[Music] so foreign [Music] so if it doesn't work then i'll like to call to order the workshop for bullhead city elementary school board on tuesday november 16th 2021 at 5 30 p.m roll call corey burgess here amanda amen here charlene diaz here anna boyd here we're only missing miss portland at this time so let's go ahead and begin item 1.3 current employee insurance information health pharmacy dental vision life disability workers comp dr stewart mr president and board members we will be considering insurance for the district in probably about march but i thought it would be a good idea to give you awesome background into our current programs now before we start talking about it in the meet and confer committee in january and just give you some background give you some opportunities to ask questions
we have christine marler here from kairos and she's got a presentation to give to you show to you and and then can answer any questions that you might have so this is just a workshop and an opportunity for you to know what we currently have i will say that kairos does our health and pharmacy right now we have emeritus for dental we have vision direct for vision we have unum for life insurance and long-term disability and so we'll be needing to look at you know the whole package for uh for next year so christine if you want to come up to the podium and work with kim on your slides and so thank you for having me my name is christine marla i am the account manager for this district for kairos is there a
clicker just tell her when you want to move okay sorry if you could change the slide thanks and we're going to go through some pooling items some kairas differentiators and your plan designs so why kairos so kairos was launched in 2017 and made up of public entities such as yourself school districts towns fire districts and we wanted to provide a solution an alternative solution for health care because we know it's complex we know it's hard and we want to try to make health care transparent so we came together we opted to provide great service so when you call the kairos line you get me or you get another one of our participant advocates so we're here we're local in arizona we're not outside of arizona we're here for you and we also as i said
aim to provide total transparency so when you're looking at different benefit options we know there are a lot of options you can consider kairos is a health shared risk pool there are other options though so we just want to go over that quickly with you so you do understand the differences and exactly what a shared risk pool means so if you look at the fully insured this is what people usually understand mostly it's an insurance company that has all the control they offer a fixed bid in fixed costs based on demographics and what they think trend will be and they own the control of that so they assume the risk so there's no choice in plan designs or any type of choices if they overestimate the cost they keep that excess funds so again that's
because they assume the risk on the other side of that spectrum would be self-insured funding that would be more for a larger employer however they provide they pay the claims based on claims that come in the prior year and they also do their payments based on their fixed costs such as admin fees and stop-loss fees but they do hold the control so they say what plan designs you can offer and if there is a high claim that comes in though they assume that risk so they're on the hook so if something large just takes one really big claim that could put a lot of risk on that employer but the good side of that is if they under us the claims come in lower than expected they do retain those funds and then in the
middle that's where kairos is it's a shared risk pool it's more like in a self-short where the employer pays the fixed costs and the admin fees and the cost of claims for the year before but the pool assumes the risk so no longer does the employer have to worry about that the pool helps level those costs out the pool does have control over plan designs and if the claims come in under the pool retains the balance since kairos is owned by its members the members retain that balance also kairos is built on a governing board of seven mem seven governing boards and it's across the whole state of arizona so click the next slide and then there's also the dynamic of kairos versus a broker so if you were to stay with kairos we have
a dedicated account manager like myself and we assist with carriers and other things like that we have an on online enrollment tool and the main part of this is we do not accept commissions so where a broker does have commissions and then looking at pooling 101 as i mentioned kairos is made up of public entities you can see on the slide we have 43 different school districts so we know schools we also have cities and towns and 12 fire districts they come together to create the whole kairos pool kairos then administers the payments to the programs the claims and administration and then any surplus is owned by the membership so that's how that pool comes together so then what is the value of pooling and what does this mean to you if claims come in
higher than expected then costs go up for everybody but if fewer claims come in it helps stabilize costs in the pool so that's the value of pooling it stabilizes those costs so it's not on a roller killer of rate increases and decreases year to year it helps stabilize that for everybody within the pool so looking at some differentiators one thing that kairos offers and it's for member experience and cost containment is our clinical advocacy program and this is something we're really excited about we rolled it out this year it's where we hired a nurse on staff at kyros in our office and she helps with looking at member experience and she does this by calls that would come in to the center and let's say you have a member who maybe has cancer and if
they talk directly with denise she can help arrange that care for that member and look at pharmacy make sure they're taking the right drugs and so on and also we inc we added a new data warehouse called deer walk where we ingest claims data directly from umr and she combs through that data to look for things that where she can make a difference to help do some cost savings next slide so this is a quick snapshot of one of the programs that she worked on and this was for infusion so if you look on the left all those six people were at the hospital and she redirected the care for those people by talking to them and finding out the best solution for them some went to an office some went to an infusion site
others went to their homes and by doing this just this one little program saved 27 000 for the pool so that's just one of the things another outreach program that denise has done is working with an infusion care patient where this patient was in the hospital and they moved the infusion site to the home clinic and so not only now does this patient not have to go to the hospital she goes to her house to get the infusion so not only did it help with costs it helped the member and then one other program that she offered you're fine was there was a drug that was excluded at the beginning of the year she was able to look at the data from the data warehouse and call those people proactively and say hey your drug
will be excluded how can i help you find the next best option so that's some of the member outreach and then also we have our member services team which includes me is the account manager an executive and then we have participant advocates in the office so if your member calls into the office to our 800 number someone's going to pick up the phone and we're right here in arizona and we're there to help you so then taking a quick look at your health plan snapchat snapshot for last year um you're looking at a graph for july 20 through june 20 june 2021 and this is a really good story it's a little hard to see here because the the numbers in green are tiny but it's a really good story the comparison period is missing
because you weren't with us in 2019 but overall your pharmacy costs your inpatient and outpatient cots are below our benchmark that green is the benchmark and you guys are doing great as far as that now your specialty drugs and you can't really see it here are a little higher than our benchmark and that is across the board we're seeing that everywhere especially drugs are very expensive and people see that on tv all the time right oh you know what's the latest commercial well i'm telling you if you see it on tv it's probably a specialty drug and it's probably really expensive looking at your shock claims so these are claimants that come in over thirty thousand dollars you had six in this past year for a total of three hundred sixty three thousand and you
can see in the graph there that that create that six people made up about 47 of your claims so this shows you that just a few people can create a large amount of claims and then another slide that we like to show is emergency room visits so how is your membership using the emergency room we all know emergency room is very expensive there are other alternatives like teledoc and urgent care but when people go to the emergency room it's going to cost a lot of money so looking at this snapshot you'll see you're a little higher than that benchmark in that limited category although not outrageously so so it is something that we like to keep an eye on but if you look at the frequent flyers over to the right you'll see two people
