002regarding the colorado river area health employees benefit trust that we generally refer to just as the trust when we're talking about it here in the district as i said there are some issues i've given you some background information but the trust has never quite functioned the way that its declaration has said it's always been very much just an advisory committee and has been very valuable to both districts as such because they've done all the background work before any decisions were made they don't have any other purpose there's never been a trust fund there's never been any co-mingling of money from the two districts unlike what was originally intended so it's been a very very much an advisory group as i say there have been some issues and i think perhaps it's time for us to
003at least discuss and consider withdrawing from the trust so that we can just move forward the reason i asked for this special meeting if any of you've been following what has been going on as dr stewart has explained to us the documents that she sent out so we have that information there has been a lot of accusations a lot of false statements and rumors that have gone around and i just felt the easiest way to just resolve this situation is let's start over so i was asking what would it take for us to to just remove from this trust maybe establish a new advisory committee and move forward and dr stewart reached out to the attorney in rela and found out that yes we can remove from the trust this would dissolve the trust because
004there would no longer be two cooperating school districts and at that point we can move forward now my biggest concern is what would happen to the health care of our staff the good news is we've already approved it so they are already contracts are in nothing is going to be lost we've already made the motion there there was a concern with the others the vision the dental we've already received notification from those two that we're good everything will continue on the only thing we're waiting on is the disability and life but we presume the same thing is going to happen but we can cross that bridge in my opinion when we get there and just continue moving forward so are there any other questions about what we are discussing this evening no okay at this
005time i would like to move that we withdraw from the make sure i get this correct uh where is the name the c-r-a-h-e-b-t health benefit trust at this time and give our 60 days notice to dissolve i'll second that motion all in favor aye corey burgess hi genie borland hi charlene diaz i'm amanda i'm so moved we have made that decision um at this time i would like our board to appoint someone to go to the meeting tonight and address crushed and let them know of our decision and what we are doing so they can make a decision based on what has just transpired i'd like to nominate corey purchase to do that like to second that okay do we have any other nominations i will accept so with that all in favor aye corey
