we can go is and also demonstrate it based on the percentage of students the more students uh showing growth which is definitely 200 and the teachers will be operating 40 points for that particular goal regarding Kinder in third classroom teachers once again for ELA as you can see the the points the maximum board is going to be based on the maximum percentage growth um this is more um the general hair classroom and for the specialist on Intervention um the specializing diversity of teachers based on the the logs completed and submitted by the Specialists and internationalists that will also be getting the most points um based on the instruction that they provide and
016the standards and the educational to ensure that students are participating in engaging in the classrooms and it will be demonstrated also they attended based on their attendance and opportunity to participate in adolescence that's how they're going to get adults foreign [Music] and the last one is keeping parents informed all the growth what I like about these particular goal is not only that they're going to be meeting with the parents and also uh communicating with the growth for the students but they're also going to be documenting that deserve those conversations in our student integration program in our in in the program that we have for our students to collect all the information so that's part of the goal and at this point I'm going to start to see if I can answer any questions regarding their
017two white goals or individual classroom goals as well as the specialist and information come on I like unless the Titanic sorry I like that there's a school wide percentage films that the school-wide should say for instance of the Year legal goal that 90 to 100 percent was full will show growth in the reading fluency score so I like that [Music] um but how much has been a percentage [Music] so um those are so many things that stand up for me but I like that their expectations of the whole story is good but then again there's no personage on how much food taking his medicine that would that would be also Clarity if we go back to the other presentation page two um if you don't mind uh Mr Bates can you show once again uh
018slide number two from Mr polish presentation yeah as you can see not not only do we have um every single level but some of the clarity that you're going to be able to see that depending on what the students are now what we can establish what is the minimal expectation you're going to want to see moving forward um but that's going to be also called uh more the theory number three I'm sorry that I continued well go back to the retreat but I believe that there is going to bring a lot of clergy and as to what is expected what is expected and as in the next couple of years maybe you know where the students are and where do we want to get and if we don't mind these events we've been over to
019the 301 document and any other questions before we move on into our ID let's go okay I also I also wanted this uh point out that the um whereas that the primary campus teachers will have their uh who will enter the PRP content logs so let's not just there's actually going to be the communication then on those you know there's expectations and that communicating with your parents thank you I'm connecting with the famous it is going to be an important fact of the next few years in communicating the student from our side effect and we did not support and I say it is important to note we're still working with um with a secondary campus and the vote will be provided at another a little time that way we can talk about the one of
020those set for the I must look at school all right um the at this point I would like to bring everybody to be to the page um page 12. and this one has been a while and I to understand that better and I didn't want to know that for the school that it is because it is an alternative accelerating program and the way they set up the expectation and the way it was explained to me depending and depending what the student produces during the fall semester the expectation is that each student is going to have to demonstrate the same and then more so which means they expect it to grow 100 of what they grew in the Box they will be expected to grow also in the spring so given that all the students are
021working at different rates and if the student completed 10 activities during the during the fall in one class there are the exhibition is the demographic will pay that out of 10 or four so that's 100 growth in their expectation it was really completed one entire course the expectation is that for the spring semester they will box complete another course but something else so they their expectation is 100 plus for each one other students and in the area uh that's for the white goal and which is the very first one and as you go on to the next one and then it's called their expectation is going to be the students will show 15 growth um depending on where they're at before there are they expected to grow the percentage and depending on the the percentage
022of students that grow to take percentage from going around that's where the boys are going to that's what the points are going to be allocated for the teachers and determine their monies that they will be receiving the rules are exactly the same for me as well as so man that the expectation is based on what is what this article will grow um 10 a minimum of 10 from their starting point um the expectation is whatever the student completes in that first and that's there was a first degree then the expectation is the same amount plus go back to me that's a little bit I really like that foreign okay [Music] thank you that's not how long this meeting um present them with their members of the board um I also want to thank their inflatability