had six visits and then if you keep drilling down you'll see one member had four visits so that's the type of thing that we like to have our clinical care advocate take a look at is it something that is legitimate and they're going to the emergency room for legitimate reasons or is that something that we can get involved and step in and help maybe direct that care to the appropriate place and then looking at the plans real quick your school does offer three medical plans with us two of them are copay uh ppo plans a corona copay and one high deductible health plan which does come with a companion health savings account and then kairos does offer other benefits however you don't have them now but we offer dental we offer vision we offer ea
basic fsa and the next slide too please and then we also offer life insurance accident hospital identity and so on and that does conclude my presentation thank you questions um yes we're our claim we're saying that our claims are under what was expected for the most part right and we've seen that trend you've also stated there's 43 schools 12 cities and 12 fire districts are we all in that same pool yes my concern is how much it is to ensure a family in our district if we have this many people in that pool why is that insurance so high it's two thousand dollars you're in for your family sure your group is rated separately for your claims so your claims are higher and i know when you came over from the last carrier your claims
were high there as well so you are rated separately but within the pool so it's based on claims usage on those benchmarks and that was last year it's claimed in this next bid so the way the pool works is to level out rates right so we try not to go up and down up and down we try to level that out we saw a huge it wasn't a minor increase it's two thousand dollars to ensure a family in our district and i think that's what it is initially because we've come in initially with them we i don't know the idea of the pool is to level that out but you have to have a baseline we've only done a baseline now for last year and this year so i i don't i'm not going to
predict what they're what they're coming back with but the thing is they were basing that on the previous couple of years correct so you're rated it actually costs us more to be part of this pool because in open enrollment for fully insured it doesn't cost two thousand dollars to insure your family so um we're paying a lot more my and where i'm at my wife's doing this i can actually insure my family for right around eight to 900 bucks a month it's two thousand dollars um we're basically asking our teachers to give up almost their entire paycheck to uh to ensure their family um and it just doesn't make sense if we're leveling it and we see a significant increase that's not level that's that's can i understand what you're saying but the leveling is
only for the employees that we pay for the leveling is not necessarily for the families because we haven't in we have not paid for the insurance for families because they can't afford it but i'm saying the district is not paid and no apparently no not with those prices i understand the leveling is for the folks who are actually insured by us and paid for by us we didn't see that significant increase from an individual teacher to be insured no i mean it went up it went it went up a little bit the first year and went up seven percent this year which was guaranteed from our first contract with them since it was guaranteed that means for the seven percent for these two years so it just doesn't it just doesn't add up we have
an estimate of like i don't know since we've done well will we have an estimate of dropping so the pool will create a rate for the whole pool so last year it was seven percent and if you were new with us sorry for a guaranteed rate i wouldn't call it a guaranteed rate it's the it's whatever the rate is it's based on trend and what the board agrees on and last year it was seven percent if you were new with us you just got that seven percent so i don't know what the rate will be for next year but since you're still new with us you will get that rate now a group that has been with us longer than three years we do look at them individually as well and let's say they did
very poorly they could get an increase or tick up if they did really well they could still get a small tick down from whatever that base rate is but it's not all over the place somebody's not getting a 20 and someone else is getting a three percent it's the pool so it helps level that up i think corey because you have to set aside that that family one because because it's it's separate from what you all consider and from what the uh the crab trust has been bringing you know all of these years in every single year that they bring the recommendations or have brought the recommendations to the board it's been based on what it what the prices and rates would be for our employees to and it was based on what i heard
our board members saying the two and a half years i've been here and even before that let's make sure we can ensure all of our in full-time employees period whatever it takes to be able to continue to do that and then whatever either independent insurance companies uh or uh or azbate that we used to have or kairos could do i will tell you that if we had stayed with asby the numbers for families went just as high the the numbers for the two companies that were the only two who would give us prices a year ago were within a few dollars of each other the deciding factors for the recommendation were based on some things that were not those dollars things they were based on who could provide cert you know which doctors and which
hospitals so uh you know so i understand what you're saying and you're concerned about families i'm going to put words in christine's mouth but it's one of the things that tara said to the craft board when she was here they could bring us new numbers back that would lower those family rates but to do that it would raise the rates for our employees for what we would be paying for full you know for our full-time employees because it's got to balance out somewhere now i'm not an insurance expert but that i understood that because the money goes into the pool and you use it for what you know for the money goes in for insurance and i get it logic is that if you're going to pay less for one group of people you're going
to have to pay more somewhere else and so they they offered to bring us one that would bring cost us less cost families less but then the district would have had to pay more for the employees that we wanted to be sure we were insuring so personally i don't know that that helps but i mean we're already into that though that was a two-year program we're already into that i understand that yeah but we look into policies definitely want to look into what it's going to take for i don't want to just see the policy of this is what it costs to do or your employees right to see a significant jump i mean we're a small jump i understand but it was significant it was it was a big job it was how much
more though was it it wasn't that much more than it had been before it was five or six like when you when to bring down the cost of families like for for that one that's that would something i would be curious about because one of the things you're thinking about when you're going to get a job is insurance and can let you cover your family with that insurance and then when you go to possibly leave like i know a teacher that left mojave because i'm one of the deciding factors was the school she went through had insurance that covered the entire family and she went to california who has eleven thousand dollars per student i'm just saying it's a motivating factor [Music] one of the one of the reasons we wanted one of the reasons
we wanted this discussion was so that we would know what you found important so that when we're presenting it to meet and confer and they can bring us both sets of data right doesn't dictate how you fund the plans so if you want to pay more towards your family you're welcome to do that you can choose how you want to fund each each level so if you want to pay more on the employee spouse and then maybe bring the cost down for family you're welcome to do that we don't dictate how you you fund those yeah that's what i want to see it's just what we ask them to present to us so you know now that they know we'll make that happen no no i welcome it i welcome questions and i wanted to
know why absolutely mr president it's a fair question do we know how many employees that are unable to provide insurance for the family i would probably i mean i don't know if you could even get that data but well we can we can do our spouse with families we only have about five five of our employees who actually purchase family insurance through this and i'm sure it's because of the cost we try to provide for them information of other resources as well because we know it's high so that would be like my follow up then with that if there's five um five families that were basically talking about is there any way that we can look into doing something to help those five families knowing that the cost is outrageous well except that they'd have
