has been phenomenal. Like the these guys have true asset to our school and we have a lot of fun doing it. It's been fantastic. >> Who's got the concession stand in business? Is that how does that work? Like where do you sell your concessions at? >> Um so um I right now I'm doing it at um the Crawford Hill card show for fairgrounds. So um I've been doing that. >> I go to that all the time. I usually do that every month. >> Does anybody know anything about serve safe and how important following those regulations are? Keeping your hair back, washing your hand. >> So, um I was like, what's your favorite thing to cook and sell there at concessions? Um this month uh or next month uh my next event I am starting to

sell um popcorn. I got a popcorn machine. So that'll be a new item for me. And um I also started doing hot dogs as well. So and then hopefully that'll just keep growing. >> So just make sure you do the foil the long way because they want a cheese dog and and they cheese on it. >> He has a very specific and if you don't wrap it that way, >> I like attention to detail. Good skills. >> How about money? Now, have you guys told Mrs. Webster line of sight money? You know, you don't want anybody that opportunity to say, "I give you a 20 and they only gave you a 10." So, >> don't ever let it out of line of sight before you make your change. And if you can learn with your

math skills to count cash back >> to your guest, that's the best safeguarding your cash draw. >> Y >> So use those because then when you get older, I work at Cracker Barrel and let me tell you, I see 15, 16, 17 year olds that can't make change. So, learn these skills >> and then come apply and let me know when you're ready to and I'll put a good word in for you. >> Let's give Mrs. Webster and these kids a BIG >> Great job, guys. >> Thank you. >> I was like, these guys are great. I'm like, okay, Jody, just give me their names. >> Mr. Rock, I think you're up. >> Indeed. Thank you. Um, I'd like to um ask the board's approval to void the house out checks and or reissue checks

from the previous two years in accordance with Indiana Code 511 5-2. >> Mr. President, I I move to approve agenda item 611 to avoid outstanding checks and or reissue checks from the previous two years according to IC511.5-2 as presented. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion hearing? None. All those in favor to approve agenda item 6.1 signify by saying I. >> I. Those oppos same. Motion carries. >> Uh, next up is I'm going to ask the board to approve the revised classified staff pay scale for 2526 as presented. Really, the only change that I'm making is the director of transportation and our mechanics position will now be non-exempt and eligible for overtime. Mr. President, I move to approve agenda item 6.2 to approve the revised classified staff pay scale for the 2025

and 2026 year as presented. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? >> So, is there any particular reason why they weren't non-exemployed? So thankfully for 20 years we had Kevin Whitaker and at that time Jim and him came to a conclusion of what they needed and it didn't really extend itself ever really needing over time but um as rates and change and people change I've kind of had to adapt certain different deals to make it worthwhile for someone to come out. So um it's new for us but our current grounds and maintenance folks they are eligible for overtime too. So I was trying to lump them in the same category. The big reason behind this too is state board of accounts anytime they come in audit they ask for this document. So

there's a reason and a policy that follows all the pay schedules. So >> questions been called. All those in favor to approve agenda item 6.2 signify by saying I. >> I. Those opposed same. >> Motion carries. Mr. Right. We'd like to ask the board to approve the quote from Dan Broy Construction for the Pleasant Hill concrete replacement at the main entrance in the amount of $39,160. Mr. President, I move to approve agenda item 6.3 for the Pleasant Hill concrete replacement at the main entrance in the amount of $39,160 from Dan Grody Construction as presented. Second. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? We're going to have a similar problem with the other two. Pleasant Pleasant Hills the worst by a far margin. There's just a lot of settling cracks there for some reason and

it's actually caused some trip hazards. So when you go there now, you see a lot of yellow paint where he's come out and helped us to help it make it mark worthy so people see it before they step on it. So sorry. so used to running that side of the building. Back in my Pleasant Hill days, I had maybe some recordings of some people that fell. >> Question been called. All those in favor to approve agenda item 6.3 as presented, signify by saying I. >> I. Those post saying, >> motion carries. We'd also like to ask the board to approve the high school pool renovations from core construction in the amount of $65,990. >> Mr. President, I'd like to make a a motion to approve agenda item 6.4 to approve high school pool renovations from

core construction in the amount of at $5,990 as presented. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? >> So I in looking at the bid that's going to fix all of those tiles that are >> Yes and no. >> Moving. >> The the quote doesn't include what's below the water because they could not do a fair assessment with the pool full of water. So once he gets it drained and does the cleaning and takes care of the grout, then he's going to go through and identify what needs to be done with the missing tiles or the tiles that are cracked and he'll take care of that separately. >> But this has nothing to do with the pool deck. >> It has to do with the drains that are up on the in the gutter. >>

