and alert at 6 o' Mrs. Please lead us today to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. >> And next is an action item to approve our agenda. I move to approve the agenda for today's meeting. >> I'll second it. [Music] >> Yes. Mas. >> Yes. >> Mr. McG. >> Yes. And next is to approve the minutes from our August 12th meeting. I move to approve the minutes for the August 12th meeting. I'll second it. >> Mrs. Yes. M. >> Yes. Mrs. Mr. McG. >> And with that, we'll segue right into the superintendent's report. M. Rico, you're on. [Music] >> Okay. Welcome parents, students, board members, President Mr. Oscar, thank you for being here and our

staff members as well. Um, as you may know, our theme for the year is back to the future, right? So, we've done a couple of themes based on our theme and we're just working towards celebrating our successes and working towards the continued success of the future. >> Like to again welcome our newly appointed governing board member, Miss Lewis. and um she was actually sworn in at the Puma County Superintendent um office a few weeks ago and there's a picture of her there. So we wanted to um again make it an official welcoming here at Continental. Reminder, our mission and our students have um reviewed this along with their teachers in the classrooms on our mission statement that Continental School District will provide a community environment in which all individuals are challenged to achieve excellence in

academics, character, and life skills. And we reviewed this with our students um our student leadership lighthouse team in talking about the word all individuals. It doesn't mean some, it doesn't mean few. It doesn't mean one or two. It means all of our students and that are challenged to achieve excellence in academics, character, and life skills. So all year long, we'll talk about all the things that we do are driven by our mission statement. our vision, building for the future, learning, cooperating, and caring. And when we were at the law conference this past uh last week, they asked if anybody knew what their vision statement was, if it could be recited, if anybody memorized it. And boys and girls, I knew it. And the speaker was kind of shocked, right, that schools have these missions and

visions. And it's almost like if we don't practice that those mantras in our head and if our vision isn't in our mind all day long, it's very hard to operate based on our vision. So remember, we're building for the future, learning, cooperating, and caring always. AVID conference. So we are a habit school. AVID is advancement via individual determination and truly it's developing school climate and culture in working together to develop college and career career readiness in all of our students. And um when you see the AVID mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. So you can see how our mission statement really aligns with the AVID mission statement overall. And we had a conference a couple weekends ago. It was

a Friday and Saturday. So I'd like to thank our team. The one missilla is missing from our team, but it was a really good intense Friday and Saturday to really review AVID strategies and implementation at our school. So teachers and staff are constantly giving up their weekends um to not only learn but to do things for our school as well. Welcome parent advisory. Can I have any of our parent advisory parents please stand up? This was your first meeting of the year to come and see a board meeting. So let's give our parent advisory parents a great day. So you do have folders there. The parent advisory parents have information on leader and me. We are reading um together the seven habits of highly effective families. So if you don't have your book, Miss Jenner

will get it for you before you leave today. Um, we also do review our integrated action plan that has our reading and math goals and our school goals that we will be reviewing at our next meeting as well. So, super excited. We have some continuing parents and some new parents that are joining us and it really is a time for you are the eyes and ears of the school to help us identify areas that we may be missing and areas that need improvement. So, thank you for your time and willingness to be part of advisory. With that, we have a student leadership lighthouse team. Do I have any student leadership lighthouse team students here in the room? Stand up, please. Yes. Thank you for being here as well. So, I'm not going to put you

on the spot and make you talk about what we talk about, but I know you could do it if I asked you. Um, we met with our teams and we had third through eighth graders and we had students apply that wanted to participate and some students that have been um participating since third grade that are now seventh and eighth graders. Um, but these students serve as leaders to positively impact our school environment by spreading kindness and leading by example. So, we talk about what it means to be a leader. We're working together on the leader and me habits. So, parents who are part of parent advisory um will have common language with the kids and what we're talking about during the school day with leader and me. Our middle school students are going to participate