to offer it to everybody you'd still have to offer it to everybody who has families yeah right but if if we're looking at bringing in and keeping and retaining could that be part of our employee incentive that we are able to look at helping with that insurance side i would definitely be interested in looking into that that's what i'm just saying looking into it see if that's something we can do sure you're talking about five ten more options especially five families ten people yeah and especially when you start dealing with you're going to have teachers who they might be the only way those that family gets insurance or their kids are uninsured or perhaps on the government insurance because that's the only option that they have we'd be happy to help with funding strategies if
that's what you need help yeah i like that yeah all right wonderful any other questions [Music] i'm sorry no it's important thank you it's all important stuff it's important and and the thing is with uh with the likely sun setting of the colorado river insurance com trust with the likely sun setting of that organization you're going to need to be better informed and have more say as opposed you know and and spend maybe a little more time on it because that group spent a lot of time doing the research and that's okay you know i think you need to be informed and you need to be definitely all over the decisions because it affects our employees so okay thank you so much christine has some things to take back with her yes i do all
right it's not on the workshop agenda but i would like to introduce to you our construction manager who started work yesterday uh michael bobby is in the back and um um we're getting him we're getting him started on some of these projects the uh we have plenty of projects in esser that were not part of the housing and he's going to be really busy and then getting ready for that if if we get to go forward with that so i want you to know who he was thank you michael all right anything else on the uh item 1.3 all right then i need a motion to adjourn the workshop i'll motion to adjourn the workshop i'll second that motion and avoid all in favor aye corey burgess i'm in eamonn hi charlene diaz hi anna

at the hands of a of johnson and johnson who were responsible for thousands of reported illnesses and deaths related to ovarian cancer and how many more throughout the years before these pharmaceutical criminals were held accountable we will never fully know flies are recalled their drug chantix on july 16 2021 it was used for their attempt to aid in reduction of reducing nicotine dependency it too had failed the public misleading ads and not caring about any possible long-term effects it's money first for them there's still no cure for the common cold they would like you to believe otherwise how many people have seen those commercials for these dangerous drugs that these big pharma are still pushing on you and your elderly loved ones where the disclaimer is longer than the possible curative properties of these evil
pills they are willing to gamble with the health the future the very lives of your children are you you are their voice thank you thank you up next ashley gertch good afternoon governing board members and board presidents my name is ashley garrich i am here because of your new business item 4.08 unfortunately i only have three minutes otherwise i could be here up or up here all night so as of november 4th 2021 today the federal occupational safety and health administration issued a sweeping emergency temporary standard without any opportunity for public comment prior to it going to into effect the ets which requires qualified employers 100 or more employees to develop implement and enforce mandatory covid19 vaccinations policy would force employees to choose between being vaccinated against their will completing weekly covid19 testing at the
employee's expense or losing their job although messaging from osha might suggest that the ets is immediately binding on employees across the nation including arizona this is not the case arizona is not one of 22 osha approved state plans that have exclusive responsibility for the development and when arizona's state plan was formally approved by osha the industrial commission of arizona has proudly worked to establish a model program for protecting the safety health of arizonans arizona's workers in every corner of the state and every industry under arizona's long-approved state plan procedures and industrial commissions has exclusive authority to decide if when and to what extent the state of arizona will adopt the osha vaccines et vaccination ets the industrial commission has diligently followed these approved procedures without issue for 47 years and we'll follow them as it
reviews the 490 page osha vaccinations ets publication that osha only revealed today until such time that the industrial commission takes the formal action to adopt all or part of the vaccine vaccination ets however the temporary standards are not binding or enforceable against arizona's private and public sector employees and employers the industrial commission has proactively put together a coven 19 response team to manage complaints answer questions and develop programs to mitigate and to prevent the coveted spread the commission has also continued to partner with the association's organizations and stakeholders to promote covet 19 safety and awareness arizona has a 47-year track record of protecting the safety and health of arizonans arizona workers and remains fully committed to that mission that was released november 4th and we have our legislators here in complete support of it hey
oh yeah she says um and i was supposed to say a statement but i'm assuming uh leo will get up here and tell ya thanks thank you jennifer domain thank you board jennifer dahmey um i'm here to ask this board to really model leadership because we don't have enough of that in this country that stand up to the unlawful mandates of osha there's no law stand up to the stand up to to these overreaching power hungry uh politicians and more so than that stand up to the media that's scaring the bejesus out of our children nothing's gonna nothing's masked on children there's no science for this we thought the president says there's no science for this so so um please because there's no mandates there's no legal mandates because there's no science because they're only
studying this vaccine on us up to this point there's no studies going on now about what that vaccine is doing in our body it's a new vaccine it's different than the polio vaccine so say no to that say don't look government overreach and say yes to freedom and teach our children that we can't stand up to government because we are the government thank you bill hardy hart sorry my name's bill hart i live at 2952 country club drive i thank you for letting me speak folks um i really have one thing i want to say and remind you as the board of this school district you are paid you are well you're but you paid two represent us the people that pay their property taxes and i really am looking at each of you and
saying to you that what has not happened given what i understand is that there is no public comment being taken as to these vaccine mandates and this is such a serious issue which you've heard a fair amount about that i think enough in for no other reason you need to hold public forums and you need to take input from the people that pay for the costs of this school district okay a couple other things real quick although we have osha and had that discussion the reality is this kind of decision is a states rights issue it's not a federal issue even though we have a state osha god bless us for having that the reality is what we've heard is true there are not a lot of good things coming out of these vaccines have
you ever heard of vares vaccine adverse effect reporting system that is published by the cdc and it is there you can go look at its public records and you can see what kind of adverse effects have been reported and they compare it vaccine by vaccine you can find out exactly what they're not telling you which is how many problems exist i have one example that i will personally use my primary care physician was joel paulino probably most of you know who he is he took the booster the next day he had a stroke he's no longer a practicing physician in anywhere i think we absolutely have got to get the input from the people that pay the property taxes before you make any such decision okay thank you much thank you martin anderson thank you
governing board my name is bart anderson i live here i'm a resident here in bullhead city and i'm here speaking on behalf of myself although under full disclosure i am a state leader for convention of states which is the largest grassroots organization in the united states it's my understanding that tonight you're going to be talking about vaccine mandates i have some real concerns over that there there are several first of all i don't think that this mandate's going to pass constitutional muster so i think the the board is or anybody that's mandating vaccines is simply going to open themselves up to lawsuits and it could be expensive i do know that the two hospitals in town have just published their mandate requirements my wife works for one of them she works around several people many
