uh first off can everybody hear with the nascar so we talk without and ask first item on the agenda is the recognition of our vr star awards for january dr wright to take care of it absolutely we have had so many positive contributions from our food service personnel and also the transportation department that we just made the determination we need to recognize all of them both departments so we'll have those awards distributed to those folks and we just wanted to run into the board's attention of the extraordinary efforts food service and transportation have made to make sure that the meal deliveries continue since march we've delivered over a quarter of a million meals individual meals that's an astonishing figure and so in today's tough environment it is important in fact imperative for families to have
a stable food source so the children have been able to have that food provided and those are federal dollars and so we just want to recognize that mr president thank you i see the buses on the road every morning and i see kids meeting them parents need them with boxes of food it's a kind of a humbling thing to see thank you excitement on the agenda is the recognition and acceptance of a donation to the blue ridge school district from camp bison ice and automotive repair a sunyx tool locking service cart and accessories to the high school automotive department valued at 1279.92 we uh make sure we get a letter to them yes sir if it's not already happening absolutely mr fensenger is here um he's our automotive instructor and he's a class is benefiting
from this donation we've received him awesome having to accept that thank you that's an important class for blue ridge i appreciate you doing that uh we have a motion to accept that donation promotion from check the segment from diane allen accepted that donation let the next item on the agenda is the election of governing school board officers that's an annual event first meeting we have in january i'm currently serving as a president somebody else want to take over and shake hands a motion to [Music] say that again vice president you know my mind was going crazy i was saying that the president in charge of vice and knew that was absolutely wrong all in favor that too is unanimous we need to excuse margaret agave she's not well tonight she would like to be excused
from this meeting i wish you're the best next item is item 1.1 resolution authorizing approval and execution of funding proposals grants special projects vouchers warrants salary and other expenses to be signed between board meetings superintendents explore authority to allow a resolution of authorizing vouchers salary and other district expenses to be signed in advance of schedule board meetings this is just to carry over from what we did in the past that's correct we have we have to conduct business in approved all of these are budgeted and it's just a time initiative so this is a pretty typical business it's difficult to do it every time this time of year are there any questions about that we have a motion to accept item 1.2 i will have a second from gender all in favor show the hands
thank you that's unanimous 1.3 identify and record conflicts of interest for governing board members school administration and staff district y this is a chance now for us to see if we have any conflicts of interest i personally don't have any conflicts and interests check yes mine are not big ones but my daughter is an elementary teacher here i have a grandson at the junior high and two students two grandchildren at the high school and my son-in-law is eric cox partnered with uh white home physical therapy and he had a contract with the district so eric also coaches oh yes and he also uh does some coaching for the district so mr waldo they're the same conflicts we identified last year no changes since the policy yes my sir works for the high school and is
involved in both attendance taking and exercise thank you very much blueridge and his organization arizona orthopedics is heavily involved also i think i need to include cam grease since we will be doing some service and done service in our organization right now youth foundation is the one that does this scholarship opportunities for kids and then i'm an employee of white mountain physical therapy who eric cox is one of the owners and then the last one is project elevate is a non-profit organization that does the youth and i have one of the list of attorneys we use my brother is the principal owner of brian wade welker he's on uh lead but he still has a financial interest in that firm and one of about five that we use fairly rapidly that's static trend that carries
on from the former year as well so that's pretty much the same uh just for that which one of your organizations does the marathon the half marathon that is foundation okay youth foundation is that is item 1.3 something we need to just state or we need to vote on those we don't need to vote on those this is a statement just recognize the state report at 1.4 direct you have the annual investments reinvestments and all monies within the school service fund right would you explain that to us yes this gives the authorization to have the any cash accounts that we have outstanding to earn the interest we can direct those to ensure they are earning interest and uh right now manoa county is where the funds are held when they are at interest parent accounts
and we need the board's authorization to continue to do that questions or comments i have a motion i have a second check all in favor thank you um that's only 1.4 at 1.5 the governing board delegation of purchasing authority dr wright explained that one for us also yes sir this requires annual report approval and this authorization will allow myself and brendan executive officers authorized to execute purchases within the limits established within board policy and those are also brought before the board but it allows us to they're budgeted and allows us to expand those those funds with poor people and that does require authorization is there any question on that now we have emotions to accept that 1.5 from chuck a second from dying all in favor okay the next item on this agenda is the
