001as we develop as an organization, we'll we'll keep uh right now we're looking at small projects to help funding wise. We know with state bill one, everything getting tough. So, we know that the community is going to have to wrap and really to keep them around. So, that's really kind of what we wanted to do was bring ahead to everything. So, that's um that's all the things I have written down. I believe you guys have any questions on campus progress. >> We'd love to have you all attend. Thank you for everything. Great job. Great group. >> I was going to wait until the end to share my positives, but I'll go ahead and just throw those in. Um I just want to share some good things that are happening at Rosedale Elementary. Um during this

002Christmas season, we have helped families of 57 Southwest Park students. 57 um with Christmas assistance. We used our student assistant fund that's generated by donations to provide some, but we had a ton of community support to provide that for our kids. Typically, we would want to which is a triapp shop with RMC co-op. Shop with a cop with the Park County American Legion and Daily Child are just some of we also had four families within our community reach out and want to adopt children um and for Christmas as well. So, I just want to give a big shout out to that and put those numbers out there because I think that that is phenomenal. Um I got another really good phone call today. Um, actually it was an email and then I got to make

003a really good phone call, but Park County Community Foundation has some donors that are looking to take care of preschool families that have been um affected by the CCDF freeze and funding. Um, we don't have any. We just became eligible to receive that CCDF funding this year amid the the the freeze. Perfect timing. Um, but with our out of district prek kiddos paying tuition, they wanted to sponsor a child that may have trouble paying their tuition. Um, so Colleen Engel reached out to me today and said that there was a donor that wanted to sponsor one of my preschool kiddos um and pay their tuition for the rest of the school year. So I got to call that parent and say, "Hey, we know you need help. Park County Community Foundation is going to take

004care of you." So that was a great phone call to make. Um, and then we are in the middle of our mid-year diagnostic for I Ready. The amount of growth that my teachers are excited to share with specific students and just their whole class in general is amazing. Um, I love seeing that growth that they have, you know, just between this beginning of the year and then right before Christmas. It's huge. Um, and then kindergarten's been using Hegarity a lot, which is a foundational reading program. Um, and they wanted me to share with you guys that that has brought a lot of growth within their classroom, too. They've they both said that they have seen a big difference with the kiddos this year that are going through that program. So, that's it. >> Lots of

005fun stuff. >> I'll jump in with a couple positives to piggy back off of that, too. Um, I learned checkpoints have been going on and at Montazuma, we have two grade levels that are higher than the state average on checkpoint one. Um, at Rosedale we have three grade levels that are higher than >> the state average on checkpoint one. That's that's a pretty big deal >> right there. Um, and then with the diagnostics, I've been, you know, we're in the middle of that testing, so I get a lot of teacher requests to reset students and sometimes it's because they just blew off the test and we need to test them again. But I love how much I am getting asked to for by a student to retake the test by the student's choice. The student

006isn't happy with their results. The student thinks they can do better. Can I try again? That's huge for kids to care enough to retake an hourlong test because they think they can do better and they want to reach their growth goal. That's a major culture shift and I it just makes me giddy. So, I just wanted to share that. >> Outstanding. Thank you. >> Yeah. Our student over at Monzuma sponsored uh I think it was the last count was 10 full Thanksgiving meals [cough and clears throat] for families and um you know piggyback on the diagnostics it's interesting when you're in the cafeteria and you have a kid walk up go can I tell you something I just grew 30 points on my English language art I just grew 40 points on my math at

007the end of the day we do shout outs for students and staff during our announcements the other day I did a shout out because a student improved 108 points Wow. >> English language arts that is almost a full grade level. >> Yeah. 82 >> and uh you know so we're seeing that growth and you know we're doing heity in kindergarten but you fly in in our other grades has been a tremendous help when we're intervention uh doing interventions with students. So it's been it's been great. >> Well I guess I'll go too. [laughter] >> I like it though. That's a good all of them. Uh right now down at the high school uh as we speak there is a drama performance this including the arts all all of the arts art music everybody get in

008the mix. A lot of excitement there. We have a very young um and enthusiastic uh drama sponsor. So I'm hoping for some other performances uh that she has plans for other performances coming up. Santa store will open up uh so next week. Uh we've identified students, we've shots, we're we'll have the displays, we'll you know, we've been doing this for for many years. And um you know, we'll have a lot of kids with a lot of smiles uh on their faces when we allow them to shop and or present their gifts to them or hide them in their lockers. We have a lot of fun with that. Thanks to Nikki Jax for always making that a priority. Um the next week, next Wednesday, I believe it is, Mr. Correct me if I'm wrong. The uh