of which are going to be just terminated because they refuse to take the vaccine so as a result of that we are if things happen as they appear we could have two unoperable hospitals here in town and i i could potentially see the same thing happening with the schools if enough teachers refused to get the vaccine here we go again so aside of the political circus that we're in uh i i i'm concerned that uh there's other reasons that uh we we shouldn't be mandating vaccines the constitutional side so and the educational side you folks are a part of the edu you are the education system here in bullet city and i would hope to god that you would be teaching science and real science and from what i've seen personally i don't believe the
science shows that vaccines are required especially those who have already had the virus and have natural immunity and in fact i think it could be damaging so anyway i would i'm not sure which way this board leans this is the first meeting i've been to so i i'm not mad at anybody i'm just up here talking about what my position is and as time goes on i'll learn what your positions are and i'll be able to address you more specifically thank you very much thank you all right nan nicole nan good evening everyone glad to be here tonight my name is nan nichol i live in fort mohave and mainly my concern i have many concerns that people have already expressed so no use to go over those but you have to realize our u.s
constitution our arizona constitution our governor and attorney general mark brnovich say that we cannot force people to have a vaccine so i don't understand why you even want to approach it you can say the vaccines are available if you want them maybe you can do that i don't know but to come out and say demand people get vaccines is is unconstitutional it's that simple and as you know as citizens of arizona we're also citizens of the united states of america so our constitution is binding on us in the state as so there's no question in my mind that this is going to be as has already been expressed many times a boondoggle and i think it's a big thing that you're doing that you would do that would cause more division we're already divided we
are a lovely community we really get together and get together and work hard and to make this a good community please don't do another thing to divide us again we have over in kingdom i was over there last week in a protest march against vaccines that are being forced on people by private business so please really think hard and long about what you're doing because really we're we the people hold the political power we do not want mandatory vaccines we've already described how they're not healthy for many people and when i got my vaccine it said it was not approved it told me that so we're putting things in our body that we don't even know for sure what they are no thank you so are you in the position to practice medicine i know
i'm not i don't think anyone in this room is so please i've given you many reasons to really consider what you're doing tonight as well as all these other wonderful people so please take it to heart because we're not giving up if we have to come back and forth we we're not giving up on this this is terrible and i think you're all lovely people and you're honor our community so i'm hoping that you'll have a good idea of how to handle this in a good way that won't divide us thank you very much for listening thank you thank you all right um there are no other calls to the public okay thank you no i didn't sign in i apologize but um i appreciate that uh president so i am uh representative leah villasuchi
here from the arizona legislature i represent district five and so um i'm happy to be here i'm joined by my colleague senator borelli senator gowan and representative wilmeth we happened to be at a conference and kind of caught wind of what was going on but i think the main thing i just want to share with everybody is you know at the legislature our intent was to do uh things that are being discussed today you know we actually banned vaccine passports this last legislation session legislative session um amongst a few things but due to a clerical error they did get overturned at the supreme arizona supreme court but our intent was to do this and the reason for that is because we like was spoken here earlier we listen to our constituents and this is something
we get emails about every single day about saying look why would you force something on us right i think we can all agree and say that look we might not be anti-vaccine but we're anti-mandate right nobody has the right to tell you what you can or can't put in your body i hope you guys all realize this i'm getting phone calls daily i got a phone call from a six-year air force veteran 25 years in the police force 13 years on the national guard this is a man who has fought for this country fought for our freedoms and he's being told if he doesn't get vaccinated by december 1st he's getting kicked out of the military we have thousands of people that work for unisource that are being told the same thing and they're just
following the guidelines from the federal government now some of these situations we can't handle but the state level we can right this is was brought up about state rights about the state of arizona we represent the state of arizona we represent the constituents of arizona it's important to have this local control and i think it's important that we make sure you guys listen to your constituents you don't want to have happen what's happening with unisource where they're about to lose thousands of employees what happens if this happens in the educational field we already have a shortage of teachers the last thing we want to do is to force anybody to do anything that they don't want and then we lose half of our teachers now our children suffer so i'm asking you guys and begging
you all to please listen to your voters listen to your elected officials who were put into office by the voters who are saying please do not put a mandate on us and put something into our body we don't want to put and i hope you guys understand that and and believe in that and listen to the people that who also put you where you're at so with that i i want to thank you guys i know it's not easy what you're doing you know we sunday night and us you know four of here we we take the arrows but uh this is what we signed up for and so i trust that you guys will make the decision that's best for your community so thank you guys god bless thank you all right okay with
that uh we are moving on to item 2.6 adoption of the agenda we get a motion to adopt the agenda i'll move that we adopt the agenda as presented do we have a second i'll second amanda amen all in favor aye corey burgess hi amanda amen hi charlene diaz hi anna boyd item 2.8 donations we'd like to thank all of those that donate to our school oh i'm sorry oh superintendent reports i apologize that's okay mr president um can i invite our representatives to please stick around there's an important piece gentlemen can we invite them to stick around there's an important peter piece of legislation they need to be part of um that i hope that they will listen to it's it's extremely important with the funding of our schools and educating our kids i
would love to have since we have them here please stick around because i would like to know where they stand on that also please gentlemen if you would please stick around there's a very important piece we're going to be talking about on here about the funding of our schools and we'd like to know where you stand because this is extremely important um thank you thank you very much so mr president and board members you have my written reports i don't have anything to add this evening i'll answer any questions you might have any questions on superintendent's report i would like to uh entertain so i'm sure these gentlemen have long ways of travel and things to do go back to item 2.6 for the agenda can we move our funding item up in the agenda
line item would anybody object to that so they can be here we will move to amend the agenda i'll move that we amend the agenda to item it was item 2.6 we want to it's item 4.9 no kim will you scroll down please on the agenda 4.7 limit our next topic i'll second that all in favor aye corey burgess i'm amanda amen hi charlene diaz aye anna boyd all right so moved okay item 4.7 uh dr stewart mr president and board members i presented this to unite tonight as a discussion item it's not an action item i sent you some background information but for the public who's not aware the aggregate spending limit which was established initially in 1980 establishes that for public school districts in arizona k-12 districts that the total amount of money