establishment of the meaning states times and location for the regular monthly governing board meetings through december 2021 we've been meeting the second tuesday of every month and it looks like that probably will continue unless there's an exception uh anybody have any conflicts with those dates those are just too far in advance for me to think about i do have one question would you have a board meeting schedule may 11 be it on the 14th could could that be problems were going to be commencement type of activities like um mr webb do you think that would be a problem all right why don't we change that date so what day would that be may 24th ready any other questions regarding that all right so we have a motion to accept 91.6 a motion from chuck the
second i'm jennifer all in favor [Music] that would be unanimous thank you consent gen consent agenda consists of regular items minutes from the previous meeting vouchers approval of vouchers and expenses through the week through the month there are several items mr waldo has come and would like to remove item 2.8 from the consent agenda so we can discuss that and vote on that individually and i notice that we have a young lady here that we probably would like to discuss if that's all right we'll remove both of those and discuss those and vote on those separately i have a motion to accept the consent agenda with the exception of 2.8 2.10 promotion from shuttle above the segment from jennifer all in favor and the unanimous 2.8 this is regard to teacher and principal evaluations and
mr walla you'd like to have some questions about that take over i don't have a problem with just a question i guess just clarification i read the general summary of it and i noticed on there i don't have it in front of me but to paraphrase that teachers evaluations and i think it was about 50 there's a fluctuation there but about 50 is based on the academic achievement of the students but it came to my attention that there are a lot of students a lot of teachers that are not teaching the course subjects that those the progress of the students is measured by with the standardized test so my question is how are we evaluating those teachers and i'm talking about people like pe teachers art teachers music cte teachers that are not teaching the
core subjects which are the ones that are tested to measure the achievement we don't have any teachers this year so that's easy we don't have any art and we only have music at the high school but in those cases the teacher the respective principal will evaluate them based on their content performance mr webb heavens and pearson from the high school so the teachers come up with a pre-test and post tests based on the curriculum that they're teaching and the same way that we would judge a teacher based on student growth that's what they their so it's a customized thing for that teacher and the subject that they teach it's separate from what the core teachers are yes that's correct okay well that's kind of the way it was a number of years ago but i
didn't know whether that was a basis yeah we still did that we actually don't use the state testing as our measure we actually use right now we're using galileo for the math english science social studies if there is a galileo test and they'll do that pre-test and post-test and then measure the student growth based on how they do them on this test okay and for those teachers that are using pre-post testing i assume that test is based on the state standards for that program yes that's correct okay any other questions comments concerns always have a motion to accept i have a 2.8 question from chuck waldo a second from diana hall in favor raising him unanimously okay item 2.0 dr ryan do you want to take over this is miss paige dylan and uh her
older sister gave me a shot on monday and she said that i could have michelle and her sister graduated i said absolutely uh you know and i'll say this this is a very well prepared young lady that is ready to go on to the next phase of her life and like her sister i think are you a certified nursing assistant assistant right now medical assistant absolutely and uh sam worked for us when we got here six and a half years ago and so the request is to a page to graduate earlier that requires congratulations you're gonna have to speak up this year doesn't work very well so i was wondering um the whole process of graduating early do i still walk with my class at the end yes you may okay thank you in whatever
form graduation speaks this year maybe like last year but yes you'll participate in ma'am paige there you go [Music] okay next item on the agenda or business items uh item 3.1 a discussion of possible approval continuation of family's first corona virus response for employees related to cocoa cover 19 dr explained that we need to understand in regard to that yes sir this is a federal act in response to the coronavirus has stated and the first go-around of stimulus the government provided a certain amount of tax credit to the schools and other businesses that afforded this lead to their employees the second round upstate it is up to the board to establish the policies like with every other policy the recommendation would be to provide that leave for those that can demonstrate that they are suffering
from the disease or an immediate family member or someone in immediate care and once that leave is uh is exhausted they would use their their regular leg now their stipulations the board can create you can create any plan you want and the sky is the limit so if the board wishes to say if the employee was able to get a shot didn't have underlying conditions he was able to get shut got a shot got sick go forward two more weeks coverage for you and then you have to use your lead they can choose to say you didn't get a shot um you were able to but you didn't and so we're not going to provide the two weeks or the board to say do we have the budget capacity to do that the answer would
be it it depends on the role if it's a teacher no we don't we don't have a bunch of capacity or the substitutes to really provide coverage for a teacher that's gone for two weeks or a month someone's gonna have to absorb that that will be additional expense uh if you're if you're looking for a direction i believe we've been as as gracious as we can and i think that in instances where an employee gets the illness and and if the board wishes to say oh we want to go ahead and extend an extra two weeks i understand it might be tight but we want to do that if we put a lot of different qualifications on it it's going to be tough to manage so demonstrate proof that you got the shot the other