009the youth football uh movie at the Rrist Theater, uh I went last year. It was so much fun and those kids absolutely love it. Santa in the mix, toys being donated. Uh the toys that are donated will come right back to our kids. I'll get them to the elementary schools uh and work on that. Thanks to the um the Panthers for Progress. Uh I've only met with them once, but it was a uh extremely positive uh experience and I hope for more opportunities uh dinner for the uh our staff. Let's go. We carve up right before finals. So next Wednesday we'll bring foulies in for our our staff members. Tomorrow is youth and government day the 45th. Mark, am I not am I correct on that? I think it's 45 right? >> Uh I've got

01012 seniors that will attend that. I think that Mr. Adams is on the panel for the afternoon discussion if I'm not not mistaken as well. But that's an an amazing opportunity. I love it to see our kids interact with a lot of the the local leaders. As I said, final exams are next Thursday and Friday. Hard to believe. Uh and two big grants that recently uh have been awarded. The A department got a $20,000 plus grant. Uh and then also the uh music department through the community foundation got a very large around $20,000 grant as well. So, some some good things happen in there. Happy holiday. >> Anybody else? >> All right, we'll move on to consent agenda items. See those listed there in front of you? I'll entertain a motion to approve as presented.

011>> I'll make a motion to approve. >> We have a motion. Is there a second? >> I'll second. >> Have a motion and second. There any questions on the motion? Hearing none, all those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. Dr. Harrison, superintendent report. >> Okay. On page 30 of your board packet, you have my written report. Uh just going to highlight a few things. The federal nut nutrition reimbursement that we were concerned about uh thanks to [snorts] the government opening back up. It's just going to be a little bit delayed, but we should still be in a good place in terms of the fund balance there. Uh bond balances, our 2023 bond balance is 651, uh $25.78. That includes the interest earned at $594,47570. Our go bond from

0122024 is sitting at $45,948. Uh and our 2022 geo bond has been fully spent down now. So, we've still got a little bit of bond money there for some projects that we we need to look at. Uh, just in terms of finance, just bringing to your attention some ED fund balances. Um, October end of month cash was $890,28145 and here we are at the end of November. Our end of month cash was $77176263. So our projected end of year cash is and that is u that's significantly lower than our end of year for 24 which was 1 million 753 733 and41. Uh our ops fund end of month October was at 36,754.74 cents. November we ran that into the red at 183 10 and 12 cents. Our projected end of year is still positive at

013256 32250 uh which is actually an improvement from the 2024 end of year which was 184,53943. So again looking at the the finances we got to be conservative. We got to be very careful in what we're doing. Uh things continue to change on us on a regular basis. Uh which I think is a good time for me to to bring up the article that I left for you at your uh location. Each of you has a copy of the article from the Indiana Capital Chronic Chronicle, Indiana School Leaders Warn Property Tax Reforms are destabilizing public education budgets. Uh if you've not had a chance to look at that particular article yet, I would highly recommend you do it. I I think it's a pretty good summation of what's happening in public school finance in the

014state right now. And it's it's scary is what it is. So, this is based on a survey of 148 of the state's 290 traditional school corporation superintendent. 95.3 of the districts [clears throat] uh Senate enrolled act one to negative negatively impact their funding in 2025. We've already seen that with our decreased AV coming up. Um 99.3 expect impacts in future years. It's interesting to read through this because it's spot on. Um whenever you look at schools who have were funded by property taxes, I mean that's been the base of what we do. Cinn Ro act one changed that property tax structure considerably and it it hurts us. I think one of the the hardest paragraphs to read is in the second page of this which talks about Senate enrolled act one decreases the taxable assessed

015value available to school corporations through expanded deductions that phase in through 2031. Well, for 26, we've already seen our AV decline by 3% and it's projected to continue decline in each of the next three years. We saw the analysis that showed that on the operation side, we're projected to lose about $360,000 just on property tax side. Doesn't include the local income tax that will be not available to schools starting in 2028. When you think about the fact that these these tax hits are going to keep rolling through 2031, it gives us a lot of pause for pause to think about what we are doing as a district, how we are managing our finances and our operations side in particular. Um, so I want you to take a look at that when you have a chance

