Okay? Welcome to our special school board meeting today. Um we'll skip with our our other formalities and we'll go straight to our first act first and only action item uh track change order. Mr. Funk Yeah. So, uh I think it was last week or the week before the board had a workshop to learn about um track coatings and um some potential solutions to some possible um vapor coming through the concrete and just we want to make sure that when we put the surface on that we're getting um the right surface for our kids and also something that's going to last. So, um the track company that we've been working with uh Beynon Sports uh has made a proposal to us. Um we would be moving from a BSS 1000 system to a BSS 300 system.

Um the difference there is that uh we keep the edges open and it's a permeable um bottom layer which would allow uh vapor to escape. Um by moving to the BSS 300 uh Beynon Sports uh is also including um a couple things for us. Um they're uh going to give us a the Michigan State font which um is a proprietary font that um we have on the uh turf for the football field. So, uh we're thankful for that. They have also uh are going to uh put the Hobart texture on top of the track which um will extend the life of the track and extend the life of the lines. Um they're going to extend our warranty to 15 years. The original warranty is 10 years. Uh but do want to clarify for people that

we have a 50-year warranty um on the concrete portion of the track. It's post-tension concrete track. Um so, the 15-year warranty or warranty just applies to the coating um on the top of that. So, uh we're thankful for that. Um they also have agreed to come back and repair high stress areas such as the long jump runway takeoff area, pole vault takeoff takeoff area, high jump takeoff area, and starting line for the 100-m dash. Um they've also agreed to come back within that 15 years and restripe the track uh for free for us, which um we're also thankful for. Um and so, knowing all of that, both our architect and our construction manager um recommend that we um approve or consider this proposal that we might be making to the board. So, you The motion

is actually uh it's a change order from TMP. And so, you would be um uh making a motion to consider um the Jake Field change order number 40. All right. Motion to approve change order number 40. I will second. Okay. Motion by Mrs. Thomas, second by Mr. Louie. Any more questions for Mr. Funston? Jeff? >> Mr. Poulos, I forget anything? No. No. No other questions. Just thanks for all the time that you've spent educating us on track surfaces. I now know so much about them and appreciate all the effort that my husband put into this. Yeah, I appreciate that. >> You're making the right choice for our kids. So, we're being good for our community. Well, we appreciate you guys um taking the time to bring yourselves come back and you know, without another meeting

at 20 and so, pulling this off today, well, that's helped us with the planning, so. I will second. Okay. All those in favor of the motion will say aye. Aye. Motion is carried. Anything else? That okay? Okay. Motion to return um 5:05 Parent meeting motion. I didn't say that. Yeah, for journey 5:05. Okay. Awesome. All right. Can I just ask
