All right, we're going to go ahead and call this hearing to order. This is a hearing to uh regarding the fiscal year 26 expenditure budget and uh Miss Courtney Hoffmier is going to present that. Yes. Oh yeah, we're gonna do the pledge first. Never mind. See, I already forgot. So, let's go ahead and stand for the pledge. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you guys. Now, we'll go ahead and start with that information. All right. Good evening. The reason for our uh our hearing today is to review the adopted budget for fiscal year 26. This is unchanged from the proposed budget that Kimberly went through in June. And so
this is actually exactly the same uh the the presentation is exactly the same information. Um and so I can go through all the information kind of just review it again for you. Um but it is but it's unchanged. And so we actually just um we we just received the new forms for the adopted budget uh excuse me for the for the fiscal year 26 budget so that we can go ahead and start working on revisions following today's meeting. Um and Courtney, as far as I know, the state has not done their budget yet. Is that correct? So they they just closed their session and they did approve just they did. Yeah. So, we but we have I'm still waiting on information regarding um regarding the budget and so but they did we actually we did
receive some information from the attorney general on the new forms that we need to be using and so we can start working on those revisions and we'll do a revision um a revision in December. Correct. Yes. Okay. So, um and I'll and and it's up to you I can go through are you interested in seeing the presentation again? Um, and just kind of getting that information again from this is it's the same information as the proposed budget. Um, would you like to me just kind of review the information that she had talked about last? I I think just in case there's anybody online who's who's watching maybe. Yep. Absolutely. Curious. So, yes. Um, and so as where where am I pointing this one? That way. Yes. Oh, there it goes. Perfect. Okay. And I think
did I just go to the first page? Yes, I did. Okay. Um and so we just so when Kimberly reviewed this last month, she just went over kind of where it's this is just kind of a bare bones uh budget, right? So we haven't gotten the new numbers for our per pupil. Um we are still we're still working on some we're going to be working on some formulas and and adding the information in. And so we don't have all the information yet for the fiscal year 26. And so when she create when we created the proposed budget budget, it's just with the current year information. It's with the information we have, right? And so we will have some new information as we move into uh FY26. Um and so that's why you'll see that the
the student ADM is unchanged from um FY25 to FY26 and that the carry forward is set at zero. Um and if you could recall Kimberly talking about the um carry forward is that we just set that at zero. We don't, you know, we until all of our bills are paid um and we actually have all that information, we're just going to set that at zero until we have more information on what we actually have and carry forward too far. There we go. All right. And so, um on the M budget, so um again for the the decrease, um there we're going to see in September we'll start seeing that current, uh per pupil funding. Um and then um we also we'll have that revised budget, but we also are going to look at the capital
if we're going to be pulling any capital over. Um and so we'll see an update on that one as well. Impact aid, you'll notice that that one is also uh a decrease and that is um that is because of our current enrollment with our Native American the students who are living on Native American land, right? And that number is decreasing and so we're seeing a decrease in that number. Okay. Um, and this one is again just some more information. I've kind of repeated this again. So, um, M decrease again, um, we also are seeing some flat enrollment. And so, uh, Kimberly had talked about this, uh, the last meeting as well as that we're not really seeing decreases right now, but it's just kind of steady uh, with our enrollment. Hopefully, we'll see see some
of that increase, but um, we're, you know, we have that uh, it's just a declining enrollment. Okay. Um and then again, uh this is just kind of explaining a little bit more on the impact a uh decrease and then other funds. Um other funds increase. This is where we looked at that other funds increase. This was on our grant information, right? So this is our our grant funding. Um and so when we go back and I can go back, let me just go back to that. Oh, sorry guys. There we go. And so, um, federal and state grants, you'll see that that one shows a bit of an increase. Um, and this is just our funding for federal, uh, and state grants. Um, and then other funds, uh, and I'll be honest, other funds, I'm
not sure about that piece of it. I will have more information for you in September, though, and we're starting to that revision. Okay. Um, and then this one right here, we're going to talk a little bit more about this in our truth and taxation hearing. This is our adjacent ways levy. Um, and so this is just giving information about the increase in our primary primary property tax. Um, showing that the taxes on a $100,000 home uh will have an estimated $36.20. This one did have so this is this uh piece right here is different than our last presentation. We showed a smaller number in that way and that was just a funding um a formula miscalculation. And so $36.20 20 cents is accurate and we'll talk more about that in the truth and taxation hearing
in just a couple minutes. Um, and then you'll notice on the if you look at the FY2526, even with that uh slight increase in our primary uh in our tax in our levy, we're still seeing a slight decrease in primary tax rate from FY25 to 26. Okay. Okay. And so um after today's so we'll be going through the uh during the board meeting today we'll have the approval for the uh adopted budget. We'll also uh following this at 4:45 have that truth truth and taxation hearing. Um and then we will have a we'll go through a revision in December on our our revised budget and have more information then. And so this this probably a question for both John and you Courtney. um when we get those new numbers, uh we're I'm I guess anticipating
an increase in the per pupil funding. I mean, I'm hoping. Yeah. And I believe I I want to say 2% is kind of what I think that was what um what Kimberly had mentioned in the June board meeting was about a 2% increase. And then um will that just be a we'll just take every category and just up it by 2%. In order to spread those monies around or will those go to specific areas? Go ahead. Oh, great. The superintendence doesn't work. There it goes. Hello. Oh, there we go. Um, yeah, I think when we see when those funds come in, we'll we'll allocate them to the area of greatest need. Greatest need. Okay. And we want to find out and you know, Yep. I'll do that, too. We're still waiting to find out some
of the other information about um Prop 123 and how that's and some of these other things affect uh will affect that. But yeah, we'll take a holistic look when we get the final numbers in and and find out where our areas and needs are so we can we can put them forward that way. Anybody else have any questions? Okay, thank you. Thank you, Courtney. Um so that will conclude our hearing uh for the fiscal year 26 budget. Um we are going to have a little six minute recess because we can't start the truth and taxation uh hearing until 4:45. So uh grab a snack or bath, I don't know, whatever. So, do we need a fish to close