in a book study of the seven habits of highly effective teams and um and we have a little workbook that will go along with it. So I'll have a Google classroom where I'll be able to communicate with the students as well. We're working towards having them become student ambassadors. That means that when we have visitors in the school, we'll be able to call them and they will be able to come and do tours for the school, help during career day and different events that we have to serve as student leader ambassadors in our school. So, a lot of exciting things um starting this school year. um our ASB lake a law conference we attended last Thursday and Friday like I mentioned lots of topics and you can I'm not going to read all the topics

but truly the law conference goes over there's a lot of attorneys there who talk about school law and policies that superintendent and governing boards are um to operate with. So um the better I am at knowing the laws and the policies and informing the board, the less problems we all have. Um, one of my favorite sessions is Stump the Attorney and people are asking questions and I get pretty excited because I usually know most of the answers and they should have gone into the whole law. Um, but it is a fun conference. So, thank you Miss Lewis and I shared some of the PowerPoint presentations with the rest of the board meeting board members and during our retreat we'll be able to review some of the important policies that we looked at. One of the

sessions was effective uses of social media to tell our story and um talking about if we don't share the good things that we're doing and we don't share our story, somebody else who's not part of our climate or culture or parents might make up their own version of our story. So, we really work really hard to get the word out there through PTC. And if you haven't seen our district Facebook page, we do have one. So, Miss Jenna will click on and kind of show you. She along with Mr. Ferguson are the ones that manage um the district Facebook page. [Music] So, if you're not following, please go and like us and follow. We do post updates on different things that are happening on campus, whether it be picture days coming up, reminder, this is

coming up. Um, we also post the monthly um, school lunches and breakfast menus. Um, right now we have the Washington DC trip deadline coming up for our eighth graders. So, we're reminding you about that. So, just if you're on social media, it's definitely a good one to go so you get those constant reminders. Let's take that. We were busy parents and a lot of times we forget, but that's a good resource to go and get see what's going on in the school so you don't miss out. >> Thank you for doing that. They are PTC, amazing PTC parents. I don't know if we have any of the officers in the room today. Um, but they did a underground spirit week. So, you could see some of the pictures. Um, it was a lot of fun.

We kept the students guessing. Boys and girls, did you like the underground spirit week? Did you think that the teachers and staff were losing their minds? Especially on Friday. What did What happened on Friday? >> Yeah, it was the Christmas theme, right? The kids the kids were saying, "It's not Christmas. What's happening?" So, that was a lot of fun and it was a good idea and I think everybody enjoyed themselves. Um, upcoming event, Penny Wars are coming. So, boys and girls, get ready to save your pennies and bring them into school. Okay. To help our PTC open house was a success. We are um leading up to student conferences as well, parent student conferences. So we are going to have our kids presenting their student led conferences to you with their school goals, with their

assessment data. So please make sure that you don't leave your students at home um for parent conferences because I know sometimes parents come alone, but we really do want the kids to be able to speak to their parents about what they're learning. grant submissions and donations. We um like I reported last month, we supported our four um mini grants with $500 each for field trips and some special projects. We submitted our white elephant grant submission. Um I submitted our well, we're working on our free port site investment grant that's due November 10th. Um I mentioned last time that we did get a call from a community member who saw Mrs. and I on the news talking about back to school and our greenhouse efforts and a lady just called us and she said, "My friend

left some money um when she passed and she wanted me to use it for a school or for a good cause and she saw us on the news and said, "I think this is a great place to donate." I think her name was Emma Emma's money. So, she came to school and brought us a $10,000 check for the greenhouse. So, we're just super excited and just you never know, right? Who's going to see us, who's going to hear us, and who's going to want to work with us. Burlington, I hope you saw on the Green Valley News that Burlington also gave us $5,000 for our teams to use. So, that'll be extra money for grade level teams to use. And again, we did receive confirmation that Great Valley Rotary is providing $6,000 for us for

our greenhouse efforts. So, we're having a big meeting on September 19th uh with all of the stakeholders to help us bring our greenhouse to life. So, if anybody else is interested, please let us know so we can get you on the list to come meet with us and there'll be a lot of work to do for that. Um we did our um state assessment student celebration. Uh again, congratulations to all of our students who earned recognition for their outstanding performance in the ASA stain assessment. Truly Colts rock. We had a lot of gift cards that were donated by some of our um local vendors, friends, Rotary, some parents brought us gift cards. Some staff members um also provided gift cards. We gave a lot of pulp bugs, backpacks. So, it was a good celebration for

