001[music] Hello Porters. This is James Wyatt, your student board member, recapping the December [music] 15th, 2025 board of education meeting. The board began the meeting by recognizing the Lockport girls varsity [music] volleyball team on their impressive performance at the IHSA Class 3A state finals and being third place finishers. In addition, we congratulated two [music] National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist students who scored very highly on the PSAT [music] NMSQT. Our final recognition went to a student who received [music] a perfect score of 36 on our ACT. All these students show what it means to be a Porter through their athletic and academic [music] achievements. This board meeting included Abby and Evelyn so that as student board members, we could share [music] our takeaways from the IASB conference, which was the main part of our report. We highlighted
002[music] the two sessions we attended and our takeaways from them like remembering we are humans first. Similarly, [music] the whole board shared their experiences and the important lessons learned and [music] new insight from the conference. Mrs. Adolf from the Lockport District 205 foundation encourages all senior students [music] to apply for the foundation scholarship which are now open. All applications are found [music] in students school link accounts and also linked in the LTHs foundation page. During the superintendent's report, Dr. McBride discuss various infrastructure [music] and facility improvement projects that are on the horizon. It will be up to the board to prioritize which projects must come first with advice from the DA architects and [music] the director of facilities. During the principal report, Dr. JJ and Dr. Green shared how they have been spreading Christmas [music]
003joy around East and Central Campus. They also celebrated their recent student [music] achievements like the magical performance and the museo and vivo in the library from AP Spanish and literature students. Thank you for listening to this meeting's board meeting brief and stay tuned for January's board meeting. Happy holidays and as always, go Porters. [music]
