when I grow up I want to be a police officer when I grow up I want to be a teacher and I too want to play basketball and football teacher and a mom like Miss Catherine you know success starts early here in the vault School District and as you can see so many of our kids have such high and wonderful dreams for themselves and and we're excited by their dreams and their aspirations and help them fulfill those dreams and aspirations here in vaults in the vault School District kindergarten is first and foremost focused on making sure that learning is fun that means that every learning experience while absolutely aligned to the college and career-ready standards is an experience that is challenging engaging and fun learning is joyful you have a lot of portunities to interact

we learn in the different ways not just just sitting down they actually interact with each other and they experiment in activities that they're hands-on rich learning experiences are designed and facilitated by the best teachers in the state of Arizona each teacher is committed to not only knowing your student academically but also emotionally and socially our teachers make a difference and our teachers will meet the needs of your child in Vault School District teachers are committed to not only the entire goals for their entire class but also for the goals for your student where is your student academically socially emotionally and that type of instruction means whole group class instruction small group instruction and of course one-on-one instruction in mathematics we are focused on not only students understanding and doing math but truly being mathematicians being

problem solvers wondering about how numbers work together how objects come together this type of learning is also focused when we talk about our early learners experiencing science early science learning is fun it is about what kindergarteners are already naturally able to do of course having a well-rounded curriculum involves music experiencing music expressing musically their abilities art library and physical education a student needs to be well-rounded and to develop in each of those areas beyond reading writing and mathematics the technology isn't a standalone concept technology is part of learning and learning is enhanced and improved with the use of technology so we're adopting the computer science curriculum for k-8 next year and we feel like that's important for elementary school because not only will that help them prepare for a possible career path in the future

but it also directly aligns with content standards for all grade levels and particularly for kindergarten math standards it directly aligns with things like sequencing analyzing shapes patterns understanding numbers it helps children to pay attention to detail and it really helps it provides an engaging environment for them to learn how to persevere and solve problems which is a life skill that will help them hopefully for their entire school career and beyond I feel that both district is very committed to the community around the school and that they're very welcoming as well and they're they show us apparent the importance of getting involved in our kids education we encourage all of our families with kindergarten children to choose balls this is the place to be this is a place where you can have a healthy start to

your life to your educational career and you can get a really good trajectory towards high school college and career and so we welcome all families and all kindergarten students into our programs [Music]