budgeted in those schools in the state could not exceed a certain money level each year and that is based on roughly based on enrollment the previous year and some adjustments for cost of living or inflation as we all know arizona was missing over 50 000 students last year and so when that formula was calculated for this fiscal year it was considerably lower than in previous years and in fact it ended up being for this year when you take all of the budgets of the public school districts in arizona for this year add all of those budgets together that have been approved the aggregate spending level is roughly 1.2 billion dollars lower than all of those budgets combined obviously all the school districts in the state have set their budgets for this year and are operating
under those budgets the only way the aggregate spending level can be suspended for a year is by a two-thirds vote of both houses of our legislature and so i wanted you to be aware of that in our case that is 2.7 million dollars of our 17 million dollar budget that is uh that is disastrous for our district it would mean that on april 1st unless the aggregate spending level is uh suspended for one year it would mean that we would literally have to lay off every employee in the district who is paid out of our m o budget the only employees we would have for our 2400 students would be about 20 teachers who are paid out of esser funds and five special ed teachers so i wanted you to have this information so that
as a board you can be thinking about how we can approach our legislators in december and ask them please to give serious consideration in the first part of the legislative session to suspending the aggregate spending level for one year so that so that districts in arizona could operate we are fortunate we have the 2.7 million dollars available in our sr3 funds that we set aside for our our employee housing neighborhood that's a dream that we really would like to to do but could we do without that to keep from laying off employees absolutely but i suspect there are many many districts in the state that would be crushed by the change so i wanted you just to have the information so that we can be talking about what we might do to talk to our
legislators about that suspension of the aggregate spending law i was i was quite excited to see you gentlemen here and i'm glad that you are um so we can this saves us a lot of leg work um on that fact um so thank you thank you for being here did we have any questions for dr stewart on on this situation that we're in and please if we're missing something let us know because we definitely want to know that but this is a huge huge huge problem and it's really a suspension of this because our budget was already approved um and it would basically roll into a situation where under those guidelines it would happen in april we'd be laying off everyone because this is a 17 percent of mno not our entire budget of so
it comes out of them mno and capitals yeah so it would basically mean we have to lay off all of our teachers um so this is disastrous yes i will just mention it was two years ago when we we actually hit the constitutional limit uh for education funding and we did vote on this before not on the same thing but something similar where we hit the cap we had we had a raise at the legislature it went through unanimously um obviously we're gonna look at this and and you know see what's going on and what's happening and um you know education is important to me i know it's important to uh many people in this room make sure our children are being funded regardless of where it is right whether it's private home charter the
key is make sure the money's there to make sure our children are getting educated properly so we'll absolutely look into it and do what we can to to make sure it gets fixed so wonderful wonderful so that's i mean we're not asking you to to change because it is two-thirds vote i totally get that but as long as we know that we have your support in this and that we will be you know working to correct that did i speak out of turn for the rest of the board on that anything you wanted to add um so this is affected by this no they're not charter schools are not affected this is only public schools so that is something else that we i would encourage our legislature to look into making an even playing field
um the way that we do have that that would be great um anything else that i missed on that no and i and i uh mr b succeed i really appreciate your statements um it's really important to us that and we we know that legislators care about our educational system but you can understand how particularly other school districts that don't have a fallback position like we have are are very nervous about all of this and and we don't want to give up our housing project we we think that's going to help us attract um employees to our community but uh but at least we have a fallback position so we really appreciate your support gentlemen thank you very much thank you for sticking around yeah thanks for coming back saved us some legwork i appreciate
it thank you so much yes appreciate it for a few minutes yes thank you all right so let's get back to our agenda we are on now we're on 2.8 all right now we're on 2.8 donations once again thank you so much to our community that steps up and helps us this is greatly appreciated they fill in so many different holes for our district we couldn't do this without you coyote canyon received 57 sweatshirts at an estimated value of 1 fifteen hundred dollars from the legacy foundation uh desert valley received 120 webster dictionary paperback an estimated value 598.80 from the rotary club and of uh 750 2 ounce water bottles are i'm sorry bottles of hand sanitizer at an estimated value of 750 from circle k fox creek junior high gift cards and gift back

those that stepped up and helped our district uh item 2.9 board member updates uh do we have any updates at this time um well i just want to say like congratulations to community achievement um winners we have one in the room back there in the corner james mcnutt who hides behind uh yes congratulations mr mcnutt and then to all the finalists and then also i um stuck down to the veterans day um ceremony at bullhead city middle school it was pretty awesome it was exciting to be back be in that gym and watch it go on i the band the violin the strings they did a great job the presentation the students they made little keepsakes for the veterans and uh thank them for their service there was a donation made that they raised money
to donate back to the combat vets and um the combat veteran who went to collect it said i'm usually the one giving these out not collecting so it was really kind of neat for them to be there they brought motorcycles and items and it was it was really neat to see that that they were there the kids did a great job they were all squeezed into the one side of the bleachers and down into the front row and it was really nice they all recited the declaration of independence beginning of it that was amazing it was really nice to see him be a part of anything else all right uh item three point it's crossed out online nine three point nine three point nine sorry approval of the consent agenda do we have a motion
to approve the consent agenda i'll approve the consent agenda as presented charlene diaz all second amanda amen all in favor aye corey burgess i am anna amen hi charlene diaz hi anna boyd so moved uh item 4.1 work at bullhead city middle school dr stewart mr president and board members this is signing a document uh to authorize um a a vendor to work on the roof at the middle school excuse me it is one of those kind of poured soft roofs whatever it sprung a leak it is not covered by insurance and so we do need to we do need to fix that otherwise we're going to have quite a bit of damage in in the cafeteria so the scope of work is there for you to see and the price and we need approval
to proceed with these repairs did we send this out for bid as expected yeah we did well actually it goes to mesc so we didn't have to bid because we're using one of the contract vendors um that get you know that's already been vetted and and that kind of thing so we're following all the procurement rules to make sure this happens correctly all right any questions okay yeah this uh can we get a motion on item four point i turn my page i apologize 1 4. i make a motion to approve 4.1 work at fulham city middle school i'll second that motion all in favor aye corey burgess hi amanda ayman aye charlene diaz hi anna boyd so moved item 4.2 policy gb eba staff dress code first reading dr president and board members um
you have in front of you a recommended change in the dress code this went to the employee advisory committee and the changes that you see are ones that they recommend and it is first reading so you don't vote on it tonight but i want you of course to be aware of their input into the changes and you knew that this is you've known that this is one of the items that they've wanted us to be considering for quite a while so they were very cooperative it was a good group they had a good discussion and they had good suggestions all right this is only a first reading so we don't make action on this today but please read this over if you have suggestions comments be ready for our second reading any questions at this