Drains and gutters, but not >> the deck. All that will stay the same. >> Yes. >> And then how long has it been? Do you know? Anybody know? He said that he shows pictures. It's been about 20 years since he's been out here to do this. And he was the one that did it the last time for us. So >> yeah, I unfortunately I'm that old. So I can remember that how crazy it was. >> I think to just try to fix everything. >> I think he done it one time even before that as well. So >> okay, >> there's a history. Question been called. All those in favor to approve agenda item 6.4 signify by saying I. Those oppos same. >> Motion carries. >> And finally, we'd like to ask the board to approve

the high school softball scoreboard from NECO in the amount of $27,92. Please. Mr. President, I move to approve agenda item 6.5 to approve the high school softball school board in the amount of 27,92 that's presented. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? >> So, this is just had to replace what we've got there now. >> Right. Continuing the process we started last year out on the soccer fields just working our way through. Um, was maybe misunderstanding, but didn't we have sponsorships on some of those in the past that kind of drove that price down on the scoreboard? Is that still going to be done on this or so? No sponsorships yet on that scoreboard. Um, we just haven't got to that piece yet. What we're also doing is this does not include

installation. Um, we're going to go it's an extra $15,000 to have them installed. Also, I'm working with two different outfits that we use to help us with the soccer and starting there. This is also part of our capital projects plan that the three-year plan each year we have a new scoreboard that's going to be posted. So, we got to get it up and see what the um space is for future advertisement, but we just haven't got to that space yet. >> Question. Question has been called. All those in favor to approve agenda item 6.5 as presented signify by saying I. I those post same. Motion carries. Anything else from um ju one small thing just for construction sake. So March 9th is when they're going to start demoing the high school basketball floor. Um the

goal is to get them in here as soon as possible so that it's the floor the new floor is laid back down before graduation. Um they're promising us that it's going to happen. So March 9th, you're going to probably start seeing a lot of dust come out of that place and that 50-y old floor is going to come apart. So optimistic. We'll see if they can hold true to the word. I'm pretty confident they can. So I've asked I've been asked, are we selling any of the old floor? We haven't put much time and effort into that because I don't think the time and effort will be worth any of the money because the floor is so thin that I don't even know really what the final product's going to look like to even try

to sell. So, in some of the sections and the way they're going to take it up isn't going to present itself. It'd be more time and effort for them to try to preserve sections to sell rather than getting in there quickly and taking it out. >> Yeah. I just had some >> Yeah, >> long ago that said, "Are you guys selling any of the floor?" I had the same question. >> There's two sections that I >> tell you what, Bob. You donate enough money, we'll make it happen. >> I mean, it was that bad. >> I like the spot where Corky was when he beat Cro on the section. >> Hey, that's fine. I mean, let's put a price on it. >> I figured 10 bucks. I don't know if that's going to be on

that. >> Um, we'll just start with the middle school. Well, first off, blue crew, thank you for being here. And Kimberly, thank you. Welld deserved. Everything that was said 100%. Um, we're wrapping up round two of winter sports with the last round of island checkpoints on the horizon and in full-blown survival mode the spring break. So, um, not a lot of school events between now and then. Just trying, everybody's just trying to make it through. >> Pi day. >> Oh, Pi Day. Sorry. We have Pi Day coming up. >> Pi Day is coming up. There we go. >> Mrs. Z, have you contacted Sherry's mom. >> Yes. >> So, I was planning to bring her, but she said she was waiting to hear from me. >> Oh, well, okay. I'll read I'll read from that.

>> Old news. She probably done it since I remembered to ask. >> Mr. Guthrie. >> I wish we could say the same. We've got a lot. >> Um, first off, shout out to our girls swim state qualifiers. Dusty Robinson, Kylie Sanki, Kate Mera, Ava Kilgore, and Anna Kane. It's really cool to get to say that many names in front of you all. It's awesome. >> Um, not to be outdone, he had a new school record broken uh by Mr. Sam Woolwine for the 11th dive uh school. Was that even on the radar to be broken? >> Uh, his radar. >> His radar. Okay. Like he he did a heck of a job. That was awesome. Um, smooth homecoming dance last Saturday. It's always better when it's smooth. Uh band winter concert is 7:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Uh we have our welding competition at the high school in the morning on the 26th of this week. And then if you really want to have some more fun, come to the choir dinner theater on Thursday night at 6:30 during that time. SAT days March 3rd, March 5th is the high school blood drive. March 9th is the Charger Showdown, students versus staff. Try and not get injured. On March 12th, musical preview for staff. Um, and then March 13th, March 15th is the high school musical for the public. We are Mama Meian at this year. And then on March 16th, I will be skipping the board meeting for the high school academic banquet at 6 p.m. I think that's it all. >> Thank you, Mrs. Gart. >> Wow. I don't have that many I don't have

that many things, but we do have a first grade music sharing night is tomorrow evening. All three elementaryaries are doing our prek kindergarten open house this week. Um different days this week. Um I read three, two, four, five. I don't know however many >> six >> we're going to be doing. I read testing. Um >> I think that's it. >> I'm sure there's other things. >> Mrs. Mosley. Well, did we we did >> we crossed off most of mine. Um I do want to give a shout out to our student leadership team. Uh they sold candygrams last week and raised over $800 to go towards kids of kids hunger. So we'll be packing those meals up later this spring. So that's always fun and the kids are able to raise money to put to a