023to all of the teachers um in which they have been able to go back and be a review will change multiple times and that way we can align the goals to what we're beginning and I asked one of the things uh the board members for the patient and I know we were supporting all the way back in December but it is more time is giving us also a higher level verification on the goals and we recommend to continue to work and make changes um at the high school level and since the community level that where we can bring before you via data version so we look forward to that only by the rules but also supporters who did achievement foreign [Music] a minute disappointed we have one for every school sometimes one all right and
024I want to take responsibility without a whole lot more yeah normally they're here to present again I understand that you've been living on a Transit but kind of children yes [Music] I guess um I really appreciate the the details for getting together during this hour every single uh basic time for families and to work on this and to go back and to look at how they could um move forward and I guess what I what I really um is the um when we have our board retreat the goal that you know is there and we're going to be seen and stuff and how this plays into that so so you know that's that's what I'm I'm really looking forward to but I do appreciate all the work that was put into this and the time
025um I do understand but the concepts or the conflict that it isn't really um the second secondary foreign [Music] represents thank you [Music] I don't again [Music] take it back some of the key information that will be really helpful for us foreign [Music] you can actually also see up there or at least the presenters of the teachers I guess and it is 70 or higher and based on the changes that we we have met with our high school and provided guidance last week they gave it up the best shot um but there's still areas and we have a great opportunity to be there once again it brings out to the principal provided so much more additional support um and they're they are already working and playing all the time and then you have to be
026very aggressive between them this week to get a change together for when the teacher said leave it back to us my name is Wednesday so we can bring in before uh the government for like country and then before so then in particular I guess just to kind of hear it from them because they're here but overall internet um or primary talked about how um are off because if you go all the way to the bottom of the document classroom data that's always 40 points and then instructions the teacher evaluation we look at the points just on this totals 100 I've offered that guidance um some things are told to our staff that they could eliminate the teacher evaluations so I know like the primary the point s even though it's heavy like the 50 points
027is great but there's only 40 when it's allotted for this whole Creole for the classroom data which is just we have another evaluation out including their evaluation Within the point yeah I mean so this has to be revised but that would be my only thing and then to go back to my note you stated what percentage of growth I think the the thought process behind that was this is actually our first school year back in person so right now especially like our our third grade cohort that cohort was when we called the market with kids because that's when it hit us pretty strong so those cool they are unless you know about a year and a half so we stated they I know the process for them is let's see how they're growing whether you
028know we could have a ticket started at 0.50 they're not what they need to be but they're showing that correct and I think that's why they didn't attach ment but if you see that we definitely can go back I think that's fair consideration because obviously because it's across the board for every student right but I understand that it's the one I think that that was a fair inclusion in the previous clients because later it'll be an expectation Iraqi is still achieve yeah and that's not to say that we're not working on that because it's funny because it's still gross it's just not enough but again with I know we don't want to talk about Focus but it's a reality where these kids are still trying to make those games I agree thank you thank you
029thank you thank you Mr winning numbers no we I think we have a good clarification representative and I think the direction that Mr Diaz wants to wants to provide that Clarity so that information that you see that we haven't shared because it hasn't been performingly rolled out but that's something I'm doing Friday um um but when we landed out with our 301 representative I felt like some light bulbs kind of went off and it just gave her some direction because uh previously there was lots of different things being thrown out and I think they were trying to capture all of those things and try to put it in the 301 um just because there was a lot of inaccurate information that we've been put out and we are doing music this is what we're doing