problem with that is you may have sick employees coming because they can't afford an optimist work which you don't want so i guess the straightforward recommendation would be just continue with it for up to two weeks if they go beyond that they'll have to exhaust the leak and they could be in a situation where you know that they're out of the way at that time um the question probably will come up is our lead bank there is a leap it's not inexhaustible it's it's a defined bucket of leave that we use we have done this principally for people suffering cancer and have other long-term chronic diseases that have caused long-term hospitalization so there are some supports there uh i think that's sort of in line with the surrounding districts i think the surrounding districts have
created something a little more complicated but whatever we approve we've got to manage and then we also have to justify so i guess my in my opinion it would be the easiest thing to say we'll provide an extra two weeks they need to verify that they have the disease or they're providing care for their someone in the immediate household or someone that they're the direct caregiver that's easy to demonstrate i think we must do that i do not have concerns that people are going to take advantage of us and be dishonest with us but we do need the documentation so my recommendation mr president would be to extend it for two more weeks allow that leave and then uh they once that's exhausted they would have to use their lead bucket whatever you have there
and after that's exhausted we don't have any other remedy beyond that are there specific [Music] or per principles so if you have 12 children could they take 13 of those per person you get 2 weeks to use yes for starting january you would have two weeks to exhaust for whatever reason and then once that's exhausted you need to go into your leading vacation correct another recurring case they've already exhausted their two weeks yes ma'am so do we need to check i just thought maybe we should clarify the leave bank that bank has been a belief that other teachers have donated that they did not use or need they've donated that to the bank for other people that need it more yes sir that's a much better description thank you mr mulder okay so do we
need to get that specifically written up and then vote on it next month um absolutely and i think this is the point for discussion i'll take a stab at it and i'll circulate it and mary will provide that to the board president and then if you have questions we'll have the policy that you can read if you're agreeable to the one that will be fun like that you can bless it and approve it okay does that sound okay then we'll just table that bible for next month with that direction to staff [Music] 3.2 recommendations to allow employees to determine whether or not they received the code vaccine um this is yes if uh if i may there are you could argue this a number of different ways i think in in my opinion is that
there are certain employees that have underlying conditions that prevent them from getting the vaccination there are some that frankly believe it's too early and they're worried about it this is not something like an mmr shot's been around for 75 years it's been around for you know 75 days and there are those that are enthusiastically receiving it and so it's all over the board my opinion is that there are certain things that we're trying to leave up to the individual and allow them to exercise their judgment as they will there as the board knows we upset the whole community likely on the 20th of january we're going to resume some form of face-to-face education those that have chosen not to get the shot will you know they understand that they may be more exposed than those
that have already had the shot so this is the board's decision and we will enthusiastically enforce whatever is decided i'm i'm just highlighting my humble recommendation so discussion my personal opinion is i think we should just leave it up to the individual whether they want to do it or not i don't think we i guess i would just add that if a staff person elects not to get the vaccine i think we need to point out to them that we don't have an inexhaustible funding from substitutes so if they don't get the shot and they get coping they're going to use up their their lead time and if they run out of leave time then they either have to ask for the lead bank or they're going to go without some pay i don't think
we have a choice we don't have the funding the state's been cutting our funding and our goal is down we don't have the funding to continue to fund people because they choose not to get the vaccine now as dr white mentioned for those people that have an underlying condition that would make it hazardous for them that's a little different but if they just for whatever reason don't want to get it um that's funny that's okay but if they get it they could end up in a problem so do we have some type of documentation with a person with signs saying that they're fully aware of the results or consequences of their choice the voluntary decision that they're making they're not going to hold school liable or responsible for them receiving a disease that might make
a big impact in their life we that's certainly uh that's certainly a document you could have drafted that's the words will we have that drafted and distributed quickly that would come from our legal thing to see your employer yeah and everybody's assigned waivers to their employees to learn employees have already signed laborers that's already taken care of yes so i'm sure those forms already exist if that's something that we choose like in the hospital you also have to have specific forms and then if your child if you choose not to immunize your child then we also have a form they have to sign and then you say for religious reasons personal reasons more medical reasons so it could be something as simple as that absolutely do our current uh forms have that type of terminology
