001everybody got quiet must be time to start are we on ready to go like to call this meeting to order and we'll begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and uh I'll lead the pledge I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all this is amazing we have more people here right now than we've had at a board meeting in a year it seems like really ex yeah this is exciting so we only have one item on the agenda and it's the uh to um approve the hire of Mr Jonathan rolloff for the position of superintendent as of July 1st 2025 so any discussion no discussion we would like I just want to say
002one thing after done all right we are so excited well yeah we're really excited for you to be here this community is a community of people that are passionate and they love the community they love the school they're really supportive and grateful for anything wonderful that happens and so you come into a big family um that will know everything about you you and support you um even if they don't agree um very headstrong um Cowboys and Pioneers so it's just a fun and wonderful place to be we're glad you're here Chuck um I'd just like to welcome Jonathan and also I'd like to note the fact that he's already wearing the school colors it was the tie originally Jonathan we'd like you to just take the podium there for a minute and introduce yourself turn
003around and introduce yourself to these folks here and tell them anything you'd like to tell him and and um I was going to say good morning but it's it's noon so president Merill members of the board Dr Wright public I'm just really excited to be here um you know the energy since I came up for the interviews and have spent a lot of time in the Pinetop Lakeside area has always been a very positive energy and I'm just excited for you know what the district the potential of this District what Dr Wright has started and what I believe we can continue in growing the greatness of the district my kids did get me these shoes for um my birthday so that they said you know I need to be cool a little bit and uh
004I guess I'm not cool anymore I think I used to be cool at one point in time but uh but yeah my kids got me the shoes and I'm all about the energy and I'm all about the school spirit and uh I'm excited for this community and I'm I'm excited to be part of this community love the weather they said it's not like this every day but you know uh I'm I'm glad you guys ordered up this beautiful weather day but you know I'm I'm excited I think um there's lots of opportunities for academic greatness to be continued and just to support the students of this community because our kids are our number one resource and so investing in our kids and doing amazing things academically and I would um I would be remiss if
005I didn't mention athletically um in Blue Ridge that uh I think we have great things yet to come in our community and so I'm just excited to be part of that so thank you all for well I guess you still have to vote but thank you all for coming here today and uh hopefully voting me in and um I know I start July 1st but I plan to be up here A whole bunch between now and then and uh work work with everybody and being an Arizona native myself I know when people think of Chandler they think of it as a thriving Metropolis now but you know when I was in school um you know some of my classmates were you know lassoing traffic signs and and so Cowboys and Pioneers are not um a
006new story to me and I'm just excited to be here and I think it's going to be a great partnership for years to come and my plan to be here for the long run and to really help this District continue its greatness onto the next generation of uh Yellow Jackets go jackets were there any questions the Bor had for me questions I think we're good thank you so the next item we need to discuss is a motion to accept the recommendation of Mr Jonathan r offer the position of superintendent starting July 1st 2025 a motion from Jennifer a second from Chuck all in favor that's unanimous we'd like to excuse Margaret today is out of town and uh Diana Butler but we're represented Corum so Jonathan looks like you're you're the man now and we