030and they wanted a way to kind of show that but it's going to get reworked and maybe you know the weighting of the points was a concern but like it Mr Dia said I can't go in and say you need to change these points I can kind of like hey you might want to consider this okay feature device plan so we have an ielt tomorrow with our content needs and this is going to be the focus of our conversation um so that way they can have conversations with their events and then we'll reevaluate on Friday during the PPE to kind of narrow this and have a ready to go through [Music] um no I'm just I'm very proud of my team they did it all on their own so I trusted them and they I
031told them they needed guidance they can talk to Mr Diaz because I couldn't um so there they pretty much I I am pretty confident that they know what they're doing no just to add that I'm pretty confident with our 301 we are a little more unique to get you guys know um but I like the fact that with Mr B is his guidance to do it that we ensured that it was 100 and a couple of our kids because many of my kids are in different levels anyway so I think it's a SmartPhone I think it's very attainable it's realistic it's timely um I guess Automotive comment I really um thank you Mr Stevens for all your um work and helping the um the sites get the get this and showing them that there is
032expectations there is a goal and providing that information is helping them Reach that and so um let's go to sit down I really appreciate that you're you're taking your time to make sure that you're doing what you need to do to meet the goals that um the numbers there we didn't say that I didn't see it and so you know your input and that is really really helpful for you for your site and again having confidence this is your team you know that's getting Mr Fox everything that they're doing is to your cyclists and me because it's different from all the stuff I really appreciate it and then possibly um there's you know we want to get this done we want to get it set but because there's no um objections I guess on the
033goals that we see that we continue to move that way and then just waiting for the additional to pay for it and then um [Music] thank you all right thank you all so much we can go ahead in the journey [Music] all those in favor of the motion Anna Marie Stevens aye Sylvie Hendrix Ella make Greasewood Kathleen Vance motion carries that we'll go ahead and move into and it's hard to order January 10 2023 scholarship organization meeting or the internal communities I was present here I Juan bondia Anne-Marie Stevens Sylvia Hendricks LMA Greasewood aye Kathleen Vance [Laughter] go ahead and continue number three is a business that are easy to cool designers Sylvie Hendrix hello make Greasewood aye Kathleen Vance motion carries number four is our elections officers from here [Music] 23-24 I am [Music]

036my abilities so help me God or so do I affirm good luck on your next term I hope I'm here for the whole thing thank you okay um which back the last thing here is our board member [Applause] because um every year required by Arizona statute governing board members in the state of Arizona are required to fill out a conflict of interest interest form that um anything that can occur illegally that they are away from them like if um hypothetically if Miss greasewood's daughter was doing business with the district she would have to step away with that because she has personally related to that person doing business with the district so at any point what they're going to do now is fill out these conflict of interest forms stating that they may have somebody here
037doing business with the districts and they will write that annotate that on the document if not they will just State no and sign it and then they'll be good for the next year and signing up the once those are completed I can get them after the meeting and if you're ready to go yes if you have no conflict thank you [Music] and this is um who made the motion all those in favor of the motion Anna Marie Stevens Sylvie Hendricks LMA Greasewood um Kathleen Vance motion carry order yes all those present in here say aye Juan buendia Amber Stevens Sylvia Hendricks Ella Mae grieswood um Kathleen Vance [Music] please stand and join us foreign [Music] to letter b a routine business number one is cruel of the general chemical board meeting agenda do I hear

056person they were not many teachers willing to fire from now and somebody back into sleep but with Bautista as a state for the organization and appreciates the acknowledgment and we'll make sure we deliver could also be aware [Music] definitely as honored and just as important especially mentioned but I know overall as much as we have done for all of us since you're there let's get basically it's better to do as principles I appreciate you all so much I know it's definitely an intricate part of emotional part of the opportunity that we have to foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] number three is barbecue in high school district opening more financially [Music] um [Music] board members um tonight we have our financial numbers for December 2014 we're gonna go over the um student Club balances that's