point um the only thing that i would say is like for when they go like when they look at it and stuff like that if they can look at it again per se the question i would have is is there a reason at the elementary level that they can't have them like is there some sort of like that's the only thing i would it's just part i mean they didn't even bring that up the things that you see there were all of the items that the committee brought up and uh and they all assured me that they had because it represents every site and transportation and uh classified employees so i said you know are there let's put it out there anything that you want to discuss and these were the things that they selected
so apparently they're representing their uh their folks if anybody has a suggestion of making changes do they just contact one that's on on the board okay cool yeah on the advisory committee yeah on the advisory committee the advisory committee advisory committee right right and um and you know and and mostly i just facilitate the meeting um the other thing is that i keep uh you know i do remind them of things that are legal or not legal because we're not gonna we're not gonna bring something to you that violates any of the laws but um i was i actually was rather surprised that they didn't have more changes as they were interested in but they were pretty adamant that these were the only ones they wanted so i would contact them if i wanted that
suggestion that you are more than welcome to do that okay i just want attention yeah but it's the advisory committee um and by the way mr president by the way the uh the we do record the meetings and uh kim has set it up so that you can as board members listen to those recordings if you'd like and hear the discussion so we do that with meet and confer as well and make those available to the board and to our other employees not to the public since it's not a public committee or you know an official board committee okay um just so if there are other recommendations it would have to go to another first reading um before that would happen um so you know just to put the discussion out there we are on
the first reading uh when it comes to the tattoos i'm not in favor of changing that part of the policy um that is that is my personal feeling on that of where we are at because you're kind of leaving that open to lots of interpretation you know i'm not saying that we're going to get somebody apply with no regrets across their throat but rats not regrets but um making a suggestion that they make that more explicit yes because that leaves a pretty wide interpretation you're wanting us to go from none at all to as long as it's not alcohol or tobacco you're okay no well it says well it does say vulgar or well who determines what's vulgar and obscene right now we're getting into a whole nother can of worms to where if we
you know if we have full sleeve all the way down your fingertips working with kindergarteners is much much different than somebody saying you know with with a with a tattoo of a butterfly on their wrist very very different world why do you have you don't have a butterfly wrist i mean i have tattoos on my wrist or my kids names but my question is is why like i walk through the grocery store if i go to the park somebody that's tattooed from head to toe could be there with their six-year-old and i'm there with my six-year-old nephew i mean if it's not i've seen a vulgar and it's in that but who determines what's obscene and vulgar that's my point that would be yours where it says the alcohol beverages tobacco or controlled substances or
sexual or which are decent vulgar or obscene i'm sure they can define yeah that's what i'm asking is let's let's be a little more because the way it's written here is way too broad for me i'm just saying that's that's way too broad we need to get a little more i'm good with scenario narrower scope yes and and like possibly like like no face tattoos or something like that if you really want that's my point you know it's but but like i said my dad was a tattoo artist for years and i don't know how many doctors he's talked to but it was a lot and those doctors cover those tattoos in most hospitals not in all and there's still a lot of employers that do that i'm not saying all i'm not saying all
and i'm just saying okay everybody has their i mean why they do and what they do hey that is your opinion but but when you are in the classroom with a kindergartner first grade or second grader um the way they view those things and and discussions that are coming on because of some of these things who determines what's obscene so what i'm saying is there needs to be more detail on this um i'm not saying that if it's we're gonna not allow that's not what i'm saying i'm saying the way this is butterfly's okay but the skeleton's not no no no no no that's my point is who determines what is vulgar it's two it's too broad we need a little more i'm good with getting a little narrow scope that's and it's good to
have that discussion tonight i will tell you that uh the folks on the committee are pretty excited about the fact that the second reading would be in december and that this might go into effect oh man so so that whatever it is this is a great chance for you to get your piercing idea on there um because that could all be one you could have a great argument i guess the only thing i would i guess the only thing i would say to you anna is that keep in mind that this is the bullhead city employees not necessarily not necessarily you know what they're interested in so obviously they didn't think that that was important is there a way to send out a survey to the staff and find out what the changes are they
thumbs up can we get like some poll to see how people feel if they don't like the changes if some are like yes and see if we can get like a majority that are that kind of over overrides the point of having those folks that they elected or selected to be on that committee to represent them because well maybe if if the commit like does the committee did the committee send out a survey because you might not know what those people want or don't want and maybe some people don't even think about it they get busy with life i know i do you know and so they might not even think about those things until all of a sudden they get the new policy does that make sense i it does make sense i would
say you might want to listen to the recording because as i recall everyone said everyone in the group said um you know i've talked to the people on my staff and i'm representing their point of view so um uh and and for i'll give you an example that doesn't have to do with that but when they were talking about when they were talking about the genes they said you know we need to police police ourselves and and so the changes that they made in that they wanted those changes but they said but then we need to police ourselves and and you know that's what that's kind of what responsible teams do is that they recognize we also had the conversation about the change from visible tattoos to even this discussion and the idea that when
it was originally written in 2010 there were not very many people with visible tattoos and totally understood you know and and so you know they recognize that times have changed but they also said but we don't want to just see anything so they were pretty thoughtful about that doesn't mean you can't express that to them but i think they really have i think they really were thoughtful about it i was pleased with without going crazy they didn't go crazy no and they were the ones who said we need more specifics about hairstyles because they said we have real they said we have real specifics for kids we don't have them for adults we need it for adults as well and and the footwear so you know they they were pretty thoughtful it was a pretty
good discussion great sorry but whatever you all you are the board so it's your policy so you know they're recommending i'm backing their recommendation but that does not mean that you can't make some changes in it because you can as the board yeah no i like so far what they've had i understand the specifics the only thing i was thinking i had friends that are from india and they actually had to leave a couple like jobs before when they worked at certain places because they had nose rooms for religious reasons uh because of different ceremonies and stuff like that that they had and so i just was kind of thinking about that in the sense of like future you know what i mean you may not show someone there now we do we have we
have some students who are there and we simply ask them to put clear clear you know replace them the obvious uh jewelry with clear jewelry to you know and and i think the same would be too true probably with the adults we're not going to step on somebody's religious beliefs i don't think that's appropriate i agree all right so once again like i said this is the first reading so we'll see if there are any recommended changes for next meeting but we'll go from there item 4.3 lease of two the legacy foundation backpack buddies dr stewart mr president and board members we have we have terry tomlinson here with us tonight from legacy foundation she and i worked together with to come up with this lease agreement they were looking for a new place to