or is that something we need to include yeah the first one was just a global labor that we had everybody that's coming on campus sign and we decided even though we were pretty much indemnified because of arizona trying to sue your employer or something other than you know a criminal act it's really tough but we thought well it might be redundant but it's not a layer of protection if we want to go ahead and have uh something like that and craft a statement as long as we could use it it yesterday that um take very long i think that in a situation even though it's redundant since this is something a little bit separate because they're choosing you know immunization not we would probably need to follow we'll be following for the students whenever they
are expected to have this particular immunization so i would recommend it and it'll be interesting to know to state this with [Music] that up in advance thank you so my thought is let's take three point two until next month and we have something specific to going on but that would be the direction i think the board wants to see if you would like to if the board feels that they're not they don't have the architect to mandate it you could vote on that that we're not going to mandate that you could direct the administration to also provide a waiver for those that are deciding not to take it and you could go ahead and do that now if you wish it would provide probably some um there are probably some teachers wondering what the board
is going to decide on this okay so we need a recommendation for 3.3 to uh state basically this is not a mandate it's recommended it is not mandated do we need to add more to that it's recommended for teachers and employees of blue ridge to have a vaccine prior to whatever okay do you have an understanding of that mary yes sir okay great motion to accept 3.3 as we stated i'm sorry 3.2 that motion i have a motion from dying all in favor thank you okay i'm 3.3 recommendations for you and approve the memorandum of understanding with arizona state university are very good on explaining this to us yes in more detail yes we already have a close partnership with arizona state university this memorandum of understanding has to do with the asu universal partner
courses it's a cadre of courses that students can take for credit that their parents have to pay for that the district is not going to absorb that expense parents are going to be notified up front there's a cost associated with this course they agree to pay those those fees and then it just identifies the district for being responsible for those charges um i read that form today and i was just wondering uh first of all they're asking on that forum for the name of a contact person at blue ridge that would be in charge of communicating with asu uh i'm just curious who that will be probably the principal i imagine or mr witt that drives the backhoe and says just about everything else and answers all the random questions i imagine it's they know
what they're signing up for and that will be abundantly clear whether or not mr wood okay and then do you know about what those costs would be do you know the average house the course [Music] so they they can choose to take the class that registration beyond it up front is it's a pretty small fee 25 to get into classic they'll go through the whole course and once they complete the course that they want to get a college credit for it and i think it's around 600 that they need to get their college rating so they get it on a transcript right basically what it does is this gives us the opportunity to open up a portal where the students and parents can go in and register for that class they'll take it here on
campus with us but it's all through the issue professor as if they're going through an asu online class but that's probably 20 of what it would cost if they took the course at issue right okay thank you so i'm just from my own clarity uh the parents actually pay the fee to the school and the school pays it is that how that worked straight with two days [Music] information thank you thank you the the the coped update the numbers that i can share with you now are available on any website uh anybody that goes on to theirs of the department of health services you look at navajo county you see the positivity rate is approaching 16 and that the cases per 100 000 are about 119 cases per 100 000 100 is significant spread so
0321100 versus 100 is significant hospitalization is uh is nearing capacity it's not there yet we're seeing a significant fight the good news is there's a little bit of a drought last two or three days i mean it's not drastic and i believe we'll start seeing as i understand it the impact of the new year's eve parties and gatherings the next several days now the historic reality is there's still a lot unknown about the disease itself there is some there's been a significant delay with the distribution of the vaccination as all of us have already experienced and thankfully we're able to have likely all the teachers um kennebunk through 12th grade that want to receive a vaccination we believe a vast majority of those that wish to receive it will have it shot in their arm
by this writing we have dr bennett and another doctor goodman and joello that have opened up for teachers and support staff and i'm hopeful that'll happen this is just a classic dilemma there are no good choices here uh i don't think anybody would agree we should just stay virtually for the rest of our lives or even the rest of the years it's very tough every organization has been faced with the same choice that we evaluate every month aia reverse course and now they're allowing supports two days ago they said we're not going to have sports and why because they got overwhelmed with complaints but there are people that were applauding them and people telling them they were out of their mind so there's no there's no real middle ground to this in every solution we
try to find ways to to bring groups together we're going to be unable to do that so we're going to have to make decisions that we believe are the best interests of kids and staff unlike frankly some school districts not the state i don't think the staff members have been considered i think the board has been exceptionally inconsiderate about the fact it may not initially look like it has great effects for the children but certainly kids can spread it and they have we have probably 15 to 20 kids k through 12 that we know have it we have three teachers that have it that are out our hope is to resume some form of face-to-face instruction on january 20th the 18th is martin luther king day it's off anyways the state holiday the 19th would