the students. So, thank you again, boys and girls, for all of your hard work. The additional parking project, I don't know if anybody noticed that there the property to the west of us is cleared. So, a huge thank you to Mr. Nathan for coordinating and working on the additional parking project. As you all know, additional parking is a must for us. There's always cars all the way down White House Canyon. It gets dark. It's dangerous at night. So, this is something we've been talking about for a while. So, I want to thank all of those who volunteered their day last Saturday. Like I mentioned, staff and teachers and volunteers are frequently giving up their Saturdays to help make our school a better place to be. Safety is our priority and um our staff works around

the clock. We had the leans, the Curtis's, the web's um Mr. Johnson and the McGibbons. Um and Mr. Andrew McGibbon. You can see him on the tractor there in the back and it's just truly a whole team effort. So we will have an estimated 100 parking spaces coming soon. Okay. So thank you to our volunteers. Our garden project continues. So thank you Mrs. Nathan for taking the lead in this project starting last year summer school uh beginning of the school year. So, we want items for you to collect. How can you help? We need any and all plastic tops or lids of all colors and sizes. And you can see a sample mural there on the right that is made with just tops, plastic tops to your laundry, to your milk, to whatever tops you

find. Start to save them. Um, and we also have on the left in the far left in the back you'll see the wall and there's some samples of the pots and pans and the different things um that are kind of noise makers, music makers for students that will be out there. So, if you have any connections, go to any yard sales, pick up some stuff for the center world for us. Thank you. Again, the future's not written yet. So, we will make it a good one and we'll continue to work very hard together to serve all of you. Thank you so much. >> Thank you. That we have our admin report. Hello everybody. Good to see you. I This presentation was going to be done by myself and Mrs. Romanali, but she's not able to

be here this evening. So, I'm going to do my very best to to do her portion of the presentation. So, bear with me. Okay. So, this is about our gifted education program here at Continental Elementary School. We currently have 37 students who based off of the state standards qualify. They have to when they are tested using the cognitive abilities test, they're tested in a verbal, non-verbal, and quantitative testing markers. And in third grade, we have seven qualified students testing at the 97th percentile. six fourth graders, nine fifth, eight sixth grade, five seventh grade, and currently two eighth grade. When we started this program about five years ago, we had more students that are not just in the ninth percentile. So, we started with students that also fell around the seventh and ethly achieving students, which

are also a part of the program. Um, when it comes to funding, the state only funds for those that fall into the 97th percentile might stay in that. Please make sure that you look. Um, we are going to be updating our district calendar, but we'll also be putting dates out there for all of you as well, so you know when we do gifted testing in the fall, the winter, and the spring. You can refer refer your own child. Teachers make referrals as well and students can advocate for themselves and refer themselves as well. So keep that all in mind and we'll make sure to give you reminders on that. So we'll let you know a little bit more about our gifted program. Currently our elementary gifted ed program for second through fifth grade is run

by Mrs. Romani. Those who qualify in quantitative and non-verbal have additional math supports as well that they are pulled out by our math coach Mrs. Kle and it extends their mathematical thinking, their reasoning and their cognitive processes. All students who qualify in any category attend a steam class once a week. So engineering, science, technology, math and so on. For this school year of 202526, an additional language arts support class will be introduced to extend language arts abilities once a week for students qualified in the verbal area of the cognitive testing. So, the whole point is to make sure, you know, we don't forget about our highly achieving students, those that need accelerated learning, whether they're in the night, stay night or not. We look at all of the data, like we're doing district testing. We

look at all of that data and we want to make sure that we are reaching all of our students. so that they're challenged as well. All students who scored in one of the categories of verbal, quantitative, or or non-verbal at the eighth day nine are invited to participate in any of the above pull outs and provisional bases. Middle school gifted education grades 6 through 8. Students who qualify for gifted services in middle school are placed in higher level coursework in mathematics and language arts. Steam, music, and art classes are available as a six-hour elective. And for this school year, an additional literature class has been a group is currently proposed to offer extensions to gifted to our gifted learners. Independent projects are currently being proposed to offer extensions to those gifted learners as well. Flandro