057very tiny but this is the sum of it all in Student Activities they had deposits totaling 12 585.95 the primary student council had deposits totally three thousand two thousand two three thousand two hundred ninety four dollars for food sales and penguin patch holiday shopping sales to be intermediate stupid had a deposit of 128.50 for snack sales the middle school student council had a deposit of 250 or sorry 2.50 and that was um to cover a shortage from the November deposit that was found the eighth grade promotion account had a deposit of 931 dollars for food sales and Christmas grams and also a donation of 4 [Music] 378.98 from Freeport public Incorporated the class of 2023 had a deposit of 313 classes 24 added to positive 1 000 36.50 class of 25 had a deposit of
058650 and the class of 2600 deposited 487.50 from the miracle and Miracle Army sales the high school girls and boys basketball teams each had a deposit of 682 for concession sales at the December 3rd basketball game the ending balance on 12 31 22 was 77 691 and 56 cents for the Student Activities are refund had deposits Towing 907 dollars sorry that should say in December for the high school basketball score entry and disbursement wow was 647.66 that was for cross-country um the ending balance for auxiliary at the end of December was 9 304.38 are there any questions on Student Activity or auxiliary questions [Music] um just from what you said the donation from the foundation for 783 Bakery promotion no also donation from Freeport yes where is that of course people that's the mindset yeah
059it's part of the 5 309.98 so that 4 378 and 98 cents donation is added on here with the deposits of 931. so it totals the 5300 okay are there any other questions [Music] it will be sure sign page yeah it should be page do you want the first one it's just super tiny yeah let me just download it and save it before the district um December's numbers MMO reflects a budget balance and it's very tidy on there of um two million one hundred and thirty nine thousand three hundred Seventeen and nine cents we're six months into the fiscal year and everything's looking good our Grants Department is currently moving expenditure funds from sr2 to sr3 um that's why there's a negative balance in there but um once we adjust those purchase orders into sr3
060then we'll fix that negative in there teacher housing expenditures are moved into impact Aid as payments are made depending on our fund balance in teacher housing that's a normal thing that we do every year because we don't get in enough revenue from teacher housing um to cover the cost of Maintenance so the extra we pay out of impact Aid and then um we are still waiting to hear back from Arizona legislator about the aggregated expenditure limit um so depending on that when that gets in we'll have a clear picture of um what monies will have and um at this time we don't need a budget revision overall we currently have 72.07 percent left in the budget for spending or 28 million 881 873.30 and that's excluding in encumbrances we received 9 million 431 and 48
061cents so far in revenues for this fiscal year if you have any questions on the budget questions forward to the budget okay thank you [Music] welcome to number four a barbecue into my school district principle of wolves president um before we begin our principal rewards I won and once again I know objective principles in a time when we need disability we need um uh what you need to show the division and Leadership especially during any decision I cannot thank the principles in love do especially the month of December in which you not only they have to finish all the feature about week evaluations in the middle of the Year classroom visit and also organize any event that's happening in the month of December um and you will see during the report everything that able to

063house competition and so we were giving out points on all the games that the students were playing and they really learned how to work as a team versus you know I guess for this there was no price given that the other disappoint um we added the points by the end of the day on the sub one but they had such an amazing time working together and even like just respecting one another telling each other when we announced that we heard here but they really had a good time [Applause] [Music] laughs again what you see what is what everyone sees but what's what's behind the scene once again what frequent we're doing to deal with um responsibilities my heart goes thank you [Applause] knowledge across the board especially because I appreciate them included the best but
064nonetheless so much I I'm sorry yeah they have been practicing for it they were excited we haven't done it in three years so they were really excited to participate in it and you know we made up whatever they wanted and a lot of our cultures need to accept that to support with that so and the kids are enjoying it if you notice in the classroom [Music] class whether it's picture class or not but they enjoy but actually the ukulele program wasn't going to perform but they asked so that they can show you know what they've been learning you know we all have our dance program so they perform later we couldn't put the whole thing on there but um that was a little now yesterday we sent out permission slips for after school program we
065received a stack back so yeah it was funding it so that we know yeah very good thank you so much good evening for president Wendy and board member and Mr Diaz so I have submitted my principal for a report so I hope you had a chance to read it certificate foreign [Music] sorry please your teeth [Music] [Laughter] Heroes [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] thank you unfortunately students are getting hot chocolate we're having perfect attention [Music] foreign [Music] please [Music] okay as you can tell that was not made by me [Applause] [Music] just like um Miss Enriquez said we would not be able to do it without our team that we have on our campus via the last starting last year it was that admin team that came up with all the crazy ideas and