016because I think it's very informative and I think it's pretty accurate. Uh, it's pretty consistent with what I see in our statewide superintendent Zoom sessions. Every Friday 8:00 in the morning, we have about 160 to 180 of the superintendents across the state that we get together on Zoom. We talk about the big issues that are facing us and there's not a week that goes by that somebody isn't telling a a new Easter egg that they found thanks to the new taxation system and it's creating a lot of issues for a lot of different districts and we're seeing a lot of people scrambling to try to figure out how to make things work. This particular article was based upon the survey from the Indiana Coalition for Public Education and I have a copy of that for

017[clears throat] each of you as well. It's got a lot of detail from the 148 respondents about the things that are being considered. And we're seeing we're seeing a lot of different considerations from a lot of different districts doing a lot of different things from personnel changes to uh reorganization of districts to facility closures to transportation uh sessation which is is really rattling the the communities that that these schools are serving. And I would love to tell you that we're going to be immune from this. Um but but we're already seeing some of that impact and and we've been doing projections for 26 and 27 28 and some of those are also showing more significant impact. So, I just want you to have a look at that so that you're fully prepared as we move

018forward and and have a basis for talking about the things that you're seeing because this these documents, they they really detail it quite well. And I think that's something that we all need to just be on the same page with that. Having said some of the negative things, I got to get on this positive bandwagon. We're going to we're going to end with some happy notes. Okay, happy note number one. On the operation side, [clears throat] we did get uh we did get a check from RMC in the amount of about $8,500. We've been participating in the load shed program for the last several years. That was for a one-day load shed in August, I believe, is when they did their shutdown. One day, 8,500 bucks is what we got out of. The nice thing

019about RMC that that takes care of the high school campus. Um, the nice thing about that program, it used to be just for summer months, but they're now expanding that that shed so they can kind of look for peaks in seasons and they can communicate with us and the the other users so that we can start to do some shed in other seasons and hopefully get that uh that contribution come back to us be higher. The highest I've seen it was about 14,000. That was about three years ago. I think we had a couple of days where we did a shutdown. So, we'd love to see it back up into that area again and we're very happy to partner with RMC throughout that whole process. They've been great to work with. They they work with

020our maintenance folks very well. They give them heads up and they say, "We can see the peak rising to this point on this particular day. Let's do what we can to to shed some load and get some of those savings back in your pocket." And it's been it's been a good program. So, thanks to RMC and the folks that have been running that. Uh Chad has been a great influence in that. He was all all on board from day one and that's when he still had to drive around all the buildings and throw throw switches by hand. Now you can do it by computer which makes it a whole lot better. And the last high the last high point I got to tell you the high point of my week so far. I mean I

021know it's only Wednesday but uh yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of visiting a kindergarten class at Rosedale with Mrs. Suta's class. got to read to them the story of the candy cane. I told Mrs. Klehorn, I said, "I'm so happy I left. I don't feel like I have pink eye or the flute." You know, I've been out there before where kids don't really know boundaries. And this group, man, they know their boundaries. And they were a well- behaved young batch and they were awesome. You know, it's been I was thinking about this earlier. So, I used to regularly interact with elementary uh kindergarten kids as part of my elementary music gig, right? I got thinking today. I like my last batch of full-time kindergarters that I had, I think they're turning 30 this year.

022So, [clears throat] it kind of makes me feel a little bit old, but it was so much fun. And I appreciate the schools inviting me to participate and do those things. And anytime I can hang out in elementary buildings, it's like going home. So, I appreciate that so much. I appreciate the flexibility that you all give me to do those things. Terms of board calendar, you see that on page 30. Uh, our next big round of sessions is going to be in January. January 14th, we do our annual board of finance presentation. We'll do our annual board reorganization meeting where we will actually seat a new member. We'll talk about that here shortly. And [snorts] uh then we'll do our regular board meeting, executive session that night. So, if you have any questions for me,

023I'll do my best to respond to that. >> Any questions? Thanks. Uh, is there any old business come before the board? None. >> Moving on to new business. First item is uh discussion regarding the application uh for the board vacancy and the schedule and the timeline for filling the vacancy. >> So in November we established um the advertisement period for the board vacancy which ran from the day after the board meeting to Friday December 5th at noon. Uh that vacancy was advertised in the Sentinel. It was advertised on our website and through our social media once per week during the advertisement period. At the conclusion of that advertisement period, we have received one application for the the board seat. That application came from Mr. Kevin Allen who is present tonight. Uh when we had talked

024in November, we had established that if we had more than one applicant, we would have open public interviews to comply with statute. Uh our legal council and school board association council has informed me that with one applicant, we do not have to do a public interview per se. So that dispenses with our meeting that was scheduled for December 17th. We will not have that. But on the other side of that coin, we can grill Mr. Allen briefly tonight while he is here. So Mr. Allan, if you would like to introduce yourself to the board and the community and [clears throat] just give us a sense of uh what made you apply for the seat and what you hope to bring to the board and hope to accomplish. >> Sure. I had nine conference calls today.