Planetarium. This year the middle schoolers will in the gifted program are going to be are going to be attending the philandro mineral resource discovery FL not flan flusion classroom in November. I do like flan but it's the flan fusion. Fourth and fifth grade students in math enrichment program and the gifted program will attend the marine discovery programs in October. And all funding for these two field trips will be acroved through grants that we are writing through the gifted education department. Read Park Zoo. Third grade students in math enrichment andor gifted program will be invited to attend the zoo's zap program where students will learn about animal food and nutrition and this will take place in October. All funding also for this trip is accured through grants. Last year, some of the things that we did

for second through fifth, they went those that were in the program, second through fifth grade students went behind the scenes at the zoo to look at at the medical unit unit. They learned a lot. They were given a tour of that and they got to meet animal ambassadors as well. After exploring the zoo, they got to eat lunch and they played on the play structures outside. And for the middle schoolers, it was not on there, but they got to go. Those that were in the program went to Carter Caverns. This year's steam classes for this year, they're building simple machines currently and they've experimented with electricity and using snap circuits. Students will be exploring flight for factors which allow flight, weight, lift, thrust, and drag. Students will be making projects learning about aerodynamics in grades

three through five. And we have developed a spoken sequence for our gifted education program that will be submitted to Arizona Department of Education. And our spoken sequence will be also posted on our website and available for all of you all to see. These are certain deadlines and criterias we have to meet for our program. So the areas I'll read through the areas we have to do review and compliance program design for our program and then how do we identify the students that are in the program. So for example the first one routine screenings that are state approved which is a cognitive testing that we utilize district testing calendar with multiple testing windows which will be updated and shared with all of you and testing schedules and student rosters are the evidence that we collect and

are providing to our district and to the state. And so it just continues on with identification, curriculum, the curriculum that we utilize, instruction, social development, profess professional development of our teachers and parent involvement as well, which is parents will be given the opportunity for testing, advanced notice, option to test out. So if you refer your child or your child is referred, you will get a letter before they at least a week in advance that your child was referred and they will be tested. There's many online free portals that you can also have your child go to um that offer really good practice because it's a different type of test than they've ever really seen. So, even if your child does test, if they test, let's say, in the eighth, stay n or the seventh, they

can test again in a few months and they can go, you could there's booklets you can order. There's free online uh resources that if they look at it, they'll be able to practice a little more because there's a lot of stuff that has to do with the non-verbal, verbal, and cognitive that it's not something they'd see on district tests or classroom tests. We also have community involvement, program assessment, how we how we assess if the program is um successful, modifications that we need to make, and then the budget. And as you see, uh unfortunately, the state of Arizona for Arizona Department of Education, it doesn't fund much at all for gifted education. So, that helps a lot for us grant um going out for grants and we will make it happen and we thank you

for your support. If you ever have any questions about gifted ed or you need to go over the scoping sequence and would like to discuss further or the referral process and need help with any of that, please never um hesitate to reach out to myself or Mrs. Romanelli. We'd be happy to help and we appreciate all of your support with this program. >> Well, thank you. So, with that, we do need to um approve the um scope and sequence of the gifted education program so that I'll make a motion to approve the gifted program. >> Mer. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Amar. >> Yes. M. >> Yes. >> Mr. Mcr. >> Yes. >> So, we just want to we appreciate um just a couple organizations. um rangers that were just here I think are outside but

they provided a bunch of uh McDonald's gift cards and then the the lotteryies um provided some um >> crafts and arts arts and crafts supplies. So thank you to all of them and with that it is your guys turn. >> Okay, let's have all of our students >> all of our months if you can come up here >> and bring your piece of paper. Congratulations, Kai, the middle school team. If we could have all our Colts please return for a picture. And congratulations to all of you for the amazing children you're raising and all that you do. And then if the students will remain up here while we give a staff

It's called the Golden Horseshoe Award, and it's for our staff members nominated by staff each month. And the first award for one of our teachers is for this sto, but we will make sure she gets her award. She wasn't able to be here. They're getting the volleyball team back to campus and back to their home. But if we could call for the next award, Amy Velasquez. We have a program. special read what amsquez's colleagues write. Amy has been an amazing support this school year. She has been learning to adapt to stressful situations daily and is learning so much.