066now it's the teachers coming up with the crazy ideas and so it's rubbing off on them so we're getting there [Applause] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] supposed to go away hi good evening for president Beverly board member assistant is uh submitted my report I'm ready [Music] well [Music] all right foreign [Music] um [Music] [Applause] [Music] um near the end of the semester and so um Monday so it was yesterday yesterday we were able to disperse those along with their student schedule so they now all have their house shirts so it was cool to see some students put them all there was a young lady workers today so I'm excited to to get that ball rolling uh for us for conception so [Applause] [Music] but I know I really wanted to go to Thursday it's just going
067to be really bad for you because we're going to introduce um Mr Diaz as our interim superintendent and he's going to speak a little bit about Direction Network and have and how they're lining Cycles with the district goal so we can all be consistent so I think that was the perfect opportunity to get in front of some parents and students to to see where um where we're headed so if you can please be there yeah it's great yeah I'm gonna try to do some games thank you so much for always inviting us and we do that every time so appreciate it I don't know if that's a good thing all right saying the name of the school three times I know I'm going to practice that uh Miss Larson is already guaranteed me a Wednesday

069lady who's wasn't online on me but we encouraged her to come on in and we found out that she is incredible artist incredible artist um so yeah if you've got an artistic Bunch there I really like to express themselves through all kinds of different Avenues when it comes to the arts and crafts it's awesome I don't have any questions and I really appreciate that's the um the videos um even though the holidays are over it kind of just takes us back to appreciating the holiday with family friends you know people and all the hard work that we went into making sure that our kids enjoyed so I really really appreciate it we're very grateful to the community tocc youth by their own we we and our young lady get a laptop a really nice laptop
070you saw those two bicycles given out um so it's amazing I think the sharing that that happens for us specifically and does [Music] children thank you okay so thank you thank you [Music] [Applause] um [Music] leadership governing board reports [Music] summarize I'm okay okay I'm not thinking because I think um [Music] appreciate it um it was a really great experience actually I think for um going to the conference and kind of walking in trying to figure out what we're doing for the presentation I think it was like what are we doing here um but overall I think it was great I was grateful that Wynonna and Mr Casio came out because I think that they share um they have good experience and that's great from England students so it was really great to do that
071I think we the next time we do it I think it'll be a different film um to get our um getting our feet but overall it was great it was great getting the Bell award um see the video and it was exciting to see that happen and then also just hearing the keynote address speaker on the second day he was super inspiring I me and Kathy had a picture with him so he really had a formative energy captivated the audience and I want the way leaving you feeling really inspired and I was like here and I went and said it was all his stuff intercepting a lot of free books um and I ordered some online from him so it was a great um conference but also just learning about the processes in relation to
072like how we vote um for the Native American caucus and that's something that um I think that's the second time experience I ever lived for a while I probably would have missed it and thought and I made the most in here I'm like oh okay so I'm sharing that information and congratulations to Juan for becoming um the chair of the caucus [Applause] workshops that we attended um it was done by um hold on I want to say inside Louise and they are working with fifth graders to get them into the stem field and a lot of it is they work with John Hopkins Center um and they send them to a training there but a lot of it is centered on that and they're working with fifth graders to get them through calculus trigonometry and
073how I think I had to at least halfway because I could go to the election that's happening with me she did share that say later on said that like it took them a couple years to get to get it going but it's a really great opportunity and I think that we should go visit there just to learn more information about that program because it's been going on first I want to say he said 15 years 13 years um but these data so they highlight all these things that I've been working with since fifth grade and that they have gone to college and like they've gone to like Ivy League schools and that a really great job and so that was one of the highlights for me to attend that information especially because I work at