store the items for for backpack buddies and to have an office area for my my the name just went out of my head rebecca who runs that program and so i took them over to coyote we looked at three rooms at the back and the only reason for the back is it's right next to the bus yard so it would be easy for them to pull trucks up and load and unload and do those kinds of things so this lease agreement is for uh two classrooms to be their storage area and then for another classroom to be kind of an office area for rebecca to work and it gives them enough room to do that their board is liking the agreement we used the standard lease agreement with a couple of changes i took out
some things that didn't apply like football fields and some of those kinds of things that didn't really apply to make it a little shorter because you can see it's 21 pages as it is and so they have agreed to 2 000 a year and that's reasonable for us and uh it's a good program for our kids and we are glad to be partners with them if you all agree i am excited that we can help the public that may not be aware of what backpack buddies is legacy foundations put together a program to supply kids in the school year with essential needs to go to school and it's a huge huge undertaking so we have the room this is a great deal we we've got the place where we can step up and help i
personally am very much in favor of this that we could we could do something that is there for our kids so this is perfect any other questions comments concerns all right then we need a motion to approve the uh backpack the lease with the legacy foundation i motioned to approve the lease with the bullhead city uh legacy foundation backpack buddies i'll second sorry i'll second that all in favor aye corey burgess hi amanda ayman hi charlene hi anna boyd sorry kim so moved okay item 4.4 exhibit g-o-g-d-o-e-a uh dr stewart mr president and board members um a couple of months ago when we were looking at evaluations and those things we decided to make sure that we were using the terminology across the board the same terminology for the categories for evaluations and i had
this stuck in some other documents that i ran across and i thought oh this is a good time to bring it to you these are exhibits so you can approve them tonight it just makes consistent across all of our evaluations teachers administrators and classified personnel the same terminology for and it and the same point value so it turned it around and um so all three of these documents uh uh follow that so it's just a matter of approving any questions i think can we get a motion on 4.4 i make a motion to approve 4.4 exhibit g-d-o-e-a i'll second amanda amen all in favor aye corey burgess hi amanda amen uh charlene diaz hi anna boyd so moved uh 4.5 exhibit g-d-o-e-b dr stewart uh it's just uh it's the actual evaluation for support staff
and once again just changing those designators okay need a motion to approve i'll make a motion we approve item 4.5 exhibit g-d-o-e-d i second that motion adam boyd all in favor aye corey burgess aye amanda ayman aye charlene diaz aye anna boyd so moved item 4.6 exhibit g-d-o-e-d mr president board members this is the evaluation for paraprofessionals it's a little different than the others because of course parapros have some slightly different responsibilities than the other support staff but it essentially just changes those um ratings at the top any questions then i move we approve item 4.6 i'll cycle that motion all in favor aye corey burgess i'm amanda eamon i'm charlene diaz hi anna boyd so moved item 4.8 emergency temp emergency temporary standard ets the occupational safety and health administration osha dr stewart mr
president and board members you'll notice that this is also a discussion and information item it's not intended for any action and it was to bring you up to speed on on the emergency temporary standard that's been mentioned was mentioned in the calls to the public this was put out by the federal government a couple of weeks ago three weeks ago maybe and i wanted you to be aware of it it's kind of a complicated situation it is being challenged in court it's also being challenged by our attorney general in arizona and uh so it's kind of a moving target none of it if it stands takes effect until december 5th which happens to be before our next board meeting but the legal advice we have from mr hufford our attorney is to just kind of
wait and see what happens there's no real point in taking any kind of action at this moment but being prepared for whatever happens so i just wanted you to be well informed of the circumstances and the situation and and where we might have to go quickly uh if uh if the courts uh uphold uh this um this ruling so it's information and for your discussion to give us some ideas of where we go next personally i'm not in favor of any mandate we don't have that right or privilege however if we're legally bound to it because of a law that doesn't currently exist then we would have to readdress this so personally since it's just information i'm not in favor of doing anything but what could become an issue that we could discuss when it
becomes an issue is if that changes legally so i would like to recommend to the board that we're ready and prepared to have maybe another meeting if needed to discuss this but i am not in favor of supporting any such mandate mr president yes um i'm absolutely not in favor of mandated any vaccines but i have a question our governor has stated and has told us that we as a school district cannot mandate mass osha is now telling us that if they're not vaccinated they have to work mass that's that's why it's being challenged right but this once again goes to our state gets to make our own laws so if we decide that our law is going to be that is not what is supported and we are allowed to give a action plan
for the state of arizona in the state arizona says our action plan is we're not mandating then we don't have nothing to worry about where we would have something to worry about is if that's not the case and we go to a federal level and the federal says no this is what you're doing guys her hands are tied because if osha says this is what you have to do and it's federal law we can't afford a lawsuit by saying oh don't pay attention to that and then they sue us because they get coveted and now we're responsible because we ignored federal law we're not in that situation right now that's totally a moot point doesn't matter i'm not willing to support such a thing because who am i to go tell somebody they have to
get vaccinated that's none of my business um so they what they want to do is is their business um so i am not willing to put forth anything like that however i am willing to have another discussion if state law changes uh because that is a possibility because it is being challenged in the court that is a possibility um are the other members of the board willing to have an initial meeting if need be yeah yeah all right and we can send out the information and we can send out the information um so there is a possibility that this could happen before our next meeting is why we kind of needed this information to see what was going on but i don't i don't want to jump ahead of the gun no no no no
not interested in that but putting anything in place in a temporary i'd rather wait to have a meeting because we're going to have some time if they put something in place that requires us betterly to have to make these mandates it's we're going to have time to put it in place we're not going to be penalized so i'd like to wait and see how many lawsuits hit the fan and how long it keeps getting pushed back because i'm not going to put anything in place that's going to require vaccinations or the mass mandates um if we don't have to yeah because it was just like when coveted hit i was adamantly against the whole mask situation i felt that was fun but adamantly against however the governor told us you are going to do it
there is no choice so at that point we can't we were not local representation at that point it was taken out of our hands so the idea of this local representation we get to make what's best for our community doesn't always exist sometimes our hands are tied but i am not in favor of more government oversight at all especially when our lawyer says it's premature to draft a prospective policy at this time yep that's all she wrote for me because we may never have to correct we may not have to but i would just like be prepared in case we do have to meet because the deadline is december 5th which is before our next scheduled meeting so that's why i wanted this information out so we all knew where we were at um and
the public knew where we were at because you guys definitely don't want to be surprised any more than we want to be surprised so we definitely want to know what's going on but be ready in case we have to discuss it then we will talk to our attorney see what legal where we can and can't go at this point but right now we don't have to do anything so we're not going to do anything and i and i always send to you yeah i always send to you that you know if when we get updates and information from the attorney i always send it to you as the board so that you're aware i suspect that mr hufford is prepared with a sample policy if in fact we have to go there so uh you