Amy is working really hard to adapt to the needs of students she serves. She has a positive get it done attitude and is willing to go the extra mile. Amy is such a positive person. When she is in our pod, you can feel her positivity and the heart she has for her students and for all staff. She goes out of her way to help. She goes out of her way to listen and just to make someone laugh if it's needed. It's a true blessing to work with Amy. Thank you, Amy, for all that you do. On behalf of all of us here at Continental, we

are very grateful for you, for your work, for your service, and for that the love and passion that you have for our students and for our staff and for our special education department. Rules with the bunches and just is easy. And sometimes our jobs can be hard and it's easy to get down and she doesn't. And she just keeps getting back up and she is there for the kids. Um probably more than I've seen most educators. And um not only that, she does that while having to hear my analogies about training horses and animals. And she she just really really cares about the children that she's been assigned to, which is why her parents have seen that. and the love and compassion that she has for those kiddos. And I couldn't imagine this year without

you and the support that you brought to those kiddos when they're scared, when they're nervous, and it's the first day of school and they don't understand their environment and you just reach down and bring that love and compassion. They feel like they're at home. So, thank you for what you do for our kids. Are you ready? One, two, three. Cheese. Thank you. Well, thank you. Um, parents and uh students, you're welcome to stay or you're must be hurt if you guys decide to make the church come on out. So, we'll take a couple break. See you guys. I see [Music] one in This is a seat. [Music] Yeah. Oh, I'm sure Is [Music] it? [Music] Thank you. relax. And then the other came back. Yeah. Yeah, there you go. [Music] Not like That's a very

good Are you ready? They're [Applause] all [Music] This is not All right, we'll get back in. So, we're moving to the consent agenda. For those of you that haven't memorized the U, what that is. It's a handful of motions all in one. Um ranging from approving substitute rosters, some new hires, um club and sports sponsors, ratification of vouchers, all with uh with one vote and then we'll keep moving from there. Motion to approve the consent agenda. >> I'll make a motion for the consent agenda. to >> I'll second. >> Mrs. Lever, >> yes. >> Mrs. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Lewis. >> Yes. >> Mr. McKibben. >> Yes. >> Mr. >> Yes. Thank you. And we'll move to the report items. Mr. Greg, >> the district financial report. >> So, there's really no changes to the

district finance report. We still haven't rolled over the previous year. report that's provided for you. It doesn't show you the cash balances or anything else that's rolled that are still in the previous fiscal year. Um once we get to the u the budget portion of the of the agenda, I'll have a lot more to say, but as of right now, there really is no no changes within the district report. And when do you think that'll get up to you? >> So the AFR, the annual financial report just came out recently. We still have completion reports to do on our federal and state grants. So we're hoping by next month the date on the AFR Ober completion reports are due September >> and now we're just waiting to get um so this is a motion item

to approve the district financial report. to approve. >> Second, >> Mrs. Lever. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mrs. Lewis. >> Yes. >> Mr. McGib. >> Yes. >> Mr. >> Yes. And with that, we are printing a a corrected version of new business. It says pretty much the same thing, but there a couple bullet items out of order. >> Is that right? >> Yes. I'm going to pull it up and it should be correct on the screen. >> So just for the audience purposes, we ASBA moved from board docs to diligent which is the new platform. So that's where they've migrated stuff. So it looks different than what we're used to and the items are different. So just bear with us. We'll have it all together by this. >> So it's going to be we're printing them,

but it's correct on your screen. >> Okay. >> So the first thing is we um made a slight revision to this year's calendar. Really is just to mark the testing days for the 15 which is a motion. So I move to approve the 202526 revised district calendar >> yes Mrs. >> Yes. >> Mr. McIn. >> Yes. >> Mr. Austro. >> Yes. [Music] >> And item B is to approve the revised classified wage schedule. Good. >> That's a motion item as well. I'll move to approve the revised classified way. Second, >> Miss Lever. >> Yes. Made. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Lewis. >> Yes. >> Mr. Bean. >> Yes. >> Mr. Ashley. >> Yes. Thank you. And bus drivers getting a pay raise to approve that. Second, >> Miss Lever. >> Yes. >> Mr. >> Yes. >>