be one day of preparation preliminary discussions with our various campuses and principals would be that in kindergarten through six are those that are not doing as well online you know that for various reasons and we're all aware of those reasons um we would bring those children back k-6 on the 20th of january provided things don't get a ton worse in the air and i don't get much worse news now the teachers have uh been told in a vast majority of the exact percentage but i think it's more of 95 to 98 we rather have our kids back they're fully aware we cannot physically distance with these kids their classroom is more accommodated their facilities large we can physically distance outside we can physically distance everybody there's a lot of planning and preparation involved but we're
having to be frank let it know there's no way we can physical distance with the footprint we have the number of the children that we have nonetheless criminal preliminarily we are thinking about doing that because of really two or three reasons but the two biggest ones the younger kids are just not doing as well alone the vast majority of the parents work and they're not supervised secondly they parents need daycare and the parents that need the daycare there's a lot of single parent families in our district that you know they've been putting it together with other family members the best they can for nearly a year now it's certainly been a bit of 10 months and in most cases grandparents can go over and help in this that have underlying causes or over the age
of 75 or 70 or 65 it's complicated what we had discussed with the administration team is junior high in high school would come back and remain hybrid so two days a week monday through thursday the elementary to go monday through thursday on a on a in-person basis beginning january 20th i would like to open it up for questions from the board i'm more than happy to discuss your feedback the hybrid situation for high school well it will be modified based on the input from some of the appearance in regards to how it was implemented i know that we're planning on having computers that can actually have a camera so they can have more skyping or what i'm doing or whatever it's called so what how's that structure going to work so we'll be better overall
for the junior high and high school students and mr wood feel free to speak in if you'd like to add before lauren starts i'll say that each teacher at the high school junior high they want to receive a camera has a receiver camera so they can lecture now they've been freed up there's been a lot of effort to communicate to the teachers don't get stuck and strapped to the curriculum to the point you don't feel like you can interject your personality and and do it the way that makes this content more interesting and then the technology we're probably going to be another two weeks before that's actually imaged and distributed in the hands of our kids we're probably two weeks from today but for more definitive information at the high school level i'd rather have
mr webb give you that information yes dr wright is correct we we are hoping to rely on the technology more to make it more engaging for the students once they do have the laptops that have cameras the kids are able to share their faces with the teachers and when the teachers are teaching to a black screen it's hard to get an engagement from the kids that way so hopefully that part of it will increase also having the ability to have a different webcam focus on the room not just submit to the camera on the laptop itself it's going to be able to see what the teacher's doing on board in any of the discussion that's going on with the hyper kids that are in class that day those students that are participating from home will
be able to see that full range of what's going on in the classroom so are those going to be recorded yes any of the teachers and classes lessons they they can be recorded that's our we're telling teachers to make sure those are recorded so we know that there's cases where students aren't able to connect whether it's they're doing a nava class in the morning and that's the same time with the classic room that's going on they're not able to participate so kids can go back in and pull up their recorded mess and watch what they miss that day it's also great when kids are sick which up and is when they are going better late at night the next day they can go back in and watch that also those students that may struggle a
little bit with the live content they can go through and push the pause and take notes or whatever and so it helps slow down the lesson so and like in an ideal situation can you paint a picture of what the classroom is going to look like will the teacher be lecturing for example for like 45 minutes with questions that so it's interactive or is it mostly going to be like a recorded lesson that they can actually write notes or because i know that a lot of the parents were saying almost off days of hybrid the intensity and the overall workload was so overwhelming that they were spending eight hours to ten hours just in the assignments instead of so our message to the teachers is that we want to focus on around a 40 minute
live lesson if they do that for that live lesson then they have time to work on whether it's a alex program for math whether it's the lesson that's in the canvas that is a structured platform that they're going through like the clinical lesson with the content for example bio beyond biology content it is through a platform where the students have to get the content and go through in all of the pieces that it's it's chronologically ordered so they do have to go through that it's harder for the teacher to have a discussion daily on that area because each student may be in a different place but they can improve that content by clusters where you know the majority of the class are going to have to deal with this today so we're going to have
