we're going to start this uh public hearing and I guess we'll start with a pledge of allegiance which I'll lead I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation God indivisible Li and justice for all all right thank you this is a public hearing on the budget Kimberly will'll turn time over you for this presentation good evening governing governing board members and governing board president all right this is our revised budget for December you've all done this many many many times this is just our normal revision that we do um so what happens is that um the since we're on current year funding am I go you can just adce it since we're on current year funding um the our ADM gets

adjusted um uh this time of year so this just this just tells us that we do our budget revision um by December 15th also our AFR is done so we um include our carry forward when we do our December budget so you can see on the next page that our ADM changed slightly we always go go a little bit higher on our adopted um and then it goes down uh when we do our revision that's typical um one thing to note with the group b revised um that 681 um 0621 the reason that that is so low is that um the state department has not approved um any of the K3 reading um plans SL budgets in the state so nobody has gotten that funding yet and they also had a glitch in um their

software where they couldn't upload our free and reduced lunch rate and our gifted rate those are new um additions to the formula and there's something wrong with the software so they couldn't upload those so our um our auditing team advised that we not put those numbers in until we actually get the money we will get the money once they get these things fixed it'll be higher than 1,00 um and that will be an that will be additional funding I'm not sure exactly what it's going to be um but it'll be comparable to what we had last year but that's why that number is so low um on the next page so we added our budget budget balance carry forward so this year we had about $2 million in carry forward last year we had about

$2 million in carry forward you can see we're down um about a 100,000 um that carry forward is crucial this year because we no longer have Esser funding and or any um covid money that most of that will be eaten up in the next two years um in salaries so that's kind of our savings account for the ne to get us through the next two years with our salaries you can see that our teacher experience index which is the age of our teachers which is representative of the longevity of how long people stay at bluid went up um which means that we get additional funding it's very small because it's a small percentage but we did get a little bit of additional fun funding for that um our m budget's a little bit higher of

course because we brought our carry forward over from our adopted budget and our capital is down just about $29,000 and that's just representative of our declining enrollment um as our enrollment goes down our funding goes down and that's just a a result of that and then our classroom site fund money that's our prop or what you know is prop 301 money you can see we have a um a little bit more prop or a little bit a little bit more prop money than we had before about $132,000 more um and again that just has to do with our attendance has to do with what the legislature sets as a prop 301 amount um it's been getting higher every year because our sales tax gets higher every single year because Arizona is a growing economy not

necessarily our town but the whole state of Arizona and that so that number is progressively going up um and I don't think that that's going to stop anytime soon um just with the way that Arizona is growing as a whole this year we were able to offer um our teachers $9,200 in prop 301 money their first third of their payment will go out um in this next payroll um so they'll get a third of that n everybody that qualifies will get a third of that $9,200 before Christmas they'll get the second part or the the twoth thirds part of that $9,200 in June uh once they've completed all of the requirements for the prop 301 plan which you all approved um last board meeting all right are there any questions Diana any questions no at

the moment all right well thank you all right thank you C all right this uh this meeting we don't have to have a motion to close because it's just a public hearing but this me