025So, uh bear with me. [clears throat] In fact, I actually had a River Park senior shadow me today. Um that's why we had so many calls so we could learn about what I do. Um I grew up here. Uh my parents were quite involved at Riverton Park. My mom retired as a school secretary. My dad was a school bus driver um and then a chief of police and deputy sheriff. I made the choice to move back home about four years ago. It's been my goal to be part of the board. Um I give back as much as I can. My goals to be on the board is to try to bring some financial acumen to the board. um and help out wherever I can in the community and um just be as transparent and a

026community activist as much as I can to anyone that [clears throat] that has questions or concerns. Um as well as I believe the relationships that I have with the current board and I think the administrative staff um is a positive as well. But I submitted a packet happy to give it to anybody that would like to have it. Um I am an open book. Um, I'm very passionate about the school. I will be upfront and say my kids do not go to the school. Um, but I am passionate about making sure it is the best school that we can be. Um, and not just River Park, but Rosedale and um, Monizuma. I got to visit both of them this week. Actually, we handed out candy canes as part of the football program. We do that

027every year and footballs. And I just love being around it. Love seeing what what's possible. And um, I understand the restraints that we have as part of finance. I understand um as much as I can about banking and rates and and on the finance side, but I also um would say that I probably can also help with grant writing and um I think through some corporate donations, we can probably impact the bottom line as much as we can here at Griffin Park and Southwest Park. So, questions from anyone? I'll take any question from the board, from the audience. Be happy to. I think we're good. Welcome, Kevin. >> Oh, it's official now. Okay. >> Well, in January. Yeah. >> Well, I'm h I'm happy that we're skipping the 17th, the the movie night at the

028Ritz that the football program puts on is one of my favorite nights as well. U we have a sponsor this year for it. Bucks gas stations and Rosedale Monzuma just wrote a unlimited check for every single person to come in with their family, get a popcorn and a drink and we'll show a movie. So, um >> is good about that. Huh? >> Jay is good about that. >> Jay's gone now. So, it was obviously uh Yeah, it was actually someone else, but um nothing's nothing's changed. Yep. They they've been happy to help out >> back in the past. >> So, any questions, comments, concerns? I appreciate everyone's support. I know it won't be easy. Um but like everything else I've done, it'll be 100 mph and probably with passion. So, Phil, I've got a lot

029of questions. So, >> thank you, Kevin. Yeah. >> All right. Next item is the 2627 academic calendar. Uh be the second reading and action where we'll be taking it on it this evening. >> Page 44 of your board packet. You have the calendar. [snorts] We had it out and available for people to comment on and we still have 180 days on that calendar. So [clears throat] I think it is ready for board approval. >> Vice had the opportunity to review it. Is there a motion to approve the 2627 calendar? [clears throat] >> I'll make that a motion. >> We have a motion. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion is second. Are there any questions on the motion? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. Those opposed. Motion carries.

030The next item is [clears throat] the review and approval of the 2026 mowing bid notice. >> Page 44. uh excuse me, 45 of your board packet. You see the actual notice that we'd like to submit uh to potential vendors and get that advertised. Um following the same process that we followed before that we'll get uh bids quotes up to uh Tuesday, January 13th, and then we will open them in our public meeting on the 14th and make a selection. None of the other tenants of the of the packet have changed. Still 26 M will require the same level of insurance, same equipment list, same in indentification, non-lusion affidavit. All those pieces have stayed the same. Okay. >> I just need your approval to move forward and advertise it. >> Is there a motion to approve

031the RFP for the mowing contract? >> I'll make that motion. Have a motion. Is there a second? >> Second. Second. Are there any questions? >> Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. Those opposed motion carries. Uh food service request to uh for funding for ovens at the River to Park High School. >> So Riverton Park high schools have they got ovens down. Um Janelle Mcccleintoch has indicated the food service department equipment budget has no money available to it and there are no equipment [snorts] grants to cover this at this time. So to u to hopefully expedite the process of getting [snorts] those things replaced, she has submitted three quotes, four quotes it looks like, ranging from about 10,155 up to about 28,000 for oven replacement. And she is asking the