this discussion same thing with math or english they will have that live discussion and then they can be released to go and work on some of the computer work the other addition thank you mr whip for that and again thank you for being so well prepared the in addition we're going to open up these learning labs before we had the break and before the outbreak occurred we had about 150 kids k through 12 that are in open learning labs some of them because parents need friendly daycare in other situations the kids just weren't doing well alone and so the parents communicate with the principal we provided daily supervision for those kids in some direction and so we we expect to return to that as well um along with the hydra and we understand this is
not for every kid nor do we are we suggesting this is optimal for everyone for some students they love it we have parents lobbying and saying this is what i want going forward and others say i never want to take another online class and there's everybody in between but i will say this that the principals have since increased their inspection of the of the class lessons such as the efficacy of the discussions and i think part of it where the teachers felt part of it was the teachers felt strapped to the content and didn't feel like it varied from it at all we didn't want that so the principal did a good job will help them understand that's that's not the case i think we'll still have some of the challenges we did before i
think we'll see some improvements in some other areas yes so say for example a parent could petition a request that their kids come four days a week and they do two days in their traditional classroom and two days in a living lab that may have teachers as facilitators or teachers assistants so they can ask questions it will be an individual at their learning lab and in one case it's a it's a math teacher that we have that's that's there to help out we've recognized that at the junior on high school level especially if there's a big gaps in math in the math learning and so we've brought in mr willis to help out with that um but it's not we want to make it clear it's not individual tutoring and ideal instruction but it is
supervision in some cases the parents are saying these things need to get out of the house they need a place to go they'll just do better for social emotional reasons they also probably had a total of 30 or 40 kids that we said they're safer here in school not that their whole life was unsafe but emotionally they were they felt better at school and their principles do all they can to try to accommodate those types of requests and so we're encouraging as we have in all of our correspondence we have an individualized need if your kid is suffering something that of course you're unaware contact the principal the principal will get you with our guidance counselor or with your montoya we'll do the best we can some of these teachers are on uh 10 hours
a day i would say mr barton's on there 10 hours a day others probably need to find a different way to incorporate that more most of them are somewhere in between to person with the little kids and not do a chair in high school the high school in general kids are far more social they're far less compliant and they are changing classes and there's a lot of shifting going around the little kids in k-6 are more in pods they do a good job that constructed that school lends itself to say older grades younger grades to the kindergartens have their very own playground the primary kids have their very own play space and the middleweights have theirs on that 10 acre or 15 per parcel that we have you could have 10 classes out there once
without a degree in weekly we're encouraging the teachers to take their kids outside well that's where their conditions printed and we're enabling them and encouraging them to look for ways to keep these kids engaged i'm i don't have any doubt that they'll find a way to make it work i'm pleasantly i wouldn't say surprised but i'm pleased that the teachers are so committed to these kids that they're wanting to take which is really an extraordinary amount of risk to be honest with you i would not be forcing them into it i'll tell you this if the the if a doctor i or someone came back and said 75 percent of our teachers do not want to go junior high or elementary or your plans because there are plans to return if everything starts looking well
the high school and junior high into a four day waiver program yes our hope would be once we have time for all of our teachers to have head and staff the second shot it would seem like uh if it depending on the availability of the vaccine it seems like we're doing better off here than they were in the valley once that has happened probably i don't know targeting might be the third week of february people by then we should be able to say i came through 12 face-to-face provided the conditions haven't gotten worse and we still are able to get that shot if we've had time for the second shot to take effect that would be our hope recognizing two things one we're not going to have a two-week spring break in march because we're
just going to get the kids back we're not going to take too much and by the way the employees will need that week and then we'll have about another eight weeks before graduation hits and so it's the year is really slow as it might seem it's it's january so we want to try to get as much face to face as we can the next part of this is i want to add we will have summer school options for people that want to come to summer school in person and the way that we're trying to design it is k through 12 k through eleven twelfth graders congratulated me was people living in jamaica paige she's undergraduated she's good the transportation uh transportation and food service are the two sticking points we do on our very best
we can guarantee some of the classrooms we do our best at the k-6 we can't guarantee it high school and junior high as long as we're in hybrid we won't have physical distancing we'll also make sure we're implementing mask wearing with fidelity and that we're following all the other protocols including students that have symptoms we require that they go home and we do communicate with accounting when we find out about cases not all the schools do we do and we will quarantine a kid or a family and our employees have been doing great and their parents have worked well with us and that's helped us to reduce the spread as well i think that is the mean of it if i if there are any other questions to answer any other questions i would just