important purpose. So, we have that. And yeah, if you know anybody who has kindergarten age children come that need to come next year or even those little preschoolers, um they're welcome to come to any of our three buildings this week from 6:00 to 7, what is it? Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, just depending where they want to go. Um and it's not a commitment just to learn about our great programs and so forth. So, I know it's the need in our community. >> Thank you, Mrs. McCoy. >> Yeah, ditto what the other two have. Um, we also wrapped up high ability testing in the month of February. So, we'll be working to get those students identified um later on and we've got WEDA testing all wrapped up from January, February. Um, we want to

say thank you to our PTO. They did our spring fling last week and we had a great turnout. And um we also want to invite people to there's going to be some uh promos coming out, but we are doing a Moe's food truck is coming to Sugar Creek next Tuesday and you can pre-order a meal for four to six people for $40 and for every one we sell, $9 comes back to the Sugar Creek PTO. So you literally just have to drive through the circle and drive up to the truck and they will give you your order. So, we're going to get that promo out if anybody's interested in taking advantage of that. So, you don't have to cook for a night and it benefits the PTO. So, >> think they would trade for some

high school flooring. Good question. >> Uh, Mrs. Rogers, anything from the NMTA? >> Uh, no, nothing. >> Very good. Uh, Mr. Bandry. >> Um, welcome to Mrs. Walters. >> Congratulations. Um, look forward to having you on board and part of the team. Uh, Kinley, welcome to you also. Nice to have you on our board this evening. Uh, congratulations to all of our art winners. Um, band uniforms. Um, nice, Mr. Simpson. Bless more I could ask. How how old were the other uniforms? Do you know? >> Decades. >> 20 years. >> Yeah, >> we've replaced them since I've been here. I know that. So, um yeah. So, we paid half. You the >> cost for that this evening and the bambooers have worked really hard to raise those funds. So, >> better than the last time.

>> We had to put a little last time that we didn't anticipate, but yeah. Nice. And then middle school blue crew. Great job. >> Thank you. >> A lot of great skills. Teresa's getting her in. >> And then congratulations to the girls swim team and in her diaper. So great job to all of them. That's all I have. >> Mad at >> um I will be talking to Mrs. Webster to recruit you all for um Bob and we have fun at the high school, but skilled labor is price session. So work on your skills all summer on customer service and counting cash and just being aware. Um Kimley, welcome. Have you ever been on the blue crew ever? Oh, I see. You could, you know, you can come to the high school. We'll we'll recruit

you. You know, we don't have the blue crew, but we'll recruit you. Mrs. Walters, welcome. Um, I think you will find that uh you're going to be working with a lot of great people and I'm sure you guys will do amazing. I wanted to ask about the flag group. There is a new flag group that did something last week. Yeah, I can't give you a lot of details about that. Um, >> do they have uniforms also or is that something different? >> I don't believe they do. >> Okay. >> Um, but it is new and I I I don't have a lot of information about it, but happy to give you an update. >> Okay. Yeah. I'm just I think it's wonderful that we're increasing that. >> I'm an old band person from many years

ago. So, um, and I think we all should take art classes, you know, for adults where these guys can teach us. So, thank you. Um, and I hope all of you have, let's see, we'll No, we'll be back before spring break. So, I was going to say have a great break, but we'll be here one more time. So, that's all I >> Mr. Zachary. >> Yeah. Uh, Kenley, welcome to the board for tonight. There was uh there was a lot of positive notes your way. So that that's impressive. I I don't know that I've heard that many at one time. So congratulations on that. Um welcome Mrs. Walters. Look forward to working with you here soon. Uh congratulations blue crew. That was a great presentation and it's great to have young leaders that want to

step up and and do uh do big things for the school. So like that. And uh yeah, a lot of congratulations to a lot of people out there. So anyway, thank you. >> Thank you. Uh Mrs. Walters, welcome. And your husband, welcome. I won't leave you hanging. >> Uh glad to have you here. Yeah, I won't hold the stop. Uh Kenley, welcome. Like Jared said, that was a lot of great compliments and keep up the good work. Only hear good things about you. uh artist. Uh thank you to all the artists that presented their artwork. That's fantastic. Uh congrats to the swimmers that are state qualifies and Sam Wine. That's outstanding for him, too. Keep up the good work for him. Um and then the blue crew. I can say firsthand I've seen how hard

you all work. You guys do an exceptional job. So keep it up and thank you for organizing all that as well. I would duplicate everything since I'm good. >> And I think the only thing that I would like to add would be for uh Mrs. Webster. I think a lot of things that happen at middle school, she has a hand in. So I think we should give HER and on that I would entertain a motion to adjourn. >> Thank you.