032board if the board would allow the corporation to to make the the funding of those. I would recommend the 10,155 quote in case you're wondering. I would not. We don't we don't need the uh the Mercedes bins of pizza ovens and such. >> Okay, you've heard the recommendation. Um we will amend. Is there a motion to approve? >> I'll make a motion. >> There is a motion. Mark, would you uh agree with the amendment for the $10,000? Yes. >> Um of at this time. Okay. Duly noted for the $10,000 of the three quotes. We have a motion. Is there a second? >> We have a motion as a second. Are there any questions on the motion? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> Those opposed? Motion carries. Uh review

033of the 2526 teacher appreciation grant guidelines and application process. So teacher appreciation grant for years has been u a way the state provided a little additional income for each of our teachers who were effective or highly effective and for this academic year they have changed that grant program completely. The board we heard some about it over the summer. The board did approve us moving forward and applying to be a part of the grant program, but the grant program itself now says at maximum [snorts] we could honor up to 20% of our teachers. And we would have to provide them with a grant uh either $3,500 as a tier one, $5,000 if they meet the tier 2 qualifications, or $7,000 they meet the tier three qualifications. Then the state of Indiana provided us with um an

034an allocation amount and you could see it on page 67. Uh their allocation amount to be distributed is $35,648.83. Now I I'll do this as nicely as I can. You can do the math. And if we gave $3,500, if we give tier ones, how many tier ones could we give with $35,000, right? We could give 10 10 teachers does not equal 20% of our teaching staff. Okay, this is the money that we have to work with. So then it becomes how how do we distribute this money? Um what we have seen throughout the association discussion, throughout superintendent discussions, schools are putting together applications and teachers are applying for the grant if they want to be considered for the grant. So what you have in your board packet is the grant application that I would like

035you to approve so that we can then distribute that to our teachers. Then it will be up to the teachers to apply and present evidence of tier one worthiness, tier two, tier three, which in this case, none of our teachers would qualify for tier 2 or tier three as of this grant cycle simply because there was not a formalized mentoring program established within the district last year. Okay? So that means we'll be able to give out essentially 10 of these grants. um but they will have to apply. If we get more than 10 applications, then what we do is we do a document review and it goes into a lottery system. Um the lottery system sounds a little bit unfair, but it's the most fair thing that that we and the association could come up

036with. This document that you see has been discussed and reviewed and vetted through the association. um and they they agree that this is probably the best way to go about it. This is consistent with what other districts are doing and it's it's not a good system. It it's just not a good system, right? Um we will not be able to honor as many teachers. We will not be able to honor as many teachers as the state said we could honor even with the allocation that they have provided. But I think we have to do due diligence to make it available because I would hate to take some money out of a teacher's pocket if they meet the qualifications. So you've had the opportunity to review. I ask that you approve this so that we can

037get it pushed out to teachers and they can have the [clears throat] time to complete the application, submit the evidence in a timely manner so that then we can review it and then make our notification to the state. Approve the explanation. Is there a motion to approve? >> Motion to approve. >> Motion. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion is second. Are there any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. Uh clarification regarding agricultural ECA stifen and summer agricultural experience compensation. So you have in your board packet an an overview of summer a and a eca stipen and there was some confusion about what each of these kind of covered and so we did some historical research and we found some historical

038documentation but I'm not sure it was sufficient enough to make the state board of accounts happy. So that's why it's coming back before you but this is the codification of what we have been doing. So we have this stipen for our a teachers. They do summer work. They do conferences with kids. They do a whole lot of other things with kids. That's part of their ECA stipen. The summer a experience is an actual vocational class that they can offer on top of that. So kids can get summer hours and internships through agriculture and a whole variety of other things. Our teachers can then submit mileage and they can submit their hours and be paid for the summer a experience. So this document codifies everything as clearly as I think that we can. So the a

039ECA stipen that's for there there'll be three payments for that. Onethird of it goes in the fall, one third of it goes in the spring and oneird of it goes for the summer. That stipen is already granted. It's it it is what it is. The summer a experience vocational course. So that means a kid signs up for this course. They need a summer school teacher to provide for them. [snorts] A summer a instructional person would receive the the instructional rate of $35 per hour and they would receive the mileage rate according to the IRS mileage rate. And to receive compensation for the hourly rate for the mileage, the instructors would be required to submit everything on corporation approved forms. This just codifies what we've already been doing and clarifies it so that hopefully the state