Miss Lew. >> Yes. >> Mr. Big. >> Yes. >> Mr. Ash. >> Yes. >> And what you've all been waiting for is the first reading of about 20 different policies. So, settle on in. >> So, here's the stack. all the policies and like I said ASBA is moving over to diligent platform and the trust has a very easy to read policy bridge with less policies so ASBA is trying to model that so in these policy reision revisions there's 15 policies that are going to be deleted that were redundant or that they could be incorporated into a new policy and a lot of the topics are um a lot of things on the finance side of the house that Mr. Schubert and I um will review and make sure that we're following policy which we are

really good at it. So there's a few new policies that we'll review. So please review the policies and next board meeting will be for approval. And just so the process once the board approves them then Miss Jenna submits it to ASBA and then they get up updated into our board policies that you can see when you go to the district website. Okay. So it's just a first read for everyone to peruse. >> Thank you. Next is to um approve a an additional part-time bus monitor. [Music] >> Follow the follow the screen. >> Okay. I'll make a motion to approve the parttime bus. Sorry. >> I'm sorry. First, >> Miss Lieber. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Mr. M. Lewis. >> Yes. >> Mr. Ashley. >> Yes. Next is a budget revision um of 117,000 and change. I

believe Mr. Schubert might give us some insight to this before we keep going. >> Okay. So, when we did the adopted budget, remember I stated that there was still some one-time funding that we were waiting on coming in from the state. And as it as it would be, you know, a couple days after our board meeting, those figures, um, we are getting a state aid supplement of $39,000. We are getting a district additional assistance supplement of $9,354. and we are getting an increase to the free reduced lunch rate. Um it's a a way supplement for $5,792. We're also up to since we are have closed the previous year, we're also able to update and give an accurate figure as to what our carryover for the year would be. Um, so we were able to get

all that within the budget and what you have now before you is is where we're at. So, we're going to have a budget of our M budget will be 6,356,324 and the funds from those carryovers for for the onetime funding we put into our carry forward amount. Um, does not mean that we can't move it out of carry forward and put it someplace where it is needed. Um, but that's that's where that's where every penny of that funding went into the car for >> Greg. The carry form was where we were kind of short where the auditors went. >> So that's where it was short with with the um the auditor general this was the fiscal basically our own our own personal fiscal cliff. >> Is this what you were expecting? I mean, are you

pleased with it or >> It's We're a small district. The amount of funding that they had allotted to this, I knew we weren't going to get much. I'm actually surprised, honestly, that we got as much as we did. Well, but also the onetime funding does help us um to be able to provide the races and transportation that we need to have to stay competitive with our neighboring districts and to transport our our students. So, without these additional funds, it would have been very difficult. >> Yes. And just remember though that it is one time funding. is not there next year. >> So then how how >> do we maintain >> with the increases that we will get? So there's it's two parts. So next year with the bus driver raises this this year we're going

to take the um currently we have parapros running the routes. We're going to take them off the routes and by doing that that saves us about $28,000 worth of course just by taking them off. So, does that mean you're going to be just down to the bus driver? >> So, it would just be the bus drivers. >> Wasn't that a bonus for our hiring? >> What? >> It was a bonus, but we really can't have it both ways. >> So, it when we were closer in salaries to districts around us, it was a plus. But when we became a $3 deficit to a closest districts, three to four dollars, it's no longer a benefit. It's it's a show me the money. So by us raising the the salary schedule for the bus drivers, we have

already have bus drivers who are saying that they would have to come back. So, the two extra positions that we still have that are open looks like we may be able to fill. We're going to be able to get all of our subs off of routes and have them just actually been substitute drivers. >> So, I move to approve the budget. >> I'll second it. Yes, Miss Amaras. Yes, Miss Lewis. >> Yes, >> Mr. McKin. >> Yes, >> Mr. Austra. >> Yes. >> Updates to sponsor titles, job descriptions, and stipens for the So, that's a motion I believe. [Music] Okay, we >> screen. >> Yes. >> Is that a motion? >> I can see the motion. >> Yes. The athletic director recommends the approval of the attach that description. >> Yeah, >> see the star.

