020you kids my kids are in their 30s they graduated a long time ago but we have always had the inspiration to pay it forward so that all the kids that are coming through Continental have the same experience that my children had to help them with the foundation to go on to healthy lives um as stepen said if he came to the Continental School foundation in September and said can you help us raise money for this this program and so I said yeah we'll try and do that so we I got met Matt this is Matt Soder and he is at Freeport macaran and he's in charge of all the uh grants that are given out uh by Freeport macaran who give out millions of dollars to Southern Arizona so I met Matt and so Matt

021and I worked and we did the the grant together really because he was giving me a lot of advice the reason is because we want you students to be successful and this is your foundation and now you are going to be able to play while you're you're learning so that is the reason that we did this so you guys take advantage of this and have a wonderful school year and a wonderful life thank you [Applause] I also want to just give a shout out to Michelle wera and Mr and Mrs U for also helping with the sensory walk we really appreciate all your help over break [Applause] [Music] hey everybody how's cental doing today anybody cold know I am I'm scout master Bob I run the Scout Troop that Kale's a part of he came

022to us about two years ago and I knew that he was gonna do some great things I didn't know you were gonna do it this quickly but he did it great just want to let you know so this is the the end of his uh Eagle Scout project just giv you idea of how important it is to be an eagle scout of all the people who start scouting only 4% make it to Eagle Scout 4% that's one out of every 25 people so what he's done here is a pretty amazing thing and it's very challenging to get up there and do it and that's it um just so you know if you make it to Eagle Scout it's yours for life and it helps you if you want to go to college it get you

023kind of closer to the front of the line I know a lot of you kind of still young and not thinking about that but tell your parents that okay and also if you want to join the military it helps you advance and rank a lot faster so being an eagle scout is a big deal it's not just something you get to stick on your uniform it's a big deal so I just want everybody to do me one big favor um if you're interested in becoming a scout you can ask Mrs austr Le who's over there someplace Mrs ustr raise your hand Mrs ustr there she is way in the back there if anybody's interested in being a scout you have to be 10 years old or older and let her know and she'll get you
