005approve sole source provider bearden resource group yes we need to use uh the district is asking the board to approve jim bearden as our sole source provider we've worked with jim for five years now and for continuity and training purposes we want to stay with him but because over the last fiscal year it exceeds the amount of ten thousand dollars we needed board approval to to move forward this year i don't think we'll be using him to the extent we have in the past but i would like to have that flexibility in the event he's needed but are there any questions can you explain to the um community what we use his services for so yes he's done yeah we use his services for training particularly in the executive level with our principals assistant principals

007we have the high school and the junior high on the same date and i think we might have that junior high in high school same date what is that date courtney july july 27th and then the high school excuse me the elementary is on the 28th and so we've we've adjusted from feedback from parents that have children at every grade level it was hard for them to make it to three different events on the same same evening so we've consolidated those we also have ongoing registration pre-registration and registration for our students all of our in-district and out-of-district students must register school and we need to provide proof of residence as well and so that's an ongoing effort in addition to those we'll have our orientation for our new teachers our continuing teachers and then all
008staff and before the next meeting we'll have our i think it's august 2nd is our first day of school and whatever the dates are for the 27th and 28th we know it'll rain because it rains every time we get the floors and everything all clean it rains and on the date of the the first day of school august 2nd prior to that we'll have our kickoff with the i think on the 28th is it is our kickoff meeting for all team members we invite the board to attend if they would like and we notice a possible quorum although the board doesn't speak but they're always welcome to that amount is there i think i'm getting feedback i'm trying to get something is there a date that's wrong i want to make sure we have it

010have the right answer are we getting these students registering i don't um the question is are we getting new students uh at the elementary school have you had um any new students out of the community new to the community that have been registering ryan um we've had we've had quite a few new suits i can't give you the number off top my head but we are registering as fast as they come in and we've had quite a few that are coming back to us as well thank you courtney i'm seeing quite a few new names coming through our queue at the junior high as well again i'm not sure of the number but we are excited to see quite a few new students coming in we've had a lot of parents calling with questions on
011registration um and so we're encouraging all of our families to go to that registration night at the two nights that we have uh on the 20th 19th and 20th uh from five to seven uh just to get registered uh but yeah we're seeing quite a few families coming through that are new thank you lauren same at the high school we've seen a lot of people coming in with their proof of residency so that's good they're getting the phone calls and the messages okay good and we know that's an inconvenience but that's the only way we can assure to keep our class sizes small and to make sure that people that are our capacities are met first within district students um so thank you ans anybody any other questions from the board all right thanks so