So if it has a star that means it's a mobile. >> Okay. I move to approve the athletic director's recommendation of the approval of the attention sponsor titles descriptions and second >> miss. Yes. >> Yes. >> Mr. McIn >> Mr. Astro. >> Yes. And the drama club is looking for approval um for their musical purposes. So, last year it was really cool. >> I'll make a motion to >> Miss Lever. >> Yes. >> Miss, >> yes. >> Miss, >> yes. >> Mr. Mig, >> yes. >> Mr. Ash, >> yes. And that do we have a call with public yelling online? Lots of events coming up. [Music] Just a reminder, we do have our governing board retreat scheduled for September 30th at 2 from 2 to 6 here over here on campus. And also I would

like um you to notice that on October 16th uh we have an admin governing board and continental foundation board appreciation dinner. Uh Mr. Phil Stovers is wanting to host all of these entities to um cook a paella for all of us. Spouses are invited, families are invited. I will be the assistant chef. So, I'll be I'll be helping. So, please mark your calendars for 5:00 on that day and hopefully notice all and we don't know where it's going to be yet. Excuse me. We don't know where it's >> going to be at his house. >> Okay. >> Yes, because he has the pa. >> He says what? >> It's a >> It's like big. It's like it's rice with the best one. It's kind of like gumbo. Okay, I'll be there. >> Yes. So, he

wanted he got >> there. It's he is paying for everything. He just wants to do a board appreciation and he was a board member years ago. Very involved and very supportive of our school. >> Mr. Le, how's the new alignment for the athletics? >> Remember we >> not alignment but schedule. >> Oh, okay. The new league. >> Yeah. >> Sorry. >> Budget. What? So, just a reminder, this year, um, we created in partnership with the Cerrito School District, the Santaita Mountain League. Um, and so for first quarter, we have girls volleyball and we have co-ed flag football and cross country running. Um, so we are about halfway into our game so far. We played Serita today. Our boys and girls for football did really well with a score of I heard 77 to zero. >>

05672. Was it 72? I wasn't there. I was here. So 72 to Z. Thank you for correcting me. >> Couple points are crucial. So they're doing really well. Um the boys have lost one game on the trail so far, but remember the new schedule. The reason we want to bring it up is we play every school twice now instead of once. So we will see them um here at Continental um coming soon. So the boys are really excited to get a win at that next game with them. Um and then with cross country um that's going well as well. We're really excited. We have two new coaches that are just doing amazing. um the Duncan a dad and son combo. So they're doing really really well and they've got about 18 kids every day showing

up and running for them. Um and with that they um are still competing with some of the old schools. So like with Rio Rico, we were just there um yesterday. Yes, yesterday we were at Rio Rico. Um and then we were at Emily Gay last week. And so we're still competing with some of those schools from the old league on some of those sports like cross country, track, wrestling. Um so so far so good. It's been great. So far we're really we'll see the second round of sports. Our coaches were excited because when you play a team twice, it gives you the ability to coaches to plan a little bit more for what the other team's bringing. So we're excited to see how that goes for the second half of the season. So thank you.

>> Thank you. >> Does that answer all your questions? Yeah. Thanks. Okay. With that that'll take us. Does anybody have anything for the board or if not we'll just came in? >> Um so I had a family emergency I had to deal with. So I still need to get pictures of everything that I need to take care of and make sure Mr. [Music] anywhere. Parents, preparing advis on the way out by the door. [Music] We have [Music] a [Music] I try to do it Yeah. I'll see you I know. I can see [Music] I guess not. No, she doesn't have the silence.