know what i just warned you all aware up front and i appreciate the heads up i'm glad and we're glad we had it on here so we could talk about it because we didn't have time in the workshop even if we would have had a few minutes there really wasn't enough time to talk about it to even let people know our opinions so i'm glad thank you for those that stayed to hear our board's opinion thank you for those that tuned in to hear what our opinions are and where we stand but as you can tell we are not doing anything unless we have to all right any other questions comments concerns okay all right moving on 4.9 purchase a property using unrestricted capital funds dr stewart uh mr president and board members you had
indicated in the past that i could go ahead and work on purchasing the property and of course then i kind of got a little antsy about that when the things about the aggregate spending limit came out but we want to be ready especially since we now have some good news from the uh legislators who were here this evening that it's probably pretty safe that it that that's that aggregate spending limit will be suspended and there is other good news related to that both the president of the senate and the speaker of the house and our own person regina cobb had already said that they were in favor of suspending so it still takes a two-thirds vote but it's really nice to hear those words from the people who represent us but we want to be
ready on march 2nd to move forward if in fact that gets approved so that means we can't do anything if we don't own that property i'm i have we have money in the uh in our budget in our capital the only way we can purchase that property uh without going to a vote of of our public voters uh if if the property is valued at over fifty thousand dollars which it is uh is to use our current capital funds to do so we have the funding for up to a hundred fifty thousand dollars and uh so i just wanted at this point to get a formal approval from you to go ahead and purchase that property it is my opinion that if if the property is still available for the 150 000 or less five
acres at that price is pretty awesome in this market and it would still be a good investment for us so i wanted some backing from you before we proceeded the attorney tells me it's a simple purchase we would not need an attorney involved in this so i just want some direction from you all i'm a little nervous because the legislature is not always they don't always do what we think they're going to do and if we have to give up that 2.7 million whatever it is and cover it from cover the employee expense from esser then we're not going anywhere with that property probably you know what i mean it's it's in other words we're not going to be able to start that project so we spent 150 000 that's tied up yeah and do
we want to tie up that kind of money you know at this point i don't know i i i don't have a lot of faith in legislatures that they're going to two-thirds of them are going to do what we think they should do when is the vote uh if we went to a vote with the public oh you mean for the legislature yes they have to do it before march 1st however the conversations that were that took place with the president of the senate and the speaker of the house indicated that they would put it on their agenda as soon as the legislature comes back into session which is about the middle of january and so that does give us a little wiggle room in terms of of this kind of decision now you know
having it on the agenda right away as you say mitre might not happen it's pretty encouraging to me that you know that folks are that our legislators are pretty positive about this but you're right it's a two-thirds vote i mean it's not a simple majority and and the legislature you know the balance of power in the legislature is only one vote you know the republicans have only one additional vote over the democrats so two-thirds vote is pretty pretty powerful kind of situation so that's one reason that i wanted to bring this back to you i just want if we're you know if there's hope for us to move forward with the housing project we don't want to wait too long to to do the the you know the property but can we wait sure that's
one reason i brought it back to you and it is understandable with the two-thirds i totally get what where you guys are going with this um but you know one of the one of the biggest things that and like we heard from our representatives it was unanimous last time um i'm hoping that we're not the the schools aren't saying hey give us more money all they're asking is approve what has already been approved because of the this coveted disaster and attendance numbers screwed us up in that count and that's what screwed everything up so the budget was already approved that was already done so i don't foresee but i'm not trying to convince you to change because i like what you said i absolutely agree with what you said but i just wanted to make
sure that everybody was on the same page with what what is going on um we could because i i you know we could make a make a motion on this and this is the motion i would like to make that we approve the purchase of this property based solely on the approval of the the uh suspension yes the suspension of the aggregate spending um that way we can move forward and if the owner of the property is okay with this i mean it's basically as long as that's approved we're buying it's not approved then we're out i mean i know when i've sold property in the past you know oh no that light fixture is bad and they're out right so so people selling real estate are used to this situation of things can cause
it to go out of escrow but if he knows going in that that's our that's our end-all be-all because we are not tying up 150 000 bucks to sit on property and hope what's going to happen um so i would like to make that motion do we have a second [Music] i'll second that motion okay all in favor aye corey burgess hi amanda amen i'm charlene diaz hi anna boyd so moved was that clear do we yeah so i can at least proceed with conversations with them just not conclude the deal and that's that's perfectly okay if the if the owner of the property is willing to work with us that way it works for us thank you all right uh 5.1 future topics do we have any future topics that we need to discuss
at this time do we need to maybe re-discuss a little bit with the coaches that we share between the districts or is that something i can talk to you later about and add on we can always add if something comes up absolutely we just need notice to get it on onto the agenda so and i'm and i'm always last minute on that stuff so please don't you know get it to get it to us over as soon as possible but anything you guys ever want to discuss because things will come up so things you want to discuss or have on the agenda just sent me over an email uh please carbon copy on that kim because or items look at me because i forget a few things so please uh carbon copy kim on that
and she'll make sure she keeps me in line and um that i do except for putting papers in my packet um everything else i'm yeah a nice one on that by the way i did that was kind of funny mr president i will remind everybody that we will have a revised budget a second revision for december and we will have at least one executive session you all get to tell me how i'm doing or not do it and so we'll have at least that and we'll have some other items so it'll be a little busier agenda than this and then you all can start thinking about uh if you want to go back to having some workshops moving on through policies uh in maybe starting in january even halfway through the first book any other
future topics that you may know at this time like i said just please email it to me and myself and kim and and we'll make sure to get that put on the agenda for you um upcoming board events just the asba lunch and learn webinar uh the 64th conference annual conference on december 15th these are open to all board members if you'd like to attend please send that information over to kim and she will get that um and i will be going to that conference so just so you're aware i will be out of town for those uh two days so two and a half days thank you i don't know if this was you kem or thank you for the december scheduling information that's pretty awesome i appreciate that so we don't keep putting
our meeting on top of other community events that allows us to do a quick look and see what's going on any okay any other things about the the meetings future meetings no okay 5.3 date time and location uh right now we have our regular schedule meeting set up for december 9th uh 2021. it's not a wednesday i'm good it's gonna be kind of a strange mix right in the middle of things but uh yes i can make that meeting um everyone so far look pretty good all right um so we do uh so do we need a motion to set that time no we just set that no it's a regular meaning so you don't really have to have a motion okay good um so with that we just i'm in our workshop uh yes
yeah 5 30 for the workshop six o'clock for the meeting uh with that we just need a motion to adjourn motion to adjourn and a point i'll second the motion charlie news all in favor aye corey burgess i'm van ayman hi charlene diaz hi anna boyd hey we are adjourned thank you all for coming out thank you you