074higher ed and some of those things are really and I think early out which is really important for our students and the exposure that's it thank you thank you Stevens anything that's awesome yeah I'm excited but um it was a it was a fantastic I've gone to many many men um all the Arizona State um before [Music] being recognized I think it sells a lot of the work that you do to support here at the school district but also um congratulations to Juan and I also want to just say that I think it took a lot before you didn't run for the board of directors uh traditions Arizona student participation well again you will teach you and um foreign situation the other thing is that I really appreciated the tour and you know it was
075really um fantastic to see all the work that has been done I'm talking about what films and understanding you know the followers that we needed to um we need to apply for in order and basically at this point from the what you call it the uh maintaining to before we start building right now we're going from repairing to maintaining and then we all did something yeah that you're right here I can't remember anything um you know what I I noticed about how you work very well with your staff and how much your staff is very well known in public schools and they're very refreshold with them they care about what the work that they do in regards and you can share that to them please you know so I'm hoping that we will continue doing
076that and everybody knows all the facilities in each school and who they are and what they do and I think that has a lot to do with having [Applause] fun and we're here for another four years and all work together in the future and yeah thank you oh awesome thank you Miss Hendricks so just to kind of round out our reports I do definitely want to thank uh everyone for your indulging with us in the long and mistaking process that we had throughout the year of December trying to navigate our way to much of what we have to do as a governing board in addressing our superintendent and then of course acknowledging our intern superintendent so thank you all so much who participated in a lot of the efforts that we tried to take future
077we were making smart strong decisions on behalf of our students in the community I feel very very confident that we are going to see some very much needed successes and the ability for us to really become elaborate as much as we have and as much as we will with the community and all of our parents and everyone that participation of bringing up our students so thank you so much first of all for again indulging with us and the [Music] tours it was definitely something to take in and actually be able to see and look at and hear the information that was provided um very grateful and honored to be able to see as much as we have done and really look forward to achieving much more as we as we continue to look at different
078families the school's so much better so I think we'll have to take a half against me Mr Roloff team in the middle and I've got this we're working on um and any other contractors and so on and so forth that are just going to come out of our class um running out again I am part of the areas in the School Board Association board of directors that just had a retreat this past weekend which was also looking at much of the Strategic plans for the overall Association and then um kind of just getting to know the rest of the board members it's a really long board I think everyone on that floor right now is not even been with the association for more than two to three years most of them are very new so
079they were really impressive there's only like two or three of them that have been on the board for at least six years so it is interesting and I think that we're going to see a lot of really good system out of the association on behalf of not only all the students in Arizona but specifically for Native American students which I know we emphasize which then leads into the presentation that we did at ESPN um how much of that was in light of just trying to highlight some other things that we've been able to see that you already able to achieve I'm so very grateful that we had those that were with us to be able to give us some of the first really quick for you as how it happens inside of the questions um
080blasting uh no I just thank you all so much and um looking forward to touring the sites again I want to look at the academics type of tour throughout the campuses I'm looking forward to that one um [Music] number six which is our Barbecue University School District superintendent support [Music] congratulations um [Laughter] all of all the directors [Music] culture uh coordinatory I want to give a shout out also to the production of the first one is for director Martinez he has worked on the next year enrollment online enrollment is smoother so he will be presenting during the war between both them and also show you we are pretty much are ready to get started but he will go in there during the retreat in the presentation that you put together to get us going we

084there's a plan that we're looking forward to this there's a goal that we have and that everybody's coming together to reach that goals thank you and then and then again being there um being at the the conference circus to make sure that our video was going the way it was supposed to be going to I would not know how to do that I don't know this is so that that for me was really really interesting [Music] I think he resigns that once again it's not my plan it's a representation of where we're going to go as a team um I've brought on my team and I look forward that my voice is going to be very voice and and that goal is going to be the calls um that we're replacing was as soon as