040board of accounts then smiles upon it when we write the checks. >> Is there a motion to approve? >> I make that a motion. >> We have a motion. That motion is second. There any questions? >> Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. uh resolution to authorize treasur and superintendent to make adjustments to the budgets after department of local government finance review. >> Okay. So the the [clears throat] next three items are traditional endofear items. Uh the one that we're looking at now gives us the authorization to adjust after we get the the DLGF review of the budget. Uh we do not have our 1782 notice yet, but you know it's still it's still December. They might get it to us by the 30th like they did

041last year. Um, but this would allow us to make the adjustments that the LGF requires us to make. Requires your approval. Motion to approve. I'll >> make a motion to approve. Have a >> motion. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion second. Are there any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> Those opposed? Motion carries. We have a recommendation to authorize corporation treasur to pay claims through 1231 of 2025. >> We have a motion [snorts] motion second. Are there any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. Those opposed. Motion carries. A final item under new business uh recommendation to authorize corporation treasur to make transfers within funds to balance 2025. >> Make that motion second. >> Have a motion in second. Are there

042any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. Moving on to personnel. First item is a recommendation to employ Linda a Atkinson health aid at Monazuma Elementary. Have a motion. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Motion is second. There any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. Recommendation to pay summer experience, instruction, and mileage for Michaela Woods and Micah Humphre. >> I'll make that motion. Second motion and a second. Are there any questions? Hearing none. All those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> Those opposed. Motion carries. Recommendation to employee Harley Gman. [snorts] >> Harrison and Dr. Shim from Central Park are part of an application to the Park County Learning Center board which I'm the president of that focused on preschool and and you know young very young students and we were very pleased and Aby's kind of already gotten into this that we did not have to grant that because community

044foundation had a donor that came in basically said they had enough money they would completely cover that. I guess I would commend you on the fact that the two corporations went together and cooperated in doing that. I thought that was a very positive thing and even greater things to have someone come in and just say we don't need to spend that money on that. So we'll be able to have a grant opportunity in the spring at some point when we try to distribute some of those funds. And the second one is as was mentioned about youth and government day and this is just a quick one for you but if anybody has any particular issues that the board is thinking about um each time I do three different scenarios for the students to do the

045board we'll get to see that tomorrow Nathan um and I don't have one yet for schools I'll have it by midnight but I don't have one yet or or something else but if there is a particular issue of some kind that maybe you've been toying with or thinking about you've done things like uh whether school students can be a part of, you know, sports teams, air, you know, air pods and such various things like that, you know, things like that. So, if anybody has any suggestions, >> time to do it, I won't get to it till I get home. >> Thank you, Mark. >> Any other comments? >> Any other items come before the board? The only other item that I have tonight is I would just like to honor Mark Maiden for his service.

046Mark, this is his last meeting and uh my goodness, I was thinking about all the fun things that you've gotten to do since you came on the board, right? You know, >> came in just in time for a pandemic >> and uh some of the things with that. And now you're seeing some of the school finance pieces. And we appreciate your heart for the district and for the kids of this district. And we appreciate your loyal service to the board. And we do have a lovely parting gift for you. It's your name plate in front of you. Uh so you can take that [laughter] with you. But but thank you for your service and please don't be a stranger. Please feel free to call and call these guys and complain and call me and tell

047me how great things are. >> I will do that. Thank you. >> Yes. Thank you, Mark. Thank you for your time and your service to the corporation and and the kids within the district. It's it's time consuming. It's uh it's very difficult at times, but uh you you've stood strong and and been there and made the right decisions for the corporation. I appreciate your leadership and your friendship for the years that you've been here. So, thank you again. Correspondence, >> none. >> Claims >> many, >> always. Uh, you have received those under a different email, but if you need a refresher, page 270 of your board packet, you'll see the accounts payable claims for this evening. Ask board, take a minute to review the latest version of the claims and Okay, everybody's having enough time

048to review the updated version. I'll entertain motion as presented. >> Have a motion. Is there a second? >> I'll second. Motion second. Are there any questions? >> Hearing none. I would recommend for those of you that have not had the opportunity to read this article, it's very interesting uh explaining what exactly Senate and roll

050back does to the to the schools and what we're hearing from some other leadership throughout the state. >> I have some copies if anybody wants. You know, I think the the statistic that I found most staggering in here was uh combined with the districts that are considering reductions, more than 90% reported that cuts of to staffing or facilities are on the table. And you know, so we're not the only ones staring down the barrel, but if you get a chance, that's a good read and uh share it with others.