085the survey what a community deserves um she also was able to based on her um connections um get over twelve thousand dollars worth of reading glasses that you see on the relations but I don't want I want to take these opportunity as well to celebrate so shout out to me before [Applause] on the basis there is just digitalizing the enrollment process and making it so much easier for pushing for so I really am proud of all of you guys [Music] thank you this one has no audio okay [Music] [Laughter] [Music] decision Young music [Applause] I didn't think music would be necessary but um [Applause] [Music] I need somebody [Music] um so go ahead and just play the video yes please [Music] these other people in the administration building that donated to the five quality boxes

088you the calendar forward for your approval upon your approval they will then determine when are going to be the fall and spring uh future conferences any action or discussion yeah a motion to approve the calendar for tomorrow all those in favor of the motion Anna Marie Stevens aye Sylvie Hendricks Ella Mae gracewood um Kathleen Vance motion carries yes [Music] 12 months um we do believe that it is more financial responsible to have the wealth administrators that we think about not only um plan and execute the responsibilities of the regular school year summer school but also plan for the incoming school year it is my support and as well as bringing it before the government board for support to extend this calendar for our principal administrators uh it's full administrators as well as some of the
089district and administrators will be able to support moving forward and carry it all I've carried all the three-year extended goals that we have uh that will be presented to you foreign motion by Sylvia Hendricks second by Anna Marie Stevens correct all those in favor Juan bundier Anna Marie Stevens aye Sylvia Hendricks Ella Mae gracewood aye Kathleen Vance motion carries number four discussion and possible accrual of reading Innovations positions oh Lord um our individual School uh the highest received an award in front of you to be able uh to school to join the school around me that she's receiving from this grant she the principal with uhm is asking for support in hiring a reading specialist to be able to support other students uh to pull up a toy review program and I'm also lead to
090board and I believe that this is a a good investment all the funding not basically what it's known as R based on Witnesses we need to go uh we need to thank the students and I do believe that having this tier 2 intervention in that school will be able to help us move the students forward in the area of really this person is going to be really important directly to uh Lewis and the funding is now for the district once again it is based on the grant that the school has received at the soil program right um I had a certain discussion I just want to make sure that today that I voice it I I know that we definitely want to be able to support encourage and engage um and in order to have
091some discussions conversation Mr Diaz was on at the retreat I think ultimately what I do want to do is from all of the sites of demanding these interventions the community seats that we're putting because continue to still remain with me through we are what would happen backwards I understand hold it in places and making sure of why it is utilizing everything that we have to the degree that we need to some form of action that we're going to see results from it I think I've had that conversation in general um multiple times with mischievous just just just depending on that we or what are we missing because the stupid um I'm resolving a little bit but you don't hate that that's just from looking at it from our point of view that's what we did
092but I know it's a different uh site line a site for looking [Music] have so many interventionists and so many different types of levels of support and I don't really be able to see so much of the retreat that you know about me to look at that from a different viewpoint Miss sex yeah um I agree on one but I also wanted to find out um so this position will open up immediately and so it'll be four doesn't remember yeah it's only for loans currently only for this year but if we get approved for the CSI Grant again we will keep it going but we don't know for sure if uh it will still be under CSI record [Music] one of the leaders that we need to either is if it's working why is it
093working and when it's not working what are we going to do about it for this position if we don't get the money from a school Improvement that's a good thing in the right direction but once we have um tier one and two two in place then we can decide which other programs we don't need one position we don't need a weekend then refurnish uh repurpose in all the areas that we need but nevertheless um this position is complete into the grass but not having those money it's everything [Music] also buyers so we haven't accepted by the center of the Season all those in favor of the motion one would you um yes Anna Marie Stevens aye Sylvie Hendricks Ella Mae graciously aye Kathleen Vance motion carries [Music] Sylvie Hendricks Ella Mae grieswood aye Kathleen Vance
